Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited research on the evaluation of the psychomotor domain in Islamic Religious Education, particularly through arts-based project approaches, despite the significant role this domain plays in the internalization of religious values. The objective of this study is to describe the implementation of psychomotor skills assessment in students’ understanding of Asmaul Husna through a calligraphy project conducted during the Pesantren Ramadhan program at Al-Fath Mosque, Seberang Padang. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with purposive sampling to determine research subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The findings show that psychomotor evaluation was carried out through three main stages: planning, implementation, and follow-up. Assessment was conducted authentically through direct practice and student portfolio work. The results indicate that students were able to integrate religious understanding with artistic expression through calligraphy effectively, reflecting the success of the contextual, project-based learning approach in fostering psychomotor skill development. The implications of this study highlight the importance of innovation in religious education assessment by integrating affective, cognitive, and psychomotor dimensions in a holistic manner.

Abstract

The implementation of Islamic Religious Education learning evaluation based on Project Based Learning in the Merdeka Curriculum is an educational innovation that aims to improve the quality of learning through a more dynamic and student-centered approach. The purpose of the research on the implementation of the Project Based Learning -based Islamic Religious Education learning evaluation in the Merdeka Curriculum at Madrasah is to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of the Project Based Learning method in Islamic Religious Education learning. This research method uses descriptive quantitative. The research will involve quantitative data collection through surveys and questionnaires distributed to students and teachers at Madrasah. The questionnaires are designed to measure students' perceptions and satisfaction levels as well as the effectiveness of Project Based Learning implementation from the teachers' perspective. In addition, additional data will be collected through document analysis, such as student project results, teacher evaluation reports, and classroom observation notes. The collected data will be analyzed using descriptive statistics to describe the frequency distribution, percentage, mean, and standard deviation of the variables studied. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of Project Based Learning is effective in improving students' understanding of Islamic Religious Education teaching materials. Students are actively involved in learning, increase motivation, and develop critical, creative, and collaborative skills. Challenges such as limited resources, lack of teacher training, and difficulty designing evaluation instruments according to the Project Based Learning context were also identified. To overcome them, in-depth training for teachers, improved access to technology and learning resources, and the development of evaluation strategies in accordance with Project Based Learning are needed. By adopting the practical recommendations from this study, it is expected that the implementation of Project Based Learning -based learning evaluation can improve the effectiveness and efficiency of achieving Merdeka Curriculum goals.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of strengthening the religious character of students in the madrasah environment. There are still students who have not prayed on time and are less active in religious activities such as commemorating Islamic holidays. Strategic efforts to strengthen religious character are carried out through the internalization of values in the Rahmatan Lil 'Alamin Student Profile (PPRA). The purpose of this study is to determine how students practice the values of PPRA, describe the religious character of students, and analyze the effect of PPRA values on the religious character of students at MAN 3 Padang Pariaman. This research uses a quantitative approach with ex post facto method. The research sample amounted to 99 students from classes X and XI who were selected through proportional random sampling. The data collection instrument was a Likert scale questionnaire, while the data analysis technique used simple linear regression test. The results showed that PPRA values were internalized through real activities such as Bajamba Custom, Student Elections, Friday Blessings, and Ecobricks which fostered religious attitudes, social responsibility, and empathy. The religious character of students is reflected in positive habits such as congregational prayer, daily prayer, Friday donations, and involvement in religious activities. The results of the regression analysis showed a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05) and an R Square value of 0.743, which is

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the Game Based Learning model accompanied by Wordwall media on student learning independence in Islamic Religious Education and Morality (PAI BP) subjects at SD Angkasa Padang. The background of this study is based on the low level of student learning independence in PAI BP learning, which tends to still depend on teachers. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a pretest-posttest control group design. The research subjects were fifth-grade students at SD Angkasa Padang, who were divided into an experimental class and a control class. The research instruments were a learning independence questionnaire and an observation sheet of student learning activities. The data were analyzed using a t-test to see the significant difference between the two groups. The results showed that the implementation of the Game-Based Learning model with the help of Wordwall had a positive effect on increasing student learning independence. Students became more active, motivated, and able to manage their learning time independently. Thus, the implementation of the Game-Based Learning model accompanied by Wordwall can be used as an alternative effective learning strategy to increase student learning independence in PAI BP lessons in elementary schools.
