Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the intensity of music therapy and the level of emotional expression of students at Makassar State University. The phenomenon of increasing academic, social, and personal pressures causes many students to experience difficulties in expressing emotions healthily. Music is seen as an alternative medium to help regulate and channel emotions. This study uses a quantitative approach with a non-experimental correlational method. The study population consisted of students of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program at Makassar State University, with data collection through a courage questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive tests, the Kolmogorov-Smithnov normality test, simple linear regression, and the Pearson correlation test. The results of this study indicate a positive and significant relationship between the intensity of music therapy and the level of emotional expression of students (r = 0.429; p = 0.001). This means that the higher the intensity of students in music therapy, the higher their ability to express emotions adaptively. Music therapy has been shown to stimulate the autonomic nervous system, reduce stress, and improve emotional well-being. These findings support the application of music therapy as an effective nonverbal therapy in guidance and counseling, especially to help students manage emotions and mental health positively.

Abstract

This research is based on the shortage of functional penghulu officers, which has become a serious issue for the government, particularly the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Indonesia. This condition can affect the quality of services in marriage registration, family guidance, and the provision of legal certainty to the community. To overcome the emergency of penghulu personnel, it is necessary to propose that the position of penghulu also be granted equal access to women, whereas until now the position of penghulu has been dominated only by men. Therefore, this research aims to conduct a comprehensive study on the provisions regarding the opportunities and problems of female penghulu within Indonesia’s civil law system, in which civil law is the official positive legal umbrella governing penghulu affairs. This research is normative legal research employing a statutory approach and a conceptual approach. Meanwhile, the primary legal materials of this research consist of various laws and regulations directly related to penghulu affairs. The results of this research indicate that the opportunities for female penghulu within the civil law system are very open, constitutionally valid, and not subject to any normative prohibition. The problems arise when female penghulu are requested to act as guardians appointed by the court (wali hakim) or entrusted with the delegated guardianship of marriage (taukil wali). This is because, under Indonesia’s civil law, a wali hakim or a person receiving taukil wali is required to be male. In addition, another problem is the existence of a specific requirement to be male that must be fulfilled in the recruitment of penghulu personnel as stated in the Announcement Letter on the Recruitment of Candidates for Civil Servants of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Abstract

Arbitration in Indonesia serves as a strategic alternative dispute resolution mechanism, legally grounded in Law Number 30 of 1999 concerning Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution. This study examines the position, legal force, and practical implications of arbitral awards within the national judicial system. Employing a normative juridical method combined with a descriptive qualitative approach, the research analyzes legislation, arbitral awards, court decisions, and relevant literature. Data collection involved literature review, secondary data on national and international awards, and juridical analysis of court supervision and enforcement practices. The findings indicate that arbitral awards are final and binding, while courts retain limited oversight for annulment or enforcement, ensuring legal certainty and justice. The study also highlights the strategic role of arbitration in supporting business operations, enhancing investor confidence, and promoting efficient dispute resolution. Ultimately, arbitral awards contribute to a credible, neutral, and effective legal framework, fostering a favorable investment climate and strengthening Indonesia’s competitiveness in the global economy.

Abstract

Low motivation to learn is one of the main problems in the world of education, which affects the quality of learning. This research aims to examine the use of game-based learning as an innovation to increase student learning motivation. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with literature studies from various relevant sources. The research results show that game-based learning is able to create an interactive, fun and challenging learning atmosphere, so that it can increase students' motivation, involvement and understanding of the subject matter. With proper implementation, game-based learning can be an effective strategy in responding to the challenges of 21st century education.

Abstract

This study addresses the urgent concern in contemporary education regarding the weakening of student character due to the influence of external cultures and the growing tide of modernity that misaligns with Islamic values. In this context, the role of the murabbi becomes pivotal. The aim of this research is to analyze how teachers at SD Persatuan Islam (Persis) Karawang implement their role as murabbi in shaping students’ character based on Islamic educational philosophy. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis involving homeroom teachers, Islamic religious education teachers, principals, and purposively selected students. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model and verified through triangulation and credibility measures. The findings reveal that teachers consistently integrate Islamic values into the learning process and school life through exemplary conduct, value habituation, and spiritual mentoring. In conclusion, the holistic implementation of the murabbi role proves effective in fostering Islamic character among students and offers a replicable model for Islamic-based character education at the elementary level. This study contributes by offering a conceptual framework of the murabbi role rooted in Islamic educational philosophy and grounded in empirical findings from elementary school settings.

