Abstract

Atherosclerosis is initiated by inflammatory response characterized by the accumulation of lipids in the arteries, causing blockage of blood vessels. The excessive of Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL) in the blood is a major factor in endothelial dysfunction and results in an inflammatory process. The inflammatory process in atherosclerosis is due to the expression of adhesion molecules Vascular Cell Adhesion Molecules-1 (VCAM-1). This research aims to evaluate the effect of single bulb garlic oil extract (SGBOE) against VCAM-1 expression high-fat diet mice. Male mice strain Balb/C were acclimatized for one week. Mice were divided into 6 groups (n=5): normal, high-fat diet (HFD), HFD + simvastatin, and HFD + SBGOE 12.5, 25, and 50 mg/kg BW respectively. HFD was given for 45 days. Single garlic extract was given for four weeks orally. The aortic VCAM-1 expression was assayed using the Immunohistochemical-Flouresence (IHK-F) method. The result of One-Way ANOVA showed that the treatment influenced significantly (p<0.05). The foam cells increase in the high-fat diet group compared than normal mice. Dose 12,5 mg/kg BW reduces VCAM-1 expression near the normal group. Allicin and S-allyl cysteine (SAC) compounds in single bulb garlic are antioxidant compounds that act to prevent oxidative stress and prevention mechanisms against lipoprotein modification.

Abstract

This research was intended to determine and describe the behaviors of Toto Gelap (Togel)-addicted people in Kasiyan Village, District of Puger, Jember regency. The research used symbolic interactionism theory of Blumer. Togel activities done by the community are not always caused by economic reasons that make someone to do Togel gambling. Some reasons are by hobbies, lifestyle, and consideration as a determinant of social status. Besides, in determining Togel coupon, Togel-addicted people use unique ways by the mystical path. On the other hand, the things related to the mystique have been a habit, tradition, and belief handed down from generation to generation. The research used descriptivequalitative methods, and informants were determined by purposive sampling. Data collection methods used were structured observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Togel in Kasiyan Village, District of Puger, Jember Regency has been growing since the 2000s. Togel-addict group has some mystical behaviors, which include: dream interpretation, grandong (an activity done on a grave for getting signs/information from spirits), natural code, meditation, spirituality, and fortune-telling. Besides, Togel gambling has special functions and meanings for togel-addicted people as a source of income, a shortcut to debts settlement, and marketing strategies. Meanwhile, the meanings of Togel gambling for togel-addicted people are as a medium of channeling the desire to gambling, gambler togetherness tier, and a means of affirming the identity of gamblers. Abstract

Diabetic nephropathy is one of the diabetes complications attacking kidney leading to kidney damage. Hyperglycemia accompanying DM causes the increase of Ad-vanced Glycation End-Product (AGE) and Receptor Advanced Glycation End-Product (RAGE) activity, then develop kidney damage and other diabetes compli-cations. The study aimed to investigate the effect of black soybean, purple sweet potato, or their combination on the expression of AGE, RAGE, and kidney necro-sis T2DM model rats. The rats were given with high-calorie diet for five weeks and then injected with a low dose of streptozotocin (30 m/kg Body Weight) in intraperitoneal. DM rats were divided into: normal, K- (T2DM), K+ (T2DM + glibenclamide 0.6 mg/kg body weight), P1 (T2DM + black soybean), P2 (T2DM + purple sweet potato), and P3-5 Combination 1-3 (T2DM + combination of black soybean and purple sweet potato in ratio of 1 : 3, 2 : 2, and 3 : 1). DM rats were then given the treatments for thirty days. The effect of black soybean, purple sweet potato, or the combination of both was evaluated through the expression of AGE, RAGE, and necrosis of renal tubules. The changes in renal tubules histological characteristics were evaluated using hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining. Immuno-histochemistry analysis of renal tubules was to evaluate AGE-RAGE expression after the treatments. The research results indicated that there was a significant dif-ference from the combination of black soybean and purple sweet potato in reduc-ing AGE, RAGE, and renal tubules necrosis. The BSB and PSP combination ratio of 1:1 was able to improve renal tubules, decrease the expression of AGE and RAGE towards near normal. The combination of black soybean and purple sweet potato could be used as one of the alternatives to improve kidney damage in dia-betic nephropathy.

