Abstract

Empat Pilar Kebangsaan yang terdiri dari Pancasila, Undang-Undang Dasar Negara Republik Indonesia Tahun 1945 (UUD 1945), Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia (NKRI), dan Bhinneka Tunggal Ika merupakan fondasi utama kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara. Di tengah tantangan globalisasi, perkembangan teknologi, serta maraknya isu disintegrasi bangsa, penguatan nilai-nilai kebangsaan menjadi sangat penting, khususnya bagi masyarakat di tingkat akar rumput. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran masyarakat Kecamatan Panjang, Kota Bandar Lampung, terhadap pentingnya empat pilar kebangsaan dalam menjaga persatuan dan kesatuan bangsa. Metode yang digunakan meliputi ceramah interaktif, diskusi kelompok, serta evaluasi pre-test dan post-test. Peserta kegiatan terdiri atas tokoh masyarakat, pemuda, dan aparatur kelurahan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pemahaman peserta terhadap makna dan implementasi nilai-nilai empat pilar kebangsaan. Pre-test menunjukkan bahwa hanya 35% peserta memahami secara utuh isi dan peran empat pilar kebangsaan. Setelah pelaksanaan sosialisasi, hasil post-test menunjukkan peningkatan menjadi 85% peserta yang mampu memahami dan menjelaskan isi serta implementasi empat pilar kebangsaan secara tepat. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa pendekatan edukatif-partisipatif dapat menjadi metode yang efektif dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai kebangsaan serta memperkuat rasa nasionalisme masyarakat. Diharapkan kegiatan serupa dapat terus dilaksanakan secara berkelanjutan di wilayah lain dengan melibatkan berbagai lapisan masyarakat.

Abstract

An inguinal hernia is a condition of protrusion of an intestinal organ into a cavity through a defect or thin or weak part of the wall of the inguinal ring. The material that enters is more often the small intestine, but can also be fatty tissue or omentum. Inguinal hernias account for 75% of all hernias. The comparative incidence of inguinal hernia is 13.9% in men and 2.1% in women. The risk of incidence increases fourfold in patients with a family history of inguinal hernia compared to patients without a family history. The classification of inguinal hernia consists of lateral inguinal hernia, medial inguinal hernia, and pantalone hernia. Planned (elective) herniotomy surgery is the main management after diagnosis to avoid incarceration. This study aims to determine the prevalence and characteristics of Inguinal Hernia in children at RSUP.DR.M.Djamil Padang in 2020-2022. This research method is descriptive observational research. The sample in this study were patients who had been diagnosed with inguinal hernia in children at DR. M. Djamil Padang Hospital, selected using simple random sampling technique. Research data were obtained from medical records of 46 patients who met the inclusion criteria. The results showed that the most gender was male  with 40 people (87%) inguinal hernia in children. Based on age, the age group 0-1 year of inguinal hernia patients in children is higher at 58.7%. All samples suffered from lateral inguinal hernia (100%). All patients had no family history (100%). The location of inguinal hernia was mostly unilateral on the right side, 69.9%.

Abstract

Obesity is an excessive accumulation of fat in all body tissuesevenly which results in health problems and causes various diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and heart attack. A person who is said to be obesity can be done by measuring the Body Mass Index (BMI). Lack of physical activity is oneof the factors that increase the risk of obesity. The intensity of physical activity performed will affect body weight, depending on the weight and lightness of the physical activity performed. The purpose of this study to discover the correlation physical activity towards occurrence of obesity in medical students of, Baiturrahmah University, Padang. This research involved the field of public health and internal medicine. This type of research is analytic correlation with cross sectional design. This research was conducted in March-December 2022 at the Faculty of Medicine, Baiturrahmah University Padang. The population in this research is medical students, Baiturrahmah University Padang with 29 samples. Data analysis is univariate displayed with frequency distribution tables and bivariate analysis by using chi-square test with SPSS version 23.0 program. The result of this research showed, the average age of students was 21.17 ± 0.85 years; weight 88.66 ± 10.14 kg ; height 164.66 ± 8.00 cm; as manyas 58.6% are woman, as manyas 69.0% are with moderate activity, 79.3% had obesity I, 73.9% are obesity I with moderate activity and there was no correlation between physical activity toward the occurrence of obesity in medical students, Baiturrahmah University Padang (p = 0.222). There is no correlation between physical activity toward occurrence of obesity in medical students, Baiturrahmah University Padang.

