Abstract

This reseach aims to determine the application effect of guided inquiry laboratory model on students"™ logical thinking ability on the material of heat to electricity conversion. The population in this reseach were all students of class XII MIA at SMA Negeri 15 Bandarlampung for the 2019/2020 academic year. The technique used is purposive sampling, so that the sample in class XII MIA 1 is obtained in the form of a one group pretest-posttest design. The process of collecting data using interview techniques as a preliminary study and through pretest-posttest. The test question used is the Logical Thinking Test which measures five indicator"™s of logical thinking. Hypothesis testing is done by using Paired Sample T-Test. The results of the analysis showed that the average difference between the posttest and pretest scores was 30.80 for all indicators. Data analysis also obtained an average n-gain of 0.55 which is included in the medium category. The n-gain test was also carried out on each indicator and was in the medium category. The variable controlling indicator shows n-gain of 0.65; probabilistic reasoning of 0.66; correlational reasoning of 0.62; proportional reasoning of 0.51; and combinatorial 0,36. Based on the entire analysis test, the results of the reseach showed that there was a significant effect of applying the guided inquiry laboratory model on the students"™ logical thinking ability on the material of heat to electricity conversion.

Abstract

Computational thinking ability is one of today's problem-solving methods that can be applied in physics learning. However, it is not yet known by most teachers so it has not been applied optimally in learning activities. This study aims to identify students' problem-solving and computational thinking abilities in solving well-structure physics problems. The subject of this study was the eleven grade majoring in natural science of SMAN 1 Bangunrejo. This type of research is descriptive research. The data used to analyze the students' problem-solving and computational thinking abilities were obtained from the essay test. Based on the results of descriptive analysis, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between students' problem-solving abilities and students' computational thinking abilities. In making a useful description, abstraction and decomposition abilities are needed, while to determine the physics approach and specific application of physics, generalization abiliy are needed. In solving mathematical procedures, algorithm ability are needed and to find out logical progressions, debugging ability are needed.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the validity of the e-worksheet based on the Expression Learning model to construct students' computational skills in direct current electric circuit material. This research was development research using Design, Development, and Research (DDR) which consisted of the analysis, design, development, and evaluation stages and used the mixed method to analyze the data. The instrument used to determine the validity of the developed e-worksheet product was an e-worksheet validation sheet. The e-worksheet validation sheet consisted of product and constructs design validity sheets which were validated by five experts who judged that the developed e-worksheet is very valid, with an average score for the construct validation test of 91.5% and an average score for design test validation of 89%. The research findings showed that ExPRession learning model-based e-worksheet assisted with Heyzine to construct computational thinking skill in direct current electric circuits material is very valid. This study provides evidence that applying the ExPRession learning model to the e-worksheet can construct students' computational thinking skills as one of the skills needed in the 21st century by teaching students the use of Microsoft Excel.

Abstract

The development of science and technology has become very sophisticated, where science and technology has had a significant impact on various areas of life, especially education. In this modern era, teachers must be able to take advantage of developments in technology and information in learning, for example using it as a learning medium to convey learning material to students. In fact, in schools the use of learning media to attract students' attention has not been implemented effectively and efficiently. So this research aims to develop a valid, practical and effective problem-based e-Module on temperature and heat material to train students higher order thinking skills. This research uses the Design and Development Research type of research which consists of four research stages, namely analysis, design, development, and evaluation using assessments of validity tests, practicality tests consisting of readability tests, student response tests, and perception tests. teachers, the effectiveness test consists of a normality test, N-Gain, and Paired Sample T-Test. In the validity test results, an average score of 3.50 was obtained in the very valid category. The results of the practicality test in the readability test obtained an average score of 82.64, which was categorized as very readable, in the student response test, an average score of 82.7 was obtained, which was categorized as very good, and in the teacher perception test, an average score of 83,3 was obtained which is categorized as very good. Meanwhile, for the effectiveness test based on the results of the students' N-Gain pretest-posttest, an average score of 0.45 was obtained in the medium category.