Abstract

Scientific Literacy (SL) is an important competency to deal with and keep up with the increasingly sophisticated technological developments. However, information about the SL of prospective gifted young scientists over 15 years old has not been widely revealed holistically. Therefore, this survey research aimed to investigate the SL performance of prospective gifted young scientists holistically and compare the SL performance based on the grade level. A total of 278 students from a public senior high school in Jombang Regency, East Java Province, Indonesia, participated in this research. They were asked to take the SL test with 18 essential question items. As a result, the participants still showed low SL performance (total success rate = 40). The one-way ANOVA test results indicated no significant difference in the participants' SL performance based on the grade level. Therefore, three recommendations were provided: teachers should use various learning models, SL should be an explicit focus in science and non-science classrooms, and schools need to be equipped with supporting facilities to accommodate student readiness to practice SL.

Abstract

Perkembangan industri semakin meningkat dari masa kemasa, salah satunya adalah industri batik yang merupakan karya seni budaya bangsa Indonesia yang telah turun-temurun. Dalam industry batik, pewarnaan adalah proses yang sangat penting dant tidak mungkin ditinggalkan. Proses ini menggunakan pewarna tekstil yang menghasilkan limbah dan dapat mencemari lingkungan. Keberadaan industri batik di Indonesia menempati kategori industry skala besar, menengah, kecil dan bahkan skala rumahtangga (home industry). Hal ini menyebabkan pencemaran yang ditimbulkan oleh industri batik tidak hanya terjadi pada kawasan industri, tetapi terjadi juga di pemukimaman padat penduduk. Salah satup pengolahan air limbah batik yaitu dengan menggunakan alat penyaring air dengan metode multimedia filter.Dari hasil pengujian menunujukan bahwa variasi susunan pertama atau VS 1 (Ijuk – pasiraktif – karbonaktif – zeolit.) yang paling bagus dalam melakukan filtrasi atau penyaringan dengan rincian nilai kekeruhan 347,37 NTU dengan nilai standar yaitu 400 NTU hamper mendekati namun belum mencapai batas yang ditentukan, sedangkan nilai suhu yaitu 28,50 ºC dengan standar suhu yakni kisaran 20 -30 ºC, kemudian nilai pH yang dihasilkan semuanya sama yaitu 8,4 dan nilai kadar DO (Dissolved Oksigen) yaitu 4.25 mg/L dengan standar parameter yakni 5 mg/L hasil tersebut hamper mendekati standar budidaya ikan air tawar namun belum pas padastandar yang ada. Abstract

Tujuan artikel ini adalah menyelidiki dampak dari penerapan manajemen pengetahuan terhadap keberlanjutan organisasi. Penelitian Ini menyelidiki perbedaan kinerja antara ISO 9001 perusahaan industri pertahanan. Studi ini menggunakan data yang dikumpulkan dari 320 karyawan industry pertahanan yang ditentukan dengan metode simple random sampling. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif survey. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan meyebarkan kuesione online melaui media sosial. Alat bantu pengolahan data menggunakan software SmartPLS 3.0. Hasilnya analisi data menunjukkan bahwa manajemen pengetahuan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penerapan ISO 9001 dan memainkan peran dalam generasi pengetahuan, berbagi, dan pemanfaatan. Manajemen pengetahuan memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap keberlanjutan organisasi dan ISO 9001 memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap keberlanjutan organisasi pada industri pertahanan.

Abstract

Background: Sensory nerve damage is the earliest leprosy sign which can lead to disability. Previous studies showed that autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) perineural blind injection can stimulate leprosy sensory nerve regeneration. Our study provided a safer and more accurate PRP agent delivery method through ultrasound-guided injection and was the first to compare PRP versus standard neuropathy treatment, the neurotropic vitamin. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of combination therapy of ultrasound-guided PRP perineural injection and oral vitamin B complex compared to single oral vitamin B complex in sensory peripheral neuropathy of posterior tibial nerve in leprosy patients.

