Abstract

The quality of teacher services is an important element related to achieving national education goals and developing Indonesian people as a whole. The initial survey of teacher service quality in the Civil Servants in the High School in the city of Bogor has not yet reached maximum results. Therefore, the quality of teacher services is interesting to study. This study aims to find efforts to improve teacher service quality by examining the relationship between teacher service quality with teacher personality variables and organizational justice. The data needed in this study were captured using an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. Before the questionnaire is used as a data collection tool, it must be first analyzed its validity and reliability. This analysis was carried out by testing the instrument to respondents, who had been determined. This trial is intended to determine the feasibility of this instrument as a research instrument. The study also uses correlational statistical methods and analysis of the SITOREM method. The unit of research analysis was a high school civil servant teacher with a population of 279 and a sample of 103 teachers. The results of the study show there is a positive relationship between the teacher's personality and the quality of teacher services with the strength of the relationship ry1 = 0.421 and there is a positive relationship between organizational justice and the quality of the teacher's service with the strength of the ry2 = 0.297 so that the quality of teacher service can be improved through the personality of the teacher and organizational justice. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between the teacher's personality and the service quality approach as well as the organizational justice variable with the quality of teacher service both individually and collectively. SITOREM analysis results showed that there should be priority improvements to indicators that are not optimal such as (1) stable emotions (2) open to experience (3) procedural fairness (4) responsiveness (5) attention.

Abstract

Pembelajaran dengan menggunakan e-learning semakin sering digunakan pengajar dan sekolah seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi. Diyakini oleh banyak kalangan pendidik bahwa e-learning dapat membantu proses pemerataan pendidikan, membantu pengajar dalam mengajar, dan juga dapat melatih peserta didik mandiri dalam belajar. Akan tetapi dalam proses pelaksanaannya seringkali pengajar mendapatkan kenyataan bahwa hasil belajar peserta didik kurang sesuai dengan harapan, hal tersebut dialami oleh peneliti dimana hasil belajar Matematika di program studi Manajemen STIE Ekuitas masih kurang memuaskan. Berlatar belakang hal tersebut maka penelitian ini dilakukan, adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji hipotesis bahwa pengetahuan awal penguasaan internet melalui nilai mata kuliah Aplikasi Komputer (Aplikom) berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar Matematika. Sampel penelitian menggunakan 40 mahasiswa yang telah lulus mata kuliah Aplikom dan Matematika, pengujian dilakukan dengan menggunakan regresi linier sehingga dapat diketahui besar hubungan dan pengaruh dari pengetahuan awal penguasaan internet melalui nilai mata kuliah Aplikom terhadap hasil belajar Matematika. Berdasarkan pengujian diperoleh hasil bahwa pengetahuan awal penguasaan internet mempunyai hubungan yang lemah dan tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara variabel nilai Aplikom dengan variabel nilai Matematika (Y). Abstract

Teacher's commitment is the key to improve education. The purpose of this research is to investigate the efforts to increase teacher commitment through quality culture in schools. Based on 110 samples involved this research, it is found that the improvement of teacher commitment can be achieved by optimizing the quality culture in schools. The optimization of the quality culture in schools can be achieved through several ways: the fulfillment of infrastructure; internal and external customer satisfaction; development of teacher professionalism; team work; collaboration with other parties (parents, school board, and society); school evaluation and determination of reward and punishment.Keywords: teacher's commitment, quality culture, education.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) identify the forms and types of illocutionary and perlocutionary effects that reflect consumptive behavior towards the main character in the speech in the film Confession of a Shopaholic, (2) analyze the meaning of speech acts contained in the speech of the main character of the film and social issues, namely consumptive behavior, (3) Identify issues of consumptive behavior contained in the corpus and relate to consumptive culture in America in the middle class. The method used in the study is qualitative. The data is taken from the main character’s utterances, reflecting consumptive behavior collected using the listening method and the note method. The results showed illocutionary speech acts with representative, commissive, expressive, and directive types. Perlocutionary speech acts with verbal and non-verbal types. The words of the main character words the issue of consumptive behavior such as owning branded goods, and buying goods whose benefits are not clear only attract the attention of others, and become trendsetters.Keywords: illocutionary speech acts; perlocutionary speech acts; consumptive behaviour.

Abstract

Research on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) has been carried out by many researchers but not many have conducted research on higher education students. This study develops the concept of student OCB in terms of Self-efficacy and Interpersonal Communication aspects. The data were taken from 104 students in STT Star’Lub at Luwuk Banggai. The data processing method uses regression analysis and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results showed that the student Self-efficacy with the dimensions of self-motivation to perform tasks and the Interpersonal Communication of students with the dimension of showing empathy were the most influential things in increasing student OCB. Therefore, it could be concluded that in developing student OCB, Self-efficacy and Interpersonal Communication should be taken into consideration

