Abstract

The article discusses the thoughts of Muhammad Thahir Ibn Asyur, a Tunisian Muslim scholar known for his contributions in the fields of ushul fiqh and tafsir, especially in developing the concept of maqashid al-syari'ah. Ibn Asyur emphasized the importance of understanding Islamic law not only from a textual perspective, but also from the goals and values that the sharia seeks to achieve. He offers a contextual approach to ijtihad through maqashid sharia to answer the challenges of the modern era, without ignoring the basic principles of Islam. The concept of maqashid that he put forward not only covers the five main goals of sharia—namely protection of religion, soul, mind, descendants, and property—but is also expanded to include values such as justice, freedom, and public welfare. This article shows that Ibn Asyur's approach is solution-oriented and progressive, bridging traditional thinking and contemporary needs. His ideas became an important foundation in the modernization of Islamic law which remains based on the essential values of religion, while being relevant to the development of modern society.

Abstract

The objective of this causal research was to obtain information concerning: (1) the effect of work environment toward work performance; (2) the effect of workload toward work performance; and (3) the effect of work environment toward workload. The research was conducted using a survey method with a path analysis testing hypothesis. This research, principals of teachers on Police Women School - Polri has been chosen as a unit analysis and 90 samples of principals were selected at random. The results of the research are as follows: (1) there is a direct positive effect of work environment toward work performance; (2) there is a direct negative effect of workload toward work performance; and (3) there is a direct negative effect of work environment toward workload.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the spiritual values in the Quran, specifically in Surah Al-Baqarah verses 183-185, and the spiritual experiences of fasting among Santri at Pondok Pesantren Hidayatul Mubtadiin. The current development of technology poses challenges faced by Muslims in the modern era. Many students today experience stress, identity confusion, and even moral crises due to an environment that does not support spiritual values, which often weakens their enthusiasm for worship. The Quran, through Surah Al-Baqarah, provides relevant spiritual values such as piety, patience, and empathy that can serve as guidelines to face these challenges. The focus of this research is to analyze how the fasting experiences of santri in the pesantren can serve as a general reference in implementing these spiritual values in daily life. The method used is qualitative phenomenology through in-depth interviews with santri and caretakers, as well as an in-depth analysis of the verses of the Quran using Maudhui interpretation. Key stages of this research include data collection, analysis of spiritual experiences, and interpretation of the values embodied during the month of Ramadan. The results indicate that the spiritual values contained in Surah Al-Baqarah are highly relevant in helping both students and educators face the challenges of the times and strengthen their character. The main conclusion of this study is that there are spiritual values in the Quranic Surah Al-Baqarah verses 183-185, and fasting is not merely a ritual but also an opportunity to reflect upon and internalize profound spiritual values. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji nilai-nilai spiritual dalam Al-Qur'an surat Al-Baqarah ayat 183-185 dan pengalaman spiritual puasa Santri di Pondok Pesantren Hidayatul Mubtadiin. Perkembangan teknologi saat ini menjadi tantangan yang dihadapi umat Islam di era modern, Banyak peserta didik saat ini mengalami stres, kebingungan identitas, dan bahkan krisis moral akibat lingkungan yang tidak mendukung nilai-nilai spiritual. yang sering melemahkan semangat beribadah. Al-Qur'an, melalui surat Al-Baqarah, memberikan nilai-nilai spiritual yang relevan, seperti ketakwaan, kesabaran, dan empati, yang dapat menjadi pedoman untuk menghadapi tantangan tersebut. Fokus penelitian ini adalah menganalisa bagaimana pengalaman puasa yang dialami oleh santri di pondok pesantren dapat dijadikan rujukan umum dalam mengimplementasikan nilai-nilai spiritual ini dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif fenomenology melalui wawancara mendalam dengan santri dan pengasuh, serta analisis mendalam terhadap ayat-ayat Al-Qur'an dengan menggunakan tafsir Maudhui. Tahapan penting penelitian ini meliputi pengumpulan data, analisis pengalaman spiritual, dan interpretasi nilai-nilai yang dihayati selama bulan Ramadan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai spiritual yang terkandung dalam surat Al-Baqarah sangat relevan untuk membantu peserta didik hingga pendidik dalam menghadapi tantangan zaman dan memperkuat karakter mereka. Simpulan utama dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat nilai-nilai spiritual dalam Al-Qur’an surat Al-Baqoroh 183-185 dan ibadah puasa bukan hanya sekedar ritual, tetapi juga menjadi kesempatan untuk merefleksikan dan menghayati nilai-nilai spiritual.

