Abstract

The river clean-up action around Surabaya is a conservation initiative that emphasizes river environmental cleanliness and responsible waste management. This activity involves various parties, including students, volunteers, local residents, youth, and local government, with the main goal of increasing collective public awareness of the importance of maintaining rivers as vital natural resources. This initiative also aims to minimize negative impacts on aquatic ecosystems and improve the quality of water available to local communities. Through the river clean-up action, the community receives education on good waste management methods and sustainable environmental hygiene practices. The method used is the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. The results of this activity show that the active involvement of students and the community has a positive impact on the sustainable condition of river cleanliness, including garbage around the roads and river flows that have become cleaner with the reduction of organic and inorganic waste collected around the river flow. This structured and sustainable educational program has been proven to improve students' and community's knowledge and behavior in maintaining river cleanliness. Based on these findings, synergy is needed between the government, educational institutions, and the community to support participatory and sustainable river ecosystem conservation in Surabaya.

Abstract

Environmental cleanliness is an important aspect in creating a healthy, safe, and comfortable community life. Cleanliness problems in Waru District, Sidoarjo Regency, arise due to low environmental awareness, minimal sanitation facilities, and community behavior patterns formed by social and cultural factors. The purpose of this activity is to analyze and find participatory solutions to community cleanliness problems through the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. The Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach emphasizes active community involvement in the process of problem identification, action planning, activity implementation, and continuous reflection of results. Data collection was carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, group discussions, and activity documentation. The results of the activity show that community participation in community service activities, community discussions, and the preparation of cleanliness programs resulted in increased environmental awareness, increased social solidarity, and the formation of a collective commitment to maintaining cleanliness. The provision of additional facilities such as waste bin arrangement, improved waste management systems, and the involvement of community leaders have a positive impact on the sustainability of the program. Based on this description, it can be concluded that the implementation of PAR is effective in building a culture of clean living because the community acts as both the subject and the primary partner in change. Active citizen involvement has been proven to strengthen environmentally conscious behavior and create sustainable cleanliness solutions.

Abstract

This study examines the protection of retail investors in the capital market using a normative legal approach, focusing on the authority of the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the disclosure obligations of issuers, and the available law enforcement mechanisms. The analysis was conducted through a review of primary legal materials in the form of capital market laws and regulations and secondary legal materials. The results of the study show that the legal framework has provided a broad set of tools to reduce information asymmetry and provide room for retail investors to recover their losses. The OJK has a regulatory and supervisory mandate that includes setting disclosure standards, monitoring compliance, conducting special examinations, and applying graduated sanctions. At the regulatory level, issuers' obligations are linked to accounting standards, audits, and the supervision of supporting professions, so that the quality of information can be tested through several layers of supervision. However, the effectiveness of protection is still influenced by the limited financial literacy and legal capacity of retail investors, the cost and time barriers to litigation, and institutional challenges in supervising an increasingly digitalised market. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the quality of information disclosure that is reader-friendly for small investors, increase the transparency of law enforcement by authorities, and develop more accessible dispute resolution mechanisms, including support for retail investor organisations as dialogue partners in the formulation of capital market policies oriented towards investor protection.

Abstract

  Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk kolaborasi antara mahasiswa dan masyarakat dalam mewujudkan lingkungan bersih dan sehat yang berkelanjutan di sekitar Universitas Sunan Giri Surabaya. Kolaborasi ini dipandang sebagai upaya strategis untuk meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan, memperkuat hubungan sosial, serta menumbuhkan rasa tanggung jawab bersama dalam menjaga kebersihan lingkungan. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR), yaitu metode yang menempatkan masyarakat sebagai subjek aktif dalam setiap tahap kegiatan, mulai dari mengidentifikasi permasalahan lingkungan, merancang program kerja, melakukan aksi lapangan, hingga mengevaluasi hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan. Beragam aktivitas dilaksanakan, seperti kerja bakti pembersihan area kampus, pemilahan sampah, pencabutan rumput liar, penyapuan jalan, serta edukasi mengenai pengelolaan sampah yang benar dan pentingnya perilaku hidup bersih di lingkungan dan sekitarnya. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa kolaborasi ini menghasilkan perubahan nyata, baik secara fisik maupun sosial. Lingkungan menjadi lebih bersih, rapi, dan bebas dari penumpukan sampah, sementara masyarakat menunjukkan peningkatan tingkat partisipasi dan kesadaran ekologis. Selain itu, hubungan sosial antara mahasiswa dan masyarakat semakin kuat melalui terciptanya budaya gotong royong yang berkelanjutan. Namun demikian, kegiatan ini juga menghadapi kendala seperti keterbatasan fasilitas kebersihan, faktor cuaca, dan kurangnya kesadaran sebagian warga. Secara keseluruhan, kolaborasi ini terbukti efektif sebagai model pemberdayaan untuk mewujudkan lingkungan bersih dan sehat.

