Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Sekolah Sisan Ngaji (SSN) program in building students’ character at SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Randulatung. The study employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with the principal, religious education teachers, and students, and program documentation. The findings indicate that the SSN program is conducted regularly after formal learning activities, with materials focusing on the habituation of worship, strengthening of noble moral values, and spiritual development of students. This program does not only emphasize religious cognitive aspects but also internalizes character values such as discipline, responsibility, and honesty in students’ daily lives. Challenges in implementing the SSN program include students’ lack of motivation, limited time, and minimal parental involvement. However, the school has addressed some of these challenges through creative learning methods, strengthened collaboration with parents, and teacher training. The findings confirm that SSN positively contributes to students’ character development when implemented consistently and supported by all stakeholders. The study recommends regular program evaluation and enhancing teachers’ capacity to guide students’ holistic character development. Implication: The results of this study imply that character-building programs based on religious activities such as SSN can serve as a model for strengthening character education in other schools, especially within the context of Islamic teaching. Implementing similar programs requires institutional support, active parental involvement, and teacher capacity-building to ensure that character education can be carried out effectively, comprehensively, and sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies the Vice Principal of Student Affairs (Waka Kesiswaan) implemented in addressing juvenile delinquency in the digital era at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Masaran. Juvenile delinquency in the digital era includes cyberbullying, fighting, and addiction to social media and online games. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method involving participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and document studies. The results of the survey show that juvenile delinquency is influenced by internal factors, such as lack of self-control, as well as external factors, such as environmental influences and lack of parental supervision. The Vice Principal of Student Affairs applies three main strategies: preventive, repressive, and curative. Preventive measures include instilling religious values, implementing school rules, and providing counseling services. Repressive actions involve giving advice, punishment, and coordinating with parents. Meanwhile, curative actions involve training, discipline, and collaboration with various parties. This study recommends that schools improve the effectiveness of handling juvenile delinquency through a holistic and collaborative approach. Implications: This study's implications emphasize the importance of a comprehensive approach to addressing juvenile delinquency. Collaboration between schools, parents, and the community is crucial to creating an environment that supports adolescents' development. Adapting strategies to technological advancements and social media is essential. Schools are expected to continuously develop programs that strengthen students' character and social skills to handle juvenile delinquency effectively and sustainably.

Abstract

Abstract

In an era of expanding financial access and increasingly competitive MSME financing, the feasibility assessment of financing has become a crucial determinant of portfolio performance in Islamic banking. This study aims to empirically analyze the effect of financing feasibility on the repayment rate of small-business financing at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI). A quantitative research design was employed through survey distribution to 180 MSME recipients of BSI financing, complemented by in-depth interviews with financing officers to enhance data validity. Four dimensions of feasibility were examined technical feasibility, market feasibility, financial feasibility, and financing analysis quality. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to measure the significance and contributive strength of each variable on repayment performance, indicated by installment smoothness. The results reveal that all four feasibility variables exert a positive and significant influence on repayment performance. Financial feasibility emerged as the dominant factor (β = 0.431), while the coefficient of determination (R² = 0.614) indicates that 61.4% of repayment variation is explained by the model. Additional findings highlight that digital transaction recording and continuous post-disbursement mentoring are associated with higher repayment consistency. This study affirms the urgency of strengthening feasibility assessment, improving debtor financial literacy, and integrating digital-based data analysis as strategic measures for optimizing MSME financing risk management within the Islamic banking system.
