Abstract

This study explores the role of Islamic Religious Education in fostering Islamic character among students at SMPN 2 Boyolali. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. Findings reveal that Islamic Religious Education contributes to character building through contextual teaching, habituation, extracurricular activities, exemplary practices, and disciplinary measures. Supporting and hindering factors are also discussed. This study contributes to the discourse on Islamic education's role in character development.

Abstract

Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah memainkan peran utama dalam membentuk kualitas sekolah di MTs Muhammadiyah Waru Baki. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis gaya kepemimpinan yang diterapkan kepala sekolah dan dampaknya terhadap kualitas sekolah serta kepercayaan masyarakat. Melalui desain kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi, data diperoleh dari wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah menerapkan gaya kepemimpinan demokratis, yang melibatkan partisipasi aktif guru dan staf dalam pengambilan keputusan, serta evaluasi sarana prasarana. Program-program sosial, seperti bazar dan bakti sosial, berhasil meningkatkan interaksi dengan masyarakat, memperkuat dukungan terhadap sekolah, dan menciptakan lingkungan yang inklusif. Tantangan, seperti minat baca yang rendah di kalangan siswa, diatasi dengan program bimbingan tambahan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan demokratis yang transparan dan kolaboratif mampu meningkatkan kualitas sekolah dan hubungan sekolah dengan komunitas.

Abstract

Korupsi di Indonesia diyakini telah menjadi bagian dari struktur sosial yang mengakar. ICW melaporkan bahwa angka kasus korupsi sepanjang 2023 mencapai angka tertinggi dalam lima tahun terakhir, dengan potensi kerugian negara mencapai Rp28,4 triliun. Korupsi merusak nilai-nilai integritas dan identitas suatu bangsa yang berujung pada penurunan kualitas perilaku manusia secara sistemik jika tidak diberantas. Upaya dalam bidang pendidikan Islam telah dilakukan melalui pendidikan karakter untuk membentuk individu yang menolak korupsi. Namun, upaya berbasis individu belum cukup untuk memberantas korupsi yang sistemik. Penelitian ini mengembangkan pendekatan pendidikan anti-korupsi yang tidak hanya membentuk moralitas individu, tetapi juga gerakan kolektif untuk melawan korupsi melalui integrasi teori Critical Pedagogy Paulo Freire dengan pendidikan Islam.   Pendekatan ini melibatkan tiga tahap; 1) Kesadaran Tauhid bahwa Allah Maha Adil, Maha Bijaksana. Allah menciptakan sistem kehidupan alam semesta berdasar sunatullah yang bergerak menuju keseimbangan. Korupsi merusak sistem keseimbangan yang harus dinetralisir berdasar kaidah hukum 2) Muhasabah sebagai sarana dialogis reflektif untuk memahami konsekuensi atas setiap tindakan dan hubungan antara korupsi dengan individu serta menegaskan bahwa perubahan dimulai dari setiap individu 3) Islam mengajarkan individu untuk memberi kontribusi positif kepada masyarakat melalui amar makruf nahi mungkar. Pendidikan tidak berhenti pada moralitas individu, tetapi berlanjut pada ikhtiar kolektif untuk memberantas korupsi sistemik.

Abstract

Bullying is an aggressive act that is repeatedly carried out by an individual or group against other more vulnerable individuals, which includes physical, verbal, and relational forms. This phenomenon not only has an impact on the mental health and social development of victims but also creates an educational environment that is unsafe and not conducive to learning. This study uses a library research method with a qualitative descriptive approach. The data analyzed included books, articles, journals, and reports related to bullying. Bronfenbrenner's Ecological Theory is used to understand how the different layers of the environment of microsystems, mesosystems, ecosystems, macrosystems, and chronosystems influence bullying behavior. The results of the analysis show that bullying behavior is not only influenced by internal factors of individuals but also by family environment, school culture, peer pressure, and the influence of media and social policies. This study found that a multidimensional approach to prevention and intervention is essential for dealing with bullying. Strategies that involve families, schools, and communities are needed to create an environment that supports the positive development of children. By understanding the relationship between these ecological layers, this study offers more holistic policy recommendations to reduce the incidence of bullying in educational settings. This research is expected to contribute to efforts to prevent bullying and create a more inclusive and safe educational environment