Abstract

In Islamic finance, according to fiqh, interest in money is categorized as usury which means haram. The development of Islamic banking is quite rapidly spreading by providing banking services in accordance with the principles of Islamic sharia. The Sharia People's Financing Bank (BPRS) is the only BPR that operates with sharia principles in the city of Bandar Lampung. Technology-based financing on the system peer to peer (P2P) lending whose provisions refer to the DSN Fatwa concerning Technology-Based Financing Services Based on Sharia Principles. The problem in this study is how the implementation of information technology-based Murabahah contract financing services based on sharia principles at PT. BPRS Bandar Lampung? Is information technology-based financing services based on sharia principles at BPRS Bandar Lampung in accordance with DSN-MUI Fatwa No. 117/DSN-MUI/II/2018? The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of information technology-based Murabahah contract financing services based on sharia principles at PT. BPRS Bandar Lampung. Then in the implementation of financing, it aims to find out that information technology-based financing services based on sharia principles at BPRS Bandar Lampung are in accordance with DSN-MUI Fatwa No. 117/DSN-MUI/II/2018. This study uses a descriptive-qualitative method with a normative-empirical approach based on a literature study by looking at the written regulations by identifying the appropriate theories, concepts, and sharia principles. The data used in this study are primary and secondary data. Sharia principles must be met in information technology-based financing service products based on sharia principles. Based on general guidelines on information technology-based financing service products based on sharia principles that exist at PT. BPRS Bandar Lampung is in accordance with the fatwa. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the position of IAIN Metro's Public Service Agency (BLU) as a legal subject in the perspective of sharia economic law. Against the backdrop of IAIN Metro's vision oriented towards socio-eco-techno-preneurship synergy, this research explores the implementation of a legal entity in the context of public services that focuses not only on profit, but also on efficiency and productivity. The research method used is a qualitative method that uses interviews, documentation, and observation, to obtain comprehensive and in-depth data. The results showed that IAIN Metro's BLU is in a positive growth phase, both in terms of revenue and assets. In addition, this research identifies the contractual arrangements in the partnership undertaken by the BLU, as well as provides practical recommendations for legal policies that support the management of legal entities in the public sector. The findings are expected to make a significant contribution to the development of Islamic economics in Indonesia, as well as enrich the literature on the role of legal entities in the context of public services.Keywords: Public Service Agency; Sharia Economic Law; Partnership

Abstract

Wacana pemikiran tentang kode etik profesi hakim berangkat dari realitas para penegak hukum (khususnya hakim) yang mengabaikan nilai-nilai moralitas. Meskipun para pelaku profesional (hakim) sudah memilki kode etik profesi sebagai standar moral, ternyata belum memberikan dampak yang positif terutama belum bisa merubah image negatif masyarakat terhadap wajah. Salah satu jalan untuk menegakkan supremasi hukum adalah dengan cara menegakkan etika, profesionalisme, dan disiplin. Kode etik profesi hakim pada prinsipnya mengandung nilai-nilai moral yang mendasari kepribadian secara profesional, yaitu kebebasan, keadilan dan kejujuran. Etika profesi hakim dan hukum merupakan satu kesatuan yang secara inheren terdapat nilai-nilai etika Islam yang landasannya merupakan pemahaman dari Alquran, sehingga pada dasarnya kode etik profesi hakim sejalan dengan nilai-nilai dalam sistem etika Islam. Etika hukum Islam dibangun di atas empat nilai dasar yaitu yaitu nilai-nilai kebenaran, keadilan, kehendak bebas dan pertanggung jawaban.

Abstract

Dowry is a gift from a husband to his wife which is done at the time of the marriage contract. Dowry is something that is not included in the conditions and pillars of marriage, but it must exist. Meanwhile, mubadalah is an approach used to understand the verses in the Qur'an which are general in form but at first glance, they seem to be biased towards one gender, or specifically for men where women are not addressed, and specifically women and men have not been addressed. so that the main message of the text can then be applied to the two sexes. This paper aims to examine the function of dowry using a young perspective which will use the literature study method, with data sources from all literature discussing dowry and mubadalah. The analysis will be carried out using qualitative methods with deductive thinking. In the discussion, it is known that dowry in the perspective of mubadalah is a provision that is set to strengthen the position of women. So it can be concluded that the dowry is actually to uphold the honor of women, so that the higher the appropriateness of the dowry given voluntarily, it can be considered as an indicator that the husband is committed and can prove his promise of sincerity. Keywords: Dowry, Mubadalah, Level of Appropriateness

