Abstract

This study aims to analyze the productivity, the revenue, the households income structure, the pattern of households expenditure, and the welfare of households of the smallholder rubber plantation of ex-TCSDP development. Research was done by survey at Pauh Ranap Village. Data were collected from 30 small-holders rubber farmers using purposive sampling. Analysis of the results showed that the productivity of smallholder rubber plantation as 2,92 ton/ha/year, the revenues of smallholder rubber plantation as Rp. 21.892.428/ha/year. The structure of household income derived from agriculture is 35,56 percent and 14,62 percent for non-agricultural income. The pattern of household expenditure shown that the food expenditure as 43,35 percent and non-food expenditures as 56,65 percent. Result also show that the household of the smallholder rubber plantation at Pauh Ranap Village have the total expenditure more than 240 kg of rice equivalent. The household of small-holders rubber plantation have the total expenditure above the poverty line (Rp 369.210 /capita/month). The household welfare using the 14 indicators of relative poverty by Indonesian Statistic show that  83,33 percent household have ability to fullfill the basic need or prosperous, while 16,67 percent is almost prosperous. Abstract

ABSTRACT                The study aimed to analyze the channel, structure, behavior, appearance of the deep coconut market in Tebing Tinggi Timur District, Meranti Islands Regency. This study uses a survey method. Respondents are all marketing institutions involved in marketing coconut. Sampling uses the census method. Data analysis is descriptive and quantitative. The marketing channel is seen from the product flow that the goods go through, the structure is seen from the number of actors, the barriers to entry, concentration ratio, market share and the external index. Market behavior is seen from the practice of price formation, correlation and transmission. Market appearance is seen from marketing margins, efficiency and farmer's share. The research results show the marketing channels, namely (1). Farmers sell to the collector and the collector sells to wholesalers. (2). Farmers sell to big traders and wholesalers sell to factories and abroad. The market structure is an oligopsonist, there are obstacles in and out of the market. The value of the market share at the level of collectors ranges from 0.02-0.13, at the level of wholesalers ranging from 0.06 to 0.22. The value of the herfindahl index at the level of the traders is 0.0884, at the level of wholesalers it is 0.1427. Market behavior shows the end consumer (wholesaler) who determines the price. The price of coconut at the farm level is strongly correlated with the price of coconut at the final consumer level. The value of price transmission elasticity is <1, which means that the price changes at the level of large traders are greater than the price changes at the farmer level. Market appearance, the total marketing margin for channel I is Rp. 904.81, - / Item. Costs and benefits obtained Rp. 175, - / Item and Rp. 730, - / Item. Channel II total marketing margin of Rp. 1,061.81, - / Item. Costs and benefits obtained Rp.195, - / Item and Rp. 867, - / Item. Abstract

Gapoktan Tani Jaya that located in the Pandau Jaya Village of Kampar District is one of the beneficiaries of Rural Agribusiness Development ( PUAP ) which has been running for 5 years . Until now , there has been no discourse to improve PUAP institutions into MFI - A. An MFI - A should have social performance in its outreach and financial performance with good level financial position (Arsyad, 2008). Based on the explanation , aim of this research are: to analyze the social performance, analyzing the financial performance of institutions and policy implications the results of the analysis of social performance and financial performance of the institution. The data used are secondary data derived from the financial statements and progress reports of institution membership in 2009 until 2012 and the primary data is interviews to PPL and agency managers. Outreach of institutional customers is fluctuated because there are non-active members at a later stage. Staff outreach is considered good because it can meet all the needs of members. Loan outreach also fluctuate because there are non-active members and the existence of arrears in 2011 and 2012. Savings range is considered good because a lot of members who do voluntary savings each year. Sales of fertilizer also has a positive effect on the development of the institution's revenues. Liquidity and solvency ratio has decreased every year but the value of the ratio is still in a liquid state and solvable. Profitability and activity ratio is considered good although profits are quite small but positive effect on institutions and organizations are also able to streamline the activities of financial resources. The policy implications of the institutions should increase the number of active borrowers and reduce operational costs , and increase profits from the activity of the institution. Abstract

This study aimsto analyze social performance and financial performance of Microfinance Institutions UED-SP Bina Sejahtera, inthe village of Sibabat, Indragiri Hulu. Social performancewas analyzed by using the MIX Market Social Performance Indicators, and financial performance was analyzed by using PEARLS based the financial data during 2010-2013 period. The results showed tha the MFIUED-SP Bina Sejahtera is not yet optimal in crease loan volume growth. Development of systems and strategies based on staff productivity indicators for the number of borrowers and loan volume and an increase inthe ratio of staff incentivesis not yet optimal also. Performance improvement of the borrower and the borrower poor people increased. Rangeof business sectorsare dominated by agriculture and trade, which is indicated by the lending volume indicator on agriculture and trade. The financial performance of MFIs UED-SP obtained undersome indicators in ideal conditions, that are: the ratio ofcurrent assets, the ratio ofexternal loans, institutional capital ratio, the ratio of non perfoaming loans, the ratio of non-productive assets, the ratio of loan income, asset growth, and the growth of savings shares. Financial performance indicators have not been achieved are the ratio of the Loan Losses Allowances for Delinquent >12 Month ratio, Net Loan Loss Allowances for Delinquent 1-12 Month ratio, Net Loans Ratio, Member Share Capital Ratio , Operating Expenses Ratio, Net Income Ratio, Non-earning Liquid Assets Ratio, Net Loans growth Ratio, Institutional Capital Growth Ratio.   Keywords: Microfinance Institution (UED-SP), protection, non perfoaming loan

