Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bentuk ujaran kebencian serta makna pragmatik yang muncul dalam komentar netizen pada platform TikTok terkait kasus viral Gus Elham. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif melalui pengumpulan data berupa komentar yang mengandung unsur penghinaan, sarkasme, dan provokasi. Data diperoleh melalui teknik tangkap layar, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ujaran kebencian muncul dalam berbagai bentuk, mulai dari ejekan terhadap fisik dan identitas hingga komentar yang memancing penilaian negatif. Analisis pragmatik mengungkap bahwa tuturan tersebut tidak hanya dibentuk oleh pilihan kata, tetapi juga dipengaruhi oleh konteks sosial, emosi kolektif, serta pola interaksi pengguna di ruang digital.

Abstract

In this research, researchers took stories from the Baduy community of Ciboleger village. There are various types of speech that undergo the affixation process. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, namely research in which the analysis is presented in the form of written descriptions accompanied by explanations and explanations. The data source in this research is the Baduy community. Data collection techniques in research use observation techniques, interview techniques, recording techniques, and skilled free-involved listening techniques. In this research, after the data analysis process was complete, the researcher carried out data validity. The way to check whether the data is valid or not is through a validator. The results of the research can be concluded that the speech of the Baduy people of Ciboleger Village was found to have undergone a lot of data that underwent an affixation process. The findings produced in the research regarding affixations in the speech of the Baduy community of Ciboleger Village totaled 26 data as follows: (1) prefix affixations totaling 11 data; (2) suffix affixation of 8 data; (3) Confix affixation of 7 data.

Abstract

The video content on the Bintang Emon Instagram account is content that is exclusively uploaded on Instagram social media. Bintang Emon's video content is different from other creators' content, he creates comedy content with the aim of criticizing the government or giving opinions about hot political phenomena. Bintang Emon's Instagram account is currently followed by 6 million users on Instagram. Bintang Emon's content tends to trigger comments from its users, and they often exchange opinions in their uploads. Therefore, the author is interested in researching the meaning relationships in video content on the Bintang Emon Instagram account and its use in learning Indonesian in high school. The method used is a qualitative method with integrated analysis techniques. The approach used is a semantic approach with the hope of being able to interpret the meaning relationships of the words, phrases, clauses and sentences displayed. The results of this research are 6 types of detailed meaning relations, namely: (a) synonymous meaning relations for 3 pieces of data; (b) antonymy meaning relations of 9 data; (c) polysemy meaning relationship of 2 data; (d) ambiguous meaning relationship between 3 pieces of data; (e) hyponymy meaning relationship for 1 piece of data, and; (f) redundancy meaning relationship of 5 pieces of data. The implication in learning Indonesian regarding poetry texts in class 10 (high school level) is that it is hoped that it will make it easier for students to understand and even write poetry texts, where both have the same characteristics, namely that they both use meaning relations in the form of synonymy and homonymy.