Abstract

Waqf is one of the important instruments in Islamic economics that has great potential in supporting development, especially in the field of education. This study aims to analyze the role and benefits of waqf in developing economic independence at SMK IB Khalifah Bangsa Metro (Pink Campus). This study uses a descriptive qualitative methodology. Data were collected through comprehensive interview methods, observation, and documentation. Informants in this study include the school, principal, teachers, and the community. The data used consists of primary and secondary sources. Primary data includes interviews and observations. Meanwhile, secondary data includes scientific texts, including journals and other publications. The results of the study indicate that productive waqf management at SMK IB Khalifah Bangsa is able to support the operational needs of the school, finance educational programs, and encourage student entrepreneurial activities. In addition, this waqf management also has a positive impact on the economic empowerment of the surrounding community. These findings indicate that waqf can be a strategic resource in creating economic independence for educational institutions based on Islamic values. This study recommends strengthening productive waqf management as part of the sustainability strategy of educational institutions. ABSTRAK Wakaf merupakan salah satu instrumen penting dalam ekonomi Islam yang memiliki potensi besar dalam mendukung pembangunan, khususnya di bidang pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran dan manfaat wakaf dalam pengembangan kemandirian ekonomi di SMK IB Khalifah Bangsa Metro (Kampus Pink). Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kualitatif deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui metode wawancara komprehensif, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini meliputi pihak sekolah, kepala sekolah, guru, dan masyarakat. Data yang digunakan terdiri dari sumber primer dan sekunder. Data primer meliputi wawancara dan observasi. Sementara itu, data sekunder meliputi teks ilmiah, termasuk jurnal dan publikasi lainnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan wakaf secara produktif di SMK IB Khalifah Bangsa mampu menopang kebutuhan operasional sekolah, membiayai program pendidikan, serta mendorong aktivitas kewirausahaan siswa. Selain itu, pengelolaan wakaf ini juga berdampak positif pada pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat sekitar. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa wakaf dapat menjadi sumber daya strategis dalam menciptakan kemandirian ekonomi lembaga pendidikan berbasis nilai-nilai Islam. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan manajemen wakaf produktif sebagai bagian dari strategi keberlanjutan lembaga pendidikan.

Abstract

This study examines two central themes in Muhammad Abu Zahrah’s thought: the key concepts of ijtihad, maqashid al-shariah, and justice in Islamic law, and their application in contemporary contexts. These concepts underpin his legal philosophy and are particularly relevant in addressing current legal challenges, such as women's rights in inheritance. The main objective is to analyze the relevance and application of Abu Zahrah’s ideas in modern Islamic legal systems. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the study draws on primary sources from Abu Zahrah’s writings and secondary data from current literature and scholarly journals. Data collection methods include literature review, content analysis, and comparative studies with other Islamic legal thinkers. Abu Zahrah advocates for dynamic ijtihad to address contemporary issues not explicitly regulated in classical texts, asserting that Islamic law must be adaptive and socially responsive. His ideas offer an alternative to rigid interpretations, especially in areas like family law and human rights. The study finds that Abu Zahrah’s thought provides a strong framework for developing more just, relevant, and context-sensitive Islamic legal systems in the face of globalization and legal dualism in many Muslim countries.

Abstract

Karang Taruna plays a crucial role in enhancing the social life of the community, particularly in Hinas Kanan Village, Hantakan District. The region has seen a decline in youth engagement in improving the quality of the younger generation, especially in terms of creativity and critical thinking skills. This served as the motivation for the service team to reactivate the Karang Taruna organization to develop and enrich the youth's understanding of their contributions to sustainable development. The younger generation has the potential to maximize the role of Karang Taruna in empowering the community's social welfare. The program aims to create a beneficial atmosphere through various social activities such as organizing Focus Group Discussions on village potential, commemorating the Republic of Indonesia's anniversary with the youth, conducting joint clean-up actions, and exploring tourist attractions with the village youth. The staff team has conducted workshops to strengthen the vision of Karang Taruna with the members and village officials, fostering solidarity and social responsibility among the youth of Hinas Kanan village. This aims to encourage a more active role in community development and greater sensitivity to social issues in their environment. The research emphasizes the importance of the active role of youth in sustainable development and their involvement in decision-making for the future of the village. It can serve as a reference for youth empowerment programs in other villages facing similar challenges and aid in designing more effective and sustainable strategies.
