Abstract

AbstractThe speech acts of a teacher in the learning process at school are one way of transferring knowledge to students. Besides, teachers should give students examples of how to speak politely, including learning Indonesian in the classroom, the directive politeness of speech is very important to highlight, thus became interesting to be the focus of research. This study aims to describe forms and contextual functions of the politeness of direct speech acts in the Indonesian language subject for seventh-grade at SMPN 2 Samalantan. The method used in this study was descriptive in the form of qualitative research. Research data were collected from teacher and class VII B students of SMPN 2 Samalantan. The data were in the form of speech acts of directive conversation, collected using observation, recording, and field notes techniques. Based on the analysis, the politeness forms of speech acts from the speaker and interlocutor include asking, commanding, inviting/persuading, advising, criticizing, and prohibiting. The results showed that the form of politeness of directive speech acts dominantly uttered in the learning activities was commanding.  Keywords: Contextual, Directive Speech Acts, Politeness

Abstract

AbstractThe trial is a process of examining and adjudicating led by judges. Implementation of the trial does not always run smoothly, often in conveying testimony in the hearing occours silence and slips of the tongue when producing an utterance. The study examines the silence and slips of the tongue in speech production found in the 14th Jessica Kumala Wongso. The method used in this research is descriptive with qualitative research form. The data source in this research is a video recording of the 14thsession Jessica Kumala wongso obtained through the youtube website. The research inventory data, which is divided into silent as much 70 times, the silence of the contents of the sound e… as much 80 times, silent content eh… as much 3 times, silent content em… as much 1 times, silent content a… as much 10 times, and silent content what as much 4 times, and progressive repetition silence 21 times, slips of the tongue as much 2 times that included in the fallacy of assembling. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis dan fungsi makna peristilahan tenun tradisional Melayu Sambas. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah tuturan Bahasa Melayu dialek Sambas (BMDS) yang dituturkan oleh penutur asli masyarakat desa Tumuk Manggis dan Sumber Harapan Kabupaten Sambas. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah kata-kata yang mengandung peristilahan tenun tradisional Melayu Sambas berupa alat, bahan, motif, dan hasil. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah teknik simak dan cakap yang memiliki teknik dasar berupa pemancingan terhadap narasumber yang merupakan penutur asli BMDS. Prosedur dan teknik analisis data berupa membaca kembali data yang sudah diklasifikasikan, menganalisis, mentranskripsikan, dan menginterpretasikan jenis makna serta fungsi makna, analisis data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan analisis data, terdapat 30 peristilahan tenun tradisional berupa alat, 7 peristilahan tenun tradisional berupa bahan, 25 peristilahan tenun tradisional berupa motif, dan 10 peristilahan tenun tradisional berupa hasil. Kata kunci: peristilahan tenun, bahasa Melayu Sambas, dan makna. Abstract. This study aimed to describe the types and functions of traditional Malay weaving terminology meaning Sambas. The method used is descriptive method with qualitative forms of research. Sources of data in this study are a Malay dialect speech Sambas (BMDS) are spoken by native speaker villagers Tumuk Mangosteen and Mineral Hope Sambas district. The data in this study are the word that is containing with terminology such as Sambas Malay tradisional weaving equipment, materials, motifs, and the result. Technique and data collection is a technique that has capably to see and basic techniques such as fishing for native speakers who are the BMDS. Procedures and data analysis techniques such as reading back the data that has been classified, analyze, transcribe, and interpret the meaning and function of the type of meaning, data analysis, and conclusion. Based on data analysis, there are 30 traditional weaving terminology such as tools, terminology 7 traditional form of weaving materials, the traditional form of weaving terminology 25 motifs, and traditional form of weaving terminology 10 results. Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk kohesi leksikal dalam  kolom “Opini” oleh Aswandi dalam surat kabar Pontianak Post edisi Juli—Desember 2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa bahasa dalam bentuk kata-kata yang ada dalam kolom “Opini” yang ditulis oleh Aswandi. Adapun sumber datanya adalah tulisan Aswandi yang dimuat dalam kolom “Opini” surat kabar Pontianak Post edisi Juli—Desember 2013. Penelitian ini menemukan adanya bentuk-bentuk kohesi leksikal dalam kolom “Opini” oleh Aswandi dalam surat kabar Pontianak Post edisi Juli—Desember 2013, berupa kesinoniman, keantoniman, kehiponiman, kemeroniman, keparoniman, kolokasi, dan repetisi, serta adanya kecenderungan penggunaan kata dalam bentuk kesinoniman dan kolokasi. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberi sumbangan ilmu pengetahuan khususnya tentang penggunaan kohesi leksikal sehingga dapat membentuk wacana yang padu dan utuh, serta dapat menjadi referensi bagi pembinaan dan pengembangan bahasa Indonesia dalam penulisan surat kabar. Kata Kunci: Kohesi Leksikal, Opini, Surat Kabar   Abstrack: This research aims to describe describe lexical cohesion form in “Opinion” column written by Aswandi in a newspaper named Pontianak Post edition July—December 2013. Researcher uses descriptive method with qualitative form. Data in this research are words in “Opinion” column written by Aswandi. Data source is Aswandi’s writing published in “Opinion” column in Pontianak Post edition July—December 2013. Researcher finds out that there are forms of lexical cohesion in “Opinion” column by Aswandi in Pontianak Post edition July—December 2013, i.e. synonym, antonym, hyponym, meronim, paronim, collocation, and repetition, with there are tendency to use words in synonym and collocation. Researcher expects that the result of this research may give contribution in knowledge in particular using lexical cohesion with the result that may whole and solid discourse form, and may be reference for development and construt of Indonesian language in process of writing newspaper. Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research was to describe floor patterns of Nyingal, describe the meaning of floor patterns of Nyingal dance, and the lesson plans. Due to this importance, descriptive method in form of qualitative through ethnography approach was necessary. The sources of data used were two interviewees with the technique of triangulation and lengthened observation. Gawia ritual was a ceremony held after rice-harvest. In the ritual of Gawia, there was a dance which the floor pattern has meaning. The floor pattern which had meaning in the ritual of Gawia namely, horse shoe floor pattern “U”, straight floor pattern, and round floor pattern. The meaning mentioned in horse shoe floor pattern “U” was that the soul of ancestors alive during the Gawia ceremony, the meaning which straight floor pattern brings was respecting to Topa (The God) and the soul of ancestors and the last was the meaning of straight floor pattern, namely asking for grace. The result of this research was expected to be implemented in a lesson plan in grade VIII on the floor pattern of Nyingal dance in Art and Culture subject. Keywords: Meaning, Floor Pattern, Nyingal Dance

