Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of Organizational Commitment, Work Discipline and Work Climate on Employee Performance at the Regional Civil Service Agency of West Papua Province. This research uses a quantitative approach, data collection uses a questionnaire, with a sample size of 60 respondents. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression, hypothesis testing is carried out using partial, simultaneous and dominant tests (Beta test). The research results show that Organizational Commitment, Work Discipline and Organizational Commitment play a positive and significant role in improving employee performance; Work discipline plays the most dominant role in employee performance at the West Papua Province Regional Civil Service Agency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengaruh kompetensi, keterlibatan kerja, dan etos kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan di Universitas Carita Indonesia Manokwari yang masih tergolong baru dan menghadapi tantangan peningkatan kualitas SDM. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana ketiga variabel tersebut memengaruhi kinerja karyawan baik secara parsial maupun simultan, serta mengidentifikasi variabel yang paling dominan. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan sampel karyawan sebanyak 45 orang. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya, lalu dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear berganda dan uji hipotesis yang meliputi uji parsial, simultan, dan dominan. Temuan mengkonfirmasi bahwa kompetensi, keterlibatan kerja, dan etos kerja berkontribusi positif dan signifikan terhadap peningkatan kinerja karyawan. Keterlibatan kerja ditemukan sebagai variabel yang paling berpengaruh. Implikasi penelitian ini memberikan arahan bagi pengelola sumber daya manusia untuk memprioritaskan pengembangan keterlibatan kerja, kompetensi, dan etos kerja dalam rangka memperbaiki kinerja secara efektif dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini juga memberikan dasar untuk studi lanjutan dalam pengelolaan kinerja di institusi pendidikan tinggi.

Abstract

The low students’ speaking ability in learning English on tourism concept demands the need for an innovative learning model which is the main problem in this research. The research aims to determine the effectiveness of project based learning (PjBL) model using local tourism videos in improving students' speaking skills. This type of research is a mixed method  with qualitative and quantitative analysis design. The data collection techniques used were observation, and students’ speaking tests. The data obtained were analysed descriptively and quantitatively. The results showed that the implementation of the PjBL model assisted by local tourism videos proved effective in improving students' speaking skills with the initial average pre-test value was 57.33 and the average post-test value was 82.85. The normality test value was 0.460 which was distributed normally while the hypothesis value was 0.05, that is mean H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, thus it can be concluded that there is an improvement on students’ speaking ability at tourism class students through the implementation of the PjBL model using local tourism videos

Abstract

This study examines the management of digitalization programs in "Sekolah Penggerak" (Driving Schools). The purpose of this research is to explore how digitalization program management is conducted at SDN 73 Sudu and SDN 132 Malele, focusing on planning, implementation, and supervision, as well as identifying the supporting and inhibiting factors in managing digitalization programs. The research method used is qualitative, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out in four stages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the planning of digitalization programs in "Sekolah Penggerak" at SDN 73 Sudu and SDN 132 Malele highlights the importance of a systematic approach to implementing digital transformation in educational settings. Several key aspects of digitalization planning were identified, including needs assessment, vision and mission formulation, teacher involvement in planning, budget allocation, and the principal’s role. In terms of program implementation, the utilization of various digital platforms such as the Merdeka Mengajar Platform (PMM), Educational Report, and ARKAS is supported by key integrated aspects, including teacher training and mentoring, adequate digital infrastructure, and collaboration among teachers through active and dynamic learning communities. Furthermore, the supervision aspect demonstrates a comprehensive approach encompassing technical, pedagogical, and managerial aspects. The supporting and inhibiting factors influencing the implementation of digitalization programs at SDN 73 Sudu and SDN 132 Malele include infrastructure, human resources, budget, policy, curriculum, and stakeholder support.

Abstract

This research examines the principal's leadership based on the Toraja local wisdom value, “Tallu Bakaa,” at SMAN 3 and SMAN 5 Tana Toraja. The background of this study is the shift of local cultural values due to globalization and the lack of research on the implementation of Tallu Bakaa value in school leadership. The purpose of this study is to describe how Tallu Bakaa value-based leadership is implemented and to identify factors that support and hinder its implementation. The methodology used was a qualitative approach with a multi-site case study design. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, passive participation observation, and documentation study. The results showed that Tallu Bakaa leadership is implemented through the cultivation of four main values: kinaa (noble character, wisdom, and religious observance), manarang (intellectual and emotional intelligence), barani (courage to make correct and responsible decisions), and sugi' (success as a result of the other three values). This implementation is manifested in exemplary leadership, discipline enforcement, and 3S (Smile, Greet, Greet) acculturation. The main supporting factors are the leadership competence of the principal, the synergy of the school community, and the culture of discipline. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are the uneven understanding of the value of Tallu Bakaa among the school community, the habituation process that takes time, and inadequate school facilities.

"“The Influence of the Use of Independent Training Features on the Ruang GTK (Teachers and Education Personnel) Platform on the Pedagogical Competence of Elementary School Teachers in Sabbangparu District, Wajo Regency”". Educational Administration Study Program, Postgraduate Program, Makassar State University. (supervised by Dr. Andi Makkasau, M.Si.. and Dr. Erma Suryani Sahabuddin, M.Si.). This study aims to determine the effect of utilizing the Self-Training feature on the Ruang GTK Platform on the pedagogical competence of elementary school teachers in Sabbangparu District, Wajo Regency. The background of this research is rooted in the transformation of the national education system, which requires teachers to be adaptive to technological advancements and the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. The Ruang GTK Platform, a rebranding of the Merdeka Mengajar Platform, provides a Self-Training feature designed to enhance teacher quality and professionalism through flexible and independent learning access. This research employs a descriptive quantitative approach using questionnaires and open interviews for data collection. The sample consisted of 75 homeroom teachers from Cluster IV of Sabbangparu District. The results show that the level of utilization of the Self-Training feature is high, as is the level of teachers’ pedagogical competence. Simple linier regression analysis revealed a positive and significant influence between the use of the Self-Training feature and the teachers’ pedagogical competence. Thus, it can be concluded that the utilization of the Self- Training feature on the Ruang GTK Platform significantly contributes to improving teachers’ pedagogical competence, especially in the areas of lesson planning, student- centered instruction, and constructive assessment and feedback. This study recommends optimizing the use of the Ruang GTK Platform as a sustainable means of professional development for teachers.