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the implications contained in the Billboards for Prospective Legislative Candidates/DPRD in Serang Regency in 2024 and its implementation in Indonesia language learning in junior high school. This implication analysis research uses a qualitative research method. The data collection technique uses observation techniques, documentation techniques, and note-taking techniques. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique in this study uses data reduction techniques, presentation of data analysis results, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study found: (1) The types of implications contained in billboards for prospective Legislature/DPRD candidates in Serang Regency in 2024 are conventional implications and conversational implications. (2) The function of the implications contained in the billboards of prospective Legislative Candidates/DPRD in Serang Regency in 2024 is that in the conventional implication data, it is found that the types of speech acts of the commissioner promise, directive to invite, directive to ask or beg, assertively inform, and assertively suggest. Meanwhile, in the data on the implication of the conversation, it was found that the types of speech acts were assertive, directive to invite, commission to promise, and assertive to inform. (3) The results of the research are used as an implementation in Indonesian learning in grade VIII (eight) junior high school by creating a teaching module on the material of recognizing messages in commercial advertisements.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan fitur bahasa perempuan oleh tokoh perempuan dan tokoh laki-laki. Penelitian ini juga berupaya membandingkan perbedaan fungsi dan tujuan penggunaan fitur bahasa perempuan oleh tokoh perempuan dengan tokoh laki-laki dalam film Dua Hati Biru karya Gina S. Noer dan Dinna Jasanti. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengambilan data berupa teknik simak, catat dan dokumentasi. Data yang digunakan berbentuk percakapan yang mengandung fitur bahasa perempuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tokoh perempuan menggunakan 8 dari 10 fitur bahasa perempuan. Tokoh laki-laki menggunakan 4 dari 10 fitur bahasa perempuan. Hal ini turut membuktikan bahwa bahasa yang disebut sebagai bahasa perempuan memang lebih sering ditemukan dalam tuturan perempuan meskipun tidak menutup kemungkinan ditemukan juga dalam tuturan laki-laki. Selain itu, peneltian ini juga sampai pada temuan bahwa tokoh perempuan dan tokoh laki-laki menggunakan fitur bahasa yang sama tetapi dengan fungsi dan tujuan yang berbeda. Perbedaan tersebut berhasil memberikan gambaran bagaimana bahasa dapat mengungkap identitas gender penggunanya. NOER AND DINNA JASANTI (SOCIOLINGUISTIC STUDY)   ABSTRACT: This study aims to describe the use of feminine language features by female and male characters. This study also attempts to compare the differences in function and purpose of the use of feminine language features by female characters and male characters in the film Dua Hati Biru by Gina S. Noer and Dinna Jasanti. This study uses a qualitative research method with data collection techniques in the form of listening, note-taking, and documentation. The data used are in the form of conversations containing feminine language features. The results show that female characters use 8 out of 10 feminine language features. Male characters use 4 out of 10 feminine language features. This also proves that language referred to as feminine language is indeed more often found in female speech, although it does not rule out the possibility of being found in male speech as well. In addition, this study also found that female and male characters use the same language features but with different functions and purposes. These differences successfully provide an illustration of how language can reveal the gender identity of its users. KEYWORDS: language features; film; gender; sociolinguistics

