Abstract

This research was conducted in Microfinance institutions (MFI) UEK-SP Maharatu Jaya, Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study to analyze the social performance and financial performance of MFI UEK-SP during 2009-2013. Social performance was analyzed using mixed market performance indicators and financial performance was analyzed by using the 17 indicators of PEARLS. Social performance analysis show that MFI UEK-SP has achieved its mission and social objectives, was indicated the indicator of increasing of total loan volume revolving at 25.58 percent. Result also show that the highest increasing of lending revolving  is trading sector (31.00 pecent), and the increasing of poor lending volume as much as 18.13 percent. Financial performance analysis shows that the 8 ratio of PEARLS is ideal goals, that are  the ratio of current assets, loans from the outside, the capital of institutions, non-productive assets, income from loans, asset growth, net income and capital growth. While the 9 ratio of PEARLS less than ideal goals, that are the ratio of the risk reserve fund for loans negligence 1-12 months and over 12 months, outstanding loans, operating costs, non perfoaming loan, loan growth, liquidity and deposit growth stocks. Abstract

This research aims to analyze  the marketing channel, marketing margin, and marketing efficiency of rubber on smallholder plantation of ex-UPP TCSDP. Research also analyzes the market structure and price transmition elasticity of rubber product (ojol) at Balam Merah Village. This research is using the survey method. Data was collected on 30 smallholders rubber plantation by purposive sampling technique, 6  the village merchant, and 3 the wholesaler by snowball sampling technique. The research results shows there are two rubber marketing channels which are  farmers - wholesalers - factory, and farmers - village merchant – wholesaler - factory.  The value of marketing margin on the first marketing channel as Rp. 928,21/kg , and is more efficient than the second marketing  channel (11,23 percent).   Keywords : UPP TCSDP, Marketing, Margin, Efficiency, Price Transmission.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the financial performance comparison cooperation Tunas Muda, Cooperation Karya Maju, and Cooperation Tandan Mas Jaya during the 2008-2010 period. Financial performance measured by financial ratio analysis. The results obtained of financial performance that Cooperation Tunas Muda and Cooperation Tandan Mas Jaya is liquid with a current ratio and the quick ratio is more than one, while the Cooperation Karya Maju has more than one current ratio and the quick ratio is less than one. The analysis shows that the solvency ratio Cooperation Tandan Mas Jaya in the state of solvability by the debt to assets and debt to equity obtained more than one, while the Cooperation Tunas Muda and Cooperation Karya Maju not sovabel because it has a debt to equity ratio is less than one. Cooperation ability to generate profits from assets obtained that Cooperation Tandan Mas Jaya larger than the Cooperation Karya Maju and Larger than Cooperation Tunas Muda. However, the profitability of own capital Cooperation Karya Maju larger than Cooperation Tandan Mas Jaya and larger than Cooperation Tunas Muda. Cooperation Tandan Mas Jaya has accounts receivable turnover, average days of collection of receivables, inventory turnover and average days of inventory stored more active than Cooperation Karya Maju and more active than Cooperation Tunas Muda. While the working capital turnover of Cooperation Karya Maju is more active than Cooperation Tandan Mas Jaya and more active than Cooperation Tunas Muda. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the productivity,  revenue,  households income structure, to analyze the pattern of households expenditure, and to the welfare of households of the smallholder rubber plantation of ex-TCSDP development. Research was done by survey at Balam Merah Village. Data were collected from 30 small-holders rubber farmers using purposive sampling. Analysis of the results showed that the productivity of smallholder rubber plantation as 84,35 ton/ha/year, the revenues of smallholder rubber plantation as Rp. 16.738.070/ha/year. The structure of household income derived from agriculture is 91,94 percent and 8,06 percent for non-agricultural income. The pattern of household expenditure shown that the food expenditure as 27,44percent and non-food expenditures as 72,56 percent. Result also show the household of small-holders rubber plantation at Balam Merah village have the total expenditure above the poverty line (Rp. 429.452/capita/month). The household welfare using the  14 indicators of relative poverty by Indonesian Statistic show that  100 percent household have ability to fullfill the basic need or prosperous.   Key words : Smallholder rubber farmer, Productivity, Income, Welfare

Abstract

This research aims are : 1) Analyze social capital, 2) Analyze empowerment, 3) Analyze the relationship of social capital and empowerment and 4) Formulate a strategy for developing social capital for the empowerment of rubber farmers in Singingi District. This research was conducted in Singingi District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. Social capital is measured by Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Likert Scale, the empowerment of rubber farmers is measured using a Likert scale, the relationship between social capital to the empowerment of rubber farmers used rank spearman correlation analysis and formulates social capital strategies for the empowerment of rubber farmers using SWOT analysis. The results show that social capital has a high intensity with specific relationships in individuals in the group at the highest intensity. Significant relationship, correlated positively in very weak direction between social capital and the empowerment of rubber farmers. To increase empowerment through the social capital of rubber farmers, this research expects farmers to implement strategies that have been formulated primarily in the dimension of empowerment. Keywords: social capital, empowerment, rubber farmers.