Abstract

A surplus of bananas in Pakuan Village has led the local community to process them into various banana-based products, one of which is banana chips. Banana chips are a processed food product with significant potential as a source of income for the people of Pakuan Village. However, the quality and production capacity of banana chips in the village still face several challenges, such as traditional and inefficient production processes, resulting in suboptimal product quality and limited production volume. The purpose of this community service activity is to conduct direct observation and apply technological innovations in the banana chip production process as an effort to improve both product quality and quantity. The method employed in this activity involves providing training and education to enhance skills in the application of technological innovations through hands-on practice, particularly using an oil-draining machine in the banana chip production process. The implementation of this appropriate technology has proven to be highly effective and efficient in improving the quality and production of banana chips in Pakuan Village, ultimately contributing to the welfare of the local community and increasing the competitiveness of the products in the market.

Abstract

Hutan Mangrove Lantebung di Kota Makassar telah ditetapkan sebagai kawasan ekowisata, namun pengembangannya masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penataan kawasan ekowisata Hutan Mangrove Lantebung berdasarkan persepsi pengelola dan masyarakat setempat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan dukungan data kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka, dan kuesioner dengan teknik purposive sampling terhadap 30 responden yang terdiri dari 5 pengelola dan 25 masyarakat lokal. Analisis data menggunakan tabulasi frekuensi untuk mengukur persepsi responden terhadap empat indikator: penataan kawasan, pelestarian, pengelolaan, dan fasilitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas responden (lebih dari 90%) menganggap penataan, pelestarian, dan pengelolaan kolaboratif kawasan mangrove sebagai hal yang "Sangat Penting". Responden juga menyoroti urgensi penyediaan fasilitas dasar seperti toilet, jembatan, dan tempat sampah untuk mendukung kegiatan ekowisata. Kesimpulannya, terdapat kesadaran tinggi dari pihak pengelola dan masyarakat akan pentingnya penataan kawasan secara berkelanjutan, namun implementasinya terkendala oleh kurangnya sarana dan prasarana yang memadai. Diperlukan sinergi antara pemerintah dan masyarakat untuk meningkatkan infrastruktur dan kapasitas sumber daya manusia guna mengoptimalkan potensi ekowisata Mangrove Lantebung. Kata Kunci: Ekowisata, Hutan Mangrove, Penataan Kawasan, Partisipasi Masyarakat.

Abstract

Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) memiliki peran strategis dalam menghasilkan sumber daya manusia yang kompeten dan adaptif terhadap kebutuhan dunia kerja. Untuk meningkatkan daya saing lulusan, diperlukan kolaborasi antara sekolah dan institusi pendidikan tinggi dalam menyediakan pembekalan yang relevan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan, kesiapan, dan orientasi karier siswa SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Palu dalam menghadapi tuntutan pasar kerja, baik di tingkat nasional maupun internasional. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui tahapan pra-sosialisasi, sosialisasi, serta diskusi interaktif menggunakan metode ceramah, visualisasi, dan tanya jawab. Materi yang diberikan mencakup edukasi pencegahan bahaya narkoba, penerapan pola hidup sehat, serta pemahaman mengenai prosedur kerja yang aman dan sesuai standar. Kegiatan berjalan efektif dengan tingkat partisipasi siswa mencapai 95%. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman siswa terkait risiko narkoba, strategi pencegahan, serta kesiapan mental dan keterampilan awal untuk memasuki dunia kerja. Secara keseluruhan, program ini berkontribusi pada penguatan kompetensi dan karakter siswa dalam menghadapi transisi ke dunia profesional.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan Strategi Humas dalam Menjalin Hubungan Kemitraan di SMK Kartika XX-1 Makassar serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam pelaksanaannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini meliputi kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah bidang humas, ketua bidang Praktek Sistem Ganda (PSG), dan ketua Bursa Kerja Khusus (BKK). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) strategi humas dalam menjalin hubungan kemitraan meliputi: (a) Strategi Operasional meliputi: penelusuran industri, penandatangan MoU dan pelibatan seluruh pemangku kepentingan; (b) Strategi Persuasif dan Edukatif, meliputi: pemanfaatan media sosial sebagai sarana sosialisasi potensi dan keunggulan sekolah sekolah serta kunjungan langsung ke industri; (c) Strategi Tanggung Jawab Sosial, meliputi: analisis kebutuhan mitra, pendidikan dan pelatihan peningkatan kompetensi siswa; (d) Strategi Kerja Sama, meliputi: model kerjasama menggunakan MoU, pelaksanaan PKL dan guru tamu; (e) Strategi Koordinatif dan Integratif, meliputi: koordinasi humas dengan pihak eksternal dan internal, dan pengawasan kegiatan kemitraan. (2) Faktor pendukung dan Penghambat: (a) Faktor pendukung, meliputi: kedisiplinan dan kompetensi siswa; (b) Faktor penghambat meliputi: ketidakkonsistenan kualitas siswa, dan perubahan cepat kebutuhan industri.
