Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of implementing the discovery learning (DL) approach on improving students' writing skills in English subjects. The study employed a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design involving pre-tests and post-tests on two groups: a control group and an experimental group. The population of this study comprised 10th-grade students of Hospitality 1 and 2 at SMK N 6 Semarang in the 2024/2025 academic year, with Hospitality 1 as the control group and Hospitality 2 as the experimental group. In the experimental group, students were taught using the discovery learning (DL) approach, while the control group was taught without it. Data were collected through a writing test on recount texts and a closed questionnaire containing 15 questions to measure students' perceptions of the discovery learning approach. The data analysis, conducted using SPSS 27, revealed that the t-value (9.830) was greater than the t-table value (1.849) at a significance level of 0.025 with 27 degrees of freedom. This indicates that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, showing a significant effect of discovery learning on students' writing skills. The questionnaire results demonstrated that students responded positively to this method, stating that discovery learning helped them become more active and engaged in the learning process. In conclusion, implementing the discovery learning (DL) approach significantly improves students' writing skills, making it an effective alternative for enhancing writing abilities in English language learning. The implication of this study suggests that teachers are encouraged to integrate discovery learning into their teaching strategies to foster active student participation and achieve optimal learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study examines the importance of moral education for women, based on the teachings of Surah An-Nur, verse 31 in the Qur'an. The study aims to understand how Islamic education emphasizes moral cultivation as a guide for women, particularly in maintaining dignity and ethical conduct. Moral education in Islam focuses not only on personal aspects but also on social responsibility, aiming to develop women’s character with strong faith, piety, and moral integrity. This research employs a library study method with content analysis to explore relevant literature. The findings indicate that teachings on controlling one’s gaze, covering one’s body, and dressing modestly are fundamental in preserving women’s dignity. Moral education serves not only as a behavioral guide but also as a means of building a positive character that adapts to social changes.Overall, moral education for women in Islam is a comprehensive, continuous process. It aims to shape women who not only embody religious values but also contribute positively to society. This study offers insights into how moral education plays an essential role in strengthening the identity of Muslim women and supporting the creation of a more harmonious society.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Mengetahui Apakah Faktor Pengetahuan dan Faktor aksesibilitas berpengaruh terhadap keputusan mahasiswa Generasi Z di Kota Makassar dan Gowa dalam pengguanaan perbankan syariah untuk mendukung Pengololaan Keuangan Mereka. Dalam Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei yakni Pengisian Kuisioner, yang melibatkan 40 responden yang melibatkan mahasiswa yang berasal dari beberapa perguruan tinggi di Kota Makassar dan Gowa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji regresi linear berganda, dimana hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor pengetahuan dan faktor aksesibilitas secara bersama-sama mempengaruhi keputusan mahasiswa dalam memilih perbankan syariah. Hasil hipotesis (Uji t) menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan (X1) berpengaruh positif secara signifikan dengan nilai signifikansi 0,001, sementara aksesibilitas (X2) juga berpengaruh signifikan dengan nilai signifikansi 0,003. Secara simultan, kedua variabel ini berpengaruh terhadap keputusan mahasiswa dengan nilai R² sebesar 0,747, yang berarti 74,7% keputusan mahasiswa dalam memilih perbankan syariah dapat dijelaskan oleh variasi pengetahuan dan aksesibilitas. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi penting untuk pengembangan literasi keuangan syariah di kalangan mahasiswa generasi Z di Kota Makassar dan Gowa, serta mengidentifikasi pentingnya peningkatan pengetahuan dan aksesibilitas bank syariah dalam menarik minat generasi muda untuk bertransaksi menggunakan produk-produk perbankan syariah.

