Abstract

Islamic Education involves a deliberate and structured approach that aims to equip students with the ability to recognize, understand, appreciate, believe, commit, and embody noble behaviors in accordance with the Qur'an and Hadith. Children are a gift from Allah Swt. and their essence is priceless to those who educate them. When positive values are nurtured since young age, they will develop into good individuals and find happiness both in this world and the hereafter. This research seeks to explore aspects of morals and manners education for children aged 7 to 12 years. This research was conducted by looking at the practice of morals and manners education from various previous research literature, as well as in the context of the TPQ Masjid An Nahl Ciangsana Bogor. Using a qualitative research approach that emphasizes descriptive analysis, this study collected data through literature review and field research, including interviews. The findings show that moral education is very important especially for children of tamyiz or before baligh age. By implementing four manners, namely the manners of studying, the manners of worship in the mosque, the manners of eating and drinking and the manners of making friends, it is hoped that the students will become pious and have good morals.Pendidikan Agama Islam adalah upaya sadar dan terencana dalam menyiapkan peserta didik untuk mengenal, memahami, menghayati, mengimani, bertaqwa, dan berakhlak mulia dalam mengamalkan ajaran agama Islam melalui kegiatan bimbingan, pengajaran, latihan, serta penggunaan pengalaman. Anak adalah anugerah dari Allah Swt. yang tak ternilai harganya bagi mereka yang mendidiknya. Ketika nilai-nilai positif dipupuk dalam diri mereka sejak dini, mereka akan tumbuh menjadi individu yang baik dan menemukan kebahagiaan baik di dunia maupun di akhirat. Penelitian ini berusaha menggali aspek-aspek pendidikan moral dan budi pekerti bagi anak usia 7 hingga 12 tahun. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melihat praktik pendidikan akhlak dan adab dari berbagai literatur penelitian terdahulu, serta dalam konteks TPQ Masjid An Nahl Ciangsana Bogor. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif yang menekankan pada analisis deskriptif, penelitian ini mengumpulkan data melalui studi literatur dan penelitian lapangan, termasuk wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan akhlak sangat penting terutama bagi anak usia tamyiz atau pra baligh. Dengan menerapkan empat adab yaitu adab belajar, adab beribadah di masjid, adab makan dan minum serta adab berteman, diharapkan para santri menjadi anak yang shaleh dan berakhlakul karimah.

Abstract

The West separates science and religion with the concept of dichotomy, which creates a worrying impact. The goal of Islamic education is to produce qualified and pious humans. This article describes learning integrated with Islamic worldview in the Merdeka Belajar PAUD curriculum, which is a curriculum that has been in effect since 2022. The method used is library research, carried out by collecting and examining data from books or writings that are in accordance with the discussion into primary sources and secondary sources. The results of the study argue that in order to achieve the main goal of Islamic education which is to produce qualified and pious humans, the Learning Outcomes of the Foundation Phase must be integrated with the Islamic worldview, namely by compiling a curriculum that directs students to develop and strengthen the Islamic worldview from an early age

Abstract

This research is driven by the quality of education phenomenon, which continues to move and change, and its specifications and qualifications will continue to increase with the times. This study aims to determine the implementation of strategic management in improving the quality of education. This research was conducted at SMA Islam PB Soedirman Bekasi City. The approach taken is qualitative. The method used is the interview, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the strategic management at SMA Islam PB Soedirman Bekasi City had been implemented and was oriented towards improving the quality of education. The conclusions of this research are (1) the strategic management of SMA Islam PB Soedirman Bekasi City begins with formulating a vision and mission that involves internal parties by involving all elements in the school; (2) SMA Islam PB Soedirman Bekasi City has good quality education services, and this is stated in the concept of child-friendly education; (3) SMA Islam PB Soedirman Bekasi City has a good quality educational environment and reflects an Islamic school; (4) SMA Islam PB Soedirman Bekasi City implements the 2013 curriculum by integrating Pendidikan Agama Islam/PAI (Islamic) subjects into each of its subjects; (5) SMA Islam PB Soedirman Bekasi City enroots principles in teachers to become individuals who have the potential to find solutions to every problem. Abstract

Supervision of School-Community Relations is important in supporting the education process. Quality education must have good and measurable supervision management. Supervision as a controlling process in carrying out educational activities in schools must guarantee the quality of the output produced by these educational institutions. The role of the community in supervising educational institutions is very important and even necessary in determining the future direction of education policy. Realizing quality education, able to answer future challenges and various problems that exist in society. This article explains how the supervision of school relationship management with the community at MTs Ummul Quro Al-Islami Leuwiliang, Bogor.