Abstract

Transformasi industri konstruksi di masa globalisasi dan Industry 4.0 menunjukkan peningkatan kompleksitas dalam rantai pasok bahan, serta kebutuhan akan kecepatan dan akurasi dalam pengambilan keputusan logistik. Meski demikian, sektor konstruksi masih mengalami masalah seperti fragmentasi dalam sistem kerja, kurangnya koordinasi antar pihak yang terlibat, dan keterbatasan dalam menerapkan teknologi informasi untuk pengadaan bahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti bagaimana fragmentasi sistem kerja dan keterbatasan penggunaan teknologi informasi memengaruhi efisiensi pengelolaan rantai pasok bahan di proyek konstruksi. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan menganalisis publikasi ilmiah yang terkemuka selama dua dekade terakhir. Analisis dilakukan melalui sintesis tematik dan analisis perbandingan untuk mengevaluasi kondisi pengelolaan rantai pasok sebelum dan setelah penerapan teknologi informasi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sistem kerja yang terfragmentasi dan proses yang masih manual menyebabkan keterlambatan dalam pengadaan bahan, miskomunikasi antarpihak, kurangnya visibilitas dalam logistik, serta keputusan yang diambil lambat dan tidak akurat. Di sisi lain, penggunaan teknologi informasi seperti ERP, BIM, dan sistem berbasis cloud membantu meningkatkan integrasi data, mempercepat pengiriman informasi secara real-time, serta meningkatkan kecepatan dan akurasi dalam pengambilan keputusan logistik. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya digitalisasi dan kerja sama lintas pihak untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan keberhasilan pengelolaan rantai pasok bahan pada proyek konstruksi modern.

Abstract

Abstrak – Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh Kompetensi SDM dan Manajemen Beban Kerja terhadap Efisiensi Operasional SDM di perusahaan menengah di Surabaya dengan 398 karyawan. Meningkatnya permintaan akan layanan administratif yang lebih cepat, akurasi data SDM yang lebih tinggi, dan proses yang lebih efisien mengharuskan unit SDM untuk meningkatkan kemampuan sumber daya manusianya sambil mengelola beban kerja administratif secara lebih sistematis. Kompetensi SDM didefinisikan sebagai kombinasi dari keahlian teknis, kemampuan analitis, kemampuan interpersonal, dan pengetahuan regulasi yang memungkinkan staf SDM untuk memberikan layanan yang andal dan responsif. Manajemen Beban Kerja mencerminkan kemampuan organisasi untuk mendistribusikan tanggung jawab administratif secara proporsional dan mencegah kelebihan beban peran yang dapat mengganggu ketepatan waktu dan akurasi layanan. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan data yang dikumpulkan dari 284 karyawan melalui kuesioner online, penelitian ini menggunakan regresi linier berganda untuk menguji efek langsung kedua variabel independen terhadap Efisiensi Operasional SDM. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa Kompetensi SDM secara signifikan meningkatkan kecepatan proses, akurasi, dan optimasi sumber daya, sementara Manajemen Beban Kerja yang efektif berkontribusi pada penyelesaian layanan tepat waktu dan pengurangan kesalahan administratif. Bersama-sama, kedua prediktor tersebut menjelaskan lebih dari setengah varians dalam Efisiensi Operasional SDM. Temuan ini menyoroti pentingnya memperkuat kemampuan SDM dan mengatur beban kerja administratif untuk membangun fungsi SDM yang lebih fleksibel dan berprestasi tinggi.   Kata kunci: Kompetensi SDM, pengelolaan beban kerja, efisiensi operasional SDM, kinerja administratif, layanan karyawan.   Abstract – This study examines the influence of HR Competence and Workload Management on HR Operational Efficiency in a medium-scale company in Surabaya with 398 employees. The growing demand for faster administrative services, higher accuracy of HR data, and streamlined processes requires HR units to improve their human capital capability while managing administrative workloads more systematically. HR Competence is conceptualized as the combination of technical mastery, analytical ability, interpersonal capability, and regulatory knowledge that enables HR staff to deliver reliable and responsive services. Workload Management reflects the organization’s ability to distribute administrative responsibilities proportionally and prevent role overload that may disrupt service timeliness and accuracy. Using a quantitative approach with data collected from 284 employees through an online questionnaire, this study employs multiple linear regression to test the direct effects of both independent variables on HR Operational Efficiency. The results demonstrate that HR Competence significantly enhances process speed, accuracy, and resource optimization, while effective Workload Management contributes to timely service completion and reduced administrative errors. Together, the two predictors explain more than half of the variance in HR Operational Efficiency. These findings highlight the strategic importance of strengthening HR capability and structuring administrative workload to build a more agile and high-performing HR function.   Keywords: HR competence, workload management, HR operational efficiency, administrative performance, employee services.

