Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of smartphones in society and its impact on daily life. In today's digital era, smartphones have become an integral part of people's lives, affecting various aspects such as communication, entertainment, education, and work. The method used in this study was a survey and interviews with a sample of families living in Rumengkor Village. The results showed that smartphone use has increased rapidly, with most respondents using smartphones for household needs. People tend to use smartphones for communication and information access purposes, but there are also negative impacts, such as addiction, sleep disorders, and decreased face-to-face social interaction. This study also found that there were good benefits in using smartphones, especially in the Rumengkor village area. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan smartphone pada masyarakat dan dampaknya terhadap kehidupan sehari-hari. Dalam era digital saat ini, smartphone telah menjadi bagian integral dari kehidupan masyarakat, memengaruhi berbagai aspek seperti komunikasi, hiburan, pendidikan, dan pekerjaan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survei dan wawancara dengan sampel keluarga yang tinggal di Desa Rumengkor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan smartphone meningkat pesat, dengan sebagian besar responden menggunakannya smartphone untuk kebutuhan rumah tangga, Masyarakat cenderung menggunakan smartphone untuk tujuan komunikasi dan akses informasi, namun terdapat pula dampak negatif, seperti kecanduan, gangguan tidur, dan penurunan interaksi sosial tatap muka. Penelitian ini juga menemukan adanya manfaat yang baik dalam penggunaan smartphone khsusnya di wilyah desa Rumengkor. Kata kunci: Penggunaan, Smartphone, Masyarakat Desa

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the perceptions of teachers in the implementation of the independent learning curriculum at SMP Katolik Santu Petrus Tumaluntung and the factors that hinder the implementation of the independent learning curriculum at SMP Katolik Santu Petrus Tumaluntung. The research method used in this study is qualitative research with data collection techniques through observation, documentation, and interviews. The data sources are the principal and teachers at SMP Katolik Santu Petrus Tumaluntung. The results of the study indicate that the perceptions of teachers in the implementation of the independent learning curriculum at SMP Katolik Santu Petrus Tumaluntung obtained positive conclusions because the teachers at SMP Katolik Santu Petrus Tumaluntung were able to implement the independent learning curriculum and were able to adapt to the independent learning curriculum. In addition, the perceptions of teachers at SMP Katolik Santu Petrus Tumaluntung have several indicators in the implementation of the independent learning curriculum, including: teacher perceptions of learning planning, learning implementation, assessment techniques in the independent learning curriculum and factors that hinder the implementation of the independent learning curriculum are the quality of human resources that are less than optimal, lack of teacher readiness in implementing the independent learning curriculum and the lack of training that can be followed by teachers Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis tentang persepsi guru dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka belajar di SMP Katolik Santu Petrus Tumaluntung dan faktor-faktor yang menghambat implementasi kurikulum merdeka belajar di SMP Katolik Santu Petrus Tumaluntung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Sumber data adalah kepala sekolah dan guru di SMP Katolik Santu Petrus Tumaluntung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Persepsi guru dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka belajar di SMP Katolik Santu Petrus Tumaluntung didapatkan kesimpulan yang positif karena guru yang ada di SMP Katolik Santu Petrus Tumaluntung mampu menerapkan kurikulum merdeka belajar dan mampu menyesuaikan diri dengan kurikulum merdeka belajar. Selain itu juga persepsi guru di SMP Katolik Santu Petrus Tumaluntung memiliki beberapa indikator dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka belajar antara lain: persepsi guru terhadap perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, teknik penilaian pada kurikulum merdeka belajar dan faktor–faktor yang menghambat dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka belajar adalah mutu sumber daya manusia yang kurang maksimal, kurangnya kesiapan guru dalam implemetasi kurikulum merdeka belajar dan masih kurangnya pelatihan yang dapat diikuti oleh guru. Abstract

