Abstract

Backgroound : The importance of knowledge and family support of outpatient pulmonary TB patiens during treatment as part of the disease healing process.The purpose: This study aims to determine the relatonship between knowledge and family support with outpaient care of pulmonary TB patients. The study: The research design in this study is a quantitative method using a Cross Sectional design, the sample in this study were outpatient pulmonary TB patients at the Oesapa Health Center, Kupang City totaling 50 people who were obtained by simple random sampling technique according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The Results: The results showed that most of the knowledgee of respondents with pulmonary TB at the Oesapa Health Center in Kupang City was in the good category, namely 42 respndent (84,0%), family support was in the good category, namely 42 respondents (84,0 %) and most of them carried out pulmonary TB treatment. The good ones are 39 respondents (78,0%). The conclusion: There is significant relationship between knowledge and family support with pulmonary TB care with a p value= 0,00< 0,05 and family support with a p value of 0,03 < 0,05. Suggestions: The importance of maintaining the level of knowledge and support of the patient’s family to remain good and for the level knowledge and support of the family that is lacking so that i can be increased by providing information about pulmonary TB.

Abstract

Curriculum is an essential component of the education system, as the two are closely interconnected. Analogously, the curriculum can be likened to the heart in the human body. When the heart functions well, the entire body system will operate optimally. Similarly, if the curriculum is effectively implemented and supported by well-functioning elements, the learning process will run smoothly, producing high-quality learners. The purpose of this study is to evaluate how educational technology contributes to the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. This qualitative research uses a literature study, also known as a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), aimed at comparing current theories with those discussed in previous research literature. The literature sources referenced come from research findings and studies published in scientific articles, accessed through electronic literature search engines such as Mendeley and Google Scholar. The results of this study show that educational technology plays a crucial role in supporting the Merdeka Curriculum, as well as having a positive impact on the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar concept in practice. The continuously evolving Merdeka Curriculum helps facilitate the integration of the latest information technology for students.

Abstract

One of the tools that can help students learn better is learning media. This study aims to determine how the use of learning media affects students' mathematics learning outcomes. The data used in this research were collected from relevant journals. This study employed the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. Researchers utilized the Google Scholar database and the Publish or Perish application to gather nationally accredited journal articles from Sinta 1 to 4. The results indicate that the use of learning media in mathematics instruction has a significant impact on students' interest, motivation, and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Indonesia has a tropical climate is rich in flora diversity. Many medicinal plants, including the Kepel (Stelechocarpus burahol), are herbal medicines. Kepel Fruit (Stelechocarpus burahol) contains secondary metabolites of alkaloids, flavonoids, polyphenols, saponins, triterpenoids and quinones. Some of these compounds have anti-fertility properties. Antifertility compounds are compounds that can prevent fertility by interfering with several normal reproductive mechanisms, both in men and women. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Kepel fruit extract on the growth and development of secondary spermatocytes in mice (Mouse muscle). This research uses true experiments and Posttest-Only Control with a quantitative approach. The samples used for this research design, both experimental and controlled, were taken randomly. Testing the significance of the treatment effect uses parametric statistics, namely the One-Way ANOVA test at a significance level of 5% (α = 0.05). Then, if there are differences, continue with the LSD further test (Least Significant Difference) at a significance level of 5% (α = 0.05). This research design used a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with a total sample of 32 mice (Mouse muscle) with 8 repetitions and 3 treatment groups. The growth and development of secondary spermatocytes in mice are determined by counting the number of secondary spermatocytes in the seminiferous tubules of mouse testicular incisions. The results of the one-way Anova test show that the calculated F is 6.41, and the value is sig. (P.Value) of 0.002, these results suggest  P.Value (0.002) < the α value (0.05), which means that the number of secondary spermatocytes is significantly different in each group so that this study can conclude that the administration of Kepel fruit extract (Stelechocarpus burahol) can significantly reduce the number of growth and development of mouse secondary spermatocytes (Mouse muscle ).

Abstract

This research aims to determine metacognitive awareness and learning outcomes through the search, solve, create and share (SSCS) learning model. This research was conducted on second-semester Biology Education Study Program students who took the Introduction to Education course. Metacognitive awareness data was collected using a modified questionnaire from the Metacognitive Awareness Inventory, then analysed qualitatively with four categories from not yet developed to very well developed. Learning outcome data is collected through tests and then analysed qualitatively, using five categories: very poor to very good. The metacognitive awareness results were dominated by students in the very well-developed category, as many as 48 people (96%), while the learning outcomes were dominated by students in the good category, as many as 24 people (48%). In conclusion, through the SSCS learning model, students can: (1). Manage their cognitive abilities and overcome their shortcomings very well; (2). Building independence, critical thinking, creativity, and self-confidence improves learning outcomes.