Abstract

Bait al-Hikmah, yang didirikan pada masa pemerintahan Harun al-Rasyid, merupakan pusat intelektual yang memainkan peran penting dalam perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan peradaban Islam. Lembaga ini tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai tempat penerjemahan karya-karya ilmiah dari peradaban lain, tetapi juga sebagai pusat penelitian dan inovasi dalam berbagai bidang, seperti matematika, kedokteran, astronomi, dan filsafat. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis bagaimana Bait al-Hikmah mendorong perkembangan sains, teknologi, dan filosofi, serta perannya dalam pembentukan lembaga pendidikan Islam yang mengedepankan sinergi antara agama dan ilmu pengetahuan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan historis, di mana data diperoleh melalui kajian literatur dari berbagai sumber terkait sejarah Bait al-Hikmah dan dampaknya terhadap pendidikan Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Bait al-Hikmah memiliki peran yang sangat besar dalam mengembangkan berbagai bidang ilmu pengetahuan dan menciptakan model pendidikan yang mengintegrasikan ilmu agama dan sains. Warisan intelektual yang ditinggalkan oleh Bait al-Hikmah masih memberikan pengaruh yang kuat dalam pendidikan Islam hingga saat ini.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate an Islamic Worldview education program for dormitory-based high school students in order to form a comprehensive and solid Islamic understanding in the midst of the challenges of the times. A qualitative approach is used with data collection techniques through literature studies, field observations, in-depth interviews, and forum group discussions (FGDs). The concept of Islamic Worldview developed by Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas in the work “Prolegomena to the Metaphysics of Islam” became the main foundation in the formulation of this program. Field studies at Pesantren At-Taqwa Depok were used to strengthen the validity of the formulated concept. The results showed that the internalization of Islamic Worldview in education is very important in fortifying students from the influence of liberal ideology and moral deviation. The proposed program includes activities such as book sharing, book studies, Islamic discussions, and insight enhancement forums designed to foster students' critical and spiritual awareness. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the need for integration of Islamic values in adolescent education as a strategy to face global challenges. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan program pendidikan Islamic Worldview bagi murid sekolah menengah atas berbasis asrama dalam rangka membentuk pemahaman keislaman yang komprehensif dan kokoh di tengah tantangan zaman. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi pustaka, observasi lapangan, wawancara mendalam, dan Forum Group Discussion (FGD). Konsep Islamic Worldview yang dikembangkan oleh Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas dalam karya "Prolegomena to the Metaphysics of Islam" menjadi landasan utama dalam perumusan program ini. Studi lapangan di Pesantren At-Taqwa Depok digunakan untuk memperkuat validitas konsep yang dirumuskan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa internalisasi Islamic Worldview dalam pendidikan sangat penting dalam membentengi siswa dari pengaruh ideologi liberal dan penyimpangan moral. Program yang diusulkan meliputi kegiatan seperti book sharing, pengkajian kitab, diskusi keislaman, serta forum peningkatan wawasan yang dirancang untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran kritis dan spiritual siswa. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan perlunya integrasi nilai-nilai Islam dalam pendidikan remaja sebagai strategi menghadapi tantangan global.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the history of Islamic civilization in the perspective of Ibn Kathir. Using the literature study method, the researcher found that Ibn Kathir is a superior scholar who earned the title of Al-Hāfidzh, Al-Muhaddits, Al-Fāqih, Al-Mu'arrikh and Al-Mufassir with amazing works. Through his historical works, Ibn Kathir indirectly established a methodology for reconstructing historical events starting from collecting sources of history, criticizing sources with hadith science, interpretation and writing represented by nuqil. As for when Ibn Kathir compiled the book Al-Bidāyah wa an-Nihāyah, he compiled it with a distinctive periodization so as to avoid us from the view that the time of the Prophet ﷺ was a classic or ancient period. The glory of Islamic civilization that was built from the time of the Prophet ﷺ can be repeated by retracing the steps as exemplified by the Prophet and the Sahabat. Because the steps of the Prophet ﷺ in building civilization are steps guided by revelation, this book of revelation is a valuable legacy for the reconstruction of Islamic civilization in the future. The civilization that materializes is not a patchwork civilization but a distinctive civilization that is able to create an Islamic society.

