Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the supporting factors in the form of facilities in improving the numeracy skills of students at SDN Margorejo 1 Surabaya. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with the main subjects in this study including the principal and homeroom teacher. The first data collection technique is direct observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of research obtained from observations and interviews with resource persons, it can be concluded that there are several efforts that have been made by school principals in increasing numeracy skills that are in accordance with the contents of the discussion contained in the supporting material for numeracy literacy, which is to improve numeracy by doing habituation by giving story questions related to everyday life and starting from the simplest things by utilizing the environment around the school as a supporting facility. In line with previous research, there are several factors that students lack understanding about numeracy, including lack of habituation in giving story questions related to daily life, and training for teachers is needed to improve their teaching abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of exploratory methods in learning dance to increase the creativity of grade 2 students at SDN Made 1 Surabaya. The research method used is descriptive qualitative where this research requires data in the form of descriptive information by building a theory based on the data obtained. Sources of data used in this study are primary and secondary data sources. The techniques used in collecting data are observation, interviews, and documentation. The target audience for this study were grade 2 teachers, grade 2 students and the principal of SDN Made 1 Surabaya. The exploratory method applied by the teacher goes through the stages of planning, providing initial material, the exploration process, improvisation, and evaluation. The results obtained are that grade 2 students at SDN Made 1 Surabaya are able to develop imagination, increase creativity, and improve student learning outcomes through exploratory learning.

Abstract

Salah satu dari sekian banyak alat dalam kotak peralatan pendidikan adalah media pembelajaran. Bahkan di tengah pandemi saat ini, beberapa bentuk media pembelajaran telah ditemukan untuk membantu kegiatan belajar mengajar; ini memiliki implikasi penting untuk strategi yang digunakan oleh pendidik. Karena epidemi saat ini, guru sekolah dasar mengalami kesulitan membuat media pembelajaran online, mencegah mereka memberikan pendidikan online terbaik kepada siswa. Dengan pemikiran tersebut, upaya PPM tim dosen PGSD Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Surabaya difokuskan pada penciptaan dan diseminasi sumber daya pembelajaran digital di SDN Bantaran II Kecamatan Bantaran Kabupaten Probolinggo Provinsi Jawa Timur sangat signifikan. Diharapkan para pendidik memiliki apresiasi yang lebih dalam terhadap evolusi perangkat pembelajaran digital dan lebih terinspirasi untuk mengejar pertumbuhan profesional mereka sendiri sebagai hasil dari partisipasi dalam latihan ini. Strategi tersebut diimplementasikan melalui webinar, model, dan simulasi, serta lokakarya dan pekerjaan rumah, yang semuanya dilakukan secara online. Sebagai hasil dari latihan ini, pendidik akan memiliki lebih sedikit masalah dalam mengumpulkan dan membuat sumber daya pendidikan untuk digunakan secara online.

Abstract

Elementary school learning that is integrated with games can increase student motivation in learning so that it can have a positive impact on learning outcomes. The bibliometric review used in this research aims to analyze articles that discuss the use of games at the elementary school level published in the Scopus database indexed journal for the period 2013-2022. A total of 122 articles discussing the integration of games in primary school level learning were analyzed. The review findings show that there was a significant increase in the number of publications in 2016-2021, around 77.87% of articles were published in that period. Spain and Indonesia dominate the number of publications. Four authors with 3 publications each are influential authors. Data visualization shows that this research topic can be grouped based on the type of game, type of game, subject of study, learning approach, type of learning, subject involved in research, and a number of topics that have the potential to be integrated with other topics to obtain novelty. The findings of this study can help relevant researchers to recognize research trends in the use of games for primary school learning globally and recommend directions for further research.

