Abstract

The El Nino phenomenon in 2023 caused more than 50% of Shallot farmers in Pandean Village, Nganjuk Regency, to experience crop failure due to limited water and a weak data-based management system. The target of this community service is 30 shallot farmers who are members of the P4S Santosa Jaya group. This community service activity aims to increase farmers' understanding of the application of the Internet of Things (IoT) in shallot cultivation through socialization, training, and farmer assistance. The implementation method includes preparation, interactive socialization with pre-tests and post-tests, as well as evaluation of farmers' perceptions. The results of the activity show a significant increase in knowledge, where before the activity 50% of participants were in the less knowledgeable category, and after the activity, it increased to 50% in the knowledgeable category and 26.7% in the very knowledgeable category. In addition, farmers' perceptions of IoT are largely positive (50%), although there are still neutral (30%) and skeptical (20%) responses regarding investment costs, internet access, and technical skills. These findings demonstrate that educational assistance can enhance agricultural digital literacy while serving as a first step toward data-driven farming adoption.

Abstract

Mental health issues, especially depression, are increasingly prevalent among university students in Indonesia, primarily due to academic, social, and emotional pressures during the transition from adolescence to adulthood. This study developed and evaluated UWAYS, a mobile application designed to assist the early detection of depressive symptoms using the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9). The app features include an interactive PHQ-9 self-assessment,  historical tracking of assessment results, and automatic initial recommendations based on score classifications. Involving 100 active students of UPN “Veteran” East Java, the results showed that most participants fell  within the mild to moderate depression categories, with sleep disturbance and low self-confidence as the most common symptoms. The System Usability Scale (SUS) assessment yielded an average score of 77.3, indicating good usability and positive user acceptance. These findings confirm that UWAYS provides an accessible, practical, and user-friendly tool for independent mental health screening among students. This application serves as an initial step to support mental health management in the campus environment and offers potential for further integration with university counseling services. The study also highlights that the lack of early detection mechanisms on campus remains a gap that can be addressed through digital innovation like UWAYS, which combines scientific accuracy, data confidentiality, and ease of use to encourage proactive mental health awareness among students.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is something that everyone should encourage in their children from an early age. Entrepreneurship should be encouraged from a young age so that everyone can develop creative and inventive behavior and character. In terms of community service, we incorporate the entrepreneurial spirit into the activities of the entrepreneurship education teaching and learning process. We chose Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Rejoso Kabupaten Nganjuk to inculcate actual entrepreneurship values in elementary school pupils from an early age. Through these teaching and learning activities, all students are expected to understand the transaction tools used in entrepreneurship, the purchasing and selling process, and how to advertise their business items.

Abstract

Losari Village has quite good and prospective tourism potential if it is managed properly, one of which is by using rainwater as its main source of irrigation, the average farmer changes the type of crop he grows on arid and barren hills to corn. Losari hamlet is a remote hamlet, although it is far from other villages, it is likely to develop into a more sophisticated hamlet than the others. If it is managed properly and effectively, the tourism potential of the hamlet is represented by Sendang Sari, or Mata Air, Punden Losari, Sendang's position Sari is surrounded by many large plants and makes it difficult for the area around Sendang Sari to be exposed to sunlight, so modifications are made including religious tourism in the form of Sendang Sari and Punden Losari. To overcome this problem, therefore village officials planted sunflowers to increase tourist attraction so that they were interested in taking pictures with sunflowers or even just seeing and enjoying the beauty of sunflowers. Through this community service activity in the form of creative and innovative activities, sunflower aims to increase the potential for tourist attraction. The result of the sunflower planting activity at Punden Losari is that it can add to the aesthetic value of the existing cultural tourist attraction, which has been planted with 700 sunflower seeds by adding aesthetic value to Punden Losari and benefiting wild birds in Losari Punden as well. The service team in this innovative activity has played an active role and participated in increasing community synergy so that beautiful natural tourism can be created

Abstract

Gempol Village, Rejoso District, Nganjuk Regency, is a village with most of its population working as farmers. The factor that encourages residents of Gempol Village to work as farmers is that most of the area is still agricultural land and the other regions are used as residential areas for the population of Gempol Village with a total of 1,962 people. So the impact of low population density is that there is a lot of empty land that is still not being utilized optimally. Therefore, researchers see an opportunity for empty land to be used as a TOGA Park. The research methods used are observation, design of the main construction of Sprinkler irrigation, and design of Sprinkler irrigation systems. TOGA Park in Gempol Village requires regular watering, so the Sprinkler irrigation system was chosen because it can increase efficiency and effectiveness in meeting TOGA's water needs. Apart from that, the Sprinkler irrigation system in TOGA Park also needs attention in its maintenance to increase efficiency and effectiveness in meeting TOGA's water needs. Abstract

Balongwono Village has the potential of natural resources that are very dominant, namely corn agricultural products and some of the Balongwono Village people make a living as corn farmers. The purpose of the socialization carried out by group 1 KKNT Bela Negara UPN "Veteran" East Java is to increase public knowledge about the use of corn and utilize corn to be more effective, innovative, and efficient which can be traded and can improve the economy of housewives in Balongwono Village. It is hoped that with this socialization activity, this "Corn Chick" corn nugget can become a superior innovation product that has high selling value. The method used is The method of implementation in the innovation activity of utilizing natural resources in the form of corn is carried out by learning by doing, the first stage is sharing recipes, the second is sharing knowledge by explaining the ingredients used and the process of making products, the tools needed, how to store and serve, finally student group 1 demonstrates how to process the product. The results of this service are that students have succeeded in socializing the use of corn and participants can absorb the knowledge that has been given.