Abstract

Waste management issues are crucial issues that require integrated handling and cross-sector collaboration, especially in urban areas such as Surabaya. This community service activity aims to evaluate the role of education and partnerships between the government, students, and the community in improving the quality of environmental cleanliness through river cleaning activities in Surabaya City organized by the Environmental Agency. Using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach focusing on the process of the service and action cycle for sustainable social change, and data was collected through direct observation, documentation, and the active involvement of various stakeholders. The results of the activity indicate that waste management education and community cooperation to improve environmental cleanliness are clearly proven that improvements in environmental conditions and around the river are seen from the decrease in the amount of waste in the river flow, high community participation, and increased quality of public facilities around the activity area. The environmental education carried out in this program also succeeded in deepening the community's understanding of the role of community cooperation and community education in maintaining environmental cleanliness. Furthermore, the activity also fosters sustainable community cooperation as a foundation for creating a healthy and comfortable environment. This community service activity confirms that the integrated role of government, students, and the community is an effective collaboration in addressing waste issues and has the potential to become a collaborative model for other regions in realizing sustainable environmental management. Importantly, this program demonstrates that consistent changes in community behavior can be achieved if supported by ongoing education and strengthening local institutions.

Abstract

Employees as human resources have a role to determine the success of the company while the measure to determine the success of the company is determined by employee performance. The purpose of this study was to determine the partial and simultaneous effect of discipline and compensation variables on employee performance. The population in this study were employees in a travel and tours in the city of Surabaya, amounting to 29 people and used as a whole as respondents. The analysis tool is multiple linear regression. The research findings state that discipline has a significant influence on employee performance. Compensation also has a significant effect on employee performance. Both simultaneously affect the dependent variable.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of supervisory support and self-efficacy on work effectiveness, with work burnout as a moderating variable. The quantitative method was used using a questionnaire distributed to 100 respondents who worked at a company in Surabaya. The results of data analysis using the multiple regression method reveal that supervisory support has a significant positive impact on work effectiveness, along with self-efficacy which also has a significant positive influence on work effectiveness. Then supervisory support moderates the relationship positively and significantly towards work burnout. Self-efficacy was found to moderate the relationship positively and significantly to job burnout, indicating that the higher the level of self-efficacy, the lower the perceived level of job burnout. Meanwhile, work burnout negatively and significantly moderates the relationship to work effectiveness, indicating that the higher the level of work burnout, the lower the observed work effectiveness.

Abstract

Lecturers as educators in higher education are assets that must be guaranteed to have job satisfaction based on the work results shown to the organization. This study aims to determine the significance of the influence of leadership and work communication variables on teacher performance. The number of respondents involved were 57 lecturers. The results of this study state that leadership and work communication have a significant influence on job satisfaction. Leadership is an independent variable that has a dominant influence.
