Abstract

This study aims to explore the perceptions of prospective science teacher students regarding creative thinking abilities. This study is an exploratory research with research subjects as many as 14 biology education students. The research instrument used is a closed questionnaire which has been developed referring to indicators of creative thinking abilities, namely fluency, flexibility, originality and elaboration. The questionnaire has answers using a Likert scale that has been validated by experts and declared valid. This research data was analyzed using quantitative descriptive statistics and inferential statistics with the Anova test. The results of this research are (1) biology education students have an average perception score regarding creative thinking abilities, namely the Fluency indicator is 2.52 in the Tall category, Flexibility is 2.61 in the Tall category, Originality is 2.63 in the Tall category, and Elaboration of 2.67 in the Tall category; (2) there is no significant difference in students' perceptions of creative thinking abilities on the indicators of fluency, flexibility, originality and elaboration, as evidenced by the results of the Anova test with a significance value of 0.719>0.05.

Abstract

This study aims to determine biology students' perceptions of self-efficacy in the field of entrepreneurship. This study is an exploratory research with research subjects of 35 biology education students. The research instrument used was a closed questionnaire with graded answers according to a Likert scale that had been validated by experts and declared valid. The research data analysis used was descriptive statistics and inferential statistics with the Anova test at a significance level of 5%. The results of the study show that (1) students' perceptions of self-efficacy in the field of entrepreneurship have an average student answer score for semester IV of 3,09 in the Good category, semester VI of 3,12 in the Good category, and semester VIII of 3,15 in the Good category. Good category; (2) there is no significant difference in the perception of biology students in semesters IV, VI, VIII regarding self-efficacy in the field of entrepreneurship as evidenced by a significance value of 0,959 which is greater than the alpha test value of 0,05 (0,05).

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek norma subyektif terhadap minat wirausaha mahasiswa calon guru biologi. Studi ini merupakan penelitian eksploratif dengan subyek penelitian sebanyak 56 mahasiswa pendidikan biologi. Intrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah angket tertutup dengan jawaban berdegradasi sesuai skala likert yang telah divalidasi ahli dan dinyatakan valid. Analisis data penelitian yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial dengan uji regresi linier pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa (1) mahasiswa pendidikan biologi memiliki persepsi dalam kategori Baik tentang norma subyektif dan minat wirausaha; (2) ada pengaruh pembelajaran norma subyektif terhadap minat wirausaha mahasiswa dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,0050,05; (3) norma subyektif mempengaruhi minat wirausaha mahasiswa sebesar 13,9% dan sisanya dipengaruhi variabel atau faktor lainnya.

