Abstract

This research aims to study the design of the ecological corridor management pattern of Gunung Halimun Salak National Park (TNGHS) through the identification of population and distribution of conservation species, edge effect of road access within the corridor, preservation mitigation, status of non-conservation species, and assessment of land-use-based ecotourism. The methods used include Belt transect, hypothetical transect, Intensive Point Account (IPA), and descriptive survey techniques. The research was conducted from September to December 2023. The results showed that the population density of Javan Gibbon was 0.114 indv/ha, Surili was 0.024 indv/ha, which is very low compared to the population density of TNGHS, 26 non-conservation bird species, and 1 endemic species, the Javan Gibbon. The edge effect is caused by the frequency of vehicles passing through the corridor. The hypothetical transect shows that the land use allocation for tea plantations is the target of ecotourism, and agricultural land use supports the product. The model design emphasizes the creation of protection zones for primates and Javan Eagles in terms of mobilization and migration, mitigation of vehicle crossings during the day, as well as the initiation of ecotourism based on non-conservation species and landscape characteristics. In conclusion, the ecological corridor management modeling includes accommodating the protection of endemic and rare animals, monitoring non-conservation bird species, conservation mitigation through vehicle frequency control, limited ecotourism development with a natural orientation, and agricultural products. Scientifically the contribution of this research is to explain the implications of island geography theory in the sustainability of endemic species in metapopulations to avoid genetic flow deviations.

Abstract

The high workload of teachers causes stress and has an impact on their work effectiveness, and it is hoped that through stress management, teachers can increase their work effectiveness. This study aims to explore the influence of stress management on the work effectiveness of civil servant teachers in State Elementary Schools. The method used was quantitative, using SEM-PLS and SITOREM analysis. Data was collected through the distribution of questionnaires to 163 teachers who were randomly selected from 47 schools. The results of the study showed that the influence of stress management on teachers' work effectiveness was very small. This influence is not very significant in the model. with a track coefficient value of 0.058, T-statistic 1.308, and P-value 0.191. SITOREM analysis shows that the main indicators of teachers' work effectiveness are teaching motivation and teaching readiness, while in stress management, time management, and a healthy lifestyle are the top priorities. This study shows that although stress management has a theoretical contribution in supporting teachers' work, this factor is not the main determinant of teachers' work effectiveness. Educational organizations must focus more on improving professional competence, teaching motivation, and creating a conducive work environment, while still paying attention to the importance of stress management as an element that supports teachers' work effectiveness. Further research is suggested to explore the relationship between psychological, professional, and environmental factors in more depth, as well as involve qualitative methods to gain more comprehensive insights related to teachers' work dynamics.

Abstract

One of the problems in rivers is water pollution due to the discharge of waste directly into the river, which can reduce the quality of river water. The large number of natural stone processing activities in Dukupuntang District has the potential to become a source of river water pollution. The aim of this research is to analyze river water pollution due to the disposal of natural stone industrial waste in terms of physical, chemical and biological parameters, as well as determine the impact of river water pollution due to the disposal of natural stone industrial waste on the water quality of the Cigayam River. This research was carried out in Cangkoak Village, Dukupuntang District, Cirebon Regency. This research analyzes physical parameters (temperature, water brightness, water color, water smell, current speed), chemical parameters (pH, DO, BOD, COD) which are compared with class IV water quality standards based on Republic of Indonesia Government Regulation No. 22 of 2021 about Implementation of Protection and Enviromental Management, biological parameters (macroinvertebrates) identified using the electronic book Introduction to Southeast Asian Pond and River Invertebrates. The research results showed a decrease in river water quality with several test parameters that exceeded quality standards, namely pH, DO, BOD, COD. The water quality index value at stations 1 and 2 shows moderately polluted water quality, while station 3 shows dirty polluted water quality. This explains that the disposal of natural stone waste directly into rivers causes a decrease in water quality, one of which is due to the content of chemicals, such as metal elements or salts which can affect water quality. Thus, the pollution level of the Cigayam River is included in the moderate pollution level.

Abstract

One of the risks associated with climate change is carbon dioxide (CO2) emission, which can negatively affect human health and the ecosystem. The CO2 emission can lead to a decline in urban area quality that surpasses the environment's carrying capacity. This research aimed to investigate the relationship between CO2 Emissions from Transportation (X1), Household (X2), and Business Sector (X3) with the CO2 reduction of green open space (Y). The hypothesis is that there is a negative correlation between CO2 emissions from transportation, households, and businesses and CO2 reduction from green open spaces. A quantitative research design was adopted using the Slovin formula and cluster random sampling. The Normality and Homogeneity Tests are used to analyze research data. The study yielded the following results: first, the coefficient of determination (r2) = 0.003 indicates a relationship between CO2 emissions from transportation with CO2 reduction from green open space, with a 0.3% contribution. The second finding is that there is a 0.1% contribution from CO2 reduction from green open space to the CO2 emissions of households, as indicated by the coefficient of determination (r2) = 0.001. Third, a correlation of 0.1% between CO2 reduction from green open space and CO2 emissions from the Business Sector is indicated by the coefficient of determination (r2) = 0.001. Thus, using the regression equation Y = 2320.432 – 0.16X1 – 0,25 X2 – 0,007 X3, there is an overall significant relationship between CO2 emissions from transportation, CO2 emissions from households, and CO2 emissions from the business sector with the reduction of CO2 from green open space.