This research examines the shift of Mapalus cultural values in the life of the people of Kauditan 1 Village, North Minahasa Regency. The focus of the research includes identification of Mapalus values, analysis of its shift, and efforts to preserve it. Qualitative research method with the determination of research subjects by purposive method. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, documentation using qualitative analysis according to Milles and Hubberman. The research results are as follows: 1) The types of Mapalus activities that exist in the life of the Kauditan 1 Village community, namely: Mapalus activities in farming, Mapalus activities in social life: helping when there is a natural disaster, death, or accident, Mapalus activities in building houses, repairing roofs, digging wells, Mapalus activities in terms of parties, such as weddings, circumcisions, and Mapalus activities to make irrigation, bridges, and build or repair roads. 2) Mapalus culture that is considered important in the life of the community, namely: Mapalus farming, Mapalus culture in social activities such as death, marriage, and repairing public facilities or what is known as social service. 3) Shifts or changes in cultural values in Mapalus activities, namely Changes in Mapalus work replaced with money (paying services and wages), The existence of organic solidarity, which considers hiring labour more practical, The fading of the value of togetherness in society, and Changes in social behaviour, and 4) Efforts to preserve cultural values in Mapalus or mapalus activities in community life, namely: as follows: a) Providing learning mapalus values to the general public, b) Socialisation process to the community about the values of togetherness, c) Strengthening existing Mapalus or mapalus activities, and d) Reviving Mapalus or mapalus activities. Abstrak: Penelitian ini mengkaji pergeseran nilai-nilai budaya mapalus dalam kehidupan masyarakat Desa Kauditan 1 Kabupaten Minahasa Utara. Fokus penelitian meliputi identifikasi nilai-nilai Mapalus, analisis pergeserannya, dan upaya pelestariannya. Metode penelitian kualitatif dengan penentuan subyek penelitian dengan cara pusposive. Teknik pengumpulan data yakni observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi menggunakan analisis kualitatif menurut Milles dan Hubberman. Hasil penelitian sebagai berikut: 1) Jenis-jenis kegiatan mapalus yang ada dalam kehidupan masyarakat desa kauditan 1, yakni: kegiatan mapalus dalam bercocok tanam, kegiatan mapalus dalam kehidupan sosial: membantu saat ada bencana alam, kematian, atau kecelakaan, kegiatan mapalus dalam membangun rumah, memperbaiki atap, menggali sumur, kegiatan mapalus dalam hal pesta, seperti pernikahan, khitanan, dan kegiatan mapalus membuat irigasi, jembatan, dan membangun ataupun memperbaiki jalan. 2) Budaya mapalus yang dianggap penting dalam kehidupan masyarakat yakni: mapalus bercocok tanam, budaya mapalus dalam kegiatan sosial seperti kematian, pernikahan, dan memperbaiki fasilitas umum atau yang dikenal dengan kerja bakti sosial. 3) Pergeseran atau perubahan nilai-nilai budaya dalam kegiatan mapalus yakni terjadi perubahan kerja mapalus diganti dengan uang (membayar jasa dan upah), adanya solidaritas organik, yang menganggap sewa buruh lebih praktis, lunturnya nilai kebersamaan dalam masyarakat, dan perubahan perilaku sosial, dan 4) Usaha melestarikan nilai- nilai budaya dalam kegiatan mapalus atau mapalus dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat yakni: a) Pemberian pembelajaran nilai-nilai mapalus pada masyarakat umum, b) Proses sosialisasi kepada masyarakat tentang nilai-nilai kebersamaan, c) Penguatan kegiatan mapalus atau mapalus yang ada, dan d) menghidupkan kegiatan mapalus atau mapalus. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi persepsi masyarakat Desa Beringin, Kecamatan Ranoyapo, Kabupaten Minahasa Selatan terhadap politik dan demokrasi dalam konteks Pemilu 2024. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode wawancara semi-terstruktur dan observasi partisipan. Sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling untuk memastikan representasi berbagai kelompok dalam masyarakat. Temuan menunjukkan adanya sikap skeptis terhadap janji politik yang berlebihan, namun juga kesiapan menerima hasil pemilihan. Masyarakat menunjukkan kapasitas kritis dalam mengevaluasi program kampanye, dengan faktor religius dan nilai lokal masih berpengaruh signifikan. Terdapat potensi pasivitas dalam pengawasan pemerintah pasca pemilihan, mengindikasikan perlunya strategi untuk meningkatkan partisipasi aktif masyarakat dalam proses demokrasi secara berkelanjutan

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji bagaimana strategi masyarakat pemilik usaha warung dalam menghadapi tantangan digitalisasi (shopee, lazada, bukalapak, dan lainnya) di Taratara. Metode penelitian kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk menghasilkan gambaran yang menyeluruh, faktual, dan akurat dengan metode pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Menurut temuan studi lapangan, pemilik usaha warung di Taratara menunjukkan kesadaran dan sikap adaptif terhadap tantangan digitalisasi. Mereka mengakui dampak negatif e-commerce pada pelanggan konvensional, namun juga melihat peluang dalam perubahan ini. Strategi mereka melibatkan pendekatan hibrida: mempelajari dan mengadopsi teknologi digital seperti marketplace dan aplikasi e-commerce, sambil tetap mempertahankan layanan tradisional untuk segmen pelanggan tertentu. Para pemilik warung ini menunjukkan keterbukaan untuk belajar dan beradaptasi, dengan tujuan menjaga relevansi bisnis mereka di era digital tanpa meninggalkan sepenuhnya model bisnis konvensional yang masih bermanfaat bagi sebagian pelanggan.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the flexing phenomenon on social media, exploring its position between financial education and ostentatious displays of wealth, with a focus on its implications in criminal law aspects in Indonesia. The research employed a qualitative methodology, utilizing interviews with key stakeholders, focus group discussions, analysis of social media content, and a comprehensive literature review. Additionally, the study incorporated comparative analysis with other Southeast Asian countries to provide regional context. The results reveal a complex interplay of social, legal, and educational factors surrounding the flexing phenomenon. Key findings include: (1) a significant divergence in perceptions of flexing among different stakeholders, with influencers viewing it as inspirational while legal experts express concerns about potential legal scrutiny; (2) the effectiveness of flexing as an educational tool when balancing success stories with practical financial advice; (3) a notable knowledge gap among social media users regarding the legal implications of their online behavior; (4) growing concerns about the use of social media evidence in financial crime investigations; (5) the emergence of "aspirational flexing" among younger users, raising ethical and potential legal issues; and (6) a shift in public perceptions of wealth and success due to constant exposure to luxury displays on social media. The study concludes that while flexing can serve as a powerful educational tool, it also presents significant legal risks and societal challenges that require a balanced approach to address effectively