Abstract

  The fisheries sector(which is madeup of capturefisheries and aquaculture) is one of the most important household economics in Kabupaten Kampar, both from economic and social standpoints. The fisheries, particularly catfish, have also significant role in supplying community’s consumption for animal protein in the area, increasing fishermen revenue, and providing employment opportunities. Given the nature of the fishery products as a perishable product, the most common method to preserve the fish is by smoking the fish. The smoked fisheries industry further supports almost 12 % of households (directly and indirectly), and contributes to the livelihood, employment, and household food security, especially forcommunities live along the Kampar’s Delta. Currently, several fisheries small-holder’s enterprises were assisted by The Agribusiness Incubator, University of Riau, in terms of processing, packaging, and marketing techniques. This research was aimed to study marketing and behavioural analysis of smoked catfish produced by the enterprises. Most of the respondents are at productive age (15-54 years), with a high school education or equivalent level, and the average amount of revenue per month ranged between Rp. 2,600,000 to Rp. 5,000,000.  The respondent’s family members are in the category of small (2-3 people). The respondents mostly purchase the smoked catfish directly to the Wholesale/Dealer/Collector. The respondent’s purchasing decision is mostly affected by the following product attributes: packaging, point of sale location, and service offered by the seller. Plotting the product’s attributes in the Cartessian diagram shows that the first quadrant is filled by the following attributes: product’s aroma, brand, price, and smoked fish color. The second quadrant is described by hygienic properties, weight per pack, taste, and saltiness property. Meanwhile, for the third quadrant is positioned by the products’s nutrition information and labeling; as well as for the fourth quadrant is the location of sales, service sales, and forms of packaging. Based on the analysis of Fishbein’s Multiatributes, the respondent’s attitude is considered as fairly-good on the multiattributes categorical approach. Abstract

The purpose of this study to analyze the performance of the social and financial performance over the period 2009-2013 were conducted in rural microfinance institutions (UED-SP) Candi Makmur. Social performance analysis using MIX Market performance indicators, and financial performance analysis method using 17 ratio with Pearls. Social performance analysis show has achieved its mission and social purpose indicated by the indicator development revolving loan volume of 56.37 percent, the development of the highest revolving loan is trade 58.36 percent and the number of poor borrowers 260 people with poor loan growth 116.3 percent. Activity and increased internal system is shown by the staff productivity indicator for the number of borrowers, loan volume and ratio of staff incentives. Increased output and outcome in dicators shown by the borrower based on gender, the ratio of borrowers by business sector and the ratio of the number of poor borrowers. Financial performance analysis shows the ratio of 17 pearls were analyzed, 7 ratio is under ideal conditions the ratio of current assets, loans from the outside, the capital of institutions, non-productive assets, operating costs, asset growth and the growth of outstanding loans. which is not ideal for the ratio is the ratio of the risk reserve fund for loans negligence 1-12 months and over 12 months, outstanding loans, savings shares, non perfoaming loan, income from loans, net income, current assets do not generate, growth stock savings and growth institutional capital. Abstract

This study aims to: (1) Know the channel and function of rice marketing in Kubu Rokan Hilir District. (2) Analyze cost, margin, and efficiency of rice marketing in Kubu sub district Rokan Hilir District. This research was conducted by survey method with the help of quisioner to interact with sample and sampling take  20 samples of farmers and buyers of rice. Data analysis using Snowball Sampling. The results showed that the rice marketing channel in Kubu sub-district only had one marketing channel from farmers to big traders to RMU (Tebing Tinggi). The function of rice marketing in Kubu Sub-district was done by marketing institutions such as farmers, Collecting traders, Big trader and RMU Tebing Tinggi which includes the functions of exchange, physical function and facility function. At farmers the cost does not incur marketing expenses. In the merchant collecting the marketing expenses incurred is the transportation cost of Rp 200 / kg which is the cost for transportation. While the big trader spend on loading and unloading marketing costs of Rp 85 / kg, transportation costs of Rp 200 / kg and total marketing costs Rp 485 / kg. While the marketing efficiency is 9.89% and the marketing profit is Rp 640 / kg and the share received by farmers is 77.26%.Keywords: Marketing, Rice, margin, efficiency and cost.

Abstract

This research aims to: 1) analyzes the social capital of the farmer rubber, 2) Analyze empowerment rubber farmers, 3) analyzed the Relationship of social capital and peasant empowerment rubber, 4) Formulating strategies to social capital development empowerment farmer rubber in district Tambusai North. This research was conducted in Northern Tambusai. Social capital measured by analysis of Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and the Likert scale, the relationship between social capital and keberdayaan rubber farmers using correlation analysis of rank spearman and formulate social capital for rubber farmers with empowerment using SWOT analysis. The results show that social capital has a specific relationship with high intensity on individuals in the group are at high intensity. Empowerment generated by five elements: land, pengelolahan land, seeds, maintenance, and production in the category quite helpless. Abstract

In an effort to strengthen food security in Indonesia, the government set up a separate body to deal with the problem of food that Bulog. Bulog rice procurement allocation include Beras Miskin (Raskin), Cadangan Beras Pemerintah (CBP) and Operasi Pasar Murni (OPM). To meet the needs in the province of Riau and Riau Islands province, Bulog Regional Division Riau and Riau Islands should make the process of optimal distribution of rice at a low cost. Optimization of warehouse inventory and minimize distribution costs can be done by applying a Linear Programming optimization method is a method of transportation. From the results of the use of QM For Windows applications by using two models formulation obtained distribution costs are minimal formulation of model 2 is the model minimization by maximizing the capacity of the warehouse, with a total cost of Rp.1.135.736.404, where the cost is much less than formulation of the model 1 is a model minimization by considering the sheer number of needs the warehouse at a cost of Rp.1.240.804.404.