Abstract

AbstractMetaphors in the Healing Mantra of North Kayong Malay Community. The research background was the curiosity of the researcher to discover the healing mantra from the North Kayong Malay community. .. This study aims to describe the metaphorical, function and methaphorical meaning in the north Kayong Malay healing mantra. . The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data source was a Dukun in Siduk Village. Based on the findings of the metaphorical analysis, there were forms of the human, animate, living, object, terrestrial, substance, energy, and being. The metaphors of healing mantra from the North Kayong Malay community performed: (1) informational function, (2) expressive function, (3) directive function, (4) aesthetic function, and (5) phatic function. The meanings of healing mantra in the North Kayong Malay community: (1) connotative meaning, (2) stylistic meaning, (3) effective meaning, (4) reflexive meaning, (5) collocative meaning, and (6) thematic meaning. This research was expected to be teaching material references for teachers in school lessons.        Keywords: Metaphor, Mantra, Healing.

Abstract

Abstrak: Permasalahan yang terjadi pada siswa kelas VII SMP Kristen Kanaan adalah kemampuan berpraktik tari yang rendah serta penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang kurang tepat, sehingga yang menjadi tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan psikomotor siswa dengan metode peer teaching. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif, dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Bentuk penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan  (action research) yang bersifat kolaboratif dengan mengikuti prosedur penelitian tindakan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Kemampuan psikomotor siswa yang meningkat adalah kemampuan praktik menari siswa, penilaian psikomotor terlihat dari komponen-komponen psikomotor yaitu, peniruan, manipulasi, ketepatan, artikulasi, pengalamiahan, peneliti dalam metode ini menggunakan teman sebaya yang menyebabkan siswa lain dapat belajar dengan nyaman, didampingi oleh tutor yang memiliki kemampuan lebih dalam menari. Penggunaan metode peer teaching dapat meningkatkan kemampuan psikomotor dan hasil belajar siswa dengan peningkatan antara siklus satu dan siklus dua sebesar 15,89 dan ketuntasan belajar sekitar 100%. Kata Kunci :psikomotor, tari pinggan,  Peer Teaching Abstract: The problems that occur to the seventh grade students of SMP Kristen Kanaan is the ability of dance practice which low and learning methods that used are inappropriate so that, the goal of this research is to improve students' psychomotor ability with peer teaching method. The method that used in this research was descriptive method with qualitative approach. The form of this research was action research which collaborative and follow action research procedure such as planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Students’ psychomotor that increase is dance practice ability, Psychomotor scoring is known by psychomotor components, there are manipulation, imitation, articulation, accuration and naturalization. In this method researcher used peer, it cause another students can learn comfortably accompanied by tutor who has ability in dance. Using peer teaching method could increase psychomotor ability and students learning outcomes with increased between cycle one and cycle two as big as 15,89 dan completeness of learning around 100%. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian terhadap tradisi masyarakat merupakan sebuah tindakan yang baik sebagai upaya menggali potensi lokal terhadap pemerkayaan bahasa daerah dan bahasa Indonesia, juga sebagai upaya pelestarian dan penginventarisasian peristilahan tradisi muar wanyek di Kabupaten Sambas, khususnya di Kecamatan Tangaran dan Teluk Keramat. Peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptif, bentuk penelitian kualitatif, dan menggunakan pendekatan etnolinguistik yang memandang hubungan bahasa dengan unsur budaya dalam masyarakat. Analisis yang dilakukan peneliti terhadap data yang dikumpulkan mencakup istilah alat, proses, dan mantra adalah analisis bentuk istilah, yaitu monomorfemis, polimorfemis, dan frasa. Peneliti juga melakukan analisis makna dalam tradisi muar wanyek secara leksikal dan kultural. Penelitian ini berhasil menghimpun 66 istilah sebagai data penelitian Hasil analisis keseluruhan data tersebut berupa 28 istilah berupa monomorfemis, 21 istilah berupa polimorfemis yang terdiri dari 9 afiksasi dan 12  komposisi, serta 17 istilah berupa frasa. Istilah-istilah tersebut secara keseluruhan memiliki makna leksikal dan makna kultural.   Kata Kunci: Muar Wanyek, etnolinguistik, Melayu Sambas Abstract: Research to society tradition is a great action  as effort to dig a local potency for enrichment of local language and Indonesian Language, and also this research as presevartion effort and inventory the muar wanyek terminology in Sambas, especially in Tangaran and Teluk Keramat sub-district. Researcher using descriptive method, qualitative research method, and using ethnolinguistics approach which seeing the relation from language element and culture in society. Analysis conducted by researcher towards the collected data is the terms of tools, process, and spells is analyisis the shape of term, namely monomorphemic, polymorphemic, and phrase. Researcher also analyzing terms of meaning of the muar wanyek tradition in lexical and cultural. This research succed collecting 66 terms as research data. The result of whole data is 28 terms such as monomorphemic, 21 terms such as polymorphemic that consists of 9 affixation and 12 composition, and 17 such as phrase. Abstract

AbstractThis research was focused on the reduplication of the Madurese language in the Sungai Enau village which was used by the Sungai Enau village community to communicate in everyday life. The purpose of this study was to describe the form of reduplication, describe the meaning of reduplication, and describe linguistic elements of reduplication in narrative text as a text-based learning model.  This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative form. Sources of data in this study are speeches delivered by informants in Madura language in Sungai Enau Village. The techniques used are interview techniques, fishing techniques, and follow up techniques and techniques. Data collection tools in the form of interview instruments, image lists, and voice recording devices. Based on the results of data analysis on the word repeat of the Madurese language in Sungai Enau Village, this study collected three forms of repetitive words, namely repeated words, affixed repeated words, and the word repeat changed sound. Abstract

Abstract: Pragmatics as one of the branches of the study of linguistics or linguistics has an important role in understanding the meaning of language. Because pragmatics relate the speech spoken by the participant to speak in the context of the situation, place, and time. Because of that pragmatics are needed in everyday conversation. One of the pragmatic branches is presupposition or presupposition. Presuppositions or presuppositions in conversations function to identify hidden information in a speech. Presuppositions consist of factual, non-active, lexical, structural, non-factive, and counterfactual presuppositions. Serves to examine the deeper meaning of speech from speech partners so that hidden information is obtained from speech. Presuppositions can be found in conversations between participants in the conversation. The novel is a literary work that uses conversation as a driver of the storyline that has many conversations. In the conversation, of course, a variety of information will be discovered by speakers to the speech partners. From these utterances, not all utterances will contain presuppositions. So it needs an in-depth analysis in accordance with the theory of presuppositions to determine whether the speech contains presuppositions or not.  Keywords: presuppositions, conversations, participants, information