Abstract

This study explores the management of cross-cultural research projects in education, focusing on bridging sociological perspectives and methodological approaches. It aims to address the challenges and potential applications of cross-cultural research to promote inclusive education in diverse cultural settings. The study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method, analyzing data from journals, books, and policy documents published between 2015 and 2022. Findings reveal three key aspects: the significance of sociological perspectives in understanding cultural influences on learning, challenges in managing cross-cultural research methodologies, and the potential application of research findings in curriculum development and teacher training. Sociological theories such as structural-functionalism and conflict theory provide insights into cultural dynamics, while methodological challenges highlight the need for adaptive strategies and international collaboration. This study recommends integrating research findings into practical educational policies to foster inclusivity and cultural competence. Teacher training programs and culturally responsive curricula are crucial to achieving these goals. Future research should focus on developing frameworks that bridge theory and practice, ensuring the sustainability and scalability of cross-cultural education initiatives. By addressing the complexities of cross-cultural education, this study contributes to the development of equitable and inclusive educational systems, preparing students to thrive in a globalized world.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze knowledge-sharing patterns within collaborative research networks in higher education institutions, focusing on sociological aspects. The research employs a qualitative methodology through a systematic literature review, examining scientific articles published between 2019-2024. The analysis reveals three key findings: First, there is a significant transformation in communication patterns towards a more horizontal model, facilitated by digital platforms and changing academic hierarchies. Second, social capital plays a crucial role in knowledge-sharing effectiveness, with strong networks and trust relationships contributing to enhanced research collaboration. Third, institutional factors significantly influence collaboration dynamics, including organizational policies, digital infrastructure, and resource allocation. The results demonstrate that while digital transformation has democratized research collaboration, social and institutional factors continue to shape knowledge-sharing practices. The study identifies gaps in existing collaborative frameworks and recommends developing an integrated approach that addresses technological, social, and institutional dimensions. This framework aims to foster more inclusive and productive research networks in higher education. The findings contribute to understanding the complex interplay between digital transformation, social dynamics, and institutional structures in academic collaboration. The study suggests practical implications for higher education institutions seeking to enhance their collaborative research capabilities and provides directions for future research in this evolving field.

Abstract

This study explores the dynamics of collaborative research networks in Indonesian educational institutions through a sociology of knowledge approach. The main objective of the study is to analyze the pattern of knowledge sharing and the transformation of the academic ecosystem in the context of globalization. An interpretive qualitative method is used, including literature studies, in-depth interviews, and theoretical analysis based on grounded theory with a sample of cross-disciplinary researchers. The research findings reveal three key aspects: (1) the structure of the research network that is dynamic and heterarchical, (2) the mechanism of knowledge sharing that is multimodal and influenced by social capital, and (3) the transformation of the research ecosystem towards a transdisciplinary model. The study recommends the development of policies that support collaboration flexibility, investment in social capital, and strengthening digital infrastructure to support innovative and responsive research networks.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the integration of Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) in educational studies through a sociological framework, focusing on stakeholder engagement and its implications for educational practice and policy development. The research employed a qualitative approach utilizing systematic literature review methodology, analyzing peer-reviewed articles published between 2015-2022 that focus on CBPR implementation in educational contexts and their sociological underpinnings. The findings reveal three key dimensions: (1) the transformation of power relations in educational research, demonstrating a shift towards more equitable collaboration between academic researchers and communities; (2) the crucial role of sociological frameworks in understanding community dynamics and their influence on educational outcomes; and (3) the sustainable impact on educational policy development through enhanced stakeholder engagement and evidence-based advocacy. The study highlights how the integration of sociological perspectives in CBPR can facilitate more effective stakeholder engagement and sustainable educational change. Recommendations include developing more culturally responsive research methodologies and establishing mechanisms for measuring the long-term impact of participatory approaches in educational research and policy development. These findings contribute to the growing body of knowledge on participatory research methods in education while providing practical insights for researchers, educators, and policymakers seeking to enhance community engagement in educational transformation.
