Abstract

Talent management has attracted substantial attention from industry and academia worldwide. In Indonesia, implementing talent management in the business sector has expanded with business and economic growth. Various organisations, both multinational companies and local companies, have adopted the concept of talent management as part of their human resources management strategy. However, despite this trend, many organisations in Indonesia have yet to embrace talent management fully. This article explores the phenomenon of talent management in Indonesia through a systematic literature review (SLR) approach. A total of 29 articles discussing talent management in Indonesia were examined. It is evident that while talent management is gaining traction in Indonesia, especially compared to neighbouring countries, significant gaps in the discourse surrounding this phenomenon exist in both the public and private sectors

Abstract

Pollewani Village is one of the areas in Tutar District, Polewali Mandar Regency, which has the largest and most remote administrative area in the regency, and therefore receives less attention from the regency government. This area has significant potential for dryland rice, with productivity reaching 3.97 tons per hectare in 2023. However, this yield is still much lower than that of wetland rice, corn, and cassava in the area. One solution to this problem is technological innovation, primarily through farmer training and the provision of modern facilities and infrastructure. By improving farmers' skills in dryland rice cultivation and introducing new superior varieties of rice seeds (Inpari-32), it is hoped that this will support the rate of increase in upland rice production in Pollewani Village. The implementation method includes providing interactive materials, practice in demonstration plots, and evaluation using questionnaires. The results indicate that this activity can increase farmers' knowledge, as evidenced by an increase in participants' average score from 33.33 to 70.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of economic growth, income, and employment on welfare in Indonesia in 2023. The research is motivated by the mismatch between increasing economic growth and equitable distribution of welfare, as well as inconsistencies in previous research findings regarding the effects of macroeconomic variables on welfare. A quantitative methodology is employed in this study, using secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). The population consists of 34 provinces in Indonesia in the 2023 period. Multiple linear regression is employed as the analytical method to evaluate the research hypotheses. The results show that simultaneously, economic growth, income, and employment have a positive and significant effect on welfare in Indonesia in 2023. Partially, economic growth has a negative and insignificant effect on welfare in Indonesia in 2023. Income has a positive but insignificant effect on welfare in Indonesia in 2023. On the other hand, employment has a positive and significant effect on welfare in Indonesia in 2023. These findings indicate that improvements in public welfare are more influenced by employment stability and productivity rather than economic growth and income, as the distribution of the latter is not necessarily equitable.

Abstract

Lumbricus rubellus, commonly known as the red earthworm, has long been used in traditional medicine and contains diverse bioactive compounds with therapeutic potential. However, comprehensive and systematic evaluation of its pharmacological mechanisms remains limited. This review systematically analyzes the pharmacological activities of L. rubellus based on in vivo and clinical trial evidence to provide an integrated scientific understanding of its therapeutic potential. A systematic literature search was performed in PubMed, ScienceDirect, Wiley Online Library, Cochrane Library, and Google Scholar for studies published between 2013 and 2022. The review followed PRISMA 2020 guidelines, applying the PICOS framework for eligibility determination. Study quality was assessed using the ARRIVE checklist for in vivo studies and the JADAD scale for clinical trials. Twelve studies met the inclusion criteria, comprising nine in vivo and three clinical trials. Lumbricus rubellus demonstrated multiple pharmacological effects, including fibrinolytic, antibacterial, hepatoprotective, neuroprotective, and anticancer activities. These effects are mainly attributed to proteins such as lumbrokinase and coelomic fluid metabolites that exhibit antithrombotic, anti-inflammatory, and cytoprotective actions. This review highlights strong evidence supporting the diverse pharmacological activities of L. rubellus and its potential as a natural source for developing novel therapeutic agents. Further standardized clinical investigations are required to confirm its efficacy and safety.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of political risk and economic stability on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflows in six ASEAN countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam) during the period 2013–2023. A quantitative approach with a panel data regression method was employed, where the dependent variable is FDI inflows (in million USD), while the independent variables consist of control of corruption as an indicator of political risk, and GDP and inflation as indicators of economic stability. Data were obtained from the World Bank, IMF, and Worldwide Governance Indicators (WGI). The regression model was selected based on the Chow and Hausman tests, and the analysis was conducted using EViews software. The results show that control of corruption has a positive and significant effect on FDI, emphasizing the importance of good governance and anti-corruption efforts in building investor confidence. GDP also has a positive and significant effect on FDI, reflecting the role of strong economic growth as a major attraction for foreign investors. Meanwhile, inflation has no significant effect on FDI, indicating that investors tend to prioritize factors such as policy stability, infrastructure quality, and institutional effectiveness over short-term price fluctuations. From a policy perspective, the findings suggest that ASEAN countries should strengthen governance quality and foster a transparent investment environment free from corruption to enhance foreign capital inflows. In addition, governments need to maintain macroeconomic stability through effective fiscal and monetary coordination while improving infrastructure and human capital development to attract sustainable long-term investments.