Abstract

Circumcision is a medical procedure involving partial or complete removal of the foreskin (prepuce). This procedure is considered a minor surgical procedure. This activity aims to provide training to medical personnel at Siti Rahmah Islamic Hospital (RSI) Padang on circumcision techniques. Circumcision is often encountered in the community due to complications such as bleeding and delayed wound healing. Therefore, training is needed to acquire the latest knowledge, skills, and techniques for preventing complications. Conducting direct training with paramedics at Siti Rahmah Islamic Hospital (RSI) Padang on July 3, 2025. Direct intervention in the form of circumcision was provided to each participant (patient). The results of this circumcision training have trained and skilled paramedics at Siti Rahmah Islamic Hospital (RSI) to perform circumcision with minimal complications.

Abstract

ABSTRACTFires in high-rise buildings cause a lot of losses. Several fire events in multi-storey commercial buildings can be used as a reference for fire disaster mitigation, especially in the evacuation route of shopping center buildings. Boemi Kedaton Mall is the largest shopping center currently located in Bandar Lampung City, Lampung with a land area of approximately 3 hectares, and a building area of approximately 50,000 m2, with 4 floors and 1 basement and a hotel that will stand as high as 6 floors above the mall. . The method used is descriptive analysis. The analysis was carried out on several studies which included analysis of corridors or access exits, directional signs, emergency exits, and assembly points. The results showed that the percentage of suitability of the fire evacuation route at the Boemi Kedaton Mall Shopping Center was 59%. Some aspects that do not meet the standards include: the absence of symbols or signs for directions, the distance to the emergency exit access which is quite difficult to reach, and access to the gathering point which is difficult to reach. From the percentage of conformity which is at <80%, it can be concluded that the fire evacuation route at the Boemi Kedaton Shopping Center still does not meet the minimum standards specified and is considered not ready to face emergency conditions such as fire disasters.Keywords: emergency, evacuation,  fire, mall, passive protection system  ABSTRAK Kebakaran pada gedung bertingkat menyebabkan banyak kerugian. Beberapa peristiwa kebakaran pada gedung komersial bertingkat banyak dapat digunakan sebagai referensi mitigasi bencana kebakaran khususnya pada jalur evakuasi gedung pusat perbelanjaan. Mall Boemi Kedaton adalah pusat perbelanjaan terbesar saat ini yang berada di Kota Bandar Lampung, Lampung dengan luas tanah kurang lebih 3 hektar, serta luas bangunan kurang lebih 50.000 m2, dengan 4 lantai dan 1 basement serta hotel yang akan berdiri setinggi 6 lantai di atas mall. Metode yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif. Analisis yang dilakukan mengenai beberapa studi yang meliputi analisis koridor atau akses jalan keluar, tanda petunjuk arah, pintu darurat, dan titik kumpul. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa presentase kesesuaian jalur evakuasi bencana kebakaran pada Pusat Perbelanjaan Mall Boemi Kedaton berada di angka 59%.  Beberapa aspek yang belum memenuhi standar antara lain: tidak adanya simbol atau tanda petunjuk arah, jarak pada akses pintu darurat yang cukup sulit untuk dijangkau, serta akses menuju titik kumpul yang sulit dijangkau. Dari presentase kesesuaian yang berada di angka <80%, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa jalur evakuasi bencana kebakaran pada Pusat Perbelanjaan Mall Boemi Kedaton masih belum memenuhi standar minimal yang ditentukan dan dinilai belum siap menghadapi kondisi darurat seperti bencana kebakaran. Kata Kunci: darurat, evakuasi,  kebakaran, mal, sistem proteksi pasif

