Abstract

The volatility of firm value in Indonesia’s technology sector—driven by fluctuating financial fundamentals such as leverage, liquidity, and profitability, alongside the accelerating role of big data adoption—highlights the urgent need to investigate how digital transformation moderates the relationship between financial indicators and firm value to ensure competitiveness and sustainability in capital markets. This research seeks to examine the impact of leverage, liquidity, and profitability on company valuation, with big data technology serving as a moderating variable, in technology sector firms listed on the IDX from 2019 to 2023. The advantage of this study lies in its focus on utilizing big data technology as a moderating variable assumed to influence corporate valuation. Secondary data were employed, and a purposive sampling technique was applied, resulting in a sample of 16 firms. Data were analyzed using multivariate linear regression and interaction regression analysis with SPSS software as the analytical tool. The results indicate that leverage has a positive impact on firm value, liquidity has a favorable effect on firm value, and profitability exerts a constructive influence on firm value. However, big data technology does not directly affect firm value, nor does it moderate the relationship between leverage and firm value or between liquidity and firm value. Nevertheless, big data technology strengthens the positive effect of profitability on firm value.

Abstract

The barge burning event go gue cap lak is a local tradition of the Chinese community in Bagansiapiapi. This event is a cultural ritual event for the people of the east coast of Sumatra Island. The event has had an economic effect on the people of Bagansiapiapi City at large. The research was conducted by observation, unstructured in-depth interviews, and literature study. The Baking Barge go gue cap lak tradition event was analyzed from the perspective of the potential local revenue generated on the economic activity conditions of the people of Bagansiapiapi City, namely by using a SWOT analysis technique (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) systematically. The barge-burning cultural event is a unique and specific cultural event for the people of the east coast of Sumatra. The barge-burning cultural event is able to attract thousands of local and foreign tourists. The barge-burning cultural event has a great economic effect on local revenue of the Rokan Hilir district government.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze stock investment risk using the Value at Risk (VaR) method with a qualitative approach. The main focus of the study is to understand how investors interpret risk and how the VaR concept is understood and applied in investment decision-making practices. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Informants in this study were selected through purposive sampling, namely stock investors who have experience in investment activities and a basic understanding of risk. Data analysis was conducted using an interactive analysis model that includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with data validity maintained through triangulation and member checks. The results show that most investors have recognized the importance of risk in stock investment, but understanding of the Value at Risk (VaR) method is still uneven. Investors with a financial background tend to better understand and utilize VaR in determining risk tolerance limits and investment strategies, while other investors rely more on an intuitive approach. There is a gap between the theoretical concept of VaR and its implementation in the field, caused by the complexity of the calculation, limited financial literacy, and psychological factors such as emotions and speculative behavior. Nevertheless, VaR still holds significant potential as a risk management tool if supported by adequate understanding and the use of financial technology. In conclusion, the application of the Value at Risk (VaR) method in stock investment is still suboptimal, but it has high relevance in helping investors manage risk more measurably. This research contributes to the understanding of risk management practices from an investor behavioral perspective and emphasizes the importance of integrating technical and psychological approaches in investment decision-making.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of sales growth, company size, profitability, and non-debt tax shield on the capital structure of food and beverage sub-sector consumption companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2017-2020 period. This study used secondary data. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling. The number of samples obtained amounted to 38 companies. Data analysis in this study used quantitative descriptive and several calculations using the SmartPLS software. From this study, it can be concluded that only the non-debt tax shield significantly affects capital structure. While sales growth, company size, and profitability do not have a significant effect on capital structure.