Using a qualitative method, the authors looked for candidates who have a real commitment to improving the profession of primary school teachers in the elementary school age range (about 7-12 years). Then, the author conducted in-depth interviews in September and October 2022 with ten elementary school teachers, of which 5 were from public schools and 5 were from private schools in Surabaya, Indonesia. Research shows that primary school teachers will recognize the need to develop students' critical thinking skills but are not adequately equipped to meet this demand. Elementary school teachers choose deliberation and cross-group interaction as key methods for developing critical thinking. These primary school teachers link the relationship between critical thinking and fair and high-quality schools. Critical thinking is very important if want to change society in a way that can assess reason, values, pluralism, and diversity.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kecakapan guru dalam memanfaatkan media pembelajaran daring melalui Edugame Rumah Belajar. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan dengan metode ceramah dan praktik (drill practice). Kegiatan dilakukan secara daring dengan melibatkan guru sekolah dasar. Instrument yang digunakan adalah tes, dan sharing tanya jawab. Data dianalisis dengan membandingkan hasil pretest dan posttest. Hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman peserta terkait edugame rumah belajar meningkat. Peserta dapat memanfaatkan edugame rumah belajar, menganalisis kebutuhan sesuai dengan materi pokok, mata pelajaran, jenjang sekolah serta kelebihan dan kelemahan. Edugame rumah belajar dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media pembelajaran sesuai kebutuhan guru. Portal Edugame telah disediakan Kemdikbud sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan untuk mengatasi kejenuhan siswa selama belajar daring. Edugame bermanfaat untuk mengefektifkan pembelajaran, memotivasi siswa, belajar menjadi menyenangkan, meningkatkan kreativitas dan memberikan stimulus kepada siswa.

Abstract

The huge increase in the number of hotels has led to stiff competition. In the past, competition generally emphasized the quality of hotel services and facilities, but now it is also necessary to improve the ability to manage hotels efficiently. The Covid pandemic has forced hotel management to think and work hard to increase revenue and reduce costs without reducing the quality of service to guests who stay overnight. Hotels that are managed efficiently will be able to win the competition. Therefore, making forecast models and accurate estimates will help hotel managers manage hotels effectively and efficiently, so it is necessary to develop software for forecasting and estimation systems. In this community service activity, we synergize management knowledge with mathematics so that it can be used more easily, accurately, effectively and efficiently in hotel management. In this activity socialization of simulations or numerical calculations related to hotel visitor forecasting is carried out.

Abstract

This community service project aimed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of PT. AJISAKA's business management through the introduction of a sophisticated software tool for forecasting and profitability estimation. Blending management science with computational science, the project sought to facilitate informed decision-making by leveraging artificial intelligence in profitability ratio prediction. The methods employed involved the execution of Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi and extensive socialization of numerical calculation techniques related to the company's profit estimation. The project was well received by the company's management, with the software's potential to enhance business insight and streamline operations being widely appreciated. The result of this endeavor underscores the potential of AI in revolutionizing profitability forecasts and business management. Furthermore, it bolsters the case for technological self-sufficiency in the economic and business sectors, paving the way for future innovation and the broad adoption of artificial intelligence in business management. Highlights: Utilization of artificial intelligence for accurate profitability forecasting and enhanced business decision-making. Abstract

Tulisan ini merupakan jurnal pengabdian masyarakat di bidang kesehatan yang mana kegiatannya merupakan bagian dari Kuliah Kerja Nyata Tematik Universitas Panca Marga Tahun 2021. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di lingkungan Kota Probolinggo utamanya di Kecamatan Kademangan. KKN tidak lagi memungkinkan dilakukan dengan metode yang pernah dan selama ini dilaksanakan akibat pandemi covid-19 yang belum berakhir. Pandemi covid-19 tidak dapat dipungkiri telah mengakibatkan perubahan besar pada seluruh sektor penting kehidupan masyarakat utamanya Kesehatan komunal. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan metode desentralisasi yakni menempatkan mahasiswa yang tinggal dalam satu wilayah dalam satu kelompok KKN. Kelompok ini terdiri atas 15 mahasiswa yang kemudian dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok terbatas yang terdiri atas 3 mahasiswa. Setiap kelompok terbatas ini kemudian melakukan survei untuk dapat mengumpulkan data yang bermanfaat membangun analisis situasi, persoalan yang dihadapi mitra hingga merumuskan solusi berupa tindakan aksi (action research). Efektivitas program diukur melalui dampak yang dihasilkan yakni seberapa banyak anggota masyarakat yang terjangkau oleh kegiatan pembagian hand sanitizer ini. Efektivitas diukur dengan skala jumlah anggota masyarakat yang terjangkau kecil, sedang dan tinggi. Kegiatan dinilai berjalan efektif jika jumlah anggota masyarakat terdampak berada pada tingkat keterjangkauan pada level tinggi yang dibuktikan dengan jumlah pengunjung lokasi kegiatan dilakukan yakni di atas 250 orang dalam 8 kali kunjungan setiap tim terbatas ke lokasi.