Abstract

This study aims to build a model of teacher service quality based on a growth mindset to improve teaching and learning activities in the new normal era. Using a quantitative research design by disseminating teacher service quality and growth mindset instruments. The collected data were processed using descriptive and inferential data analysis techniques. The results of this study show that simple regression shows the influence of the growth mindset in modeling teacher service quality. This research indicator shows the strengthening of teacher service quality because it is supported by a growth mindset indicator with 5 criteria, as follows: 1) Assurance, namely a safe and secure condition that arises due to motivational support and challenges. 2) Reliability, namely achievement supported by motivation, perseverance, and courage to face difficulties. 3) Responsiveness, namely the ability to help is strengthened because of good motivation and mindset. 4) Tangibility, namely the need for physical evidence supported by the difficulties that will be faced because of the ability to respond to the situation at hand. 5) Empathy, namely attention, and concern, a positive mindset, trust, and openness will emerge.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membahas 1) perencanaan, 2) pengorganisasian, 3) pelaksanaan, 4) pengendalian terpadu dalam rangka peningkatan mutu pendidikan di SD Sekolah Alam Bogor. Informan yang menjadi narasumber meliputi kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, guru, dan pengawas sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian lapangan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif Wawancara, observasi, rekam dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data. Pengecekan keabsahan data dilakukan melalui teknik member checking, triangulasi dan auditing. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan cara mendeskripsikan, menganalisis dan mengidentifikasi isu-isu manajemen umum untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan sekolah. Uraian dan analisis tersebut didasarkan pada temuan, kejadian, proses dan hasil penerapan manajemen umum untuk peningkatan mutu pendidikan di SD Sekolah Alam Bogor. Hasil penelitian manajemeb terpadu meliputi dari segi perencanaan dalam kategori sangat baik. Dari segi pengorganisasian, dalam kategori baik. Dari segi pelaksanaan dalam kategori sangat baik. Dan dari segi pengendalian dalam kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa manajemen terpadu untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di SD Sekolah Alam Bogor dapat dikatakan telah menerapkan unsur-unsur manajemen terpadu yang meliputi: 1) perencanaan, 2) pengorganisasian 3) pelaksanaan, 4) pengendalian.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to show Teachers Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) that can be improved by examining variables such as Transformational Leadership and Interpersonal Communication. This study uses a survey method with a correlational approach. The number of samples used was 104 people by using proportional random sampling technique. Based on the results of the study it is concluded that: (1) there is a very significant positive relationship between the Principal Transformational Leadership and Organizational Citizenship Behavior of teachers with a simple linear regression equation Ŷ = 99.53 + 0.32 X1 and the correlation coefficient value ry.1 = 0.417. The coefficient of determination r2y.1 = 0.174 means that the Transformational Leadership (X1) contributes to the teacher's Organizational Citizenship Behavior by 17.40%, (2) there is a very significant positive relationship between Interpersonal Communication with Organizational Citizenship Behavior teachers with simple linear regression equations Ŷ = 100.44 + 0.29 X2 and the correlation coefficient ry.2 = 0.349, and the coefficient of determination r2y.2 = 0.116 which means that the contribution of Interpersonal Communication (X2) to the Organizational Citizenship Behavior of the teacher is 19.60%,  (3) there is a very significant positive relationship between Transformational Leadership and Interpersonal Communication together with the Organizational Citizenship Behavior of teachers with the multiple linear regression equation Ŷ = 77.25 +0.27 X1 +0.21 X2 and the correlation coefficient value ry.12 = 0.152. The coefficient of determination r2y.12 = 0.390 means that the Principal Transformational Leadership (X1) and Interpersonal Communication (X2) together contribute to the Organizational Citizenship Behavior of teachers (Y) by 15.20%.

Abstract

This paper reveals research findings about the effect of E-learning experiences on student learning outcomes felt for Mathematics Economics courses. This study examines perceived learning outcomes in terms of effectiveness, number and productivity of learning in the context of E-learning. The participants were undergraduate students at the School of Economis EKUITAS. The results are interpreted using quantitative and verification research approaches. The results show that the E-learning experience of students is significantly correlated with learning process, and have indirect effect on perceived learning outcomes. This study uses a learning model developed by Biggs and Moore. Specific recommendations for practitioners are also given, and their implications for educators are discussed. Finally, suggestions for further research on E-learning are provided.

Abstract

This study examines the improvement of teacher creativity which is driven by the visionary leadership strength of the principal and teacher job satisfaction. The survey method with the correlational approach was used in this study to describe the strong relationship between teacher creativity as the dependent variable with the visionary leadership of the principal and teacher satisfaction as an independent variable. The population in this study were all permanent teachers of foundation  Private Vocational High Schools in Parungkuda Sukabumi District. Samples were taken using a proportional random sampling technique totaling 96 teachers. The data analysis technique of the research results consisted of the first, statistical description and the second by using inferential statistics to test the hypothesis. The results showed that: (1) there was a very significant positive relationship between Principal Visionary Leadership and Teacher Creativity with a simple linear regression equation Ŷ = 89.33 + 0.32 X1 and the correlation coefficient value ry.1 = 0.217. The coefficient of determination r2y.1 = 0.217 means that the Visionary Leadership of the Principal (X1) contributes to the teacher's creativity by 16.50%; (2) there is a very significant positive relationship between Job Satisfaction with teacher creativity with a simple linear regression equation Ŷ = 88.48 + 0.31 X2 and the correlation coefficient ry.2 = 0.319, and the coefficient of determination r2y.2 = 0.122 which means that the contribution of Job Satisfaction (X2) to the creativity of teachers is 20.46%. (3) there is a very significant positive relationship between Principal Visionary Leadership and Job Satisfaction together with teacher creativity with multiple linear regression equations 88 = 77.25 + 0.21 X1 + 0.12 X2 and the value of the correlation coefficient ry. 12 = 0.165. The coefficient of determination r2y.12 = 0.390 means that the Visionary Leadership of the Principal (X1) and Job Satisfaction (X2) jointly contribute to the teacher's Creativity (Y) of 21.70%.
