Abstract

The objectives of this research are (1) testing the effectiveness of using guided inquiry models in learning to write narrative text for fifth grade school students on cognitive learning outcomes; (2) testing the effectiveness of using the PBL model in learning to write narrative text for fifth grade elementary school students on cognitive learning outcomes;       This type of research design is a Quasi Experiment Design. he results showed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.003 <0.005. This means that there are differences in the effectiveness of cognitive learning outcomes between the experimental class treated with the Guided Inquiry learning model, and the control class treated with the Problem Based Learning learning model. The posttest average score of the Guided Inquiry learning model is 83.75, while the average value of the Problem Based Learning learning model is 80.31.

Abstract

The values embedded in the Menara Kudus culture in Indonesia emphasize the preservation and development of local traditions. One way children express their understanding of local culture is through artistic activities, particularly drawing. This study aims to narrate and measure children's artistic experiences in creating drawings themed on the Menara Kudus, using cultural evidence from its historical legacy as a learning resource. This study employed a mixed-methods sequential exploratory design. The initial qualitative phase involved interviews, observations, and documentation to explore children aged 9 to 12's artistic experiences. The subsequent quantitative phase applied descriptive statistics to support and measure the findings from the qualitative data. All qualitative data were analyzed using an interactive model. The results show that children produced drawings of the Menara Kudus based on their personal experiences and interests, with artworks displaying varying levels of precision, imagination, and creativity. The creative process was found to consist of three phases: pre-creation (encompassing both direct and indirect experiences), creation (encompassing tool preparation, technical mastery, time management, and effective communication), and post-creation (encompassing self-confidence and interpretation). The overall mean score for the artistic experience was 119.43, with mean scores of 22.57, 80.95, and 15.91 for the pre-creation, creation, and post-creation stages, respectively. The findings indicate that children's involvement in the visual arts themed on Menara Kudus is categorized as moderate. It is therefore recommended that children's skills in capturing the original form of objects be enhanced.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the moral values in the legendary folklore of Bledug Kuwu. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection through observation, interviews, and note-taking. Primary data was obtained through interviews, while secondary data was obtained from related folklore journals and books. The analysis was carried out using narrative analysis method. The results of the study show that the Ngelap Berkah tradition associated with the Bledug Kuwu legend contains valuable moral values such as cleanliness, cooperation, respect, connectedness to nature, and local wisdom. This tradition provides benefits for people's daily lives in creating harmony, responsibility, and concern for the environment and culture. This research provides an understanding and appreciation of moral values in the tradition of Bledug Kuwu's Bledug Berkah legend, which is an important foundation in shaping the identity and quality of people's lives.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the values of the characters in the story Saridin Yang Sakti which is one of the few folk tales originating from the city of Pati in Central Java province. Folklore is a cultural heritage that has developed over time, as well as a learning method for generations of children that is passed on as the value of life. The method used to achieve the specified objectives is qualitative descriptive analysis. The data used in this research comes from popular literature books. The final aim of this research is to identify characteristics that can be used to identify role models and characteristics of figures that cannot be changed.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the narrative structure and social values contained in the oral story of Mbah Suto Bodo. The research design is qualitative with analytical methods based on Axel Olrix's theory. The analysis results show that Mbah Sutro Bodo's oral story prioritizes the narrative structure to build the storyline. A narrative structure in Mbah Suto Bodo's oral story is interrelated and does not stand alone. The social values in Mbah Suto Bodo's story include values: devotion, help, kinship, caring, discipline, empathy, tolerance, and cooperation. Mbah Suto Bodo's story can be an alternative learning material, especially Indonesian language subjects.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis struktur naratif dan nilai-nilai sosial yang terdapat dalam cerita lisan Mbah Suto Bodo. Adapun ancangan penelitiannya kualitatif dengan metode analisis berdasarkan teori Axel Olrix. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa cerita lisan Mbah Sutro Bodo mengutamakan struktur naratif untuk membangun jalannya cerita. Keberadaan struktur naratif dalam cerita lisan Mbah Suto Bodo saling berkaitan dan tidak berdiri sendiri. Adapun nilai sosial dalam cerita Mbah Suto Bodo mencakupi nilai: pengabdian, tolong menolong, kekeluargaan, kepedulian, disiplin, empati, toleransi, dan kerja sama. Cerita Mbah Suto Bodo dapat menjadi alternatif materi pembelajaran, khususnya mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the story structure and character values contained in the legendary story of Bandungharjo village, Jepara city. The research approach uses descriptive qualitative. The data sources are community leaders, teachers, and practitioners who know and understand the oral stories of the legends of Bandungharjo village, Jepara. Data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, recording, recording, shooting, and transcription. The validity of the data through triangulation of sources, time, technique, and time. Data analysis applies Alan's motive theory. As a result, the legend of Bandungharjo village has a simple story structure and has character values in the form of religious values, nationalism, independence, mutual cooperation, and integrity. This proves that the legendary story of Bandungharjo village is a representation of character values. Therefore, the legendary story of Bandungharjo village can be used as a role model to bridge character values for students or society in general.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan struktur cerita dan nilai-nilai karakter yang terdapat dalam cerita legenda desa Bandungharjo kota Jepara. Ancangan penelitian menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif. Adapun sumber datanya, yakni tokoh masyarakat, guru, dan praktisi yang mengetahui dan memahami cerita lisan legenda desa Bandungharjo Jepara. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, perekaman, pencatatan, pemotretan, dan transkripsi. Keabsahan data melalui triangulasi narasumber, waktu, dan teknik, dan waktu. Analisis data menerapkan teori motif Alan. Hasilnya bahwa cerita legenda desa Bandungharjo memiliki struktur cerita yang sederhana dan memiliki nilai karakter berupa nilai religius, nasionalisme, mandiri, gotong royong, dan integritas. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa cerita legenda desa Bandungharjo merupakan representasi nilai karakter. Oleh sebab itu, cerita legenda desa Bandungharjo dapat dijadikan role model untuk penanaman nilai-nilai karakter bagi siswa atau masyarakat pada umumnya.