Abstract

[Title: Improving Student Cognitive Learning Outcomes using Cooperative Learning Model Type Group Investigation]. The purpose of this study was to improve student cognitive learning outcomes using the Cooperative Learning Model Type Group Investigation in class X MIA 2 students of SMAS NW Mataram in the 2018/2019 academic year. The subjects of this study were 15 students of class X MIA 2. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) consisting of two cycles. Observation sheet of learning implementation is used for each meeting to find out the implementation of learning steps according to the learning implementation plan observed by 2 observers. Test instruments of 20 multiple choice questions and 5 description questions were used in this study to find out the improvement of students' cognitive learning outcomes in each cycle. The results showed the implementation of learning in the cycle I (1) the first meeting reached 63.63% with a good category and the second meeting reached 88.8% with a very good category, (2) the cognitive learning outcomes of students in cycle 1 obtained an average value 59 with the classical completeness value achieved 46% of the incomplete category, while in cycle II (3) the first meeting of the implementation of learning reached 72.72% with a good category (4) the second meeting reached 94.44% with a very good category, and for results cognitive learning students obtained an average value of 72 with a classical completeness value achieved 76%. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the Cooperative Learning Model Type Group Investigation can improve cognitive learning outcomes of class X MIA 2 students of SMAS NW Mataram in the 2018/2019 academic year.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship learning in university becomes a bridge to build students' knowledge, interests, and skills in the entrepreneurial field. As it is to produce graduates who are creative, innovative, productive, reliable, quality, independent, having self-controlled, and competitive. This current research aimed to find out (1) the students' attitudes, subjective norms, and entrepreneurial interests; (2) the influence of subjective norms and attitudes on students’ entrepreneurial interests. It was an ex post facto research with associative descriptive approach. It was conducted in the even semester of 2020 with 56 samples of students of the Biology Education, FSTT Mandalika University of Education who were selcted using purposive sampling technique. The instrument administered was a closed questionnaire about attitudes, subjective norms, and entrepreneurial interests with a Likert scale and  it had been validated by experts. The datawere analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics with multiple linear regression tests. The results showed that the students’ entrepreneurial attitude had a mean of 3.13 in good category, the subjective norm was 3.13 in good category, and the entrepreneurial interest was 3.08 in good category. Next, the results of multiple linear regression namely (1) the F-test value fell in 16.036 and the significance value of 0.000 was greater than the alpha value of 0.05 (> 0.05). It meant that there was an influence of attitude and subjective norms simultaneously towards students’ entrepreneurial interest; (2) the t-test showed that the significance value of attitude (X1) was 0.033 and the subjective norm (X2) was 0.030 which meant greater than the alpha value 0.05 (> 0.05). It meant that there was a partial influence of attitude and subjective norms on students’ entrepreneurial interest; and (3) the coefficient of determination test showed the value of R Square was 0.377 or 37.7%. It meant that the attitude and subjective norms affected the entrepreneur's interest and the rest of the percentage was affected by other variables or factors.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan respon mahasiswa terhadap pembelajaran online pada masa pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan metode survey. Data dikumpulkan dari 150 mahasiswa pendidikan biologi Universitas Pendidikan Mandalika (UNDIKMA) menggunakan angket yang disusun pada Google Form, kemudian dianalaisis secara deskriptif berdasarkan trend data penelitian yang didapatkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 87% mahasiswa menggunakan smartphone, dan 13% menggunakan laptop. Pada aspek aplikasi, 73% menggunakan media sosial WhatsApp, 27% menggunakan website kampus. Selain itu, dalam perkuliahan online 92% mahasiswa menggunakan paket data sebagai basis jaringan internet, 62% mahasiswa menyatakan bahwa harga paket data mahal, sebesar 58% menyatakan kondisi jaringan stabil selama perkuliahan online, serta sebagian besar mahasiswa menyatakan bahwa perkuliahan online tidak efektif dibandingkan dengan perkuliahan konvensional. Rekomendasai penelitian berdasarkan respon atau persepsi mahasiswa terhadap pembelajaran online pada masa pandemi COVID-19 adalah UNDIKMA harus berusaha berusaha merancang perkuliahan yang mengakomodir antara perkuliahan online dengan perkuliahan tatap muka. Selain itu, dosen sebagai tenaga pengajar diharapkan merancang materi ajar yang lebih menarik, dan mudah diakses oleh mahasiswa.Student response to online learning during the Covid-19 pandemicAbstractThe purpose of this study was to describe student responses to online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is a descriptive study with a survey method. Data were collected from 150 biology education students of Mandalika Education University (UNDIKMA) using a questionnaire compiled on Google Form, then analyzed descriptively based on the trends of the research data obtained. The results showed 87% of students used smartphones, and 13% used laptops. In the application aspect, 73% use WhatsApp social media, 27% use campus websites. In addition, in online lectures 92% of students use data packages as the basis for the internet network, 62% of students stated that the price of data packages is expensive, 58% stated that the network conditions were stable during online lectures, and most students stated that online lectures were ineffective compared to conventional lectures. Research recommendations based on student responses or perceptions of online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic are that UNDIKMA should try to design lectures that accommodate online lectures with face-to-face lectures. In addition, lecturers as teaching staff are expected to design teaching materials that are more attractive and easily accessible to students.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan keterampilan sosial dan hasil belajar siswa setelah pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe (STAD). Posttest control group design digunakan dalam penelitian eksperimen semu ini. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas VII A (kelompok eksperimen) dan kelas B (kelompok control) yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi keterlaksanaan RPP, lembar observasi keterampilan sosial, tes hasil belajar kognitif siswa dan lembar validasi soal. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif dan statistic menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keterampilan sosial kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok control berkategori baik. Hasil uji statistic menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dengan kelompok control (thitung= 1,53 < ttabel= 1,93) meskipun secara deskriptif skor rata-rata hasil belajar kelompok eksperimen lebih baik dari kelompok control (mean= 63,75 vs. mean= 50,52). Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh signifikan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD terhadap keterampilan sosial dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. The Effect of the STAD Type Cooperative Learning Model on Students' Social Skills and Cognitive Learning Outcomes Abstract The purpose of this study was to describe social skills and student learning outcomes after learning using the STAD type cooperative learning model. Posttest control group design was used in this quasi-experimental research. The samples of this study were class VII A (experimental group) and class B (control group) which were selected using purposive sampling technique. The instruments used in this study were the lesson plan implementation observation sheet, social skills observation sheet, student cognitive learning outcomes test and question validation sheets. The research data were analyzed descriptively and statistically using t-test. The results showed that the social skills of the experimental group and the control group were categorized as good. The results of the statistical test showed that there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group (tcount= 1.53 < ttable= 1.93) although descriptively the average score of the experimental group's learning outcomes was better than the control group (mean= 63.75 vs. mean = 50.52). This study concludes that there is no significant effect of the STAD type cooperative learning model on social skills and students' cognitive learning outcomes.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui profil minat wirausaha (entrepreneur) mahasiswa. studi ini merupakan penelitian ex post facto dengan pendekatan deskriptif eksploratif dengan responden sebanyak 56 mahasiswa. Intrumen penelitian ini adalah angket tertutup dengan pilihan jawaban berdegradasi skala likert dan telah divalidasi oleh pakar (expert) serta dinyatakan valid. Analisis data penelitian yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) minat wirausaha mahasiswa yang berjenis kelamin laki-laki memiliki rata-rata skor minat wirausaha sebesar 3,28 dengan kategori Baik, sedangkan yang perempuan sebesar 3,03 dengan kategori Baik; (2) profil minat wirausaha mahsiswa menunjukkan bahwa 80,36% mahasiswa yakin untuk memilih berwirausaha daripada bekerja pada orang lain, 76,78% mahasiswa yakin untuk memilih berkarir sebagai wirausaha, 98,22% mahasiswa yakin wirausaha dapat meningkatkan status sosial, dan 94,64% mahasiswa yakin wirausaha berpotensi memiliki pendatapan yang lebih tinggi.

