Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study is to determine the efforts to improve the cognitive abilities of children in Group A through the use of number cards at Uswatun Hasanah Early Childhood Education Center in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research method used is classroom action research with a research design from Kemmis and Mc. TaggartThe research results indicate that children's cognitive abilities, particularly their ability to recognize numbers, in Group B at Uswatun Hasanah Early Childhood Education Center can be improved through the use of number card media. In the pre-cycle, the classical completion rate (KK) achieved was only 27.7% or approximately 3 children out of 11, indicating that children's cognitive abilities, particularly their ability to recognize numbers, were still low. Subsequently, interventions were implemented in Cycle 1, resulting in an increase to 6 children or approximately 54.5%. However, this achievement still did not meet the success indicators expected by the researcher. Therefore, Cycle II was conducted, and it was found that there was an improvement in children's cognitive abilities, particularly their ability to recognize numbers, with approximately 9 children or around 81.8% achieving mastery. The study was terminated at Cycle II as it had already achieved the success indicators expected by the researcher. It can be concluded that using number card media can enhance children's cognitive abilities, particularly their ability to recognize numbers in early childhood. Abstract

The implementation of curriculum is a systemic process including many stakeholders. The effectiveness of a curriculum can be evaluated after it is implemented in the classroom where the teachers and the students are actively involved. The teachers, therefore, should show competency and responsibility in implementing curriculum. The current articles discusses several issues related to the implementation of curriculum in Arabic Department, namely, (1)definition of implementation, (2) definition of curriculum, (3) implementation of curriculum, (4)stages in implementing curriculum at Arabic Department.

Abstract

The scarcity of LPG gas that often occurs in urban areas has become a serious challenge for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This condition causes an increase in operational costs and creates uncertainty in energy supply, thus directly impacting business continuity. This community service aims to}overcome these problems by introducing artificial natural gas technology as a sustainable alternative solution. The main problem raised is the high dependence of MSMEs on LPG gas, while its availability is increasingly limited amid increasing demand. The methods used in this community service activity include observation of the energy needs of MSME actors, application of biogas technology to produce artificial natural gas, and technical training on how to operate and maintain the system. Activities are carried out through a participatory approach to ensure understanding and active involvement of the target community. The results of the community service show that the use of artificial natural gas can significantly reduce dependence on LPG, reduce energy costs, and increase the sustainability and operational efficiency of MSMEs. The conclusion of this service is that the application of artificial natural gas technology not only helps overcome the scarcity of LPG, but also makes a real contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially goals 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and 13 (Addressing Climate Change).

Abstract

Non-communicable disease (NCD) is a chronic health condition caused by various factors, such as age, physical activity, obesity, and economic status, which can increase the risk of unhealthy living conditions. This study aimed to identify factors associated with the occurrence of central obesity in patients with NCDs using a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional study design calculated using the Slovin formula, involving 207 people who filled out the questionnaire instrument. Sample collection using stratified sampling with inclusion criteria for patients with NCD at five community health centers in Gorontalo City from June to October 2024. After normality testing, the independent sample t-test and Mann-Whitney U test were used to analyze the data. The research results showed the characteristics of the respondents with diabetes mellitus (52,7%) and hypertension (25,2%). The overall incidence of central obesity was 75,8%. Bivariate analysis indicated a relationship between physical activity (p=0,008), sex (p=0,000), smoking habits (p=0,000), long illness of NCDs (p=0,049), and the incidence of central obesity, while there was no association between family history of NCDs (p=0,935), income (p=0,941), and central obesity. The factors related to the incidence of central obesity in NCDs patients are physical activity, sex, smoking habits, and prolonged illness.