Abstract

Literary works play an important role as a medium for criticism of environmental degradation and human behavior towards nature. This study aims to analyze the ecological dimensions in Tere Liye's novel Pulang Pergi through the lens of literary ecology. Unlike previous studies, this study specifically explores the integration of ecocultural and ethnoecological concepts in action-crime genre narratives. The method used is descriptive qualitative with Cheryll Glotfelty's ecocritical approach. Data was collected through reading and note-taking techniques, then analyzed using dialectical methods to connect the facts in the text with the reality of the global ecosystem. The results show that the novel Pulang Pergi represents ecological imbalance due to the dominance of technology and destructive human ambition, as reflected in the setting of a nuclear reactor exclusion zone and land exploitation. However, the narrative also offers hope through traditional knowledge and ethnoecology as a path to sustainability. These findings confirm that popular literature can be a critical instrument in voicing contemporary environmental issues and building readers' ecological awareness.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi karena alasan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa Kelas IV belum sesuai target yang diharapkan. Bahan ajar pembelajaran membaca kurang menarik sehingga siswa bosan. Pembelajaran masih terpusat pada guru meskipun telah menggunakan Kurikulum 2013. Kreativitas guru dalam membuat atau menentukan media belajar kurang sesuai minat siswa.  Bahan ajar yang digunakan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman kurang menarik minat siswa. Guru belum bisa memaksimalkan daya konsentrasi siswa yang sebentar dengan pembelajaran yang efektif membuat kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa belum tercapai optimal. Metode penelitian adalah penelitian kuantitatif dalam bentuk penelitian eksperimen dengan desain Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan tes. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa di SDN 1 Sidomulyo Sedan Rembang, SDN 1 Sedan Rembang dan SDN 1 Menoro Rembang. Teknik sampling dengan purposive sampling. Analisa data menggunakan uji Paired Sample Test. Hasil analisa efektivitas didapatkan nilai sig sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 sehingga menunjukkan adanya pengaruh efektivitas atau dengan kata lain Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Pengembangan Buku Cerita Rakyat Rembang efektif dalam Pembelajaran Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman Siswa Kelas IV.