Abstract

Pendidikan kewirausahaan pada perguruan tinggi menjadi solusi untuk membangun pengetahuan, keterampilan, sikap, dan minat mahasiswa dalam bidang wirausaha (entrepreneur), sehingga dapat menghasilkan lulusan yang kreatif, inovatif, produktif, handal, berkualitas, mandiri, memiliki self control, dan kompetitif. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan sikap terhadap minat wirausaha mahasiswa. Studi ini merupakan penelitian ex post facto dengan pendekatan deskriptif korelasional dengan subyek penelitian sebanyak 56 orang mahasiswa. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket tertutup dengan skala Likert dan yang telah divalidasi (validasi ahli). Angket disebarkan dengan dengan memanfaatkan media google form. Data penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan statistik inferensial dengan uji korelasi product moment. Hasil studi ini menunjukkan bahwa sikap kewirausahaan mahasiswa sebesar 3,13 dengan kategori Baik, sedangkan minat wirausaha mahasiswa sebesar 3,11 dengan kategori Baik. Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada korealasi yang signifikan antara sikap dengan minat wirausaha mahasiswa dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,418 lebih besar dari nilai alpha pengujian 0,05 (>0.05); (3) nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,418 yang artinya hubungan (korelasional) bersifat sedang atau cukup.

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa Fakultas Sains, Teknik, dan Terapan (FSTT) Universitas Pendidikan Mandalika terhadap pembelajaran sistem daring pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Studi ini merupakan penelitian ex post facto dengan pendekatan deskriptif eksploratif. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa FSTT Universitas Pendidikan Mandalika sebanyak 176 orang yang diperoleh dengan teknik convenience sampling. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada semester genap tahun akademik 2020/2021. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket tertutup tentang persepsi mahasiswa pendidikan terhadap pembelajaran daring dengan jawaban berdegradasi sesuai skala likert dan telah divalidasi ahli. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagaian besar jawaban mahasiswa memberikan respon negatif pada pernyataan tentang efektivitas interaksi antara mahasiswa dan dosen, ataupun interaksi antar mahasiswa; efektivitas penyampaian pendapat dan pertanyaan; efektivitas elaborasi materi pembelajaran oleh dosen; efektivitas respon atau umpan balik dari dosen maupun mahasiswa; efektivitas diskusi dan kolaborasi antar mahasiswa; timbulnya miskomunikasi antara dosen dan mahasiswa, ataupun miskomunikasi antar mahasiswa. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran sistem daring di Fakultas Sains, Teknik, dan Terapan Universitas Pendidikan Mandalika pada masa pandemi covid-19 berlangsung kurang efektif.
