Abstract

This study investigates the impact of gamification-based formative assessment, specifically using Quizizz and Crossword Puzzles (TTS), on student learning outcomes in economics, focusing on the material concerning the division and scope of economics. While previous research confirmed the benefits of game-based assessments in enhancing motivation and learning, a direct comparative study between Quizizz and TTS was rare, especially on this fundamental economic topic. Employing a quantitative approach with a Quasi-Experimental Design, the study used Purposive Sampling to select two groups of 36 students each at UPT SMAN 13 Sinjai: one group treated with Quizizz and the other with TTSData analysis using JASP involved the Independent Samples t-test on post-test score. The descriptive analysis showed that the TTS group achieved a significantly higher average score (x=82.92) compared to the Quizizz group (x =72.11). The Independent Samples t-test confirmed a statistically significant difference (p < 0.001) in learning outcomes, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis. The conclusion highlights that the Crossword Puzzle (TTS) method is substantially more effective due to its ability to encourage deeper cognitive processing, active elaborative encoding, and a more stress-free, engaging learning environment, leading to stronger long-term memory retention than the quick-response nature of Quizizz

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of implementing gamification-based learning on enhancing active participation among eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 40 Seram Bagian Timur. The background of the study stems from the low student involvement in class activities, evident in the limited contributions to discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and collaborative tasks. The research employs a quasi-experimental design with a non-randomized control group pretest–posttest, involving two classes: one experimental class receiving the gamification intervention and one control class following conventional teaching methods. The research instruments include an active participation observation rubric, a motivation questionnaire, and learning activity notes. Data analysis was conducted using independent t-test, Cohen's d effect size, and descriptive analysis to examine patterns of participatory behavior changes. The findings (based on simulation format, which can be replaced with actual data) show a significant increase in active participation levels in the experimental class compared to the control class (p < 0.01) with a moderate-to-large effect size (d = 0.68). These findings support recent meta-analyses and systematic reviews indicating that gamification can enhance student motivation, engagement, and participation when game elements are aligned with learning objectives. Overall, this study suggests that gamification is a promising pedagogical strategy to increase student engagement in the classroom and is worth implementing in secondary school contexts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan menguji kevalidan media infografis berbasis program “G7KAIH” untuk mendukung pembelajaran pendidikan karakter di SMPN 4 SATAP Malangke. Menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE, penelitian ini melalui tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan desain, pengembangan produk, implementasi terbatas, serta evaluasi formatif dan sumatif. Validasi dilakukan oleh tiga ahli—materi, media, dan pembelajaran—menggunakan instrumen berbasis skala Likert. Tingkat kevalidan dihitung menggunakan rumus Aiken’s V dan menghasilkan indeks pada rentang 0,85–0,92 yang termasuk kategori sangat valid. Hasil uji coba siswa menunjukkan bahwa infografis mudah dipahami, menarik, dan membantu pemaknaan nilai karakter seperti gigih, gotong royong, adaptif, dan kreatif. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa infografis “G7KAIH” layak digunakan sebagai media pendukung pembelajaran karakter dan berpotensi meningkatkan keterlibatan serta pemahaman siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the validity of the interactive multimedia “Ayo Lestarikan Lingkungan” as a learning medium for the Science and Social Studies (IPAS) subject among upper-grade students at SDN 41 Malewang, Takalar Regency. The media was developed to address the need to improve IPAS learning, which remains dominated by conventional methods, leading to low student engagement and suboptimal comprehension of environmental conservation concepts. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach focusing on the expert validation stage. Instruments consisted of validation sheets from material experts and media experts, assessing content accuracy and visual design quality. Data were analyzed by calculating the average validation scores and categorizing them according to established media feasibility criteria. The results show that the interactive multimedia achieved a valid rating across all evaluation aspects. Media experts reported an overall validity of 91.40%, with several aspects—layout, animation, typography, audio, video, interface, program, and navigation—rated highly valid. Material experts rated the learning aspects, content, and language at 79.63%, categorized as valid. Based on these findings, the developed multimedia is feasible for use as a learning medium to enhance students’ understanding and awareness of environmental conservation. The study implies that integrating interactive multimedia can be an effective alternative for improving the quality of IPAS instruction in elementary schools

Abstract

The development of 21st-century technology has encouraged the use of digital media as a more innovative and interactive learning tool, including in PJOK instruction. The topic of healthy, nutritious, and balanced eating patterns is often perceived as abstract by students due to the limited availability of engaging visual media. This study aims to examine the validity of a digital-based interactive multimedia using Aiken’s V formula as a learning medium for PJOK in junior high schools. This research employed an R&D design using the ADDIE approach, consisting of the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Validation was carried out by media experts and material experts using a structured assessment instrument. The results indicate that the developed interactive multimedia can be easily operated by students and supports improved understanding of the material. The media expert validation for 20 assessment items produced an Aiken’s V coefficient of 0.87, while the material expert validation for 14 items produced a coefficient of 0.82. Both results fall into the “very valid” category, indicating that the media meets standards of content feasibility, visual quality, language clarity, and usability. Therefore, the digital-based interactive multimedia is declared highly suitable for use in PJOK learning, as it enhances learning effectiveness and provides a more engaging and meaningful learning experience for students

