Abstract

Abstract. J.M. Coetzee's Disgrace's relational transgression analysis is essential to comprehending literary analysis, ethical ramifications, society impact, and human behavior. People can learn more about the reasons behind such offenses, as well as the psychological and sociological elements that play a role by analyzing David Lurie's acts and the effects they have. This research aims to analyze the relation transgression committed by the character David Lurie in J.M. Coetzee's novel Disgrace and to delve deeper into why individuals engage in actions that breach social norms and how such actions impact individuals and society. Using a literary psychology approach through a descriptive qualitative research method, this study reveals the dominant characteristics of Lurie that trigger relation transgression.  The whole research is conducted by means of descriptive qualitative research method using content analysis. The analysis results show that Lurie has a tendency to violate social norms, particularly concerning his sexual desires. His arrogance and reluctance to apologize exacerbate the situation and isolate him from his social environment. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the complexity of characters in literary works and the implications of violating relational bonds in individual lives. By referring to the theory of relational transgression, this research highlights how Lurie's actions not only impact himself but also those around him. Effective preventive and intervention techniques may be developed with the help of the examination of Lurie's relational transgression in Disgrace. Communities can be made safer, healthier, and more inclusive by educating people on the underlying causes and effects of such behavior. By understanding the root causes and consequences of relational transgression, it is hoped that more effective prevention and intervention strategies can be developed. Keywords: Apology; arrogance; relation transgression; sexual desire

Abstract

This study examines the use of figurative language in the novel Pergi by Tere Liye published by Republika Penerbit on April in 2018, focusing on personification, metaphor, simile, and hyperbole. In this study the author refers to the theory of Gorys Keraf (2010). The research aims to identify the types of figurative language used, analyse their meanings, and reveal the implicit messages conveyed by the author. The method used is qualitative descriptive analysis, with data collection techniques involving in-depth reading and classification of sentences containing specific figurative language elements. The findings indicate that Tere Liye predominantly uses personification and metaphor to depict the emotions and situations faced by the main character, while similes and hyperboles are utilized to enhance the dramatic effect of the narrative. These stylistic devices not only enrich the novel's aesthetics but also play a crucial role in conveying moral messages and life values to the readers.

Abstract

Introduction: Membership in Indonesia's National Health Insurance (NHI) has dramatically increased, especially among the subsidized poor group, reaching 83.9% of the 229.9 million people enrolled in the scheme. However, patients’ satisfaction with care provided under this coverage remains uncertain. Aims: To measure the health care satisfaction of patients covered by the NHI in Waingapu, Sumba Timur District, East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia. Method: An explanatory cross-sectional study was conducted with 500 patients recruited from three hospitals and 10 community health centers. The Patient-Perceived Indicators of Satisfaction (PPIS) tool was developed for data collection. Descriptive statistical analysis was used to evaluate satisfaction level, while confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) tested the strength of association between indicators and patient satisfaction. Results: Most patients were very satisfied with the health care received; reliability (62%), assurance (52.2%), empathy (56.4%), tangible (49.6%), and responsiveness (45.4%). The CFA confirmed key indicators, including the availability of medicines as central to reliability (0.771), effective medicine (0.788), availability of parking area (0.814) for tangibles, motivation provided by health staff (0.804) for empathy, and responsiveness of pharmaceutical services (0.782). Among all dimensions, patients reported the highest satisfaction in assurance of health care (0.950), while satisfaction on tangible aspects (0.874) received the lowest rating. Conclusion: The study concludes that patients covered by the NHI are satisfied with the expected quality of health care services. However, satisfaction levels vary across individual indicators and dimensions.

Abstract

The National Health Insurance (NHI) of Indonesia covers the health care of nearly the whole population of Indonesia. However, misunderstandings of the benefits and the healthcare access mechanism are still evident. The study aims to identify misperceptions regarding the benefits and working mechanisms of the NHI in Waingapu, Sumba Timur District, Indonesia. A qualitative inquiry identifies the misperception about NHI's benefits and working mechanism. Thirty residents were recruited using the consecutive procedure to participate in the study. The data collections are semi-structured interviews, casual conversations, and inductively analyzed. The qualitative analysis identifies that people perceive that the administrative procedure of health care under NHI is complicated, has unlimited drugs and health care coverage, and the premium contribution is claimable. People perceive the management of NHI to treat them as debtors when they delay paying their contributions. People feel they are being treated unfairly because NHI does not provide all health services, but they ask for a guarantee if NHI does not cover health services. It is concluded that the people are underinformed about NHI's benefits and working mechanism. The management of NHI and associated stakeholders should implement ongoing educational programs and promotional efforts to increase awareness and understanding of the NHI system.

Abstract

Liquid waste and solid waste are products of tofu and tempeh processing. Solid waste, the end product of the sieving and coagulation process, is then used as flour, tofu biscuits, and animal feed. Liquid waste is the end result of the washing, boiling, pressing, and molding processes. Food businesses in Indonesia are often found in rivers or residential areas, which have a negative impact on the environment, resulting in ugly buildings, and reducing environmental degradation, all of which can contribute to habitat degradation. The tofu, tempeh, and tapioca industries, as well as other food sectors, are among the food industries that produce large environmental impacts. This research was conducted at the Anisah tofu and tempeh factory in Konda District. This research uses a participatory education approach to increase the knowledge of tofu and tempeh factory actors in waste management. The approach method used is the extension and interview method. Based on the results of interviews conducted with the owner of the Anisah tofu and tempeh factory, it is known that there are 3 types of waste produced by the factory, namely liquid waste, solid waste and gas waste. It is expected that the owners of the tofu and tempeh factory industry are advised to start implementing simple and environmentally friendly waste processing methods. Supervision from related agencies also needs to be strengthened so that waste management is carried out consistently and responsibly

Abstract

This study is about what particular people belong to the particular ethnic have in mind as their ideology to see the environment, reflected from traditional fishing ritual in Acehnese speech community under the eco-linguistic perspective. In addition, with reference to social praxis, ecolinguistics recognizes three dimensions, namely ideological, sociological, and biological dimensions relating to the exploitation of the environment for fishing through ritual speech. The purpose of this study is to determine the ideology reflected in the speech. The study employed a qualitative research methodology, utilizing a phenomenological approach. The study makes use of verbal expressions expressed by naval commanders, gathered through a combination of participatory observation and comprehensive interviews at a central location of fish market and sanctuary in Banda Aceh, Aceh Indonesia. The data collected serve as the basis for the analysis and interpretation of the research findings. The respected ideology was then compared to the concept of ecosophy. The results of the analysis show that the ritual holistically contains the ideology of environmental preservation. The efforts to assist the natural, social, and spiritual preservations, specifically in marine environments, are obviously detected in the discourse. The ideology offered is in accordance with the concept of ecosophy, which includes beneficial discourse. However, part of the utterances also reflect the ambivalent discourse, but not the destructive one.
