Abstract

This research aims to develop interactive multimedia based on Problem Based Learning that can be installed on Android, and test the effectiveness of its use on the ability to analyse students' ecosystem material. This research is a type of Research and Development, this research was conducted at one of the Bogor Regency State High Schools with the research sample, namely IPA 6 class as the experimental class. The novelty of this research lies in the development of interactive multimedia based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) specifically designed for ecosystem material to improve the analytical skills of senior high school students, which has not been extensively explored in the context of science education. This development research procedure uses the (4D) model consisting of 4 stages, namely Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The field trial implementation used a one group pretest-postest research design. The techniques used were tests (pre-test and post-test), checklist questionnaire sheets, and documentation. The assessment results show that interactive multimedia gets a very feasible category. This is based on the average percentage of assessment from the expert validation team which is 87%. Interactive multimedia based on Problem Based Learning on android is proven to be effective in improving the ability to analyse students, with an N-gain value of 68.02 included in the medium category. This shows that interactive multimedia based on Problem Based Learning can improve students' analytical skills.

Abstract

This systematic literature review (SLR) examines the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum and pedagogical deep learning in Indonesian international school contexts, with a specific focus on Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur (SIKL). Guided by the PRISMA 2020 framework, this review synthesizes evidence from 20 peer-reviewed journal articles indexed in Scopus (Q1–Q4) and SINTA (1–6), published between 2020 and 2025. The review explores curriculum adaptation, instructional practices, teacher readiness, and learner outcomes conceptualized as Dimensi Profil Lulusan. The findings indicate that the Merdeka Curriculum aligns with global trends toward competency-based and learner-centered education, while pedagogical deep learning supports conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and transferable skills. Nevertheless, implementation in international school settings presents challenges related to curriculum coherence, professional development, and assessment alignment. This study contributes to international curriculum discourse by positioning Indonesian curriculum reform within the context of international schooling and deep learning pedagogy.

Abstract

To gain a deep understanding of the effectiveness of lecturer performance, an exploratory study was conducted by identifying five main variables that are considered to have a key role in improving lecturer performance, namely sharing tacit knowledge, organizational climate, organizational commitment and innovative behavior. The five variables were then tested quantitatively to build a lecturer performance model that is relevant to the dynamics of higher education and formulate more effective and sustainable strategies. This quantitative study involved 230 permanent lecturers at private universities in the Bekasi and Banten areas. Data collection was carried out through distributing questionnaires using the Partial Least Square - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis technique. The results of this study demonstrate that the lecturer performance model built has met the Goodness of fit criteria. The results of the hypothesis test confirm that tacit knowledge sharing, organizational climate, organizational commitment and innovative behavior have a significant positive effect on lecturer performance. While tacit knowledge sharing and organizational climate have a positive effect on organizational commitment. Furthermore, tacit knowledge sharing and organizational climate have a significant positive effect on innovative behavior. SITOREM analysis confirmed that improving lecturer performance can be done through strengthening the indicators of tacit knowledge sharing, organizational climate, organizational commitment, and innovative behavior that are already good, as well as updating indicators that are still lacking.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of teacher empowerment and rewards on teacher engagement through professional commitment. The research is motivated by the relatively low level of teacher engagement influenced by managerial and motivational factors within educational institutions. The objective is to analyze both direct and indirect effects of empowerment and reward systems on teacher engagement, with professional commitment serving as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach was employed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The respondents were secondary school teachers selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale. The research instrument measured four constructs: teacher empowerment (autonomy, participation in decision-making, access to resources), reward (financial and non-financial compensation), professional commitment (dedication, loyalty, responsibility), and teacher engagement (vigor, dedication, absorption). Validity was assessed through convergent and discriminant validity, while reliability was tested using Cronbach's alpha and composite reliability. The findings indicate that teacher empowerment has a positive and significant effect on professional commitment and teacher engagement. Rewards demonstrate a positive but relatively weak effect on engagement. Professional commitment significantly mediates the relationship between empowerment and teacher engagement.
