Insomnia is a prevalent comorbidity among middle-aged individuals with hypertension. Dhikr relaxation, an Islamic spirituality-based intervention, has been proposed as a non-pharmacological approach to improve sleep quality. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of dhikr relaxation therapy in reducing insomnia among middle-aged hypertensive patients. The study involved 18 participants aged 40–59 years diagnosed with stage 2 hypertension. Participants were randomly assigned to either an experimental group (n = 9) that received dhikr relaxation therapy or a control group (n = 9) that received no treatment. Insomnia was measured using the Athens Insomnia Scale (AIS) at the posttest and the two-week follow-up. Data were analyzed using paired t-tests and the Mann-Whitney U test, based on assumptions of normality and homogeneity. The results showed no statistically significant difference in insomnia scores between the experimental and control groups at both posttest and follow-up (p > 0.05). Additionally, there was no significant within-group change in insomnia scores over time. Dhikr relaxation therapy did not demonstrate effectiveness in reducing insomnia among middle-aged hypertensive patients. Potential confounding factors such as gender imbalance and participant background may have affected the results. Further studies with larger, more diverse samples and refined methodology are recommended.

ABSTRAK: Penyakit kanker payudara mengalami peningkatan yang besar dalam jumlah serta menjadi faktor kematian tertinggi pada perempuan. Penyakit kanker payudara dan dampaknya terhadap gejala depresi bagi penderitanya patut menjadi perhatian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas terapi zikir istigfar dalam menurunkan depresi pada penderitanya. Penelitian quasi-experimental ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pretest-posttest control group with follow up design yang melibatkan 12 perempuan pasien kanker payudara. Partisipan kelompok eksperimen (n=6) dan kelompok kontrol (n=6). Kepada partisipan diberikan prates, pascates, serta tindak lanjut dengan skala Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) rancangan Zigmond dan Snaith untuk melihat perubahan tingkat depresi yang dialami. Adapun tritmen terapi zikir yang digunakan mengacu pada Modul Terapi Zikir Istigfar yang dirancang oleh Ruidahasi, Kartikasari, dan Nashori. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Anova Mixed Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terapi zikir istigfar efektif dalam menurunkan depresi pada perempuan pasien kanker payudara dengan sumbangan efektif sebesar 88%. Kata kunci: Depresi, kanker payudara, terapi zikir istigfar. ABSTRACT: The incidence of breast cancer has significantly increased and remains the leading cause of death among women. Breast cancer and its impact on depressive symptoms in patients warrant serious attention. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of istighfar dhikr therapy in reducing depression among patients. Using a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group and follow-up, the study involved 12 female breast cancer patients. Participants were divided into an experimental group (n=6) and a control group (n=6). Pretests, posttests, and follow-ups were conducted using the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) developed by Zigmond and Snaith to assess changes in depression levels. The therapy was based on the Istighfar Dhikr Therapy Module designed by Ruidahasi, Kartikasari, and Nashori. Data were analyzed using Mixed Design ANOVA. Results indicate that istighfar dhikr therapy effectively reduces depression among female breast cancer patients, contributing to 88% of the variance. Emerging adults often use social media as a platform for exploration, but the usage is associated with various negative impacts, particularly regarding others' judgments, which can lead to social anxiety. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the influence of husnuzan and social comparison on social anxiety among emerging adults social media users. The participants were individuals in emerging adulthood, aged 18-29 years, residing in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Moreover, the Iowa-Netherlands Comparison Orientation Measure, Husn al-Zhan Scale, and Social Anxiety Scales for Social Media Users were used. A multiple regression analysis was carried out to explore the relationship between the three variables. The proposed hypothesis states that husnuzan and social comparison influence social anxiety. The results showed that husnuzan and social comparison significantly impacted social anxiety in emerging adults social media users, hence, optimizing husnuzan and minimizing social comparison behaviors can reduce anxiety.

Studi bibliometrik ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji lanskap intelektual dan tren yang muncul dalam penelitian yang menghubungkan konsep tawakal dengan ketahanan akademis selama periode 2016 hingga 2025. Dengan latar belakang meningkatnya tekanan akademis dalam pendidikan khususnya setelah pandemi COVID-19, studi ini menggunakan metode bibliometrik menggunakan VOSviewer dan Biblioshiny untuk menganalisis 24 artikel ilmiah yang terindeks di Google Scholar yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Temuan tersebut mengungkapkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam perhatian akademis terhadap integrasi spiritualitas Islam, khususnya konsep tawakal, dalam konteks penguatan ketahanan akademis. Jaringan ko-kemunculan kata kunci dan peta tematik mengidentifikasi tawakal, ketahanan, ketahanan akademis, dan dukungan sosial sebagai tema utama, sementara topik seperti psikologi Islam, pembelajaran daring, dan religiusitas muncul sebagai area penyelidikan yang berkembang. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa tawakal berfungsi tidak hanya sebagai keyakinan spiritual tetapi juga sebagai strategi koping adaptif dalam menanggapi stres akademis. Integrasi nilai-nilai keagamaan dan spiritual seperti keimanan, kesabaran, dan kasih sayang terhadap diri sendiri—memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk kerangka kerja yang komprehensif untuk ketahanan akademis. Studi ini menawarkan kontribusi konseptual terhadap pengembangan kerangka kerja teoritis dan arah penelitian masa depan yang menekankan peran nilai-nilai spiritual dalam menumbuhkan ketahanan individu dalam bidang akademis.