Abstract

Purpose This study explores the important concept of brand love and how it influences consumer behavior, especially in the context of repurchase intention. Brand love is a strong emotional bond between consumers and brands, which can influence purchasing decisions and brand loyalty. Methodology This research uses literature study with the addition of bibliometric methods to strengthen the analysis. The articles obtained for bibliometric analysis were 62 articles and the articles that had been filtered for discussion contained 3 suitable articles. Findings By understanding the relationship between brand love and repurchase intent, businesses can develop effective marketing strategies to increase consumer engagement, drive sales, and strengthen brand loyalty. Suggestion This research provides valuable insights for marketing practitioners and entrepreneurs to utilize brand love as a tool to create deep relationships with consumers and achieve sustainable competitive advantage.

Abstract

Secara rinci, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kreativitas siswa kelas X DPIB dalam memahami keterkaitan sejarah antara Kerajaan Hindu-Budha dan Kerajaan Galuh melalui penerapan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek (PjBL) yang didukung oleh media Canva. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebagai Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) selama satu semester, mengikuti empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, tes, dan kuesioner, serta dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PjBL dengan Canva secara signifikan meningkatkan kreativitas siswa, meningkatkan aktivitas, kreativitas, dan antusiasme siswa. Penelitian ini melibatkan 32 siswa dari SMKN 2 Ciamis, terdiri dari 14 laki-laki dan 18 perempuan. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi lembar observasi, tes penilaian kreativitas, dan dokumentasi proyek siswa. Analisis menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kreativitas dari Siklus I ke Siklus II, dengan skor kreativitas meningkat dari 65% menjadi 75% dan skor produk meningkat dari 68% menjadi 79%.,dengan skor ketuntasan dari 68% menjadi 86%. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa PjBL berbasis Canva efektif dalam memperbaiki kreativitas dan hasil belajar siswa, memberikan kontribusi pada pengembangan metode pembelajaran yang lebih kreatif dan interaktif.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pengabdian kepada masyarakat bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi keuangan syariah dan perbaikan tatakelola keuangan syariah yang baik melalui aktivitas penyuluhan dan pendampingan berkelanjutan. Sasaran kegiatan yaitu dua puluh empat pelaku usaha mikro kecil menengah di Kabupaten Bangkalan. Kegiatan pengabdian melibatkan dosen, mahasiswa dan tiga mitra yang bersedia untuk berkolaborasi yaitu BMT Makin Amin, Lazis Al Haromain dan Halal Center UTM. Tahapan pengabdian masyarakat dimulai dengan memilih dan menetapkan mahasiswa, pembekalan kepada mahasiswa, menetapkan rencana kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat, survey serta pemetaan pelaku usaha mikro kecil menengah, penentuan UMKM sebagai sasaran kegiatan, pelaksanaan kegiatan, monitoring dan evaluasi. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan penyuluhan literasi keuangan syariah menjadi motivasi bagi 7 (tujuh) UMKM untuk mendapatkan sertifikasi halal dan nomor induk berusaha. Sisi yang lain, 24 dua puluh empat UMKM yang menjadi objek pendampingan pengelolaan keuangan syariah telah membuat rencana sederhana, menyiapkan catatan dan menyajikan laporan keuangan dalam bentuk sederhana. Abstract:  Community service aims to increase sharia financial literacy and improve good sharia financial governance through ongoing counseling and mentoring activities. The target of the activity is twenty-four micro, small and medium enterprises in Bangkalan Regency. The service activities involve lecturers, students and three partners who are willing to collaborate, namely BMT Makin Amin, Lazis Al Haromain and Halal Center UTM. The community service stages begin with selecting and appointing students, providing guidance to students, establishing plans for community service activities, surveying and mapping micro, small and medium enterprises, determining MSMEs as activity targets, implementing activities, monitoring and evaluating. The results of the service showed that sharia financial literacy outreach activities became a motivation for 7 (seven) MSMEs to obtain halal certification and business registration numbers.
