Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) on commercial transactions (buying and selling) within e-commerce learning at Madrasah Aliyah Persatuan Guru Agama Islam Padang through a literature review approach. The research addresses the growing need for integrating fiqh concepts with digital economic practices as online trading becomes increasingly central in students’ daily lives. This study aims to analyze how the principles of fiqh al-buyu’, including pillars, conditions, lawful and unlawful practices, and the prohibition of gharar, can be effectively incorporated into e-commerce learning materials. Using a systematic literature review, relevant books, scholarly articles, and contemporary studies on Islamic commercial law and digital transactions were examined. The findings indicate that e-commerce practices can be aligned with Islamic legal principles when clarity of contract, consent of parties, halal goods, and transparent procedures are ensured, as supported by the Qur’anic principle “wa ahallallāhu al-bay’” (Q.S. Al-Baqarah: 275). The study concludes that integrating fiqh of buying and selling into e-commerce learning enhances students’ understanding of sharia-compliant digital transactions and strengthens their literacy in Islamic economics in the digital era. Abstract

This study aims to qualitatively review the literature on the potential and challenges of implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in teaching the Fiqh al-Munākaḥāt course, specifically the topic of Nikah Mut'ah, in the context of Islamic Higher Education (IHE). The topic of Nikah Mut'ah is a fiqh subject rich in scholarly differences (ikhtilaf) and sensitive, requiring a pedagogical approach that can nurture critical thinking and tolerance. The method used is a qualitative literature study by analyzing academic documents, journal articles, and textbooks related to PBL, Islamic education, and contemporary fiqh. The results indicate that PBL is highly relevant for addressing the complexity and ambiguity of disputed topics, as it encourages students to construct their own understanding through analysis of real cases, comparing evidences, and producing solutions that are academically and ethically responsible. PBL facilitates the achievement of critical learning objectives and avoids dogmatism in fiqh material, with the main finding being the conceptual framework of the Adaptive Fiqh PBL Model (MPBLA-F).

Abstract

This article examines the position and methodological foundation of Ijma’ (consensus of scholars) and Qiyas (analogical reasoning) as essential sources in Islamic legal theory. As new socio-economic and technological issues emerge, classical jurisprudential approaches require reinterpretation to maintain relevance. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method through literature review of classical and contemporary works in Ushul Fiqh. The findings show that Ijma’ provides definitive legitimacy to legal rulings when scholars reach unanimous consensus, while Qiyas enables legal extension based on shared effective causes (‘illah). However, debates remain regarding the authority of silent consensus (Ijma’ Sukuti) and the limit of analogical reasoning in complex modern cases. The novelty of this research lies in systematically linking classical arguments with contemporary legal challenges, offering a conceptual model for applying Ijma’ and Qiyas in modern jurisprudential contexts, especially in digital and socio-ethical issues.

Abstract

This study explores the issue of unfamiliarity with professional zakat among Indonesian Muslims, where types of professional income such as doctors' or lawyers' salaries have not been fully recognized as objects of zakat, even though they have great potential to support social welfare. The main purpose is to examine the legal basis of professional zakat through analogy (qiyas) with other property zakat, as well as to formulate provisions and calculation methods in accordance with the modern economic context, in order to improve understanding and application in society. The method used is a qualitative approach with library research, involving content analysis of classical and contemporary literature sources such as the fiqh book of Yusuf al-Qardhawi, scholarly interpretation, and modern studies of professional zakat. The results of the study show that professional zakat has a strong shari'i basis from Qur'anic verses and general hadiths, with qiyas on trade zakat as the most moderate approach (nisab 85 grams of gold, 2.5% level, one-year haul), as well as the flexibility of calculation between gross or net income based on muzakki conditions. Recommendations include intensive education by zakat institutions and the development of a practical calculation model to introduce professional zakat as an integral part of Islamic social worship.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in teaching contemporary Fiqh, particularly the topic of contract marriage, at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Padang through a library research approach. PBL is viewed as a learning model that encourages students to think critically, independently, and analytically in understanding modern fiqh issues that are problematic and controversial in nature. The topic of contract marriage was selected because it constitutes an important part of contemporary fiqh studies, requiring an in-depth understanding of religious evidence, social context, and differences in opinion among classical and modern Islamic scholars. This research employs various literature sources, including books, academic journals, previous research findings, and curriculum documents relevant to Fiqh instruction in madrasahs. The results of the analysis indicate that PBL is effective in contemporary Fiqh learning, as it is able to integrate real-life problems as triggers for discussion, enhance higher-order thinking skills, and habituate students to engage with current issues in a scientific and analytical manner. In the context of contract marriage material, PBL assists students in understanding legal, social, and ethical aspects through processes of investigation, information gathering, and evidence-based argumentation. Furthermore, PBL aligns with the characteristics of the Merdeka Curriculum and the demands of 21st-century learning, which emphasize collaboration, problem-solving skills, and digital literacy. Therefore, based on the literature review, the PBL model can be considered relevant and effective in improving the quality of contemporary Fiqh learning at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Padang, particularly for topics that require critical reasoning such as contract marriage.

Abstract

Peat ecosystems are one of the tropical ecosystems that have high ecological value because they play a role in carbon storage, hydrological regulation, and as a habitat for various fauna groups, including birds. Rawa Tripa, as part of the Leuser Ecosystem Area, is one of the most important peat landscapes in Aceh that faces anthropogenic pressures such as forest fragmentation and land use change. The lack of basic data on bird communities in this area hinders evidence-based conservation efforts. This study aims to inventory the bird species found in the Tripa Peat Forest and assess their conservation value in the context of habitat management. The survey was conducted from July 18 to 28, 2024, using the point count method on 10 observation transects. The results of the study recorded 16 bird species from 12 families, with the Pycnonotidae family being the most commonly found group. Several species with important conservation status were also identified, such as Leptoptilos javanicus (Near Threatened), Acridotheres javanicus (Vulnerable), and the presence of Rhyticeros undulatus (Vulnerable) and their nest, indicating the availability of large trees for nesting. Based on their feeding behavior, the birds of Rawa Tripa exhibit a diversity of ecological functions, ranging from insectivores and frugivores to raptors. These findings indicate that Rawa Tripa still has habitat quality that supports bird communities, even though threats such as hunting and land degradation remain. This study emphasizes the urgency of long-term monitoring and the need for conservation strategies that maintain vegetation structure and wetland sustainability in the Rawa Tripa area.

Abstract

Burn injuries, especially second-degree burns, remain a global health concern. Their complex healing mechanisms and socioeconomic burden make them challenging to treat.  This study evaluates the effects of 3% nutmeg (Myristicafragrans) cream on collagen remodeling and epithelial regeneration in grade II burns, using advanced histological techniques.  A post-test-only experimental design was used. Five groups were included: normal control, untreated burn, burn treated with nutmeg cream, burn treated with silver sulfadiazine (SSD), and burn treated with both nutmeg cream and SSD. Collagen subtype distribution was examined using Picrosirius Red–Fast Green staining under polarized light. Epithelialization was assessed using Gold-Orange staining. Results showed that nutmeg cream significantly enhanced the transition from collagen type III to type I. It improved epithelial thickness and promoted keratohyalin granule formation compared to untreated burns. The combination therapy improved some histological features but did not consistently outperform single therapy by day 18. These findings indicate that nutmeg cream supports extracellular matrix remodeling and epithelial maturation. This validates its traditional use and suggests its potential as an accessible adjunctive therapy.  Overall, this study underscores the value of integrating plant-based bioactives with standard treatments to improve burn wound healing.
