Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to describe the use of conjunction on utama news of Harian Singgalang edition Mei—Juni 2020. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive methods. The data in this study were obtained from the results of a documentation study with the observation and note technique. The techniques used to analyze data are data identification, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results found 978 times the use of conjunctions in 45 data sources with 638 sentences. Coordinative conjunctions were found 518 times, subordinative conjunctions were found 336 times, correlative conjunctions were found 14 times, conjunctions between sentences were found 102 times, and conjunctions between paragraphs was found 8 times. Based on the results of the study, it is concluded that the most common conjunctions found are coordinative conjunctions while the least conjunctions found are conjunctions between paragraphs. Besides, the use of correct conjunctions outweighs the use of improper conjunctions. Kata Kunci: Konjungsi, Kohesi, Berita Utama

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to illustrate the following. First, describing the implementation of character education in write text of folk poetry in SMP Negeri 8 Padang including planning, implementing, and evaluating learning. Secondly, it describes the supporting and inhibiting factors of Indonesian language learning in SMP Negeri 8 Padang, which have character education. This research method is a combination of current triangulation design. The research sample was taken 25% with a proportional random sampling technique of 32 respondents. There are five results of this study. First, a learning plan consisting of a syllabus and a lesson plan (RPP) focuses on three character values, namely religious, creative, and collaboration. Second, the implementation of learning is supported by the results of interviews and the level of achievement of respondents preliminary activities (80.31%), core activities (77.43%), and closing activities (78.04%). Third, the assessment of learning shows an overall achievement level of 78.28% with a good category. Fourth, school programs, teachers, and facilities and infrastructure are supporting factors for learning Indonesian with character. Fifth, the lack of facilities and environmental influences is a barrier to the realization of character education in learning. Kata Kunci: Implementasi Pendidikan Karakter dan Pembelajaran Menulis Teks Puisi Rakyat

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article explains the language politeness of students with Indonesian language teachers through WhtasApp social media at SMP Negeri 2 Bukittinggi. There are four objectives of the research. First, describe the communication ethics of students with Indonesian language teachers through WhatsApp social media at SMP Negeri 2 Bukittinggi. The second describes the principle of politeness according to Leech, students and Indonesian language teachers through WhatsApp social media at SMP Negeri 2 Bukittinggi. The third describes the language politeness scale according to Leech students and Indonesian language teachers through WhatsApp social media at SMP Negeri 2 Bukittinggi. The fourth describes the language politeness of students with Indonesian language teachers through WhatsApp social media at SMP Negeri 2 Bukittinggi. This research is a qualitative research using descriptive method. The data in this study were junior high school students' speech to the teacher via WhatsApp social media. Researchers took data from thirty students consisting of grade 7, grade, and grade 9. Data was collected by asking directly to the data source and completed by interviewing Indonesian language teachers to strengthen the data. There are four research results. First, from the 35 existing data, it was found that 31 data had good ethics. Second, students generally have applied the principle of politeness according to Leech. Third, students generally apply the politeness scale in language. Fourth, from 35 data on WhatsApp messages between students and Indonesian language teachers, 25 polite data were found. Kata kunci: Kesantunan, etika, maksim sopan santun, skala pragmatik, WhatsApp

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat "PKM Guru SDN 11 Lawang Mandahiling dan SDN 13 Salimpaung Kabupaten Tanah Datar”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan proses pembelajaran dan juga meningkatkan hasil keterampilan menulis narasi siswa kelas VI SDN 11 Lawang Mandahiling dengan menggunakan media audio (tape recorder). Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus, dengan tahapan: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Berdasarkan analisis data, menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan terhadap keterampilan menulis narasi siswa dengan menggunakan media audio. Hal ini dapat dilihat peningkatannya pada tahap prapenulisan, yaitu siklus pertama pertemuan pertama sebesar 62 dan pertemuan kedua 69 dengan kualifikasi cukup. Pada siklus kedua meningkat lagi menjadi 85. Hal ini juga ditunjukan dengan keseriusan, keaktifan, dan kreatifitas siswa dalam proes pembelajaran yakni dalam membuat kerangka karangan. Pada tahap penulisan siklus pertama pertemuan pertama mendapatkan nilai 66 dan pada pertemuan kedua nilainya meningkat lagi menjadi 72. Kemudian, pada siklus kedua meningkat nilainya 87 dengan kualifikasi baik. Pilihan kata, ejaan, tanda baca, alur dan kesesuaian judul tulisan siswa juga semakin baik. Selanjutnya, pada tahap pascapenulisan siklus pertama pertemuan pertama adalah 67. Pada pertemuan kedua nilainya mencapai 72 dengan kualifikasi cukup, dan pada siklus kedua meningkat lagi menjadi 87 dengan kualifikasi baik. Hal ini juga didukung oleh kebersihan, kerapian, dan kreatifitas siswa menulis narasi semakin meningkat.

