Abstract

This literature review explores the relationship between promotion and employee work performance within the context of regional water service companies. Promotion is often used as a motivational tool in organizational settings, aiming to reward achievements and encourage higher performance. However, the effectiveness of promotion policies varies depending on organizational culture, fairness, and the clarity of performance metrics. Through thematic analysis of existing research, this study finds that while promotion generally has a positive impact on motivation and commitment, its benefits can diminish when the process lacks transparency or objective criteria. The findings highlight the importance of merit-based promotion systems, coupled with training and support, to ensure that employees succeed in their new roles. This review provides insight for regional service organizations aiming to improve employee performance through well-structured human resource strategies.

Abstract

The development of small-scale renewable energy manufacturing in developing countries significantly contributes to sustainable energy access and local economic independence. However, this manufacturing sector poses occupational health and safety (OHS) risks that are often overlooked, particularly regarding chemical exposure, technical dust, and informal working conditions. This article presents a systematic literature review to identify these risks from a public health perspective and assess the social, economic, and regulatory factors influencing working conditions. Findings reveal that OHS aspects are frequently neglected in small-scale renewable energy technology development, potentially leading to long-term health impacts, especially for women and young workers in the informal sector. The article recommends developing contextualized OHS guidelines, safety training programs, and healthy workspace design as mitigation strategies. A cross-sectoral approach involving government, academia, and industry stakeholders is essential to ensure safe and sustainable renewable energy manufacturing.

Abstract

The dynamics of investor sentiment play a crucial role in the formation of capital market volatility, especially when psychological factors distort the supposedly rational decision-making process. In the perspective of behavioral finance, market behavior is influenced by collective emotions, cognitive biases, and information imperfections, which directly affect asset price movements and market stability. A secondary data-driven analysis from the period 2018 to 2023 of Indonesia's capital market indices indicates a significant correlation between fluctuations in investor sentiment and the level of market volatility. With the ARCH-GARCH model approach, it was identified that a surge in positive sentiment tends to increase volatility in the short term due to the overreaction effect, while the dominance of negative sentiment is associated with more prolonged selling pressure due to the influence of loss aversion and herding behavior. These findings reinforce the argument that markets are not entirely informationally efficient, but rather are heavily influenced by the collective perceptions and psychology of market participants. The implications of this study include the need to strengthen financial literacy based on investor psychology, reformulation of risk management strategies by market participants, and the development of policy instruments that are able to anticipate behavioral deviations from market rationality.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of digital ergonomics and simulation-based design to optimize workstation layout and enhance operator performance in Industry 4.0 environments. A mixed-method approach was employed, combining digital time study, ergonomic risk assessments, and virtual simulation modeling to evaluate and improve work processes. The research found that ergonomic redesigns, supported by digital twin technology, resulted in significant improvements in both operator comfort and task efficiency, with a 16.6% reduction in cycle time and a 16% increase in work efficiency. RULA scores were reduced from 6 to 3, indicating a significant decrease in ergonomic risk. This study demonstrates the potential of predictive ergonomics and user-centered design in optimizing workplace safety and productivity within the context of modern manufacturing systems. The findings contribute to data-driven design methodologies that can be applied to a variety of industrial settings.

Abstract

The training on photovoltaic cell implementation at At-Taubah Islamic Boarding School, Tirtamulya, Karawang, aimed to enhance the students’ productivity through mastery of renewable energy technologies. This training was conducted as an empowerment initiative to enable students to independently apply photovoltaic cell technology to meet energy needs within the boarding school environment, while also equipping them with entrepreneurial skills in the renewable energy sector. The training methods included the delivery of basic material on photovoltaic cells, hands-on practice in assembling small-scale solar panels, and simulations of their use for lighting and simple equipment within the school. The results showed an 85% increase in students’ understanding of the working principles of photovoltaic cells, based on pre-test and post-test comparisons, along with improved skills in installing basic solar panel systems. Moreover, the training fostered student interest in developing solar panel installation and maintenance services within the surrounding community. Thus, this program contributed to enhancing the students' productivity and self-reliance while promoting clean energy utilization within the pesantren community.

Abstract

Abstract

Spring-back and spring-go are critical elastic recovery phenomena in sheet metal forming that affect the angular precision of bent components. This study investigates the influence of punch angle, die opening, and punch speed on these behaviors during the Vee-bending process of SCGA340BHX high-strength galvanized steel. A Taguchi design of experiments with an L8 orthogonal array was applied, and spring-back angles were measured and analyzed using the “smaller-is-better” signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio criterion. The results reveal that punch angle is the most influential parameter governing spring-back and spring-go tendencies, followed by die opening and punch speed. A punch angle of 50° and a die opening of 35 mm produced the highest average spring-back (3.03°), while spring-go behavior was observed primarily at higher punch speeds (35–40 mm/min). The study further confirmed the inverse relationship between bending force and spring-back, with lower forming forces correlating to greater elastic recovery. These findings provide a comprehensive understanding of the interdependence between geometric and kinematic factors in elastic recovery phenomena, offering quantitative insights for optimizing Vee-bending operations involving thin, high-strength steel.

Abstract

PT.