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis bentuk-bentuk interferensi bahasa Inggris dalam karangan siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) yang pernah tinggal di luar negeri (eks-residensi). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis isi. Prosedur penelitian meliputi tahap pengumpulan data, pengolahan, analisis, dan interpretasi terhadap data berupa karangan siswa yang memiliki pengalaman tinggal di negara berbahasa Inggris selama lebih dari lima tahun. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa interferensi bahasa Inggris muncul secara nyata pada tiga aspek kebahasaan, yaitu leksikal, sintaksis, dan idiomatik. Interferensi leksikal tampak dalam penggunaan langsung kosakata bahasa Inggris, pada aspek sintaksis, interferensi terwujud dalam bentuk penyusunan kalimat yang mengikuti struktur bahasa Inggris, sementara interferensi idiomatik muncul melalui penggunaan frasa dan ungkapan khas bahasa Inggris tanpa padanan yang sesuai. Faktor penyebab interferensi meliputi dominasi bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa utama selama tinggal di luar negeri, kurangnya pembiasaan menulis dalam bahasa Indonesia setelah kembali, dan keterbatasan penguasaan kosakata serta struktur gramatikal bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

This mixed-methods study investigated the effects of a flipped classroom model on writing performance and critical thinking dispositions among EFL learners. Seventy-four third-year English language teaching students from a university in Indonesia participated in a 14-week quasi-experimental design, with 38 students in the flipped experimental group and 36 in a traditional control group. Data sources included pre- and post-intervention writing samples scored using IELTS band descriptors, the California Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory (CCTDI), semi-structured interviews, and reflective journals. Quantitative analyses revealed significantly larger gains for the experimental group in both writing (mean increase of 1.47 bands versus 0.53, Cohen's d = 0.99) and overall critical thinking dispositions (mean gain of 31.81 points versus 8.52, Cohen's d = 1.07). Subscale analysis showed the largest effects for Truth-seeking, Analyticity, and Confidence in reasoning, with more modest gains for Systematicity and Inquisitiveness. Four themes emerged from qualitative analysis: the cognitive affordance of pre-class preparation, reconceptualization of writing as thinking, social production of thought through peer interaction, and dispositional shifts as identity work. Findings suggest flipped environments can foster both writing development and critical thinking dispositions, though effects vary considerably across learners. The study contributes to understanding mechanisms underlying flipped learning while highlighting the importance of attending to individual differences and the social dimensions of cognitive development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh maraknya penggunaan meme sebagai bentuk komunikasi dan ekspresi sosial di media digital, khususnya di kalangan mahasiswa. Meme tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai hiburan, tetapi juga menjadi medium untuk menyampaikan kritik, sindiran, dan pandangan terhadap realitas kehidupan kampus. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis makna denotasi dan konotasi dalam postingan meme akun Instagram @dpm_untircoy dengan menggunakan teori semiotika Roland Barthes. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan data berupa teks dan gambar dari sepuluh meme yang diunggah pada Agustus—Oktober 2025. Teknik yang digunakan ialah teknik simak, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan dengan metode padan ekstralingual menggunakan teknik Pilah Unsur Penentu (PUP) dan Hubung Banding Membeda (HBM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meme-meme tersebut merepresentasikan berbagai realitas sosial mahasiswa, yakni (1) tekanan akademik, (2) budaya menunda tugas, (3) perbedaan perspektif antara mahasiswa baru dan lama, (4) kritik terhadap birokrasi kampus, serta (5) ekspresi psikologis mahasiswa. Meme menjadi sarana komunikasi visual yang mencerminkan cara berpikir, emosi, dan budaya mahasiswa di lingkungan kampus.

Abstract

Reading literacy is not just about being able to spell or read, but it is also a very important skill in learning and everyday life. By having this ability, a person can understand and then be able to obtain information more effectively, develop knowledge, and understand other people's perspectives and experiences that can enrich their thinking and broaden their scientific horizons. This research on the implementation of the GLS programme aims to conduct a literature review on the implementation of the School Literacy Movement (GLS) programme in primary schools. In this study, researchers referred to articles or journals using the keyword ‘School Literacy Movement’ in the Google Scholar database. This research was conducted with stages, starting from article collection, article reduction, presentation, and discussion. This article is the result of an analysis based on the literature on the subject being discussed. The research method used in this study is the SLR (Systematic Literature Review) method. The findings of the SLR study which analysed 15 articles showed that the School Literacy Movement must start early, starting from habituation development, and implementation, and the role of parents should not be ignored in the implementation of this GLS.

Abstract

Banten people in Indonesia speak two different local languages: Banten Javanese and Banten Sundanese. In reality, it demonstrates that both languages share similarities in phonological and morphological patterns. The purpose of this study is to investigate the language kinship and dialect variations that occur within these local languages. This research employed a case study that involved eight native speakers of Banten Javanese from Serang, as well as eight native speakers of Banten Sundanese from Pandeglang and Lebak. In this study, non-participant observation was used to investigate the dialect variation used among the respondents. Then, semi-structured interviews and documentation were used to analyze the language kinship and separation time between Banten Javanese and Sundanese. The data were analyzed using Miles et al.s model in combination with Swadeshs lexicostatistical technique. The results revealed that (1) 51 pairs of identical words share both morphemic and phonemic similarities; (2) glottochronological estimates suggest that the separation of these local languages from the proto-language occurred between 1171 and 311 BC; and (3) regional dialects are the primary influence on the dialectal variation of these languages. Since these local languages are widely spoken in Banten, the findings reveal important linguistic relationships among local languages, emphasize the role of regional factors, and determine the value of glottochronology in tracing language development and variation