Abstract

Sign language is frequently used by those who have difficulty hearing or speaking to communicate. Because it is a non-verbal language that expresses meaning through hand and body gestures, sign language is an essential form of communication for people who rely on it. The objective of this work is to develop a detection that can understand actions made in Indonesian Sign Language (BISINDO), translate them into text, and use speech recognition (Text- to-Speech) to provide audio responses. In particular at Sekolah Luar Biasa, the main objective is to assist and enhance communication among persons with impairments. Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) and Mediapipe Holistics are use to achieve its objectives. It is demonstrated how LSTM and Mediapipe Holistics enhance performance and accuracy using two different dataset types. The first dataset landmarks created using the Mediapipe Holistics model, while the second dataset provides original shots devoid of landmarks. Batch size and epoch settings are among the many parameters needed for training and testing processes. Model using the landmark-free dataset only manages to reach an accuracy of approximately 89.33%, the model using the landmark with mediapipe of accuracy of about 96.67%. Furthermore, the landmark-based model exhibits strong F1 scores, recall, and precision. The research successfully recognizes a number of BISINDO acts, such as "saya" (I), "kamu" (you), "ayah" (father), "ibu" (mother), and others present in the dataset. On the basis of the gestures it has identified can also make speech.

Abstract

Media sosial kini menjadi tempat untuk berkomunikasi jarak jauh yang marak digunakan. Di dalam media sosial, terdapat berbagai macam opini pengguna yang sering kali terjadi kesalahan penafsiran oleh pembaca. Kadang kala, informasi yang tersebar juga merupakan hoaks sehingga dapat mempersulit pemahaman aktual sentimen yang sesungguhnya ingin disampaikan. Beberapa waktu terakhir, topik pembicaraan mengenai pemindahan ibu kota negara Indonesia sangat banyak tersebar di media sosial. Dilakukannya penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mendapatkan perbandingan hasil antara dua metode ekstraksi fitur yang digunakan. Penelitian ini menerapkan ekstraksi fitur GloVe dan FastText dengan besaran nilai ukuran vektor sebesar 100. Klasifikasi dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan algoritma Convolutional Neural Network yang menerapkan beberapa variasi skenario uji, yaitu dengan mengubah nilai batch size dan epoch. Penelitian dilakukan dengan 44957 data komentar YouTube yang besar perbandingannya adalah 70:30 untuk data pelatihan dan data pengujian. Hasil dari dilakukannya percobaan menunjukkan bahwa metode ekstraksi fitur GloVe menghasilkan akurasi yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan FastText. Hasil akhir didapatkan bahwa implementasi Convolutional Neural Network dengan GloVe menghasilkan rata-rata nilai precision sebesar 74.3%, recall sebesar 73.6%, f1-score sebesar 73.6%, serta accuracy sebesar 76.1%.

Abstract

Industri kopi global sangat dipengaruhi oleh peran masyarakat pecinta kopi, yang menciptakan ekosistem dimana kopi tetap menjadi komoditas istimewa. Salah satu aspek penting dalam pengelolaan kopi adalah penentuan grade kopi. Standar penilaian cacat pada biji kopi telah diakui secara nasional sejak tahun 1984 dan diperbarui dengan SNI 01-2907-2008 untuk memastikan kualitas dan konsistensi. Untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan akurasi proses grading kopi, diperlukan sistem otomatis berbasis deep learning. Penelitian ini membahas penerapan CNN dan Faster R-CNN untuk klasifikasi biji kopi, dengan menggunakan biji kopi arabika, robusta, dan liberica. Algoritma CNN VGG-16 dan Faster R-CNN dibandingkan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh Region Proposal Network (RPN) terhadap efisiensi klasifikasi citra. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa CNN VGG-16 mencapai akurasi 86%, sementara Faster R-CNN mencapai rata-rata akurasi 93%, dengan presisi 93%, recall 92%, dan skor F1 92%. Abstract

Virtual tour (VT) technology is a virtualized digital technology that allows users to visit and explore locations without physically being there. This allows tourism owners to promote their tours using VT technology. One of them is Asriloka Wonosalam Ecotourism in Jombang, which is concerned with how potential visitors can see an overview of the facilities and atmosphere available. Through the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method, this paper aims to design and build Asriloka Wonosalam VT and then evaluate its application. This paper results in the design and creation of the Asriloka Wonosalam VT which has 3600 panoramic features, voice over information, text information, and a simple tour guide. The evaluation results show that 7 black box testing question items have a successful conclusion, finally the Asriloka Wonosalam VT was successfully created, implemented, and launched to support digital promotion.