Abstract

Indonesia’s sharia capital market, represented by the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI), has shown rapid growth; however, sharia stock portfolio diversification practices and the use of financial ratios for profit optimization have not yet been applied systematically by investors. This study aims to thematically analyze various sharia stock portfolio diversification strategies and to explain the role of financial ratios in shaping an optimal portfolio based on issuers included in the ISSI. The method employed is a qualitative approach with a conceptual study design, using content analysis and thematic coding of secondary data sources, including journal articles, Islamic investment management books, Financial Services Authority (OJK) regulations, DSN MUI fatwas relevant to the sharia capital market, and official reports and documents related to the ISSI. The analysis identifies several main themes: diversification strategies based on sector and market capitalization, cross-instrument diversification within sharia assets, and strengthened risk management through stock selection grounded in profitability, leverage, liquidity, and valuation ratios. These findings indicate that integrating portfolio diversification strategies with the appropriate use of financial ratios has the potential to enhance returns on sharia stock portfolios while keeping risk within acceptable limits, thereby offering a conceptual contribution to the development of ISSI based sharia investment strategies.

Abstract

The transition into Society 5.0 necessitates educational assessment models that are not only technologically advanced but also culturally meaningful. This study developed and tested an integrated learning assessment model for the Society 5.0, synergizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) for cognitive-psychomotor evaluation with teacher-based affective assessment grounded in Sipaq’ Mandar local values. Employing an explanatory sequential mixed -methods design, the research involved 300 junior high school students and 60 teachers in Majene Regency, West Sulawesi. Quantitative data were collected through pre-post tests and questionnaires, while qualitative data were gathered via interviews, FGDs, and observation. Result demonstrated a statistically significant improvement in cognitive-psychomotor achievement, with an average score increase of 11.7 points (p < .001, Cohen’s d = 1.12). The Sipaq’ Mandar values (siri’, siarondoi, sipakalaq’bi, makkeada, dipokannyang) were successfully operationalized into a valid and reliable affective assessment rubric. The resulting SIAMASEI-AI model was deemed highly feasible (M=4.43/5) and contributed 71.2% to holistic assessment affectiveness. The study concludes that the integration of AI with culturally contextual affective assessment offers a viable, balanced, and humanized evaluation framework, addressing both the technological demands and the character-building imperative of modern education.

Using a Community Based Research (CBR) approach, this activity was implemented through needs mapping, outreach, training in Islamic financial literacy and inclusion, and mentoring in the practical use of digital Islamic financial applications. The results of the Community Service program and post-activity evaluations showed an increase in participants' understanding of Islamic financial principles, the differences between conventional and Islamic finance, knowledge of digital financial products, and community enthusiasm in registering for digital financial applications. Despite the positive community response, inadequate internet infrastructure remained an issue. Furthermore, there were challenges, particularly for elderly and female participants, in adapting to technology. Other field findings emphasized the importance of the local community as a key driver in disseminating knowledge about Islamic finance sustainably at the community level. The program recommends strengthening multi-stakeholder collaboration, improving digital infrastructure, and further training to support sustainability. Overall, this model has the potential to be replicated in other villages. Keywords:  islamic financial literacy; islamic financial inclusion; economic empowerment.

Abstract

This study explores the dynamic interactions between Bitcoin (BTC), the Dow Jones Islamic Market Index (DJIMI), and the FTSE SGX Shariah 100 Index (FTSGS100) from 2015 to 2025, employing the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) to analyze both short- and long-term relationships. The Johansen cointegration test indicates a long-term equilibrium among the three variables, with DJIMI showing a stronger connection to Bitcoin compared to FTSGS100. In the short run, Bitcoin exhibits a strong response to its own shocks, whereas the Sharia indices are more stable and less responsive to short-term fluctuations in Bitcoin’s volatility. The findings underscore the weak integration between global Sharia equity markets and digital assets, positioning Bitcoin as a speculative asset largely independent of Sharia-compliant markets. These results suggest the importance of enhanced risk management and portfolio diversification strategies for investors navigating the rapidly changing financial landscape. Additionally, this research enhances our understanding of the interactions between cryptocurrency markets and traditional financial markets, particularly Sharia-compliant indices, during times of global financial uncertainty.
