Abstract

This study was to determine the effect of workload and work stress on employee performance in PT PLN (Persero) Karebosi Customer Service Unit Makassar City. the sample of this study were 58 employees. This type of research is Quantitative research. The data used are primary data and secondary data obtained using the questionnaire distribution technique. The results of the study shows that there is a positive influence between the workload variable (X1) on employee performance (Y) and there is a negative influence between the work stress variable (X2) on the employee performance variable which can be shown through the multiple linear regression equation, namely Y = 38. 355 + 0.265 - 0.294 + e and has a significant effect with the t_ (calculated) value of each variable of 3.711> t_ (table) (X1) and -2.612> t_ (table) (X2), with a significance level of 0.003 <0.05 (X1) and 0.012 <0.05 (X2). The R Square value of 0.501 this figure shows that the workload variable and the work strea variable in this study contributed an influence of 50.1%.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) determine the effect of physical evidence on customer satisfaction, (2) knowing the effect of reliability on satisfaction consumers, (3) knowing the effect of guarantees on consumer satisfaction, and (4) determine the effect of responsiveness on consumer satisfaction. (5) Define the effect of empathy on consumer satisfaction, and (6) determine how physical evidence, reliability, assurance, responsiveness, and empathy all together affect consumer satisfaction Al Markaz Mixed Pickled Fruit on the Street Ranggong No. 8 Makassar City. The sample size of this study was 70 people. Research findings on physical evidence variables have no significant effect on consumer satisfaction with t-table < t count, namely -314 < 1.669. With t-table > t-count 1.759 > 1.669 then the reliability variable has a positive effect significant to customer satisfaction. With an it-table value of 0.505 <1.669 then the guarantee variable has no significant effect on customer satisfaction. With the value of t-table < t-count 0.540 < 1.669 the responsiveness variable is not significant effect on consumer satisfaction. With the t-table value > t count, namely 1.901 > 1.669, the empathy variable has a significant effect on customer satisfaction. This study shows that the variable evidence physicality, reliability, assurance, responsiveness and empathy are simultaneously influential significant effect on consumer satisfaction on Mixed Pickled Fruit Al Markaz Di Jalan Ranggong No. 8 Makassar City, proven by F test count 5.030 with probability value of 0.001 is smaller than the value of 0.005

Abstract

Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) often fail to achieve strategic goals due to a lack of attention to human factors, particularly employee well-being. This qualitative research analyzes the experiences of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) employees post-merger of three Islamic banks in 2021, focusing on the impact of M&A on employee wellbeing and coping strategies. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 15 employees from various levels and analyzed using a thematic approach. The research findings revealed that: (1) workload increased significantly post-merger, causing physical exhaustion and psychological stress; (2) career uncertainty and changes in organizational culture were the main sources of anxiety; however, (3) shared sharia values acted as cultural glue; and (4) wellbeing programs such as counseling and work flexibility proved effective in improving employee adaptation. This study contributes to the literature by showing that an employee well-being-based approach that integrates physical, mental, and spiritual aspects is the key to successful M&A in the Islamic banking industry. The practical implications emphasize the need for transparent communication, structured psychological support, and harmonization of shared value-based culture in the post-M&A integration process.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Labelisasi Halal dan Celebrity Endorser Terhadap Keputusan Pembelian Kosmetik Wardah pada mahasiswi Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Negeri Makassar. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah labelisasi halal dan celebrity endorser sedangkan variabel terikatnya adalah keputusan pembelian. Jenis penelitian yaitu penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswi aktif Fakultas Ekonomi UNM angkatan 2019 dengan jumlah populasi sebanyak 861 mahasiswi. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan didapatkan jumlah sampel sebanyak 100 responden. Tekik analisis datang yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linear berganda dengan menggunakan SPSS 25.00 for Windows. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh nilai dari Uji Korelasi Koefisien sebesar 0,716 yang menandakan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang kuat antar dua variabel. Dan R square sebesar 0,503 artinya variabel labelisasi halal dan celebrity endorser memberikan pengaruh sebesar 50,3% terhadap keputusan pembelian, dan selebihnya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Labelisasi Halal berpegaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian; 2) Celebrity Endorser berpegaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian.Kata kunci: Labelisasi Halal,Ccelebrity Endorser, Keputusan PembelianAbstract. This study aims to determine the Effect of Halal Labeling and Celebrity Endorser on Wardah Cosmetics Purchase Decisions on students of the Faculty of Economics, Makassar State University. The independent variables in this study are halal labeling and celebrity endorsers, while the dependent variable is purchasing decisions. This type of research is quantitative research. The population in this study were active students of the Faculty of Economics, UNM class of 2019 with a total population of 861 female students. Sampling using purposive sampling technique and obtained a total sample of 100 respondents. The coming analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 25.00 for Windows. The results of this study obtained the value of the Coefficient Correlation Test of 0.716 which indicates that there is a strong relationship between the two variables. And R square of 0.503 means that the halal labeling variable and celebrity endorser have an influence of 50.3% on purchasing decisions, and the rest is influenced by other variables. This study shows that: 1) Halal labeling has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions; 2) Celebrity endorsers have a positive and significant impact on purchasing decisions.Keyword: Halal labeling, Celebrity Endorser, Purchasing Decisions

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas pemuda Desa Rumbia, Kabupaten Jeneponto dalam memanfaatkan e-commerce dan manajemen pemasaran digital untuk produk UMKM lokal. Melalui metode pelatihan partisipatif yang menggabungkan ceramah interaktif, praktik langsung, dan pendampingan intensif, program ini berhasil meningkatkan signifikan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan nilai rata-rata post-test sebesar 78% dari baseline 42%, dengan 85% peserta berhasil membuat akun e-commerce dan mempublikasikan produk UMKM. Program ini juga memicu terbentuknya tiga kelompok usaha kolaboratif yang mengembangkan strategi pemasaran untuk produk unggulan desa. Tantangan utama yang teridentifikasi meliputi keterbatasan infrastruktur digital dan kebutuhan akan pendampingan berkelanjutan. Rekomendasi untuk pengembangan program meliputi: (1) ekstensi periode pendampingan, (2) kolaborasi dengan platform e-commerce, dan (3) penguatan kelembagaan melalui pembentukan digital hub desa. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa pendekatan pelatihan berbasis praktik efektif dalam memberdayakan pemuda desa untuk beradaptasi dengan ekonomi digital.