Abstract

Abstract

Membaca merupakan aspek esensial dalam upaya menciptakaan masyarakat yang literat, yaitu masyarakat yang mampu memanfaatkan bacaan untuk memperkaya rohani dan meningkatkan kualitas hidupnya. Menyadari akan pentingnya arti membaca bagi kehidupan maka kebiasaan membaca harus dipupuk dan ditumbuhkembangkan sedini mungkin. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan sebuah media yang mampu menimbulkan motivasi dan keinginan anak untuk membaca.Salah satunya dengan membuat bahan ajar. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan bahan ajar membaca berbasis Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) yang valid ditinjau dari segi isi, penyajian, kebahasaaan dan grafika untuk siswa kelas VII SMP. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan bahan ajar membaca berbasis Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) yang valid ditinjau dari segi isi, penyajian, kebahasaaan dan grafika untuk siswa kelas VII SMP. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model Plomp. Produk yang dihasilkan dalam penelitian ini adalah model bahan ajar membaca teks deskripsi yang digunakan untuk menilai keterampilan membaca siswa kelas VII SMP/MTS. Diharapkan dengan adanya bahan ajar keterampilan membaca ini mampu meningkatkan minat dan keterampilan siswa dalam membaca.

Abstract

Abstrak: Painglimo Awang story is a literary works of verbal. The narration of Panglimo Awang is a tradition of Malay culture that happens in Pasir Pengaraian. This research was written to describe the values contained in Panglimo Awang Narrative. This research is a qualitative research used descriptive analysis method of content descriptive analysis method  . The object of this research is a narrative text of Panglimo Awang  that  data was collected from spiritual messenger called Tukang Koba . this research data is all of culture and education values that contained in opening sentences, utterance and character of figure in narrative text of Panglimo Awang.The result of this research is presented in form of cultural and education values as following: (1) cultural values about the essence of relationship between human and community with indicatorsrespect each others, responsible and advise, (2) the values of religious education with indicators namely believe in god, sincere and grateful, (3) the values of education such as, toughness, responsible, and hard working (4) the values of education concerns by indicators like  polite, friendly, nation spirit, and forgiving. Those four cultural and educational values can be implemented in formal education, especially in learning Bahasa Indonesia.   Kata kunci: nilai-nilai, budaya, pendidikan, bukoba

Abstract

Abstract: Writing skill needs to be taught to students in schools so that they have the ability to make a good news item texts. However, based on preliminary observations found that the students' writing achievement is low. Based on the results of 38 students found only 24 students get minimum criterion score (KKM). It is due to the use of learning strategies and media. Therefore, this study was conducted to describe the process of improving the students writing skill of the news item texts and describing the factor that cause of improvement the students writing skill of news item texts through Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) of eight grade students in SMP Negeri 4 Tambang Kampar Regency. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle performed in 2 meetings, one meeting for learning and one session for a test. The data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Qualitative analyze based on the teacher’s and student’s activity while quantitative data based on the results of tests. News item texts through contextual modeling component aids can be used as a means to create students’ imagination related to the natural view that will be written into news sentences. The writing skill of the news item texts at grade VIII H Tambang, Kampar Regency gets improvement after using contextual modeling component. While the factor cause of improvement the student’s writing skill of the news item texts are (1) take the writing practice by continually (2) the news model texts that giving to the students (3) approach of learn that teacher uses, and (4) observation activity. So, such activity could create the learning efficiency and effectiveness. CTL approach demands on students actively and work in groups cooperatively to optimalize learning outcome. The results of formative test showed that in cycle I gained 2,3 % the percentage of minimum criterion score. The further percentage of minimum criterion score in second cycle is increased 11,2 %. The results of this study proved that the writing skill of the news item texts at grade VIII H Tambang improved after using through CTL approach.   Kata Kunci: Keterampilan Menulis Teks Berita, Pendekatan Kontekstual (Contextual Teaching and Learning)

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to explain the differences in the ability to write a play using a model of the type of modeling contextual learning and cooperative learning model CIRC in class IX.1 SMP N 2 Malalak. Method used is pre experimental design. The selected research design was 2 x 2 factorial design with using a quantitative approach. Based on research data, obtained the following results. First, the ability to write a play class IX Junior High School students are learning Malalak CIRC model is not significantly different from that learned by modeling. Second, students with high prior knowledge taught by modeling obtain better value than the CIRC. Third, students with low prior knowledge taught by CIRC obtain better value than that taught by modeling. Fourth, there was an interaction between the model of learning with students' prior knowledge and skills plays menuis students in class IX SMP N 2 Malalak. The conclusion of this resaerch is that prior knowledge is a matter that needs to be considered in determining learning model that will be used. Abstract

Abstract: This research started from less efectivity on learning teacher meet in religion ministry in Padang. The less teacher who available in each grade and there is no professional team of lesson study made learning less efficiense. This research intended to describe the implementation of plan, do  and see lesson study in learning Indonesian at grade VII.5 MTsN Lubuk Padang. Further  observer understanding  to the duties and responsibilities also classroom management by model’s teacher. Based on these findings it could be concluded that the implementation of lesson study still needed improvement in order to get better learning in the classroom.   Kata kunci: pelaksanaan lesson study, pembelajaran, strategi.
