Abstract

This study aims to describe the form, function and meaning of oral literary sayings that exist in the people of Dusun Bangko in Jambi Province. Theories used in this study are oral traditions, functions of oral traditions, oral literature, and folklore. This type of research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation, documentation, and questionnaire research questions. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, presenting data, and conclusions. Based on data obtained in the field, the forms of oral traditions that developed in Dusun Bangko are petatah petitih, seloko and rhymes. All three oral traditions were once developed. However, at this time the Seloko has begun to be rarely used. While rhymes and petatah petitih very much used by the community. The function of oral tradition is as a reference for oneself and society so that it does not deviate from ethics, morals, and religion. Another goal is to cultivate human morals be better in order to give meaning to life. Furthermore, as a guide for a better way of life future. The meaning of oral traditions that develop in the community is very much. For example the meaning when doing immoral acts is different from stealing and the delivery method is also different. His sayings lead to destruction if life is not in accordance with the demands of the Qur'an and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad SAW.

Abstract

This research is motivated by students who have low reading ability. This study studied to study the differences in the results of intensive reading learning using Think-pair-share learning methods and Inquiry learning methods regarding learning motivation of VIII grade students of SMPN 05 Linggo Sari Baganti. This type of research is quantitative with a 2X2 factorial design. The results of the study are as follows. First, the value of intensive reading skills that use the Inquiry method is higher than the value of students who use the Think-Pair-Share method. Second, the value of students' intensive reading skills with high learning motivation using the Inquiry method is better than the value of students using the Think-Pair-Share method. Third, the value of students' reading ability that increases using the Inquiry learning method is better than the value of students who use Think-Pair-Share method. Fourth, there was no interaction between the Think-Pair-Share method and the Inquiry method with the motivation to learn about the reading skills of Grade VIII students of SMPN 05 Linggo Sari Baganti.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explain and analyse the effect of KineMaster learning videos and learning styles on the learning outcomes of writing negotiating texts for the tenth grade of state Madrasah Aliyah in Lima Puluh Kota. This type of research is a quantitative research using a quasi-experimental method with a factorial design or factorial design (2x2). Data collection techniques were writing tests of negotiating texts. The research sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out descriptively by testing normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing. The results showed 3 things. First, learning through KineMaster learning videos is better than teaching through videos sourced from Youtube. Second, there is a significant difference between the results of learning to write negotiating texts between students who are grouped with learning styles and students who are not grouped with learning styles. Third, there is a significant interaction between KineMaster learning videos and learning styles on the results of writing negotiating texts. Therefore, it can be concluded that KineMaster learning videos and learning styles affect students' learning outcomes in writing negotiating texts.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic is the biggest problem in education worldwide. In Indonesia, a policy is put in place to implement distance learning called "School From Home". This is an e-learning assisted distance learning application. The learning model needs to be innovated so that learning can be carried out effectively. The purpose of this research is to develop an Indonesian language learning model by innovating a scientific approach with multimedia to be applied to distance learning. This model is used for high school students. This type of research is Research & Development (R&D) with a 4-D model (four D model) which consists of four stages, namely, define, design, develop, and disseminate. The product developed in this study is an Indonesian language learning model by innovating a scientific approach with multimedia. The media used to support this model include; digital teaching materials, Social Network Sited (whattsapp), Social Learning Network (Edmodo), and Zoom meetings. The product was tested in high schools (SMA N 3 Padang and SMA N 7 Padang) in January 2021. The results of this study indicate that this learning model is valid with a self-validation value of 93.35% and expert validation of 94.81. Furthermore, the learning model was tested to assess the practicality of the learning model with the value of teacher practicality of 93.13% and student validity of 83.73% in the very practical category and the value of student learning activities obtained by 91.43% in the very active category.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the flipped classroom model and learning motivation on the activity proposal writing skills of class XI high school students. The research was conducted at the UNP Laboratory Development High School with a total sample of 57 students, 27 students from the experimental class and 30 students from the control class. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental methods. The experimental design used is factorial design. The population of this study was class XI students at the UNP Laboratory Development High School who were enrolled in the 2022/2023 academic year. The research sample consisted of two classes: class XI IIS 3 and class XI IIS 4. Sampling was carried out using a purposive sample technique. The research instruments were performance tests and questionnaires. Based on research, the flipped classroom model has a significant effect on students' activity proposal writing skills, both for students who have high learning motivation and students who have low learning motivation. In addition, there is no influence between learning motivation and the flipped classroom model.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dan penggunaan bahasa iklan yang terdapat pada iklan layanan masyarakat melalui instagram. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah bentuk dan bahasa pada iklan layanan masyarakat yang diperoleh dari beberapa postingan instagram. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian ini ada dua sebagai berikut. Pertama, ILM berdasarkan isinya ditemukan 11 iklan tentang kesehatan, 9 iklan tentang covid-19, 6 iklan tentang lingkungan, 3 iklan tentang narkoba, 2 iklan tentang media elektronik, 2 iklan tentang eksploitasi sosial dan 7 tentang media sosial. Semua iklan layanan masyarakat bersifat non komersial. Tujuan iklan layanan masyarakat tersebut adalah untuk menginformasikan dan mengajak masyarakat. Kedua, iklan layanan masyarakat menggunakan gaya bahasa yang menarik, pemilihan kata yang tepat dan mudah dipahami, menggunakan slogan yang menarik, menggunakan kalimat persuasif, serta sudut pandang orang pertama tunggal, orang kedua, dan orang ketiga. Untuk penggunaan bahasa iklan layanan masyarakat di instagram hampir sama dengan iklan layanan masyarakat pada umumnya. Namun perbedaannya terletak pada pemilihan kata (diksi) pada caption iklan layanan masyarakat yang cenderung tidak baku dan menggunakan bahasa gaul yang mudah dipahami masyarakat. Bahasa iklan layanan masyarakat di instagram memperhatikan kehematan kata dan kelogisan kata yang digunakan.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in online distance learning. Even though today, science and technology have advanced, the teaching materials used by teachers are still dominated by printed and non-interactive teaching materials. The purpose of this research is to develop digital teaching materials based on Task Based Language Learning (TBLL) containing environmental education in Indonesian language learning in secondary schools. The research was conducted when learning was conducted online remotely. This type of research is Research Development (RD) with the Plomp development model (Preliminary Research, prototyping phase, assessment phase). The research instrument used a questionnaire, observation sheet, and tests. This study describes the results of product practicality based on field trials, with details of product practicality by teachers, product practicality by students, and student learning activities when using the product. Based on the results of the study, it shows that digital teaching materials based on Task Based Language Learning (TBLL) containing environmental education are categorized as very practical with a score of 93.54% based on teacher questionnaires and categorized as very practical with a score of 80.62% based on student questionnaires. In addition, while using digital teaching materials, students were very active with a score of 93.33%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of using the jigsaw cooperative learning model on the writing skills of review texts of class XI MAN 2 Padang City students. This type of research is quantitative with experimental methods. The research design used was The Posttest Only Control Group Design. The study population was class XI MAN 2 Padang City using a purposive sampling technique for sampling. The selected sample consists of two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. The data in this study were scores of students' review text writing skills in class XI MAN 2 Padang City using the jigsaw cooperative learning model and conventional learning models. The research instrument is a performance test. Based on the results of data management, it shows that the average value of students using the jigsaw cooperative learning model is 85.42 while the average value of students using the conventional method is 73.50. The results of the hypothesis test show that tcount > ttable (6.09 > 1.68). Thus, it shows that the jigsaw type cooperative learning model is better than using conventional methods.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan mengenai hal-hal berikut: (1) jenis penilaian otentik yang digunakan guru dalam mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMP Negeri 5 Padang, (2) kendala-kendala yang dihadapi guru mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMP Negeri 5 Padang dalam melakukan penilaian otentik, dan (3) Upaya yang dilakukan guru mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia untuk mengatasi kendala dalam melakukan penilaian otentik di SMP Negeri 5 Padang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 5 Padang. Data hasil penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian otentik yang digunakan guru dalam mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia, kendala-kendala yang dihadapi guru mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia, dan upaya yang dilakukan guru mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia untuk mengatasi kendala dalam melakukan penilaian otentik dalam bentuk wawancara. Sumber data yang diperoleh adalah dari kepala sekolah, wakil kurikulum, guru bahasa Indonesia, dan peserta didik di SMP Negeri 5 Padang. Data yang diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman guru terkait penilaian otentik semakin bertambah sehingga guru mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia semakin kreatif dalam menerapkan jenis penilaian otentik. Selain itu, keragaman bentuk penilaian yang digunakan juga merupakan tuntutan kurikulum merdeka.
