Abstract

This study aims to identify the major diseases affecting whiteleg shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) cultivated in intensive ponds in Takalar Regency, South Sulawesi, to determine the patterns of disease distribution and outbreaks, and to formulate control strategies for intensive shrimp farming. A qualitative descriptive method was applied, with data collected through literature review, surveys, interviews, field observations, laboratory examinations, and SWOT analysis. The research was conducted in intensive shrimp farming centers in Takalar Regency, specifically in Galesong, Sanrobone, and Mangarabombang Districts. The results revealed that the main diseases affecting L. vannamei were White Spot Syndrome Virus (WSSV), Acute Hepatopancreatic Necrosis Disease (AHPND), and Enterocytozoon hepatopenaei (EHP). EHP was detected in all study sites, including Boddia, Mappakalompo, Lagaruda, and Punaga Villages, while WSSV and AHPND were found in Boddia, Lagaruda, and Punaga Villages. Disease outbreaks were more frequent during the transitional season between dry and rainy periods. Based on SWOT analysis and the strategic positioning map, the condition of shrimp farming in Takalar falls under an aggressive strategy quadrant, with the recommended approach being the S-O strategy. The recommended measures include strengthening risk-based biosecurity, increasing the use of disease-free seedstock, and optimizing routine water quality monitoring. Furthermore, government involvement is crucial in disease prevention through integrated surveillance across agencies, provision of laboratory testing facilities, and the establishment of regulations regarding the use of pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and biological agents to ensure shrimp quality meets export market requirements.

Abstract

Intensive brackish water whiteleg shrimp (Litopenaeus vananmei) cultivation has seen increasing production. This analysis study aimed to analyze the main diseases that attack whiteleg shrimp (Litopenaeus vananmei) intensively in Takalar Regency, South Sulawesi, and the distribution patterns of these diseases. The research method used a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection through literature studies, surveys, interviews, field observations, and laboratory studies. The study results indicated that the diseases intensively attack whiteleg shrimp in Takalar Regency were White Spot Syndrome Virus (WSSV), Enterocytozoon hepatopenaei (EHP), and Acute Hepatopancreatic Necrosis Disease (AHPND). The pattern of disease attacks occured more frequently during the transition season or the change from the dry season to the rainy season in Takalar Regency. This pattern of attacks occured when there is a drastic change in temperature that affects water quality parameters sucIh as pH, salinity, alkalinity, and ammonia levels. The spread of these shrimp diseases is transmitted horizontally in a cluster pattern. The results of the analysis and identification of these disease attacks are expected to be a reference for disease control strategies

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This study investigates the psychological drivers of institutional transformation in the Society 5.0 era, specifically within the Indonesian educational landscape of 2022–2026. Titled "Empowering the 5.0 Educator," the research utilizes a Path Analysis framework via SEM-PLS to examine the impact of Digital Leadership, Technological Self-Efficacy, and a Human-Centric Learning Environment on Educational Sustainability. Central to this model is the mediating role of Innovative Work Behavior (IWB). Aligning with UNESCO Education 2030 (SDG 4) and the ASEAN Digital Masterplan 2025/2026, the study posits that technological integration alone is insufficient for excellence. Preliminary analysis suggests that while Digital Leadership and Self-Efficacy provide the necessary strategic and psychological foundations, their impact on long-term sustainability is fully realized only when they trigger the three stages of IWB: idea generation, promotion, and realization. Furthermore, a human-centric environment is found to be a critical prerequisite for mitigating technostress and ensuring resilient outcomes. The findings provide a strategic blueprint for educational management to move beyond automation toward a human-agentic ecosystem. Recommendations emphasize fostering digital advocacy and ethical AI governance to achieve inclusive, sustainable educational excellence in a rapidly evolving regional digital economy.