Abstract

The purpose of this study are: 1) to analyze the level of profit and efficiency of sweet corn farming in Sidomulyo Barat Village, 2) to analyze the level of profit and marketing system of sweet corn in Sidomulyo Barat Village. The sample of farmers in this study amounted to 25 respondents and a sample of traders amounted to 10 respondents. The research method uses census techniques with the overall respondents taking farmers who do sweet corn farming activities. Determination of marketing agency samples using the snowball sampling method by following the marketing channel. The results showed that sweet corn farming efficiency was 1.60 and marketing channel I efficiency was 2.68% and in marketing channel II was 8.55%, the efficient channel was marketing channel I. Farmer channel channel I was 75% and channel II was 69.23% .Keywords: sweet corn, farming, income, marketing channel, farmer share

Abstract

This study aims to analyze social performance and financial performance of microfinance institutions UED-SP Mekar Jaya. Market performance indicators formulated by Microfinance Information eXchange (MIX) used to analyze the social performance of financial institutions, and financial performance analyzed using 17 PEARLS ratio. Analysis  of the UED-SP MFI's social has reached the social mission and goals. The cumulative volume of loans 41.61 percent and the higher growth of loans volume the agricultural sector 42.73 percent, the poor borrowers is 45.65 percent and volume of loans increased 55.35 percent. Internal system  activity has developed in addition of the financial products and non-financial services, as well as increased staff incentives. The output and outcome UED-SP MFI’s was increasing in average annual, outreach of the woman borrowers  37.87 percent. The financial performance obtained that the protection is not achieved because it  doesnt have a provision for loan losses on loans greater than 12 month delinquent.Effective financial structure obtained  the net loans higher than range limit of ideal achivement,  ratio of members share capital in ideal, ratio of capital institutions in ideal. Asset quality in Non Perfoaming Loans (NPL)  and ratio of non-earning asset are in ideal. Return and cost operating expenses are not ideal while net loan income are ideal, ratio of income from non-earning liquid assets are not ideal. Abstract

This reaserch aimed to know level of importance of belief, evaluation,normative belief, motivation attitude and behavior of farmers for saving productsPT. Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk, Unit Danamon Simpan Pinjam Pasar BaganBatu. Source of data was primary data from interview with respondents usingaccidental sampling. The data was analysis by fishbein model show consumer'sattitude to certain object and to know consumer's decision making process. Thisfishbein model explain of belief and evaluation of atribut PT. Bank DanamonIndonesia Tbk, Unit Danamon Simpan Pinjam Pasar Bagan Batu used includedinterest rates, promotion, gifts, location, friendliness of employees, savingadministration of processes, service employees and government guarantees.The dominant atribut was fill up by consumer's in belief is promotion andevaluation is interest rates. The result showed that absolute behaviour (AB) scored13.79, subjective normative (SN) scored 0.57 and behaviour intention (BI) scored532.62. The positive value of BI (>0) indicated that behaviour intention to savingproducts PT. Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk, Unit Danamon Simpan Pinjam PasarBagan Batu is good. The most important variable of belief is promotion, andvariable of evaluation is interest rates. Abstract

The purpose of this research was to analyze the panelist acceptance and business analysis of instant noodles based on sago starch and catfish (Pangasius sp). This research used 20 kilograms sago starch and catfish 3 kilogram. Instant noodles made from sago starch and catfish compared with commercial instant noodle (Indomie Goreng). Testing was conducted by giving an assessment toward taste, flavor, firmness, and texture. The assessment was conducted by 35 panelists. Panelist acceptance was tested for instant noodles before and after cooking. The panelist acceptance was analysed using Cohran's Q-test. Then do the business analysis of sago starch and catfish based-noodles, the code sample given 815 and 428. There were two different treatments (P), they are instant noodles sago starch and catfish-based before cooking, commercial instant noodles before cooking, instant noodles sago starch and catfish-based after cooking, and commercial instant noodles after cooking. Based on T-test for taste, firmness, and texture, there is a significant to instant noodles sago starch and catfish-based and no significant to commercial instant noodles, while the flavor of sago starch and catfish-based showed significantly different with commercial instant noodles. The conclusion of this study stated that the business analysis for instant noodle processing sago starch and catfish deserves to be marketed.   Keywords: Sago starch, instant noodle, catfish, panelist acceptance, analysis of business