Abstract

This study focuses on the structure of the Qur'anic tahfizh learning model, as well as the factors that facilitate and hinder its implementation. The research was carried out through a qualitative approach with a case study at the Abdullah Wa Salma Islamic Boarding School in Sumbawa. Data collection was carried out by means of in-depth interviews, direct observation involving researchers, and document studies. The collected data was then analyzed using interactive analysis techniques from Miles and Huberman. The results of the study revealed that the learning model applied was a combined modification that systematically combined the methods of halaqah, takrir, simā’i, and independent murāja’ah. The success of this model is supported by the positive role of the ustadz as an example and the existence of a structured coaching system. However, there are obstacles in the form of differences in motivation between students and lack of time to do murāja’ah together. This study concludes that the adaptive tahfizh learning model has proven to be relevant and effective in producing qualified Qur'an memorizers, as well as making contributions both theoretically through the synthesis of adaptive tahfizh learning models and practically.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan kebutuhan penting bagi setiap individu, siswa yang bercita-cita untuk melanjutkan pendidikan pasca sekolah menengah atas atau sekolah kejuruan harus memastikan gelar studi yang mereka inginkan. Ketika seorang calon mahasiswa memutuskan untuk kuliah di institusi pilihannya, mereka akan mengevaluasi keadaan dan kondisi yang ada. Pendekatan yang paling efektif untuk berhasil merekrut calon mahasiswa ke perguruan tinggi adalah dengan mengintegrasikan Brand Image dan promosi institusi sambil meningkatkan kualitas dan kinerjanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh brand image dan promosi terhadap Keputusan memilih Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Enam Enam Kendari pada program studi manajemen. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif terhadap data primer dan data sekunder. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 94 responden yang merupakan mahasiswa program studi manajemen di Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Enam Enam Kendari. Alat analisis pada penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa brand image dan promosi secara simultan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan memilih sekolah tinggi ilmu ekonomi enam enam Kendari. Secara parsial brand image berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan memilih, sementara promosi berpengaruh positif tetapi tidak signifikan terhadap keputusan memilih. Education is a fundamental necessity for every individual. Students who aspire to continue their education after high school or vocational school must carefully consider their desired degree program. When a prospective student decides to attend their chosen institution, they evaluate the available circumstances and conditions. The most effective strategy for successfully attracting prospective students to higher education is to integrate the institution's brand image and promotional efforts while simultaneously improving its quality and performance. This study aims to examine the impact of brand image and promotion on the decision to choose the STIE Enam Enam Kendariin the Management Study Program. The study employs a quantitative approach, using both primary and secondary data. The sample consists of 94 respondents who are students of the Management Study Program at the STIE Enam Enam Kendari. The analysis tool used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that both brand image and promotion have a positive and significant effect on the decision to choose STIE Enam Enam Kendari. In particular, brand image has a positive and significant effect on the decision to choose, while promotion has a positive but insignificant effect on the decision.

Abstract

Ethical disclosure constitutes a central pillar of accountability in Islamic banking; however, existing measurement tools, particularly the Ethical Identity Index (EII), have not sufficiently captured recent developments in reporting practices within the Indonesian context. Prior studies predominantly employ static ethical frameworks, thereby limiting their responsiveness to evolving governance standards and contemporary interpretations of Islamic ethical principles. This study aims to address this gap by developing a Modified Sharia-Based Ethical Identity Index (MSBEII) grounded in Jasser Auda’s contemporary Maqaṣid al-Sharīʿah framework, which emphasises a dynamic, multidimensional approach to Islamic ethics. This research adopts a quantitative design by analysing annual reports of Islamic banks in Indonesia and comparing ethical disclosure quality before and after the implementation of the MSBEII. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test is utilised to examine statistically significant differences between disclosure scores derived from the original EII and the modified index. The findings demonstrate a significant improvement in ethical disclosure scores following the application of the MSBEII, indicating that the modified index is more sensitive in capturing previously underrepresented ethical dimensions, particularly those related to governance transparency, social responsibility, and value-based compliance. These results confirm that integrating a contemporary Maqaṣid al-Sharīʿah perspective enhances the analytical depth and contextual relevance of ethical disclosure measurement. Theoretically, this study contributes to advancing the Islamic banking literature by bridging the gap between normative Islamic ethical frameworks and empirical assessment tools. Practically, the MSBEII provides a more comprehensive and adaptable instrument for regulators, standard-setters, and industry practitioners to strengthen governance quality and ethical accountability.

Abstract

Scholars who have studied terrorism for many years have emphasized the importance of considering a multi-actor collaborative approach in studying and addressing it. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate international publication trends regarding multi-actor collaboration using the Scopus database through bibliometric analysis from 2009 to 2025. Data visualization and analysis were conducted using Scopus, Biblioshiny, and VOSviewer. The results show that counter-terrorism is widely discussed within the framework of multi-actor collaboration, focusing on planning and implementation. In addition, multi-actor collaboration in counter-terrorism appears to be promising through the theme of technological advancements and computer science. This result is expected to contribute to the novelty of future studies on multi-actor collaboration in counter-terrorism efforts.