Abstract

Article 1266 of the Civil Code explains that default by one party does not immediately terminate the agreement, but must first be brought before a judge. However, in its implementation, the parties usually do not pay attention to the provisions of Article 1266 of the Civil Code, so that if a default occurs, the agreement can be terminated unilaterally. The core problem in this article relates to the views of legal experts on the neglect of Article 1266 of the Civil Code and the application of the waiver clause of Article 1266 of the Civil Code based on court decisions. This research is a normative legal study that utilizes secondary data obtained from literature analysis. This article explains that there are differences of opinion among legal experts regarding whether the parties are allowed to ignore Article 1266 of the Civil Code, seen from the characteristics of the legal norms, the situations, and the parties involved in the agreement. Based on the analysis of court decisions by the Author, most judges agree with the application of the waiver clause of Article 1266 of the Civil Code based on Article 1338 paragraph (1) of the Civil Code. Thus, the agreement between the parties regarding the waiver of Article 1266 of the Civil Code in the agreement must be complied with by the parties concerned. Judges who reject the application of the waiver clause of Article 1266 of the Civil Code assume that the action is contrary to the provisions contained in Article 1266 of the Civil Code.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji inovasi yang telah dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah dalam menerapkan model pembelajaran hand on learning di SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Wonogiri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan sumber data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi dan wawancara. Observasi dilakukan langsung di sekolah dengan melakukan pengamatan terhadap proses pembelajaran peserta didik yang sedang berjalan, kemudian wawancara dilakukan kepada kepala sekolah serta para guru yang terlibat dalam proses pembelajaran peserta didik. Hasil penelitian yang didapat menjelaskan bahwa model pembelajaran yang diterapkan di sekolah tersebut kebanyakan masih berupa model klasikal yaitu pembelajaran di kelas dengan lebih banyak teori daripada praktik yang kemudian dirasa tidak efektif karena peserta didik kurang mampu menggali pengalaman dalam pembelajaran dimana hal tersebut lebih mudah didapat ketika dipraktikkan secara langsung. Maka dari itu, muncul ide dan inovasi kepala sekolah sebagai pemimpin atau leader di sekolah tersebut untuk segera merealisasikan terobosan baru dalam mengembangkan model pembelajaran agar lebih efektif serta dapat diterima dan dipahami oleh peserta didik. Inovasi tersebut yaitu dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran hand on learning yang mana dalam realisasinnya dinilai sudah cukup efektif sehingga mampu untuk meningkatkan kualitas  sekolah menjadi jauh lebih baik.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) Identify the strategies used by the school principal to improve the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta, (2) Identify the factors that support and hinder the strategies used by the principal of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta. This type of research employs qualitative research. The design of this study is a case study. The research subjects include the principal, Islamic religious education teachers, and students. Data collection techniques with an interactive model include data collection, reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The validity of the data is ensured through triangulation of data sources and triangulation of methods. The results of the study indicate that: (1) the principal of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta implements various efforts to enhance the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning, such as training for educators, the use of technology, strengthening Islamic values, and routine guidance. These steps play a role in improving teacher competence and students' enthusiasm for learning. (2) The success of this strategy is supported by the active role of teachers, the availability of facilities and infrastructure, and the commitment of school principals. However, there are several challenges, such as lack of student participation, budget limitations, and obstacles in the application of learning technology.

Abstract

Morality is a crucial aspect of contemporary society. The inculcation of moral values can be achieved not only through formal education but also through non-formal education, such as participation in organizations. Organizations serve as a platform for individuals to achieve common goals. The efforts of the Tapak Suci organization in promoting moral education are the main focus of this research. This study employs a qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as documentation, observation, and interviews. The findings indicate that trainers play a significant role in guiding students or members in instilling moral values. The methods employed include advice, habituation, and role modeling. To effectively implement these methods, appropriate media are needed, which are realized through programs such as short religious talks (kultum), Quran recitation sessions (tadarus), discussions, religious messages (tausiyah), monthly studies, and overnight stays (mabit). These are some efforts in imparting moral education through non-formal education.

Abstract

Morals are very important to be taught to students to shape their behavior so that they can blend in with society well. This research aims to find out how the implementation of Islamic Religious Education in shaping morals at Muhammadiyah PK Surakarta High School. The method in this research uses a qualitative method with a field study approach. The research technique used is to use data triangulation that combines observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the learning of PAI at SMA Muhammdiyah PK Surakarta was quite good as seen from students who had behaved well although some were not in accordance with what was expected. Although the implementation of PAI learning on student morals at SMA Muhammadiyah PK Surakarta is quite good, it has not achieved maximum results as expected. This is due to the limited time allocation for Islamic Education subjects compared to other general subjects. Other inhibiting factors include students' unfavorable backgrounds, unsupportive social environments, lack of facilities and infrastructure, and the influence of mass media such as television and print media.

Abstract

This community service program (PkM) aims to address significant welfare gaps in remote areas. Such as in rural areas in Wonogiri Regency, Central Java. This PkM focuses on integrated Islamic religious education, health and social services as an actualization of Al-Maun theology initiated by KH Ahmad Dahlan (founder of Muhammadiyah). Islamic religious education services, especially in remote areas such as Pucung Village, Eromoko District, Wonogiri are among the most concerning. Due to various limitations, such as lack of teachers, minimal educational facilities, minimal social activities and a quality of life that is far from healthy. This fact encourages the PkM Team to provide solutions in the form of programs and activities designed to improve the quality of life of the community in terms of education, health and social. Guidance activities are carried out with religious guidance to improve understanding and quality of worship and other Islamic education. Muhammadiyah Post School which provides non-formal education at the ronda post. In addition, there is also Health Education to increase health awareness in the community. This program will involve various stakeholders, including local governments, schools, communities, and religious organizations. Through good collaboration, it is hoped that it can create a conducive, sustainable living environment that can reflect the characteristics of Al-Maun theology with a focus on the three areas as mentioned.
