Abstract

Background: The low student learning outcomes in science subjects are influenced by both internal and external factors. Student perceptions of teaching styles and learning motivation are crucial external and internal factors, respectively. Aims: This study aims to determine the relationship between student perceptions of teacher teaching styles and learning motivation on cognitive learning outcomes in seventh-grade science at SMP Negeri 1 Bangil. Methods: An ex-post facto correlational design was used with a population of 360 students and a sample of 186 students selected through simple random sampling. Data were analyzed using simple linear and multiple linear regression with SPSS-25. Results: The study found a positive and significant relationship between student motivation and cognitive learning outcomes. While student perception of teacher teaching styles showed a relationship with cognitive learning outcomes, the results of the hypothesis test show a contradiction between the partial and simultaneous findings, where perception of teaching styles was not found to have a significant partial effect but had a significant simultaneous effect when combined with learning motivation. Novelty: This study provides unique insights into the relationship between teaching style perception, motivation, and learning outcomes within the specific context of a junior high school in Bangil, highlighting the need for teachers to develop engaging and motivating learning strategies. Implications: The findings suggest that teachers should develop engaging and motivating teaching strategies to improve student learning outcomes. Future research is needed to explore other factors influencing learning outcomes to provide a more comprehensive understanding. Highlights : The study found a positive and significant relationship between student motivation and cognitive learning outcomes. Student perceptions of teaching styles did not have a significant partial effect on learning outcomes. However, when combined with motivation, perceptions of teaching styles had a significant simultaneous effect on learning outcomes. Data analysis was carried out using a quantitative descriptive approach. The waste taken was macro-sized inorganic waste. The results of the study showed that plastic waste dominated the pieces of waste as much as 174.67 pcs with a density of 5.82 pcs/m2. The relative density value of plastic waste reached 84.25%. The lowest density was ceramic waste of 0.03 pcs/m2 with a relative density value of 0.48%. The government and surrounding communities are expected to work together to optimize waste management.

Abstract

Zakat and waqf are the main instruments of Islamic social finance with complementary functions: zakat plays a role as a short-term distribution, while waqf supports sustainable development through productive assets. This research aims to formulate the conceptual foundation for zakat-waqf integration of corporations, develop short-term and long-term synergy models, establish principles of governance and impact measurement, and offer an implementation map in Indonesia's Islamic philanthropic ecosystem. Using a comparative case study method on Rumah Zakat and Sinergi Foundation, the results show a complementary continuum model where zakat serves as seed capital for emergency needs and initial empowerment, while waqf ensures the sustainability of socio-economic benefits. In conclusion, the integration of corporate zakat and corporate waqf has the potential to strengthen the accountability, sustainability, and effectiveness of Islamic philanthropy while supporting maq??id al-syar?'ah and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 5.0 era demands that the education system adapt to rapid technological advancements without neglecting character development, particularly within Islamic Religious Education (IRE). This article explores the importance of integrating Islamic values into digital character education as a strategy to shape resilient, adaptive, and globally competitive Muslim generations. Without strong spiritual and moral foundations, digital education risks contributing to a character crisis among students. Therefore, the role of IRE teachers is essential in utilizing technology as a medium to instill Islamic values such as honesty, responsibility, tolerance, and discipline. This study employs a qualitative-descriptive approach with literature review as the primary method. The findings indicate that the integration of Islamic values into digital learning can be achieved through various platforms such as interactive videos, e-learning systems, and educational social media, while maintaining Islamic pedagogical principles. In conclusion, Islamic-based digital character education is not only relevant but also a fundamental necessity in preparing Muslim students to face modern challenges while preserving their moral and spiritual integrity. The implications of this study can serve as a reference for educators and policymakers in designing technology-based IRE curricula.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of Islamic legal principles into Indonesia’s natural resource governance, with a particular focus on sustainability and social justice. The research is motivated by the exploitative and anthropocentric orientation of current policies, which neglect intergenerational equity and ecological justice. To address this gap, the study employs a normative-juridical method with a critical approach, analyzing law as a system of norms rather than merely as social practice. Sources include statutory laws such as the Minerba Law and Job Creation Law, relevant fatwas issued by the Indonesian Council of Ulama, as well as Qur’anic and Hadith texts interpreted through the framework of maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah. Case studies of deforestation in Kalimantan and mining conflicts in West Nusa Tenggara are presented to contextualize the neglect of Islamic values in environmental management. The findings reveal four structural problems: legal dualism between state law and Islamic ethics, weak institutionalization of sharia principles, sectoral fragmentation in governance, and centralization of authority that marginalizes indigenous communities. These issues contribute to the persistent neglect of maslahah, ‘adl, and environmental justice in public policy. The study proposes a maqāṣid-based reconstruction of legal norms through ijtihād maqāṣidī and taḥqīq al-manāṭ as methodological tools to realign governance with ethical and ecological imperatives. Recommendations include revising extractive laws, integrating environmental fatwas into statutory frameworks, strengthening participatory governance, and establishing a Maqāṣid Commission for ecological oversight. In conclusion, the research demonstrates that reconstructing Islamic law through maqāṣid not only fills the ethical gap in Indonesia’s regulatory system but also offers a transformative model for just, participatory, and sustainable environmental governance.