Abstract

Education is an institutional mechanism that can accelerate the development of national character. The factors that influence the decline of the Indonesian nation are mental decay and the collapse of morals, both in the older generation and also in the younger generation, both in the ranks of government and among the wider community. These things resulted in the Indonesian nation experiencing setbacks in various positions in the world. To overcome these problems, the Indonesian nation must foster and build life by instilling positive values ​​so that the Indonesian nation has a positive character and is able to compete with other countries in the era of globalization. The character of education that has great opportunities to carry out the process of fostering and developing humanity is education that is based on noble morals, namely Islamic education that combines 'aqidah, shari'ah, and morals in a learning structure that has an Islamic moral character. In overcoming the problems of national life, it is necessary to realize character education in educational development, both formal, non-formal and informal education, starting in the family environment, at the early childhood, childhood and adult levels. Inner improvement is the basis for external improvement, and external improvement will not be permanent unless it is carried out centrally and has an influence on inner improvement. One of the virtues of Al-Islam for humanity is the existence of a complete and consistent method in developing mental development, giving birth to generations, developing people and culture, and enforcing the principles of glory and civilization. Children's educators must continue to look for more effective methods, look for educational principles that are influential in preparing children mentally and morally, scientifically, spiritually and socially, so that children can achieve perfect maturity.

Abstract

Munculnya Putusan Mahkamah Konstitusi Nomor 96/PUU-XVIII/2020 berimplikasi pada jabatan hakim konstitusi yang jabatannya tidak berdasarkan periodisasi. Hal ini direspon oleh Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat dengan mengganti hakim Mahkamah Konstitusi yang berasal dari usulan lembaga Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat. Alasannya, hakim tersebut tidak sejalan dengan Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat yang berkali-kali membatalkan ketentuan undang-undang yang merupakan hasil legislasi Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat. Situasi ini menunjukkan bahwa ada konflik kepentingan (conflict of interest) karena menganggap hakim Mahkamah Konstitusi merupakan reprensentasi lembaga pengusul yang berpotensi mengganggu independensi dan mengingkari prinsip check and balances. Penulis menggunakan pendekatan hukum, kasus dan konseptual untuk menjawab permasalah yang sedang diteliti. Penggantian hakim Mahkamah Kontsitusi dengan dasar sering membatalkan ketentuan undang-undang yang merupakan hasil legislasi Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat merupakan bentuk intervensi terhadap independensi hakim. Hal ini merupakan bentuk penyipangan terhadap tujuan awal berdirinya Mahkamakah Kontsitusi yakni penguatan sistem check and balances dengan prinsip supremasi Konstitusi. Pengisian jabatan hakim Mahkamah Konstitusi yang melibatkan tiga cabang kekuasaan tidak dimaksudkan sebagai representasi kepentingan dari ketiga cabang kekuasaan tersebut tetapi untuk menjamin  imparsialitas dalam hubungan antar lembaga negara.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter menjadi aspek penting dalam membentuk siswa yang memiliki nilai moral dan sosial yang baik, terutama di tengah tantangan era globalisasi yang seringkali menyebabkan menurunnya rasa kepedulian sosial. Model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) menawarkan pendekatan yang menghubungkan materi pelajaran dengan konteks kehidupan nyata, mendorong siswa untuk aktif belajar dan menginternalisasi nilai sosial melalui pengalaman langsung. Dalam mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan (PPKn) di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI), penerapan CTL relevan untuk memperkuat karakter peduli sosial siswa, seperti empati, toleransi, dan kerja sama. Melalui metode pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman nyata, siswa tidak hanya memahami nilai-nilai sosial secara teori, tetapi juga mampu menerapkannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi penerapan model CTL dalam pembelajaran PPKn di MI, dengan harapan siswa dapat menjadi individu yang tidak hanya cerdas secara akademik tetapi juga memiliki kepedulian sosial yang tinggi.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference between learning to write poetry using the video critic method and learning to write poetry without using the video critic method and to determine the effect of the video critic method on the ability to write poetry in class X high school students. The type of research carried out is quantitative with an experimental method that uses a research design of Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population in this study were all students of class X SMA Nurul Iman Tanjung Morawa, with a sample consisting of two classes, namely class X IIS 1 as the control class and class X MIA 1 as the experimental class. Each class consists of 30 students who are selected using the Simple Random Sampling technique by means of a lottery. Data collection techniques are used in the form of pretest and posttest. The results showed that: 1) the average pretest score for the control class was 41.73 with a maximum score of 52 and a minimum score of 32 and an average post-test score for the control class of 66.13 with a maximum score of 76 and a minimum score of 56. while the acquisition of the average pretest value for the experimental class is 46.53 with a maximum value of 60 and a minimum value of 36 and the posttest average value for the experimental class is 70.33 with a maximum value of 84 and a minimum value of 60, 2) the results of hypothesis testing which was consulted with the table at a significant level of 5% with df = N - nr = (60-2) = 58, obtaining a t-table value of 2.39 which is smaller than t-count, which is 3.785 (3.785 > 2.39). So with a significant value of 0.00 <0.05, it indicates that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, 3) the results of the calculation of the value of d (large influence) obtain a value of 0.6 with the percentage of effect caused by 38.2% in the high category. Therefore, based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the video critic method has a high effect on the ability to write poetry in class X students of SMA Nurul Iman Tanjung Morawa in the 2021-2022 academic year.

