Abstract

The Independent Learning Campus Independent Program (MBKM) is a government initiative to improve the quality of higher education through off-campus learning activities, one of which is the Teaching Assistance program. This study aims to describe the role of the Teaching Assistance program in improving the teaching competence of students of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD). The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection methods through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study showed that the Teaching Assistance program significantly supported the improvement of four dimensions of student teaching competence, namely pedagogical, professional, personality, and social competence. Students gain direct experience in the world of education, practice teaching skills, prepare learning tools, and build positive communication and interaction with school residents. In addition, students also develop character and personality as prospective professional educators. Thus, the Teaching Assistance program has proven to be an effective strategy in preparing competent PGSD graduates who are ready to face the real world of education work.

Abstract

This article discusses the effect of using mind mapping as a learning model on students’ learning outcomes on environmental material at grade V of SDN Pollung District in the academic year 2020/2021. The research in this article used descriptive analysis techniques. The population involved grade V students at SDN Pollung, which consisted of two schools, SD Negeri 173417 and SD Negeri 173420. The research outcomes indicated that students’ learning outcomes using the mind mapping model were very good with an average category score of 84.72. The research outcomes also indicated that the results of the correlation test came from a correlation number of 0.620. It means that if rcount (0.620) > rtable (0.217), hence Ha is accepted. Thus, there is a big influence between the mind mapping learning model and students’ learning outcomes with the theme of our friend environment at grade V of SDN Pollung. It also could be found from the results of the t-test where tcount 6,984 > ttable 1,664, hence Ha is accepted. It shows that there is a significant positive effect of applying Mind Mapping toward students’ learning outcomes with the theme of our friend environment at grade V of SDN Pollung in the academic year 2021/2022.

Abstract

This article reports students’ learning outcomes applying the role-playing learning model in the theme of the place where I live at class IV of SDN 060934 Medan Johor in the academic year 2021/2022. The research subjects involved the whole fourth-grade students, which consists of 11 male and 11 female students. Data collection techniques used are observation and tests. The results indicate that there is a significant result of students’ learning outcomes on the theme of the Place Where I Live. It is proven from the pretest result that there are four students who completed (18.18%) while 18 students (81.82%) did not complete with an average of 53. In the post-test cycle I there was an increase with 8 students (36.36%) who completed and 14 students who did not complete (63.64%) who did not complete with an average score of 66.3. In the post-test of cycle II, students’ learning outcomes increased to 81.82% from a number of 18 students who completed and 18.18% of four students who did not complete with an average of 84.4. Furthermore, the results of teacher observation in cycle I obtained an average value of 48% and 62% of students’ observations. In Cycle II, the results of teacher observations increased to 82% and 88% of students’ observations. Thus, applying the role-playing learning model can improve students’ learning outcomes on the theme of the place where I live at class IV of SDN 060934 Medan Johor.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the effect of discovery learning model on students’ learning outcomes on the theme of “Daerah Tempat Tinggalku” at grade IV SD Negeri 091363 Huta Tinggir in academic year 2019/2020. The population was all fourth grade students totaling 50 students. Samples were taken by saturated sampling for as many as 50 students who were divided into two groups and each group consisted of 26 and 24 students. The method used in this research was experimental method in order to find out the effect of certain treatments on others conditions. The instrument in this research was "t", in the form of multiple choices. Then, the hypotheses were tested by using t test. Based on the results of statistical calculation, it was revealed that after implementing discovery learning model, the learning outcome of the students in experiment class was included in Good category (the average score = 81.19). Meanwhile, the learning outcome of the students in control class did not improve significantly from the KKM (the average score = 67.1). Moreover, the result of the t-test resulted in the value of t count = 9.790 while t table = 2.055. This means that t count > t table; thus, Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. This research concluded that there was a significant influence of discovery learning models on the students’ learning outcomes at grade IV SD Negeri 091363 Huta Tinggir in the academic year 2019/2020.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Mastery Learning model on student learning outcomes in science at grade V of Harapan Baru Elementary School, Medan, in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research method used was an experimental method with a quantitative approach. To obtain the required data, a test instrument consisting of 30 questions was used. The sample size was 30 students using a purposive sampling technique. To determine students' initial abilities, the researcher conducted a pretest with an average score of 58.3. And the results of the posttest have increased from the pretest given previously with the average value of students reaching 83.86. It can be said that the level of success of student learning outcomes has increased as evidenced by the results of the correlation coefficient test calculation obtained r count ≥ r table with the results of 0.941 ≥ 0.361. Furthermore, hypothesis testing is comparing the value of t count ≥ t table with the results of 14.781 ≥ 2.042. With these results, Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Through the t-test it can be concluded that there is an influence of the contextual learning model on students' critical thinking abilities.

Abstract

This article focuses on a study that was designed to determine the level of students’ learning discipline. The type of study was quantitative research. The subjects of the study involved the fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 066050 Medan Denai. Based on the results, there was an effect of discipline on learning outcomes at the fourth-grade level of SDN 066050 Medan Denai in the academic year of 2020/2021. The research instrument was used to measure learning discipline. The instrument was a questionnaire that consisted of 40 items. Meanwhile, to measure students’ learning outcomes, the researcher used math scores. After measuring the learning discipline, the mean (average) score of the questionnaire was 120.3. It means that the learning discipline for students at SDN 066050 Medan Denai was categorized as high level. To determine the effect level between learning disciplines and learning outcomes, the Pearson correlation formula was used. Based on the count result, rcount was 0.609, which meant that the correlation value was strong or correlated. The significance test was carried out to test the hypothesis by comparing the value of tcount with ttable. The value of tcount was 4.062 while ttable was 2.042. Because tcount 4.062 was higher than ttable 2,042, thus Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. Through the ttest,, it could be concluded that there was a significant relationship between students’ learning discipline and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This article is derived from the implementation of the influence of learning independence on students’ learning outcomes at the third-grade level of SDN 030398 Lae Rambong Silima Pungga-Pungga in Dairi in the academic year 2021/2022. The research method used was survey research with a quantitative method. The population of research involved all students of SDN 030398 Lae Rambong. The technique used by the researchers was random sampling with a number of 30 students at class III elementary school. The data collection tool used by the researchers was a questionnaire on learning independence, which was distributed to 30 students. Whilst, learning outcomes could be seen from the students' scores. To test the hypothesis, it was used t-test hypothesis. The results showed that learning independence (X) had an average value of 78.87 and learning outcomes (Y) had an average value of 70. The results of the correlation coefficient of the research were rxy = 0.738 with the results of t-test hypothesis testing tcount 5,782 > ttable 2,048 with a significant level α = 0.05. H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, which meant that there was a significant influence between learning independence and the learning outcomes of third-grade students at Elementary School 030398 Lae Rambong.
