Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Flipped Classroom learning model on student engagement in the subject of Akidah Akhlak in class X at MAN 1 Bogor. This research is motivated by the low student engagement in the subject of Akidah Akhlak due to the insufficient use of conventional methods that do not actively involve students in the learning process, which has a significant impact on the context of the research. The objective of this study is to measure the extent of the influence of the Flipped Classroom learning model on student engagement in the learning process. The method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental research design of a non-equivalent control group design, involving a sample of 70 students selected using non-probability sampling with purposive sampling techniques. The results of the study indicate that the Flipped Classroom model has a positive effect on student engagement in the subject of Akidah Akhlak in class X at MAN 1 Bogor. The better the learning model and methods used by the teacher, the higher the student engagement in the learning process. Therefore, if a teacher designs the learning process well using various models and methods, it will have a positive impact on student engagement in learning.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of digital assessment in higher education creates opportunities for improving learning evaluation, yet it raises concerns about how assessment can measure academic competence while also cultivating moral and religious character in Islamic education. This study aims to develop a digital-based assessment model that integrates religious character values in evaluating classroom action research proposal writing in Islamic Religious Education courses. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE framework, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Data were collected through surveys, interviews, expert validation, proposal writing assessments, and student feedback questionnaires. The results of the needs analysis indicate limited use of digital assessment and minimal integration of religious character values in existing evaluation practices. The developed assessment rubric integrates research competence indicators with religious character values such as honesty, responsibility, sincerity, consistency, and humility. Expert validation using Aiken’s V demonstrates high content validity, while implementation with prospective Islamic Religious Education teachers shows that the model is effective in improving research proposal writing skills and fostering academic integrity. The study concludes that integrating digital assessment with Islamic character values provides a holistic evaluation framework that supports both professional competence and ethical development in Islamic higher education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the speaking etiquette (adab al-kalam) program for Phase B primary school students (grades 3-4) from an Islamic educational perspective, as well as its impact on students' communication behavior. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation at SD Muhammadiyah 02 Cileungsi, Bogor. The results indicated that the speaking etiquette program was implemented by integrating Quranic and Hadith values with pedagogical methods such as modeling, role-playing, and positive reinforcement. This program had a significant impact on improving students' communication behavior, characterized by increased use of polite language, active listening skills, and interpersonal empathy. The primary challenges identified were the consistency of application outside the school environment and the varying levels of parental involvement. This study concludes that optimal development of speaking etiquette in Phase B is highly dependent on the synergy between teacher role-modeling and continuous reinforcement from the family environment. The implication is that this program can serve as a systematic character education curriculum model for Islamic elementary schools to mitigate the negative impacts of communication in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate the concept of transformative adab pedagogy, a learning model that integrates the personal, spiritual, and social adab values of the three scholars within the context of the Phase A Adab Education program (grades 1–2 of elementary school). This study employs a library research method. The results of the analysis indicate that Az-Zarnuji's ideas regarding the discipline (adab) of learning, Al-Ghazali's concepts of purification of the soul (tazkiyatun nafs) and intention, and Al-Haddad's emphasis on the consistency of worship and social ethics can be collaborated into a comprehensive framework. The implementation of this pedagogy focuses on habituation, exemplary conduct (role modeling), value internalization, and socio-emotional engagement between teachers and students. In conclusion, the synthesis of the thoughts of these three scholars produces a transformative adab pedagogical model that is operational for application in early-phase learning. This model not only strengthens the cultivation of spiritual foundations and self-discipline from an early age but also offers a practical solution to the challenges of educational secularism in Indonesian elementary schools.