Abstract

Abstract Data clustering is a data mining technique that aims to find hidden patterns in a dataset. The dataset used in this study was taken from the Kaggle public dataset on anxiety attacks. Anxiety disorder is a mental condition characterized by excessive and prolonged feelings of anxiety. Clustering anxiety disorders facilitates finding the cause, effect, and better treatment. Therefore, this study aims to group anxiety disorders using the K-Means and K-Medoids algorithms by considering attributes such as stress level, sleep patterns, and physical activity. The performance of the model is evaluated using the Davies-Bouldin Index (DBI). The results showed that the K-Means algorithm produced the lowest DBI value in cluster ten with an accuracy value of 2.331. This shows that the K-Means algorithm is able to identify significant patterns in anxiety disorder data. This study can be a recommendation for health professionals in making more precise diagnoses, understanding the characteristics of the causes of anxiety disorders. In addition, this study also supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals in an effort to improve the overall health and welfare of the community. Abstract

Research discusses the challenges and problems faced in law enforcement related to offences of the 2024 simultaneous general elections in Indonesia with a focus on Central Java Province. Through a constitutional law approach, this study explores how Badan Pengawas Pemilu (Bawaslu) plays a role in enforcing the law and preventing offences. The method used in this research is normative juridical with empirical and statutory approaches. Data were collected through a qualitative method by analyzing cases of offences that occurred in Central Java. The results showed that in law enforcement against election offences, Bawaslu Central Java Province focuses on efforts to prevent election offences, with handling offences as the last step if prevention fails. Handling of election offences can come from two sources: namely supervision by election supervisors and reports from the public. If the offence is registered, Bawaslu conducts clarification and if proven, the criminal case is forwarded to the police and the Gakkumdu center, while code of ethics offences are submitted to DKPP and for administrative offences, Bawaslu holds an examination hearing that results in a binding decision. Bawaslu in handling election offences is faced with three challenges, namely multi-interpretive election rules, criminal allegations and a culture of people who are reluctant to report. Constitutional law plays a role in setting clear procedures, such as clarification by Bawaslu, investigation by Sentra Gakkumdu and examination hearings for administrative offences. In practice, justice and consistency in the application of sanctions are still needed, strengthening firmer regulations, increasing institutional capacity and legal protection for reporters.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi penggunaan video animasi sebagai alat inovatif dalam mengajarkan kata kerja to be (am, is, are) kepada siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian dilakukan secara kualitatif deskriptif di SD Negeri 064976 Medan dengan melibatkan 20 siswa kelas tiga. Sebelum pembelajaran, banyak siswa mengalami kesulitan menggunakan to be dalam kalimat sederhana berbahasa Inggris. Setelah menyaksikan video animasi yang dirancang dengan konteks dan karakter yang sesuai usia, siswa mengikuti diskusi dan latihan menyusun kalimat. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman siswa dengan ketuntasan yang meningkat dari 40% menjadi 80%. Siswa juga menjadi lebih aktif, percaya diri, dan tertarik menggunakan bahasa Inggris. Kombinasi visual, narasi, dan situasi yang relevan menjadikan konsep tata bahasa yang abstrak lebih mudah dipahami. Studi ini menegaskan bahwa video animasi dapat menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang menyenangkan dan efektif serta mendukung prinsip-prinsip Kurikulum Merdeka.