Abstract

The community service program conducted in Sukosewu Hamlet, Sukosewu Village, Gandusari District, Blitar Regency, aims to provide solutions for addressing the issue of used cooking oil waste while simultaneously reducing the environmental pollution caused by its use and promoting product diversification among the local Women’s Empowerment Group (PKK). The training and counseling/socialization methods were carried out for two months to the PKK group. The outreach took place from May to June 2024 in Sukosewu Hamlet, where participants were educated on environmentally friendly methods of processing soap from used cooking oil. Direct mentoring was provided to support the participants, which successfully resulted in the production of eco-friendly soap, contributing to improving the local economy. Additionally, the PKK members gained a deeper understanding of the harmful effects of used cooking oil on health and the environment thanks to this program. Ultimately, participants were also trained in the proper disposal of used cooking oil waste and how to utilize it to prevent environmental pollution. From this mentoring activity, a new product was produced, namely environmentally friendly soap, and public awareness began to grow regarding the importance of protecting the surrounding environment which can increase the economic value (income) of the community, especially mothers in the PKK group.

Abstract

The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the world of education is the change in the learning process from an offline system to an online learning system which aims to keep the learning system implemented. Gadgets are an indispensable tool to connect to the internet network connection so that the online learning system can take place. Objective: To describe the duration of gadget use with the incidence of asthenopia in students at SMPN 1 Padang in 2021.Methods: The scope of this research is the scope of eye health disciplines. The research was conducted in March-November 2021. The type of research is descriptive. The affordable population in this study were all students of SMP N 1 Padang using 117 samples using a total sampling technique. Univariate data analysis is presented in the form of frequency distribution and percentage with data processing using SPSS version 24.0 program. Results: The most gender is female, namely 84 people (71.8%), the most type of gadget is smartphone/android, namely 111 people (94.9%), the duration of most gadget use is >4 hours, namely 113 people (96.6% ), the entire incidence of asthenopia was not asthenopia, namely 117 people (100.0%).

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of Teaching Materials for Critical Reading Skills with Moral Messages, based on the short story "Helvy Tiada Rosa," for grade XI students at SMA 1 Pringsewu. The research method used Borg and Gall's R&D cycle approach, including steps ranging from data collection, product design, design validation, product trial, to product revision. The research instruments consisted of non-tests and tests, with validation of teaching materials by material experts. Data analysis was carried out descriptively. The results showed that the development of teaching materials was included in the "good" category, with the validation of the material aspects as a whole also categorized as "good." The effectiveness of the development of teaching materials is evidenced by the increase in students' knowledge, understanding, and skills, such as finding factual information, distinguishing opinions and facts, and assessing the suitability between the title and content of the reading. The skills of understanding moral messages, distinguishing reality from fantasy, and finding themes in literary works are also classified as very good.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui : (1) Gambaran kemandirian belajar, peran orang tua dan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah E-Goverment di Institut Bakti Nusantara, (2) Pengaruh kemandirian belajar terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa Mozila mata kuliah E-Goverment di Institut Bakti Nusantara, Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan expost facto. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa kelas Mozila 1 Bakti Nusantara yang berjumlah 104 mahasiswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah proportional random sampling dengan sampel yang diperoleh berjumlah 84 mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian ini, (1) Deskriptif hasil kemandirian, peran orang tua cenderung tinggi dan hasil belajar mahasiswa kelas Mozila Institut Bakti Nusantara masuk dalam kategori cukup, (2) Tidak terdapat pengaruh kemandirian terhadap hasil belajar E-Goverment di kelas Mozila Institut Bakti Nusantara.

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat dampak penggunaan gadget terhadap karakter religious siswa di Sekolah menengah pertama, sehingga tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dampak penggunaan gadget terhadap karakter religius siswa di Sekolah menengah pertama. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi deskriptif, dengan metode pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data Miles dan Huberman, analisis data meliputi pengumpulan data, redaksi data, analisis data, dan prediksi atau verifikasi data. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dampak penggunaan gadget terhadap karakter religius siswa mulai terlihat, sebagian siswa menjadi individu yang individualistis; Hal ini seperti malas belajar, melalaikan sholat, malas belajar mengaji, dan suka membantah kepada orang tua. Hal ini sangat mempengaruhi tanggung jawab dan sikap religious seorang anak. Penyebabnya adalah siswa lebih banyak menghabiskan waktu menggunakan teknologi dan kurang mendapat perhatian dari orang tua, sehingga membuat anak menjadi malas melakukan hal yang positif.
