Abstract

Mangrove forest play important role in coastal ecosystem. In other hand, mangrove have economical benefit as source of functional food. The aimed of this empowerment programme is to give knowledge and skill to coastal community of Lhok Bubon Aceh regarding Pedada fruit jam (Sonneratia alba). The method of empowerment includes did socialization, prepare raw material, and did training to coastal community of Lhok Bubon West Aceh. Based on the result shown that the coastal communities are consist of the women of Lhok Bubon coastal have spirit for learning and enthusiasm to follow the empowerment community programme. The expected in future, the coastal communities can be applied the technique of pedada fruit jam of S. alba in order to give them value added.

Abstract

This study is a qualitative study using descriptive methods. Object of this research is the novel Cinta di Ujung Sajadah of Asma Nadia a novel family first printing, July 2012. Data collected with the following steps: (1) read and understand the novel, (2) marking the parts that indicate the existence of women in novel, (3) identify the nature of the character corresponding to the research problem, (4) to classify sentences and paragraphs that can show a picture of women in the novel. Data were analyzed with the following steps: (1) describe a novel structure, (2) interpret the existence of women as reflected in the figures of women in the novel, (3) concluded that the data has been analyzed and interpreted, and (4) report the results of research. Based on the analysis of data it can be concluded that the existence of the female characters in the novel Cinta di Ujung Sajadah of Asma Nadia works are grouped as follows. (1) The existence of women as a person is having a hard-hearted personality, has the establishment, independent, religious, and faithful, (2) the existence of women as members of the family are affectionate, patient nature, gentle, (3) the existence of women as members of the community is a concern for other people, the environment and other people's relationships, respect for others, and gregarious.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is (1) to describe literary style in product advertisement of PT. Unilever Indonesia, (2) to describe the context of literary style in product advertisement of PT. Unilever Indonesia. This research data is 52 advertisements that are gotten by downloud with youtube site. The data collection is transcripted, after that identifying the data and also the context of literary style in product advertisement of PT. Unilever Indonesia, then it is classified base on the same literary style and context. The research findings are first, there are 7 comparison literary styles in product advertisement of PT. Unilever Indonesia that is devided into literary style of simile, metaphora, personification, metonnimi, sinecdoc pars pro toto, hiperbola, and paradocs. Second, there are 8 (eight) comparison literary styles in product advertisement of PT. Unilever Indonesia that are climax, non-climax, repetition, paralism, alliteration, ellipsis, ironi literary style, and retoris question. The context of literay style usage in Product advertisement of PT. Unilever Indonesia is to explain special quality of product to convice and persuade the audience and society when they see the product advertisement of PT. Unilever Indonesia to use the product.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is (a) to describe the types of images contained in a collection of poems Tebaran Mega created by Sutan Takdir Alisjahbana, (b) to describe the functions contained in a collection of poems Tebaran Mega by Sutan Takdir Alisjahbana. The data of this study is a collection of images in poems Tebaran Mega by Sutan Takdir Alisjahbana. The technique of analyzing data using detailed description techniques . The research findings in this study is the first, of the 6 types of images were examined, found 5 images in a collection of poems Tebaran Mega which is as follows: visual imagery found in 28 poems, auditory imagery found in 21 poems, olfactory imagery found in one poems, imagery feelings found as many as 11 poems, images grope found as many as 11 poems, and motion imagery found in 24 poems. Second, there are three functions in the collection of poems Tebaran Mega by Sutan Takdir Alisjahbana which is as follows: the function of imagination as much as 10 poems, aesthetic function was found in 7 poems, and suggestive function found in 4 poems.

Abstract

The purpose of this article (a) to describe story of episode novel Surat Kecil untuk Tuhan created by Agnes Davonar, (b) to describe story of episode film Surat Kecil untuk Tuhan director by Harris Nizam, (c) to describe similar and different story of episode novel with film Surat Kecil untuk Tuhan. The Data of this study were story of episode novel Surat Kecil untuk Tuhan created by Agnes Davonar and film Surat Kecil untuk Tuhan director by Harris Nizam. Analyzed technique do with ekranisasi theory. The findings of the study showed that the decrease story of episode novel Surat Kecil untuk Tuhan created by  Agnes Davonar in film Surat Kecil untuk Tuhan director by Harris Nizam become to 69 story of episode. Increase story of episode in film Surat Kecil untuk Tuhan director by Harris Nizam become to 27 story of episode. The same variation changes event, figure and background story of episode in novel Surat Kecil untuk Tuhan created by Agnes Davonar and film Surat Kecil untuk Tuhan director by Harris Nizam become to 32 story of episode.   Kata kunci : novel, film, ekranisasi, episode cerita

Abstract

The  purpose of this research is to describe the social aspects which are included:  (1) the main aspects in family, (2) aspects of atiquette or manners, (3) aspects of harmony, and the social system in the novel of  Para Priyayi which  is made by  Umar Kayam. This data is collected by reading and marking. Texts which is dedicated to same social and cultural aspects of javanese some parts of the novel which have been marked and thend. Being taken by using date of inventariaton the steps which conducted in analysing data are, (1) collecting data as a social aspect of Javanese culture, (2) calssification as a using teory, data collecting and classification by using taking note of the happenings which is connected whit a social aspect which is seen from a social problem, (3)  clasifing data  based teory  the reference, (4) conclude the date description in the form of writing report.

Abstract

This research was done to describe of form, meaning, and function of the expression the human’s trust in ceremony of corpse management in Nagari Selayo Kecamatan Kubung Kabupaten Solok. Data of this research were form, meaning and functions of the expression the human’s trust in Minangkabau especially in Kanagarian Selayo Kecamatan Kubung Kabupaten Solok. The data was collected trough interview and then, recorded the result of interview with some informant in Kenagarian Selayo Kecamatan Kubung Kabupaten Solok. In this research, it was found three results. The first, in Kanagarian Selayo Kecamatan Kubung Kabupaten Solok have 41 expressions of human’s trust in ceremony of corpse management. The second, in Kanagarian Selayo Kecamatan Kubung Kabupaten Solok have 41 expressions with implicit meaning that was got from orally and explicit meaning that was got from comprehended of the meaning in written. The third, the function of expressions human’s trust in ceremony of corpse management in Nagari Selayo Kecamatan Kubung Kabupaten Solok. The expression of human’s trust in ceremony of corpse management in Nagari Selayo Kecamatan Kubung Kabupaten Solok was divided into four parts. First, when the corpse at home has 23 expressions. Second, when the corpse bathed have 6 expressions. Third, when the corpse prayed have 1 expression. Fourth, when in the grave have 11 expressions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the shape, strategies and function of speech acts parking attendants in Balai Tangah Market’s Sub-District Lintau Buo Utara on Tanah Datar District. The data of this study is speech acts parking attendants. Sources of data in this study is spoken language parking attendants. Data were collected by using scrutunize, tapping, note, observation, and interview. The results of the study are (1) forms of speech act parking attendants is directive, expressive, and representative, and (2) Strategies of speech acts parking attendants is speak overt without courtesy, speak overt with preamble positive politeness, and speak overt with preamble negative politeness, and (3) the function of speech act sparking attendants is competitive functionality, cooperating and conflicting.
