Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan prestasi belajar Bahasa Inggris di SMK PGRI 1 Surkarta. Peningkatan terdeteksi pada siklus ke 2 yang dilaksanakan di kelas XII Otomotif 1 SMK PGRI 1 Surakarta tersebut. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Penelitian dengan subjek siswa di SMK PGRI 1 Surakarta tersebut dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbasis lingkungan vokasi. Penjaringan data untuk hasil belajar, menggunakan tes, dan untuk mengetahui sikap belajar di lingkungan vokasi menggunakan angket. Sumber data lain diperoleh melalui analisis dokumen. Hasil dari penelitian diperoleh data di siklus 1 adalah nilai rata rata prestasi belajar adalah 55 masih di bawah KKM yaitu 60 yang ada di sekolah tersebut. Untuk siklus ke 2 memperoleh data dari hasil tes setelah perlakuan mengalami peningkatan sebesar 63. Ada peningkatan dibanding siklus 1. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, maka disebutkan bahwa model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) mampu meningkatkan prestasi belajar Bahasa Inggris siswa di SMK PGRI 1 Surakarta. Dengan demikian, model PBL layak diimplemantasikan pada pembelajaran terkhusus Bahasa Inggris di SMK.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan bagi guru sekolah dasar. Dengan menggunakan metode studi literatur, berbagai kendala, ekspektasi, dan kebutuhan guru terhadap program pengembangan profesional diidentifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru sekolah dasar menghadapi berbagai kendala dalam melaksanakan pengembangan profesional, termasuk keterbatasan waktu, beban kerja yang tinggi, dan kurangnya dukungan dari pihak sekolah. Namun, kebutuhan dan ekspektasi guru terhadap program pengembangan profesional sangatlah beragam, mencakup pelatihan dalam penggunaan teknologi pendidikan, pengembangan keterampilan mengelola kelas, pemahaman tentang kurikulum terbaru, dan dukungan psikologis. Selain itu, peran pemangku kepentingan, seperti pemerintah, sekolah, dan masyarakat, juga menjadi penting dalam mendukung pengembangan profesional guru. Dengan mempertimbangkan kendala-kendala yang dihadapi dan kebutuhan yang ada, disimpulkan bahwa implementasi program pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan yang efektif dapat meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran di tingkat sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan peran guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen dalam membentuk karakter kerohanian siswa dipasca pandemi covid-19 yang melanda. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakanmetode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA, dengan penjaringan data wawancara, dan dokumen. Untuk analisis data menggunkan Miles and Huberman, dan keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi. Adapun hasil kajian penelitian ini, guru dapat membentuk karakter kerohanian siswa di pasca pandemi dengan baik. Simpulan dalam penelitian ini maka guru dapat membentuk kerohanian siswa, guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen dapat mengajar dengan cara santai mendengarkan video, kelas online maupun dengan cara yang lain. Pendekatan yang digunakan di masa pandemi covid-19 menggunakan video, google classroom, dan aplikasi yang lainnya. Saran dalam penelitian ini adalah guru dapat membentuk kerohanian siswa di pasca pandemi, diharapkan siswa dapat menjadi pribadi yang lebih baik dan memiliki kerohaniaan yang baik

Abstract

Setiap individu membutuhkan pendidikan yang terstruktur dan terencana serta berkelanjutan. Untuk itulah pendidikan dikonstruksi dengan ancangan dasar berpikir yang jelas. Pada domain pendidikan Kristen dikonstruksi berdasarkan konteks teologis yang bersumber pada Alkitab (khususnya tulisan ini pada ajaran para rasul). Konteks teologis itu menjadi sistem kendali belajar yang dapat dipertanggung jawabkan. Pendidikan Kristen berorientasi pada transformasi tatanan sosial yang memberikan habitus harmonis dan dinamis sebagai individu-individu yang membawa terang dalam dunia melalui pendidikan agama kristen. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis deskripsi kualitatif (studi pustaka). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah membaca buku yang berkaitan, mengambil informasi melalui internet (jurnal ilmiah, artikel) berkaitan dengan materi yang dibahas, kemudian menganalisis data yang didapatkan dan menjelaskannya. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah formulasi ajaran para rasul menjadi dasar pendidikan agama kristen yang dilakukan pada saat ini atau dalam kontekstualisasi ajaran para rasul masih dapat diterima dan dipertanggung jawabkan sebagai dasar teologis (yang tidak menolak kemampuan kognitif individu pendidik) sebuah pendidikan kristen. Pendidikan agama kristen (PAK) memiliki dasar yang jelas dari sumber yang kekal yaitu Allah Pencipta. Pendidikan agama Kristen tetap memperjuangkan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan manusia yang memberikan pejelasan tentang konsep individu yang mendapatkan kemerdekaan dari kasih karunia Allah.

