Abstract

The regulation in Law Number 5 Year 1999 on the Prohibition of Monopolistic Practices and Unfair Business Competition broadly addresses prohibited agreements, activities, and dominant positions. This study uses a normative juridical research method with the aim of analyzing the closed agreements made by PT Forisa Nusapersada based on Law No. 5 of 1999, Commission Regulation No. 3 of 2009, and Commission Regulation No. 6 of 2010. The research specifically focuses on the abuse of the dominant position through the "Pop Ice The Real Ice Blender" program, which is alleged to have limited market competition and harmed consumer choice. The findings indicate that PT Forisa Nusapersada’s actions constitute an abuse of its dominant position, as it used its market share of 90.09% to 92.16% to monopolize the market by limiting competitors' ability to sell similar products and forcing retailers to display Pop Ice products exclusively. This violation is supported by the findings in KPPU Decision Number 14/KPPU-L/2015, which continued until the Supreme Court Decision Number: 1106 K/Pdt.Sus-KPPU/2017. The research concludes that such strategies violate the provisions of Article 25 paragraph (1) of Law No. 5 of 1999 by unfairly restricting market access and consumer choice, thus undermining fair competition.

Abstract

Naive Bayes classification, grounded in Bayes' theorem, is a well-established probabilistic and statistical method. However, it often faces challenges when dealing with datasets that have skewed class distributions. A common issue with unbalanced data is that the classifier tends to predict the majority class more accurately, leading to high accuracy for the majority class but low accuracy for the minority class. Resampling techniques such as oversampling, undersampling, or a combination of both can be employed to address this. This research introduces a novel approach to balancing training data using a hybrid method that combines SMOTE (Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique) and Tomek Links by applying this method to tuberculosis (TB) diagnosis data from Mayjend HM Ryacudu Kotabumi Hospital. We evaluate the Naive Bayes classifier's performance on the original and newly balanced data.  We used 826 patient data for training and 207 for testing out of 1,033. Of the 826 records in the training dataset, 306 patients had a TB diagnosis, whereas 520 patients did not. To achieve a better balance between the majority and minority classes, we oversampled 214 data in the minority class to match the number in the majority class. If necessary, we also reduce 214 data from the majority class. The results demonstrate that this hybrid approach significantly enhances the performance of the Naive Bayes model in terms of data balancing and overall accuracy. Specifically, the hybrid method achieves an average specificity of 96%, sensitivity of 88%, false positive fraction (FPF) of 4%, and false negative fraction (FNF) of 12%. These findings highlight the effectiveness of combining SMOTE and Tomek Links, providing a robust solution for improving classification performance in unbalanced datasets. Keywords: Naive Bayes classification; SMOTE; Tomek Links; SMOTE+Tomek Links; tuberculosis. 2020MSC: 68T05, 62R07.

Abstract

This study employs advanced sentiment analysis techniques to enhance the understanding of drug reviews, with a specific focus on TextBlob-based sentiment classification. As the accessibility of health products through pharmacies and online platforms continues to increase, individuals with limited health literacy are increasingly relying on user-generated feedback to inform their decision-making. By utilizing the TextBlob labelling method, this research categorizes user sentiments into positive, neutral, or negative, addressing the limitations inherent in traditional sentiment analysis approaches. The analysis is supported by an innovative model known as BERT, which effectively captures the emotional expression within textual data. The results indicate that the proposed approach consistently achieves an accuracy of 98% across training, validation, and testing phases, highlighting its strong performance in sentiment classification. This accomplishment underscores TextBlob’s ability to consistently and reliably assess user sentiment, thereby enriching the understanding of consumer perspectives in the pharmaceutical industry. The findings highlight the importance of effective sentiment analysis methods in healthcare, offering valuable insights for both consumers and stakeholders. Moreover, this study provides a foundation for future investigations focused on improving sentiment analysis methods across varied datasets, which will enhance the precision and applicability of classification results in different scenarios.

Abstract

Kata kunci: Lagu Konsep, Bilangan, Kognitif AnakABSTRACTIntroducing number concepts at an early age plays a critical role in supporting children's cognitive development, particularly in symbolic thinking. However, effectively delivering abstract concepts such as numbers to young children remains a challenge. Therefore, engaging and developmentally appropriate instructional media are essential. One promising approach is the use of concept songs—children’s songs with lyrics modified to incorporate learning content related to numbers. This study aims to describe the implementation of concept songs in introducing numbers 11–20 and to analyze their impact on the cognitive development of early childhood learners, particularly in fostering symbolic thinking. The study employed a qualitative case study method involving 13 kindergarten B students at TK BOPKRI Gondolayu, Yogyakarta. Data were collected through participatory observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using descriptive techniques. The findings revealed that the use of concept songs fostered a joyful learning atmosphere and enhanced children's active engagement through auditory, visual, and kinesthetic modalities. Children demonstrated improvement in recognizing, verbalizing, and associating numeric symbols with concrete quantities. Nevertheless, some errors were still observed in identifying number sequences and matching quantities, along with technical issues such as vocal discomfort due to high pitch and inappropriate tempo in the accompanying music. In conclusion, concept songs positively stimulate the development of symbolic thinking in early childhood, although musical adjustments are needed to optimize their effectiveness in supporting the learning process Keywords: Concept Song, Number Recognition, Cognitive Development

Abstract

This study aims to demonstrate the effectiveness of implementing the pictoword game on students' vocabulary achievement in seventh graders at MTs Negeri 1 Sragen. The author used a quantitative research method with a quasi-experimental design. The author took student samples through purposive sampling. The pre-test results showed that the experimental group scored lower than the control group. The average pre-test score in the experimental group was 61.36 and the average pre-test of the control group was 65.60. The two groups were given pre-tests at the same time. The experimental group received four sessions of treatment while learning vocabulary using the Pictoword game. The control group learned vocabulary only through conventional learning. To determine whether the experimental group improved their vocabulary achievement, the authors conducted a post-test. The authors used the IBM SPSS Statistics Base 22.0 program to calculate all data in this study. The results of this study showed that the experimental group's average score increased to 86.33, while the control group's average post-test score was 84.77. Only the experimental group improved their vocabulary achievement because they were treated with four tests using the Pictoword Game. Hypothesis analysis also determined that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted, meaning there was a significant effect in implementing the pictoword game on students' vocabulary achievement. This study can be concluded that using the pictoword game can help students learn vocabulary more easily but in a fun way, stimulate students to learn more actively, and also improve students' vocabulary achievement.