Abstract

Feed cost remains the largest expenditure in goat farming enterprises and significantly influences profitability, competitiveness, and long-term sustainability. Despite advances in precision livestock farming, limited studies have examined precision nutrition from an agribusiness perspective, particularly in tropical goat production systems. This study aims to analyze the role of Precision Multi-Forage Nutrition (PMFN) as a driver of sustainable goat agribusiness performance through the strategic integration of seven functional forage crops: Bonanza maize (Zea mays), Sweet Lady maize (Zea mays), Indigofera zollingeriana, Anaphalis javanica, Medicago sativa, Pakchong grass (Pennisetum purpureum × Pennisetum americanum), and Odot grass (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott). Using a descriptive case study approach combined with techno-economic and agribusiness feasibility analyses, the study evaluates the nutritional, operational, and economic contributions of diversified forage resources within integrated goat farming systems. The findings indicate that the PMFN framework enhances feed security, improves resource utilization efficiency, reduces dependence on external feed markets, and strengthens business resilience. The integration of seven complementary forage species creates a balanced nutritional ecosystem that supports productivity while simultaneously optimizing feed costs and improving profitability. Guided by the Resource-Based View (RBV), the study demonstrates that diversified forage resources can function as valuable, rare, inimitable, and non-substitutable strategic assets that contribute to sustainable competitive advantage. Furthermore, the study introduces the concept of Forage-Based Competitive Advantage (FBCA), which positions forage diversity and precision nutrition as strategic drivers of agribusiness performance rather than merely production inputs. The results suggest that Precision Multi-Forage Nutrition represents a transformative agribusiness innovation capable of enhancing economic sustainability, operational resilience, and long-term competitiveness in goat farming enterprises. These findings provide theoretical contributions to agribusiness strategy literature and practical implications for farmers, investors, and policymakers seeking sustainable livestock development models.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas program modal bergulir dalam mendukung pengembangan usaha serta mendorong inovasi pada produk olahan pangan lokal. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan, meliputi tahap persiapan dan pemetaan potensi lokal, sosialisasi program, seleksi dan penetapan penerima modal, pelatihan manajemen keuangan dan pengelolaan modal, pelatihan inovasi produk olahan pangan lokal, penyaluran modal bergulir, pendampingan dan monitoring berkala, serta evaluasi dan penguatan keberlanjutan program. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa program modal bergulir dan pengembangan produk olahan pangan lokal memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kapasitas usaha masyarakat. Perluasan akses permodalan membantu pelaku usaha kecil memperkuat keberlangsungan produksi, meningkatkan skala usaha, serta menerapkan perencanaan yang lebih sistematis. Pendampingan yang diberikan turut mendorong perbaikan kualitas produk, inovasi dalam pengolahan dan pemasaran, serta peningkatan daya saing produk lokal di pasar. Selain itu, program ini berkontribusi pada peningkatan kemampuan pengelolaan keuangan, tumbuhnya rasa tanggung jawab kolektif, dan penguatan solidaritas antaranggota kelompok. Dampak ekonomi terlihat dari meningkatnya pendapatan dan stabilitas keuangan keluarga secara bertahap, sementara dampak non-materiil tercermin pada meningkatnya kepercayaan diri dan pola pikir jangka panjang para pelaku usaha. Secara keseluruhan, program ini tidak hanya memperkuat aspek ekonomi, tetapi juga membangun fondasi sosial dan mentalitas kewirausahaan yang mendukung keberlanjutan usaha secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Aggressive behavior among elementary school students is a pressing issue that disrupts the learning environment and affects students’ social-emotional development. Individual counseling services have been identified as an effective intervention to address such behaviors by targeting underlying emotional triggers and promoting self-regulation. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of individual counseling services in reducing aggressive behavior among elementary school students. A quasi-experimental research design with a pre-test and post-test control group format was employed. The study involved 60 elementary school students identified as exhibiting aggressive behaviors, divided into an experimental group receiving counseling services and a control group receiving standard classroom management. Data were collected through behavioral observation sheets, aggression scales, and interviews with teachers. The findings revealed a significant reduction in aggressive behaviors in the experimental group compared to the control group. Students in the experimental group demonstrated improved emotional regulation and conflict resolution skills, as observed in both school and social interactions. These results underscore the importance of individualized interventions in addressing aggressive behavior and fostering a positive school climate.

Abstract

The primary objective of this study is to analyze the impact of advanced digital information systems on business agility and innovation within the industry 6.0 framework. Novelty in this research is to develop new dimension of digital information systems, business agility, and innovation. In this quantitative research, data will be collected using a structured questionnaire. The data will then be analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling. The sample size will be a minimum of 210 respondents, in accordance with SEM guidelines. The study confirms that Digital Information Systems (DIS) significantly improve Business Agility and that Business Agility positively influences Innovation. However, Digital Information Systems do not directly improve Innovation. Instead, Business Agility acts as a mediator, meaning that Digital Information Systems enhances Innovation indirectly through Business Agility. This finding highlights the indirect role of Digital Information Systems in fostering Innovation. Simply adopting digital systems is not enough to drive Innovation; rather, organizations must leverage these systems to enhance their agility, which in turn facilitates innovation. Future research should incorporate qualitative approaches (e.g., case studies, expert interviews) to better understand the mechanisms behind agility-driven innovation.

Abstract

This study explores the lived experiences of employee loyalty within digital start-up firms from the perspective of organizational behavior. In an era where employee retention and engagement are critical, especially in dynamic digital start-up environments, understanding how loyalty is formed and interpreted by individuals becomes vital. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, in-depth interviews were conducted with employees from various Indonesian digital start-ups to uncover the underlying meanings and personal interpretations of loyalty. The findings reveal that employee loyalty is perceived as a complex, evolving construct influenced by emotional attachment, shared values, autonomy, and mutual commitment. Loyalty was not merely transactional or tenure-based, but rather closely linked to personal growth, identity, and value alignment, especially among Millennial and Gen Z employees. This study contributes to organizational behavior literature by offering a nuanced view of loyalty that transcends traditional models, emphasizing the importance of intrinsic motivation and purpose-driven work in fostering long-term commitment. The results also offer practical implications for digital start-up leaders to cultivate environments that support psychological engagement, employee well-being, and sustainable loyalty.

Abstract

Department of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives and SMEs (DITCS) of Riau has an important role in supporting 631,347 groups of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) engaged in various fields such as handicrafts, batik, songket, and food and beverages. Many MSME merchants still market their products traditionally through the neighborhood and word of mouth, while online marketing faces a big challenge because they have to compete with well-known brands, making them difficult to develop and grow their business. To overcome these problems, an Android-based application “LaKu” was developed that aims to help MSME merchants in expanding their marketing reach and increasing their competitiveness in Riau. The development of this application uses the Extreme Programming (XP) method which consists of four main steps: Planning, Design, Code, and Testing. The development results show that the “LaKu” application can be an effective digital marketing platform, helping MSMEs in promoting products more widely without having to compete directly with big brands. With this application, MSMEs are able to increase competitiveness and contribute to local economic growth in Riau Province.