Abstract

The background of this study is the moral degradation of adolescents, especially due to promiscuity. This could lead Indonesia to a state of “promiscuity emergency.” This is due to the absence of a social system that regulates socializing or interaction between men and women, whether in the family, school, or community. Especially in schools, systems or rules that regulate interaction between men and women are only implemented in a small number of Islamic schools. The purpose of this research is to analyze the strategy of implementing the concept of sex-based separation according to Ibn Sahnun at the secondary education level. This research is categorized as library research with data obtained from books related to Ibn Sahnun's thoughts, particularly Adaab al Mu'allimin. The method used in this research is descriptive research based on its purpose, qualitative research based on its process, and basic research based on the expected research results. Through this research, four things related to the concept of gender-based separation according to Ibn Sahnun were found. First, Islam as a perfect religion has provided a system of life that is able to protect the intellect and honor of men and women. Second, history shows that throughout the ages, caliphs from any dynasty, especially those ruling in Africa, have applied the concept of gender-based segregation in their educational systems. Third, modern research, whether conducted by Islamic or non-Islamic schools, indicates that the application of the concept of gender segregation can enhance the quality of learning. Fourth, strategies for implementing the concept of gender-based segregation must be carried out systematically and integrally.

Abstract

Supervision based on an Islamic worldview is believed to be capable of improving the quality of content standards in Islamic educational institutions, such as Qur'anic junior high schools. This study was motivated by the crisis faced by Muslims due to internal and external challenges, including the trends of globalisation and secularisation in education, which have shifted society's views away from Islamic values towards a secular worldview. This study aims to analyse the application of Islamic worldview-based supervision in improving content quality standards at Qur'an junior high schools. A qualitative approach was used with a case study method to gain an in-depth understanding of the context and implementation in the field. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that Qur'an junior high schools have made efforts to integrate the general and religious curricula and implement the national curriculum, but there are still weaknesses, including the lack of implementation of the concepts of fardhu 'ain and fardhu kifayah, the suboptimal Islamisation of the national curriculum, and the failure to make the Qur'an the core of the curriculum. The conclusion of this study emphasises the importance of supervision based on an Islamic worldview to strengthen the integration of Islamic values, foster students' faith and noble character, and serve as the basis for curriculum development in Islamic educational institutions. Abstrak Supervisi berbasis Islamic worldview diyakini mampu meningkatkan mutu standar isi pada lembaga pendidikan Islam, seperti SMP Al-Qur’an. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh krisis yang dihadapi umat Islam akibat tantangan internal dan eksternal, termasuk arus globalisasi dan sekularisasi pendidikan yang menggeser pandangan masyarakat dari nilai-nilai Islam menuju pandangan dunia sekuler. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan supervisi berbasis Islamic worldview dalam peningkatan mutu standar isi di SMP Al-Qur’an. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus untuk memperoleh pemahaman mendalam terhadap konteks dan implementasi di lapangan. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SMP Al-Qur’an telah berupaya mengintegrasikan kurikulum umum dan agama serta menerapkan kurikulum nasional, namun masih terdapat kelemahan, antara lain belum terimplementasinya konsep fardhu ‘ain dan fardhu kifayah, belum optimalnya Islamisasi kurikulum nasional, serta belum menjadikan Al-Qur’an sebagai inti kurikulum. Simpulan penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya supervisi yang berlandaskan Islamic worldview untuk memperkuat integrasi nilai keislaman, menumbuhkan iman dan akhlak mulia siswa, serta menjadi dasar pengembangan kurikulum di lembaga pendidikan Islam.