Abstract

Pia is a traditional delicacy from Gorontalo that has been innovatively developed through the addition of red dragon fruit peel as a natural coloring agent and antioxidant source. This innovation aims to enhance the nutritional value and visual appeal of the product while utilizing dragon fruit peel waste, which is rich in anthocyanins. Objective of study was analyzed the organoleptic qualities (taste, color, aroma, and texture) and chemical composition of pia blackpink supplemented with 50 g, 60 g, 70 g, and 80 g of red dragon fruit peel. The methods of study was an experimental study employed a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatment levels and four replications. A total of 30 semi-trained panelists participated in the organoleptic evaluation. Proximate analysis was conducted to determine the content of protein, fat, carbohydrates, fiber, moisture, ash, and vitamin C. Results revealed that addition of red dragon fruit peel significantly improved organoleptic qualities, with the best results observed in the 80g treatment group (P4). The chemical composition of this variant included protein (8.12%), fat (5.20%), carbohydrates (72.58%), fiber (0.91%), moisture (13.24%), ash (0.86%), and vitamin C (225 mg/1000 g). The conclusion of the study was addition of red dragon fruit peel enhances both the sensory attributes and nutritional quality of pia, making it more appealing and beneficial to consumers. Pia adalah makanan khas Gorontalo yang dikembangkan dengan inovasi penambahan kulit buah naga merah sebagai pewarna alami sekaligus sumber antioksidan. Inovasi ini bertujuan meningkatkan nilai gizi dan daya tarik produk, sekaligus memanfaatkan limbah kulit buah naga yang kaya antosianin. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis mutu organoleptik (rasa, warna, aroma, dan tekstur) serta kandungan kimia pia blackpink yang diberi tambahan kulit buah naga merah sebanyak 50 g, 60 g, 70 g, dan 80 g. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen, menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan dan empat replikasi, serta melibatkan 30 panelis agak terlatih dalam uji organoleptik. Uji kimia menggunakan analisis proksimat untuk mengetahui kadar protein, lemak, karbohidrat, serat, air, abu dan vitamin C. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan kulit buah naga merah secara signifikan meningkatkan mutu organoleptik, dengan hasil terbaik pada penambahan 80 g (P4). Komposisi kimia pia tersebut meliputi protein 8,12%, lemak 5,20%, karbohidrat 72,58%, serat 0,91%, air 13,24%, abu 0,86%, dan vitamin C 225 mg/1000 g. Kesimpulan menunjukkan penambahan kulit buah naga tidak hanya meningkatkan rasa dan penampilan pia, tetapi juga menjadikannya lebih bergizi dan menarik bagi konsumen.

Abstract

إن الكلام هو أداة رئيسية ليبني التفاهم بوسيلة اللغة. ومهارة الكلام هي إحدى المهارات اللغوية التى يدرسها الطلاب في تعلم اللغة العربية. رغم أنها مهارة مهمة إلا أنها صارت احدى المشكلات التي يواجهها الطلاب أثناء تعلم اللغة العربية. كثير من الطلاب  الذين يجدون صعوبة في إتقان تلك المهارة. والمشكلات  يمكن  أن تكون من العاملين: الأول، العامل الداخلي مثل المواهب والحماسة أو غيرهما. والثاني، العامل الخارجي، فهو حالة البيئة، والكتب، والمدرس والطرق المستخدمة. وتلك المشكلات ظهرت في المدرسة الثانويّة الإسلامية الحكومية الثانية تولونج أجونج للصف العاشر للعام الدراسي ۲۰۱۷–۲۰۱۸. غير أن تلك المدرسة قد علمت مهارة الكلام تعليما طويلا إلا أنها لاتزال تواجه المشكلات في تعليمها. و من هذه المشكلة اراد الباحث أن يوصف مشكلات تدريس مهارة الكلام فيها. استخدم الباحث المنهج الكيفي بطريقة وصفية. ووجد الباحث أن المشكلات في هذا التعليم فهي: (أ) مشكلات المدرس، (1) التوجه إلى الكفاءة الأساسية وفقا بمعيار المنهج الدراسي، (2) صعوبة بحث مادة الناطقين، (3) المدرس لم يستطيع أن يتكلم اللغة العربية ك لهجة العربي، (4) ضيق الوقت و الشعر بالتعب في عملية تعليم مهارة الكلام. (ب) والمشكلات التي وجدها الطلاب، (1) تنوع الطلاب مع قدراتهم وخلفيات متنوعة، (2) لم يتقن الطلاب على المفردات، (3) هناك خطأ في نطق الطالب، (4) طلاب كسول لتعليم اللغة العربية. ويشعر الطلاب بالخوف في الكلام، (5) لا توجد بيئة اللغة في المدرسة، (6) مشاكل خارجية في التعلُّمِ اللغة العربية.