Abstract

Dalam artikel ini dijelaskan mengenai pengaruh penggunaan Model discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMA Dr. Soetomo dalam menulis teks anekdot. Metode penelitian dalam artikel ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas X SMA Dr. Soetomo dan sampelnya kelas X3 sebagai kelas kontrol dan X7 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang masing-masing terdiri dari 32 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan dua jenis data yakni data primer dan data sekunder. Untuk pengumpulan datanya, menggunakan teknik observasi, teknik tes, teknik dokumentasi dan teknik Pustaka. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan berupa uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian pada artikel ini adalah hasil tes kemampuan awal membuktikan bahwa 14 orang siswa atau 44 % dan 18 orang siswa lainnya atau 56 % dinyatakan tidak tuntas dan setelah diberikan perlakuan Hasil tes kemampuan akhir membuktikan bahwa ketuntasan siswa meningkat sebesar 31,25 % yaitu dari 14 menjadi 24 orang siswa atau 75 % dan 8 orang siswa lainnya atau 25 % dinyatakan tidak tuntas.Kata Kunci: Discovery Learning, Teks Anekdot, Hasil Belajar Siswa

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore how game-based learning impacts the learning motivation of Grade V students at UPTD SDN Pendabah 3. A literature review method was employed to analyze relevant academic sources. The results indicate that game-based learning, through challenges and rewards, can enhance students' intrinsic motivation. This study concludes that game-based learning has significant potential as an innovative teaching strategy, despite certain challenges in its implementation, such as costs and teacher training.

Abstract

The study, titled "The Influence of the Structural Analytic Synthetic (SAS) Method on Improving Early Reading Skills," examines the factors that contribute to students' reading difficulties, including (1) lack of knowledge about letters and (2) inability to understand the meaning of sentences being read. Therefore, the researcher implemented the SAS method as a strategy for early reading instruction. This research employed a quantitative experimental method to improve the reading abilities of first-grade students at SDN Gili Anyar. The study adopted a one-group pre-experimental design, consisting of pre-test and post-test phases. A quota sampling technique was used to select 22 first-grade students as participants. Data were collected through tests and observations, and a z-test was employed to assess the differences in mean scores before and after the intervention. The findings are as follows: 1) The average reading ability of the students before the intervention (pre-test) was 81.37, categorized as sufficient. 2)After the intervention (post-test), the average score improved to 91.17, categorized as very good. 3)The study concludes that the hypothesis (H1) is accepted, indicating that the SAS method effectively enhances the reading skills of first-grade students at SDN Gili Anyar.

Abstract

Fermentation in coffee provides new modulation to the taste and sensory profile of coffee, thereby enhancing its flavor quality. Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB) strains are used for fermentation in the wet process and have been proven to improve the overall flavor of the coffee. Therefore, in this study, coffee fermentation will be carried out using Lactococcus lactis subsp. to improve coffee flavor quality. The study begins with preparing the starter medium, starter culture, and fermentation. Subsequently, proximate analysis and a cupping test are conducted to assess the flavor profile of the coffee. The results of this study show that coffee fermentation can increase the number of LAB with longer fermentation times. Furthermore, proximate results indicate that fermented Robusta coffee contains 7.86% less fat compared to non-fermented Robusta coffee, which has 15.02% fat. The cupping test results for fermented Robusta coffee reveal a total score of 81, with the clean cup and uniformity aspects scoring 10. This total is higher than that of non-fermented Robusta coffee, thus proving that fermentation using Lactococcus lactis subsp. can improve coffee flavor quality.

Abstract

Balongmojo Village is an entrepreneurial village in Mojokerto that has great potential in the livestock sector, especially catfish cultivation. The community service carried out aims to increase the productivity and sustainability of fisheries businesses in the village through the application of simple and environmentally friendly technology. Community service activities carried out include: (1) development of alternative feed based on agricultural waste (tofu dregs) for catfish; (2) making probiotics to improve catfish health; (3) managing catfish pond waste into liquid fertilizer; and (4) implementing an IoT-based automatic feeding system. The results of the study showed that the application of this technology was able to improve the quality of pond water and the growth of catfish. In addition, the use of organic waste also contributes to increasing soil fertility and reducing environmental pollution. Overall, this community service program has had a positive impact on improving the welfare of the Balongmojo Village community through increasing income, improving the environment, and developing community capacity in adopting modern technology.
