Abstract

High graduate unemployment rates from Indonesian vocational high schools highlight a critical mismatch between educational competencies and industry demands. This article investigates the implementation phase of an integrated industrial class program within the Hospitality Skills Program at SMK Negeri 60 Jakarta, designed to address this gap. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were gathered via interviews, observations, and document analysis, focusing on program execution. Findings reveal a "week release" system alternating students between school and partner hotels, involving systematic dispatch, industry induction, and departmental placements for active participation in operational tasks. School-led monitoring and support were integral. This immersive implementation significantly enhanced students' technical and interpersonal skills. However, challenges included student adaptation, logistical issues, and aligning school-industry expectations. The study concludes that successful industrial class implementation, vital for mitigating the competency gap, hinges on strong school-industry collaboration, robust support, and adaptive management, offering insights for effective work-integrated vocational learning.

Abstract

The implementation of regional autonomy in Indonesia has heightened the necessity for local governments to optimize their financial resources to foster economic growth and enhance public welfare. However, many regions, including Tabalong Regency, continue to face significant challenges in achieving fiscal sustainability and effectively translating financial capacity into tangible development outcomes. The purpose of this research is to analyze internal and external factors that affect financial performance, as well as identify the right strategies to implement. The method used was qualitative with SWOT analysis, which involved collecting secondary data from regional financial statements and interviews with key informants. The results showed that internal strengths included strong leadership support and legislative-executive synergy, while weaknesses related to the quality of human resources and delayed budget absorption. External opportunities include buffer zones for IKN and digital innovation, while threats include rapid regulatory changes and global economic crises. This study recommends human resource development and improvement of capital expenditure processes as strategic steps to achieve better regional financial goals.

Abstract

TikTok Shop has experienced rapid growth since 2021, with a projected 125 million users in Indonesia by 2024. Although it aims to facilitate shopping, its features and persuasive promotions have instead encouraged irrationally consumptive behavior. This study aims to investigate the impact of TikTok Shop usage on the consumption-related fashion behavior of female students at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Lambung Mangkurat University. A quantitative method with a correlational approach was employed, using a Likert scale to measure attitudes, perceptions, and consumptive behavior. The findings reveal that the majority of students exhibit a relatively high intensity of TikTok Shop usage, with a frequency of 3–5 times per week. Their usage is often driven by factors such as entertainment, product information, promotions, or discounts. Consumptive behaviors identified among respondents include purchasing decisions influenced by gifts, attractive packaging, and the desire to follow trends or maintain social prestige. TikTok Shop was found to have a significant impact on the consumptive fashion behavior of FISIP students, with 85 respondents displaying such tendencies. This behavior is reinforced by psychological and social motivations, such as the desire to maintain appearance and social status. It is therefore important for FISIP students to increase awareness of their consumption patterns and adopt a more mindful approach to shopping on e-commerce platforms. Future research is recommended to further explore psychological and social factors in greater depth from an academic perspective, while also offering practical recommendations for students in developing wiser consumption patterns.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of persuasive communication and school services on customer satisfaction at XYZ Private Elementary School in Jakarta. Using a quantitative approach and survey method, this study involved 116 parents of students through a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using normality tests, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression. The results of the study indicate that persuasive communication (β = 0.345; p < 0.001) and school services (β = 0.635; p < 0.001) significantly influence customer satisfaction, with a coefficient of determination R² of 0.573. School services contributed effectively by 43.18%, which is greater than persuasive communication at 14.80%. These findings support the theory of Total Quality Management (TQM) and the concept of educational service quality, which emphasizes the importance of synergy between persuasive communication and excellent service. The practical implications of this study encourage schools to implement data-driven communication and service strategies to enhance parental loyalty. This research offers a novel contribution through an integrative approach between communication and service aspects as the foundation for holistic and sustainable management of educational customer satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of the Pancasila and Rahmatan lil 'Alamin Student Profile Strengthening Program (P5RA) at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Unggulan Al Fadel Bogor. The P5RA program, which has been running since the 2022/2023 school year as part of the Independent Curriculum, is designed to strengthen the values of Pancasila and the principles of Rahmatan lil 'Alamin in students. This study uses the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model to analyze four main aspects: the context of implementation, the availability of resources, the implementation process, and the results and impact of the program. The research method is qualitative with a descriptive approach, involving teachers, educators, and students as research subjects. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation studies, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that P5RA succeeded in increasing students' involvement in project-based learning and strengthening their character, such as independence, tolerance, and responsibility. A contextual evaluation revealed that the program not only met policy demands but also answered students' needs for holistic character education. From the input aspect, the availability of human resources and supporting facilities is the key to the success of the program. However, the study also identified challenges such as time constraints, lack of standardization of evaluations, and lack of socialization to parents. Overall, P5RA has proven to be effective in shaping student character, although improvements are needed in the evaluation and management aspects to ensure the sustainability of the program.
