Abstract

Douglas Brown's dimensions divide learners into children, adolescents, and adults. Language skills are essential for all individuals at every age level. The first language skill humans acquire is listening. The purpose of this study is to determine strategies for improving students' listening skills, particularly at the elementary school level, after the use of interactive flat panel (IFP) media. This research was inspired by Douglas Brown's book, chapters six and sixteen. The study used literature review and interviews. The results, described in a qualitative descriptive manner, indicate that the use of IFP can improve children's listening skills.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of Islamic Religious Education and spirituality in the recovery process of drug addicts. with the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Through spiritual approaches such as dhikr, prayer, meditation, and introspection, Islamic education provides emotional support, improves mental health, and strengthens the psychological resilience of addicts. Several countries such as Uzbekistan, the United States, and Malaysia have implemented a spiritual-based rehabilitation approach that has proven effective, by adapting local values. In Indonesia, the Inabah method applied in Islamic boarding schools has succeeded in helping thousands of addicts in their recovery. In addition, the use of technology such as the Virtual-Inabah application increases the accessibility and effectiveness of spiritual-based therapy. These findings suggest that the integration of religious education and Islamic psycho-spiritual approaches can improve the quality of life of addicts and reduce the risk of relapse.

Abstract

Komak plants are local legume species (Fabaceae) widely distributed in West Lombok Regency and traditionally utilized by local communities. Ethnobotanical studies are important to document the relationship between communities, plant resources, and environmental knowledge that supports sustainable use of local biodiversity. This study aimed to analyze the morphological diversity, utilization patterns, and environmental wisdom associated with komak plants in West Lombok. Data were collected through field observations and semi-structured interviews using purposive and snowball sampling techniques across ten sub-districts. The results identified three main komak species utilized by the community, namely Lablab purpureus, Phaseolus lunatus L., and Canavalia ensiformis (L.) DC. Within the Lablab group, three variants were recorded: L. purpureus subsp. uncinatus Verdc., L. purpureus subsp. purpureus, and L. purpureus var. typicus. Community utilization of komak was classified into six categories: food, traditional medicine, traditional ceremonies, ecological functions, economic functions, and animal feed. The highest Index of Cultural Significance (ICS) was recorded for L. purpureus subsp. purpureus (59), while C. ensiformis showed the lowest value (4). In addition, komak management reflects local environmental wisdom, including mutual cooperation during harvest, traditional seed storage, and ecological adaptation practices that support the sustainability of local agroecosystems.

Abstract

Islamic higher education institutions face challenges in developing Outcome-Based Education (OBE)-based curricula, particularly in aligning curriculum components while integrating Islamic values and global competencies. This study aims to evaluate the OBE-based curriculum of the Master’s Program in Islamic Religious Education at the Graduate School of UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung using the Integrative Alignment Model. The study employed a qualitative evaluative approach. Data were obtained from curriculum development guidelines, curriculum documents, Semester Learning Plans (SLPs), and the academic handbook, and were analyzed through descriptive-interpretive document analysis. The findings reveal that the curriculum generally reflects OBE principles and demonstrates structural alignment among its components. It also shows conceptual coherence between Islamic values and global competency demands. However, this integration remains largely administrative and has not yet developed into deep pedagogical and epistemological alignment. This study contributes to the evaluation of OBE curricula in Islamic higher education by strengthening the Integrative Alignment Model. The findings suggest that constructive alignment should extend beyond structural consistency to include the substantive integration of Islamic values and global competencies across the curriculum. Accordingly, the study advances the concept of constructive alignment from structural alignment toward value-based deep alignment that is pedagogical, epistemological, and integrative.