Abstract

This ethnographic case study examines the integration of traditional Bugis-Makassar cultural values into talent development practices within five private companies in Makassar, Indonesia. Using participant observation, focus group discussions, and in-depth interviews with 47 participants comprising executives, HR practitioners, and employees, this research explores how indigenous principles of siri' (dignity), pesse' (solidarity), and pangaderreng (customary governance) are systematically embedded throughout organizational talent management processes. The findings reveal comprehensive integration of these cultural values across the complete talent development lifecycle, from recruitment through retirement planning, demonstrating that traditional wisdom can enhance contemporary organizational effectiveness while maintaining cultural authenticity. The study shows that dignity-centered recruitment practices, solidarity-based collaborative systems, and consensus-driven governance structures create inclusive workplace environments that transcend ethnic boundaries while honoring local heritage. Organizations implementing these culturally-responsive approaches demonstrated enhanced employee engagement, strengthened organizational cohesion, and sustainable competitive advantages that extend beyond conventional human resource metrics. The research contributes to organizational behavior scholarship by providing empirical evidence that indigenous knowledge systems can be successfully operationalized within modern corporate structures without compromising efficiency or competitive positioning. For practitioners, this study offers a replicable framework for developing culturally intelligent talent management strategies that bridge traditional values with contemporary business demands. The findings suggest that effective organizational leadership in diverse cultural contexts may require thoughtful adaptation of indigenous wisdom rather than abandonment of cultural heritage, providing valuable insights for organizations operating in Southeast Asia and similar multicultural environments worldwide.

Abstract

This qualitative study explores the role of mindfulness in mitigating organizational change stress within a fintech company. Through in-depth interviews with 25 employees undergoing significant transitions, the research reveals that mindfulness practices enhance emotional regulation, foster adaptability, and improve team dynamics during periods of change. Participants reported that mindfulness created a "psychological pause button," helping them respond to stressors with greater clarity and resilience. However, the study also identifies limitations- mindfulness showed reduced effectiveness during existential threats like layoffs, and many employees struggled to maintain consistent practice during peak stress. The findings suggest that mindfulness initiatives are most impactful when integrated into daily workflows as micro-practices and supported by team-based approaches. This research contributes to the growing literature on workplace mindfulness by providing nuanced insights into its benefits and challenges during organizational change, particularly in high-pressure industries like fintech.

Abstract

In an era of relentless disruption, organizations face mounting pressure to safeguard employee well-being during transformative change. This qualitative case study investigates how empathic leadership sustains employee resilience in a technology-driven company undergoing structural reorganization. Drawing on in-depth interviews with 12 leaders and team members, the study identifies four key empathic behaviors: active listening, emotional validation, transparent communication, and personalized support. Findings reveal that leaders who consistently practice these behaviors foster psychological safety, mitigate burnout, and enhance collective adaptability. Participants emphasized that empathy transformed uncertainty into a shared challenge, with teams reporting heightened trust and collaboration. However, the research also uncovers tensions, including cultural biases that equate empathy with leniency and systemic barriers to personalizing support amid productivity demands. The study contributes to leadership and organizational behavior literature by framing empathy as a moral virtue and a strategic capability critical for navigating volatility. It calls for institutionalizing empathy through training, policy alignment, and metrics that value relational labor. Empathy leadership emerges as a scaffold for sustainable resilience by humanizing disruption, ensuring organizations thrive without sacrificing employee humanity.

Abstract

Penelitian kualitatif ini mengeksplorasi penerapan Agile Change Management (ACM) sebagai pendekatan humanis dalam transformasi organisasi di era digital, dengan menganalisis pengalaman 15 partisipan dari tiga perusahaan melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi partisipatif. Temuan mengungkap bahwa keberhasilan ACM - yang mampu meningkatkan kecepatan adaptasi organisasi sebesar 35-60% - sangat bergantung pada penciptaan lingkungan psikologis yang aman untuk bereksperimen, di mana 70% tantangan utama justru bersumber pada faktor manusia seperti resistensi terhadap perubahan dan pola pikir hierarkis. Studi ini menawarkan kerangka ACM berbasis nilai-nilai manusiawi yang menekankan pentingnya pendekatan empatik, sistem reward kolaboratif, dan kepemimpinan melayani (servant leadership), dengan kontribusi utama berupa perspektif baru yang memandang ACM bukan sebagai metodologi teknis semata, melainkan sebagai proses perubahan budaya yang berpusat pada manusia untuk mencapai transformasi organisasi yang lebih berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) implementation in human resource decision-making, particularly in the employee selection stage in Makassar City. Using a qualitative approach and case study method, this research explores the perceptions of HR practitioners and candidates regarding potential algorithmic bias in CV screening and virtual interviews. The findings reveal that while AI improves efficiency, it may also pose risks of hidden discrimination due to historical data bias and rigid system parameters. This study highlights the importance of balancing technological tools with human judgment to ensure a fair, inclusive, and ethical selection process. The results contribute theoretically to the discourse on algorithmic fairness and offer practical implications for organizations adopting AI in HR management.
