Abstract

The phenomenon of ethical leadership in Islam has become increasingly crucial amid contemporary social dynamics. This study aims to analyze the principles of ethical leadership from the perspective of the Qur'an and their application in the case of Gus Miftah. A descriptive qualitative approach based on library research was employed. Primary sources include the Qur'an, Tafsir al-Azhar by Hamka, and Al-Ahkam As-Sultaniyyah. The data were analyzed using content analysis through a deductive approach—deriving general principles from primary texts to examine contemporary leadership phenomena. The findings reveal that ethical leadership in Islam is grounded in the values of trustworthiness (amanah), justice, consultation (shura), and etiquette in speech. In the case of Gus Miftah, a discrepancy is found between the ideal Qur'anic leadership principles and the public communication practices exhibited, particularly concerning respect for individual dignity. Theoretically, this study contributes to the development of Qur'anic-based ethical leadership frameworks within contemporary exegesis. Practically, it offers insights for religious figures and public leaders to enhance ethical sensitivity and communication standards in social and religious spheres.

Abstract

This study examines the use of standard clauses (klausula baku) in contracts, which often create an imbalance by allowing the stronger party to dictate terms, leaving the weaker party with no opportunity for negotiation. This practice can lead to unfair transactions, especially when the weaker party lacks bargaining power or knowledge. The research explores how Islamic law views such practices and their impact on fairness and transparency in commercial transactions. The gap in existing literature lies in the limited analysis of how klausula baku contradicts Islamic principles of mutual consent, justice, and the protection of the weaker party. The findings show that klausula baku in contracts, when imposed without mutual agreement, violates Islamic principles of fairness and equity. Islamic law emphasizes justice, transparency, and the need for mutual consent in transactions. The study highlights that such practices, which favor the stronger party, are inconsistent with Sharia-compliant commercial transactions. The research suggests that reforms are necessary to align these contracts with Islamic ethical standards, ensuring that transactions remain just, transparent, and fair for all parties involved.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms, strategies, and supporting and inhibiting factors for maintaining the Javanese language in the diaspora community in Pangkajene Village, Maritengngae District, Sidenreng Rappang Regency. The phenomenon of language shift that occurs due to social mobility and interaction with different language environments is the background to the importance of this study. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the maintenance of the Javanese language is carried out through the use of language in the family, social activities, and religious areas. The strategies applied include passing on the language to children, using Javanese in traditional activities, and getting used to it in daily communication. Supporting factors include a sense of pride in ethnic identity and the existence of a community of fellow diaspora, while inhibiting factors include the dominance of Indonesian and Bugis languages in the surrounding environment and the lack of interest of the younger generation. This study emphasizes the importance of the role of families and communities in maintaining the sustainability of regional languages in a multicultural society.

The problems studied in this research and its objectives are first to find out the village government's strategy in improving administrative services in the vulnerable villages of Krejengan sub-district and to find out the type of administration of vulnerable villages in Krejengan sub-district in accordance with Minister of Home Affairs regulation number 47 of 2016. Based on the problem formulation and research objectives, the method used is an empirical juridical approach, namely legal research on regulations governing village government strategies in improving administrative services in Rawan Village, Krejengan District. The results of the research in preparing this thesis, in implementing village government strategies in improving administrative services in vulnerable villages in the Krejengan sub-district, village government administration is still not well organized by village government officials. Abstract

This article examines the historical factors that have influenced the growth and development of Islamic law over time. Islamic law, as one of the rich and complex legal systems, is not only influenced by primary normative sources such as the Qur'an and Hadith, but also by the social, political, and cultural dynamics in various regions and historical periods. Through a historical-analytical approach, this research explores various crucial determinants in the evolution of Islamic law, including its interactions with other civilizations, the development of religious thought, as well as political and economic transformations. The findings of this study suggest that the development of Islamic law is not a static phenomenon, but rather an ongoing process that continues to evolve in accordance with its historical context. A deep understanding of these factors is essential for grasping the adaptive nature of Islamic law across different parts of the world, as well as its relevance in addressing contemporary legal challenges

Abstract

This research employs a qualitative descriptive method aimed at analyzing spelling and morphological errors in online news articles published by Tribun Timur.com, specifically the Tribun Sidrap edition dated February 3, 2025. The study focuses on language errors involving the use of letters, word formation, affixation, punctuation, and other elements related to the Indonesian Spelling System (EYD) Edition V. A total of 25 news articles were selected purposively as the data source. The data were collected through reading, note-taking, and documentation techniques, and analyzed using data reduction, classification, and interpretation procedures. The findings reveal several types of language errors, including seven errors in the use of capital letters, three italicization errors, five-word formation errors, nine affixation mistakes, five hyphenation or compound word errors, one error in preposition use, three numerical/punctuation issues, and two comma-related punctuation errors. These mistakes suggest a lack of adherence to standardized Indonesian language rules in the media, which could affect the credibility of news articles and influence public language habits. The study concludes that consistent application of EYD rules is essential to improve the quality of language in online news writing. It recommends that journalists and editors implement rigorous editing practices to reduce errors and promote accurate language use. Furthermore, future research is encouraged to explore broader linguistic aspects such as syntactic and semantic errors in various media formats to support national language development and public literacy.

Abstract

Purpose - This study aims to examine the validity of using cryptocurrency as dowry in marriage based on contemporary Islamic law and positive law in Indonesia. The phenomenon of giving dowry in the form of digital assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDT has sparked debate in contemporary Islamic family law. Methods - The research method used is the normative legal method with a conceptual approach. Data sources were obtained from legislation, religious fatwas, fiqh books, and scientific journals. Analysis was conducted using thematic and content analysis. Findings - The findings of this study indicate that cryptocurrency can be used as dowry in marriage, provided that there are clear underlying assets, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDT, which have economically measurable value. These assets can be accepted as dowry as long as both parties agree and they can be legally transferred. Conversely, if a type of cryptocurrency does not have a clear underlying asset, it is prohibited to use it as dowry in marriage. This demonstrates the adaptation and flexibility of Islamic family law to contemporary phenomena while remaining grounded in Islamic law. Research limitations - Limitations of the study in terms of empirical data. However, this study provides a conceptual contribution to the development of Islamic family law that is responsive to technological dynamics. Originality - This study makes a valuable contribution to the contemporary Islamic legal discourse in formulating legal guidelines regarding the use of digital assets.