Abstract

Analisis kebutuhan dilakukan dalam mengawali penelitian ini. Berdasarkan hasil analisis kebutuhan siswa yang diperoleh dari wawancara dan observasi diketahui bahwa kemampuan menulis narasi siswa kelas V belum memenuhi kompetensinya, kemampuan guru dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran kurang sehingga media yang digunakan kurang menarik dan membuat siswa merasa bosan, belum tersedianya media pop up book yang dikembangkan di sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis kebutuhan pengembangan media, menghasilkan desain produk, menganalisis kelayakan. Metode penelitian dengan desain Research and Development yang meliputi 10 langkah yaitu; (1) Penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi, (2) perencanaan penelitian, (3) Pengembangan produk awal, (4) validasi desain produk, (5) revisi desain produk tahap I, (6) uji coba terbatas, (7) revisi produk tahap II, (8) uji coba lapangan, (9) Penyempurnaan Produk Akhir, (10) Diseminasi. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Instrumen penelitian berupa wawancara/observasi, angket, dan validasi produk instrumen. Hasil penelitian analisis kebutuhan menunjukkan bahwa guru dan siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar membutuhkan media pop-up book. Desain pengembangan dilakukan melalui proses perencanaan dan penyusunan desain dengan menentukan sampul dan menentukan tema Tradisi Rembang yaitu sedekah bumi, sedekah laut, kupatan, tong-tong-tek, sungkeman, mitoni dan nyadran. Validasi ahli materi memperoleh skor 18 dengan kategori sangat baik. Validasi ahli media memperoleh persentase 91,6% dengan kategori sangat layak. Angket respon siswa memperoleh skor 93% sehingga media pop-up book memperoleh respon positif. Angket respon guru memperoleh 94,7% sehingga masuk dalam kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengembangan Bahan Ajar Tematik Berbasis Situs Sejarah untuk Pembelajaran Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman Siswa Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Desain penelitian Research and Development yang terdiri dari 10 langkah yaitu Research and Information Collecting, Planning, Develop Preliminary Form of Product, Preliminary Field Testing, Main Product Revision, Main Field Testing, Operational Product Revision, Operational Field Testing, Final Product Revision, Disemination and Implementation. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa wawancara, observasi, angket, tes, dan instrumen validasi produk. Analisis data kuantitatif dan kualitatif bersifat deskriptif. Hasil observasi pembelajaran guru tidak menggunakan media pembelajaran, semua anak kurang tertarik dan kurang aktif. Hasil observasi siswa menunjukkan kurangnya pemahaman terhadap materi yang disampaikan, kurang aktif. Hasil observasi guru, tidak menggunakan materi yang mudah, tidak menggunakan media yang runtut,. Pengembangan bahan ajar menyusun materi, langkah-langkah, langkah-langkah penggunaan bahan ajar, menyusun kompetensi dasar (KD), kompetensi inti (KI) dan indikator. Uji kelayakan dengan validasi ahli media memperoleh skor 95,8%, dalam kategori valid. Validasi ahli materi memperoleh skor 17,5 dengan kategori valid. Hasil angket guru menunjukkan 92% dalam kategori sangat suka. Hasil angket respon anak menunjukkan 136 atau 85% dengan kategori sangat suka. Pengembangan Bahan Ajar Tematik Berbasis Situs Sejarah untuk Pembelajaran Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman Siswa Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar memenuhi analisis kebutuhan, pengembangan memenuhi persyaratan layak dan valid.
