Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work motivation, work discipline, and work environment on employee performance at the Regional Personnel Agency of Labuhanbatu Regency. This research uses a quantitative associative approach with a sample of 41 employees using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS. The results show that partially, work motivation does not have a significant effect on employee performance, while work discipline and work environment have a positive and significant effect. Simultaneously, all variables significantly affect employee performance with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.496. The most dominant variable influencing employee performance is work discipline

Abstract

This research aims to analyze Instagram-based promotional strategies used by Beeje Coffee Lhokseumawe in increasing customer engagement. In the digital era, social media marketing has become essential for small businesses, especially those in the culinary industry. This qualitative descriptive study utilized interviews, observation, and documentation to examine how Beeje Coffee crafts its promotional content, utilizes Instagram features, and addresses limitations in digital engagement. The findings reveal that visual consistency, creative content, and audience interactivity significantly impact engagement metrics. However, the absence of structured planning and limited digital skills remain major obstacles. The study is supported by theories of promotional strategy, digital marketing, social media utilization, Instagram branding, and digital engagement.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that companies claim to have implemented CSR but are still involved in cases related to social and environmental issues. The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of company size, company age, sector type, profitability as measured by ROA, green accounting, board of directors’ size, and the involvement of female board members on CSR disclosure. The method used was a quantitative method with multiple linear regression analysis. The testing process was carried out using SPSS version 27 as the analysis tool on a sample of 50 Indonesian SOEs listed on the IDX, using data from 2018–2022. The results of this study indicate that green accounting has a positive influence on CSR disclosure; company size and profitability, as measured by ROA, have a negative influence on CSR disclosure; while company age, sector type, board of directors’ size, and the involvement of female board members do not influence CSR disclosure. Thus, H1, H2, H3, H4, H6, and H7 are rejected, while H5 is accepted.

Abstract

The presence of children in the marriage is considered by society as ordinary and desired in marriage. Gender stereotypes, the nature of women, as well as the view of the prevailing patriarchal culture in Indonesia strengthens the desire and need for the couple to have children in a marriage. But some couples experience infertility. Infertility refers to the failure of a couple to have a child after 24 months or so on for having a child with sexual intercourse without using contraception. The experience of infertility can be viewed differently by individuals who experience it. Self-esteem in this study extend from the relation between the dimensions of competence and worthiness that refers to the theory of self-esteem by Mruk and Branden. Data collection was conducted with an unstructured interview. Characteristics of participants in this study are couples that have been trying to have a child with sexual intercourse without using contraception for 2 years or more, but not getting the first child. The number of participants who contributed to this study are two couples were interviewed separately, both among husband and wife and between couples. The results of this study ilustrates that self-esteem, a husband and wife who experience infertility depends on how important the presence of children for each individual. Self worth and social factors that are owned by each individual has an important role in the self-esteem of both husband and wife to experience infertility. In addition, spousal support also plays a role in the self-esteem of each individual.