Dalam penelitian ini, pop-up buku berbasis nilai Islam digunakan sebagai alat kreatif untuk menumbuhkan kecerdasan emosional pada anak-anak usia dini. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tantangan era digital yang berpotensi mengurangi interaksi tatap muka dan pengalaman sensorik anak. Oleh karena itu, ada kebutuhan akan media pembelajaran baru yang dapat mendorong perkembangan emosional anak sekaligus menanamkan nilai-nilai Islam. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari berbagai literatur dan temuan penelitian sebelumnya tentang seberapa efektif buku pop-up berbasis nilai Islam dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan emosional anak usia dini. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metodologi studi pustaka. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa buku pop-up berbasis nilai Islam menyampaikan nilai-nilai Islam melalui sentuhan visual, taktil, dan auditori. Beberapa penelitian empiris menunjukkan bahwa buku pop-up berbasis nilai Islam membantu meningkatkan elemen kecerdasan emosional seperti pengenalan emosi, regulasi emosi, empati, dan keterampilan sosial. Implementasi yang efektif memerlukan strategi pembelajaran yang luas dan kemampuan guru untuk membantu. Pop-up book berbasis nilai Islam menawarkan cara baru untuk mengajar anak usia dini yang menggabungkan aspek kognitif, afektif, dan spiritual.

Women with breast cancer face physical and psychological impacts, including anxiety characterized by fear of not being able to do activities, lack of self-confidence, fear of being in crowds, and fear of death. To reduce this anxiety, the study used istigfar dhikr therapy as an intervention. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of istigfar dhikr therapy in reducing anxiety in women with breast cancer. The study was conducted with a quantitative quasi-experimental approach, using a control groups pretest-posttest with follow-up design. A total of 12 participants were divided into control groups (n=6) and experiments (n=6), selected by purposive sampling. Measurements were taken using the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), while therapy referred to the Ruidahasi et al. module. Analysis using Anova Mixed Design showed significant results (Sig. 0.000, p<0.05), with an effective contribution of 91.4%, proving that this therapy is effective in reducing anxiety.

Some college students are described as experiencing schadenfreude toward their peers. Schadenfreude is caused by personality and demographic factors. This study aims to examine the influence of agreeableness, extraversion, and demographic factors on schadenfreude among Indonesian university students. Data were collected through self-report questionnaires using the Schadenfreude Scale (SS) and the Big Five Personality Inventory (BFI), administered to 207 university students in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Multiple regression analysis was employed to analyze the data. The results indicated that agreeableness, age, duration of study, and gender significantly influenced students' experiences of schadenfreude, while extraversion did not have a significant effect. Additionally, the findings revealed that male students tended to have higher schadenfreude scores compared to female students. Older students also reported lower levels of schadenfreude than their younger counterparts. The higher the duration of study, the more schadenfreude will also increase. These findings provide vital insights for the field of social psychology in an educational context, particularly in developing educational and psychological strategies to understand and manage the dynamics of negative emotions among students, thereby fostering more empathetic and emotionally intelligent learning environments.

Disappointment is one of the most prevalent negative emotions experienced by adolescents and can disrupt psychological well-being if not properly managed. This study aims to develop an integrative Islamic model of emotion regulation based on the Qur’anic concepts of tafakkur (cognitive reappraisal) and tadzakkur (spiritual meaning-making). Employing a qualitative approach, this research employed a literature study method and a thematic analysis of Qur’anic verses containing the expressions "la’allakum tatafakkarun" and "la’allakum tadzakkarun." Data were examined through classical-to-modern interpretations and connected with contemporary psychological theories, including Gross’s emotion regulation framework, Pargament’s religious coping, and Park’s meaning-making model. The findings demonstrated that tafakkur functions as a rational-reflective process that allows individuals to reinterpret disappointment, while tadzakkur strengthens emotional recovery by reconstructing meaning through divine awareness and remembrance. Both serve as complementary mechanisms for cognitive and spiritual regulation, promoting emotional resilience and holistic well-being in Muslim adolescents. This study provides a conceptual contribution to Islamic Psychology by bridging Qur’anic epistemology and modern psychological theory. It also suggests that the integration of tafakkur and tadzakkur can be applied in character education and spiritually-based counseling interventions to help adolescents manage emotional distress constructively.

This literature review aims to examine the contribution of social and emotional values ??contained in Surah Al-Ma'un and their contribution to the psychological well-being of Muslim students. This study examines various relevant literature to identify key themes related to social values ??such as caring for others, sharing, and social justice, as well as emotional values ??such as empathy, patience, and self-control. Through a literature review, this article examines various studies relevant to the topic. The method used is Library Research through various scientific journal databases on Google Scholar, tafsir books, and other scientific literature sources with clear inclusion and exclusion criteria to ensure the relevance and quality of the selected literature. The results of the review indicate a positive relationship between the understanding and practice of the social-emotional values ??of Surah Al-Ma'un (such as caring, sharing, and self-control) with the improvement of students' psychological well-being. These findings suggest that the values ??of Surah Al-Ma'un can be an important foundation in building students' emotional intelligence and psychological well-being. The conclusion of this study is that integrating the values ??of Surah Al-Ma'un into students' daily lives, particularly in educational and social contexts, has the potential to improve their quality of life and psychological well-being.