Abstract

Learning motivation plays a crucial role in all aspects of education. Therefore, this research aims to determine the impact of understanding the Word of God on students' learning motivation within the context of a Theological College. The Word of God holds a key role in cultivating students' learning motivation, as it is understood as the voice of God. The Word of God is also used for educating in truth, rebuking, and improving the lives of every individual. The objectives of this study are to understand the influence of understanding the Word of God on learning motivation, to determine the significance between learning motivation and student achievement in the Theological College environment, and to explore the influence of students' understanding of the Word of God on the improvement of learning quality within the Theological College. This research utilizes a qualitative method with a literature review approach. The method not only mentions the research itself but also includes the subjects/objects and analysis. The study results indicate that students who rely on the Word of God will experience an impact on their learning motivation and achievement. Therefore, to enhance the quality of Theological students' learning motivation, students must have a good ability to rely on the Word of God to create a compelling and optimal learning atmosphere, thus improving the quality of education in the Theological College.

Abstract

The role of the Christian Religious Education teacher has an important role in helping the spiritual growth of students in the educational sphere. The role of the Christian Religion teacher is basically very much needed and has a large correlation to the behavior of students. The role of religious teachers is very important in the life of mankind, especially Christians. Religious education, more specifically Christian religious education is very important to be applied in increasing spiritual potential, thereby helping students to become human beings who believe and obey God. Based on the results of this study, teachers need to pay attention to every day behavior of their students and always be wise and act especially in terms of the role of the Christian Religion teacher.

Abstract

Writing journal is a part of problem occurring for student congregations in GKSI Mojogedang. This study aims to describe the implementation of a process approach in training members of the Indonesian Sangkakala Christian Church (GKSI) to write academic articles in English. The process approach focuses on the stages of writing, including pre-writing, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing. It is estimated that this method can improve the quality of writing and the confidence of participants. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through direct observation during the training process, in-depth interviews with participants and facilitators, and documentation of participants' written work. The results show that the process approach has a positive impact on improving the academic writing skills of church members in English. Participants showed improvement in their understanding of article structure, use of academic language, and ability to revise their work independently. In addition, this approach encourages collaboration, reflection, and active participation of participants in the writing process. The challenges faced include differences in educational backgrounds and limited training time. These findings suggest that the process approach is effective in non-formal contexts such as church communities, with the caveat that strategies must be tailored to the characteristics of the participants.

Abstract

The rapid growth of online English learning platforms has introduced new opportunities for language acquisition, yet maintaining student engagement and motivation remains a persistent challenge. Many learners experience reduced participation and limited knowledge retention in digital settings compared to traditional classroom environments. Addressing this issue, the present study investigates the effectiveness of gamified quizzes as a pedagogical strategy to enhance engagement, motivation, and retention among online English learners. A quasi-experimental design was employed with two groups: a control group that used a standard online platform and a treatment group that engaged with gamified quizzes incorporating points, badges, and leaderboards. Data on engagement were collected through participation frequency and time spent, while motivation was measured using pre- and post-intervention questionnaires, and retention was assessed through follow-up tests. Statistical analyses using independent-sample t-tests and ANOVA revealed significant differences between the two groups. The treatment group demonstrated higher engagement, stronger motivation, and improved retention outcomes compared to the control group. These results, supported by both tabular and graphical representations, highlight the pedagogical value of gamification in addressing motivational challenges and fostering meaningful learning. The study concludes that gamified quizzes serve not only as motivational tools but also as effective mechanisms to strengthen long-term knowledge retention in online English education. Implications for practice suggest that educators and digital learning designers should integrate gamification elements as a central feature of online platforms to optimize learner outcomes.

Abstract

Reading comprehension skill is important requirement that must be possessed by college students in learning English. To support college students reading skill development, the role of lecturer and learning materials are crucial. This research aims to find empirical evidence the effect of learning process, college students activities, university facilities, and lecturer activities on English reading skills. This study applied quantitative method with causally associative approach. College students majoring of Management, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Slamet Riyadi Surakarta were being populations in this study. The research sample consisted of 110 college students and was selected through the use of purposive sampling. Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) is used in the data analysis with SmartPLS. The result of this study indicate that learning process, university facilities and lecturer activities have significant effect on English reading skills in Faculty of Economics, Universitas Slamet Riyadi Surakarta. On the other hand, college students activities had no effect on English reading skills. The implication of this research is lecturer to be more creative in the use of technological media in learning that can make college students enjoy learning more. This research also provides valuable insights for educational institutions aiming to sustain and improve university quality by focusing on learning process and university facilities as key drivers of success.