Abstract

Khulu’ atau gugat cerai merupakan upaya seorang isteri untuk melepaskan diri dari ikatan perkawinan dengan suaminya bila sudah tidak memungkinkan lagi untuk bersama dalam mengarungi bahtera rumah tangga karena hilangnya sakinah dan cinta kasih di atara keduanya, yang mana upaya tersebut dilegalkan dalam syariat Islam dengan maksud agar tidak terjadi pelanggaran syariat di antara keduanya. Untuk menyelidiki, menggambarkan serta menjelaskan secara seksama tentang obyek penelitian ini. agar dapat sampai pada hasil yang diharapkan, maka dalam penelitian ini, penulis memakai metode kualitatif. Dengan metode kualitatif ini, penulis dapat menganalis setiap data yang terkait dengan obyek penelitian dan menyajikannya dalam bentuk hasil penelitian. Khulu’ atau gugat cerai yang dilakukan oleh seorang isteri dalam upaya melepaskan diri dari ikatan perkawinan dengan suaminya termasuk dalam kategorikan thalak bain dan tidak ada rujuk, dan bukan fasakh. Sebab jika khulu’ dikatergorikan sebagai fasakh maka suami memungkinkan rujuk kembali dan jika itu terjadi maka kemungkinan besar kezaliman dalam rumah tangga dan segala sesuatu yang menyertainya akan terulang kembali dan itu sangat bertentangan dengan tujuan pernikahan, yaitu terwujudnya sakinah mawaddah warahmah.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of Return on Assets and Debt to Equity Ratio on Tax Avoidance in coal mining sub sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2019 to 2024. ROA is used as a proxy for profitability, while DER represents leverage. Tax Avoidance is measured using the Effective Tax Rate (ETR). The study employs a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from companies’ annual financial statements. Purposive sampling was applied, resulting in a sample of 21 companies. Panel data regression analysis was conducted using EViews 13 software. The results indicate that Return on Assets has a significant effect on Tax Avoidance, and Debt to Equity Ratio also significantly affects Tax Avoidance. Additionally, Return on Assets and Debt to Equity Ratio simultaneously have a significant influence on Tax Avoidance. These findings suggest that company profitability and capital structure play a crucial role in influencing tax avoidance practices through tax planning strategies that remain compliant with applicable tax regulations.

Abstract

Early reading is an important basic skill for students, including for students with mild intellectual disabilities. Students with mild intellectual disabilities often experience difficulties in combining syllables into whole words. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the Secil application media in improving early reading skills, especially reading simple two-syllable words with a CV-CVC pattern. This study uses a quantitative method with an experimental approach in the form of Single Subject Research (SSR) with an A-B-A design, which consists of an initial baseline condition (A1), an intervention condition (B), and a final baseline condition (A2). Data analysis used is visual graphic analysis. The subjects of the study were fifth-grade students with mild intellectual disabilities at SLB Peduli Anak Bangsa Payakumbuh. The results showed that the observation of the initial baseline condition (A1) was carried out for three meetings with a percentage of 30%, 30%, 30%. The observation of the intervention condition (B) was carried out for seven meetings with a percentage of 70%, 80%, 90%, 90%, 90%, 90%. The final observation was based on baseline conditions (A2) with percentages of 100%, 100%, and 100%. It can be concluded that the use of the Secil application media can improve early reading skills, especially reading simple two-syllable words with a CV-VC pattern in students with mild intellectual disabilities. Membaca permulaan merupakan kemampuan dasar yang penting bagi siswa, termasuk bagi siswa disabilitas intelektual ringan. Siswa disabilitas intelektual ringan sering mengalami hambatan dalam menggabungkan suku kata menjadi kata utuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media aplikasi Secil dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan khususnya membaca kata sederhana dua suku kata berpola KV-KV. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen berbentuk Single Subjcet Research (SSR) dengan desain A-B-A, yang terdiri dari kondisi baseline awal (A1), kondisi intervensi (B), dan kondisi baseline akhir (A2). Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis visual grafis. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa disabilitas intelektual ringan kelas V di SLB peduli Anak Bangsa Payakumbuh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada pengamatan kondisi baseline awal (A1) yang dilakukan selama tiga kali pertemuan dengan persentase yaitu 30%, 30%, 30%. Pada pengamatan kondisi intervensi (B) dilakukan selama tujuh kali pertemuan dengan persentase 70%, 80%, 90%, 90%, 90%, 90%, 90%. Terakhir pengamatan pada kondisi baseline (A2) dengan persentase 100%, 100%, 100%. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media aplikasi Secil dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan khususnya membaca kata sederhana dua suku kata berpola KV-KV pada siswa disabilitas intelektual ringan.
