Abstract

Learning design models are used so that learning activities run smoothly and are varied. Most teachers still have not implemented learning models, so teachers are less able to stimulate students in finding and solving problems contained in learning material. This study aims to determine the Civics and Social Studies learning design models that are often used in Indonesia and in various countries at the elementary school level. Writing this article using qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out by means of a literature study. The results of the study found that without designing and using the right model, learning activities could fail, even though the material prepared was as interesting as possible. The selection of learning design models can be seen from the conditions, needs, nature of teaching materials, characteristics of students, and learning media. In Indonesia, the learning design models that are often used are the ADDIE, ASSURE, and Dick and Carey. While the learning design models implemented by several countries are the STEM model (America, South Korea and Finland), the DMKK model (Japan), the Discovery Learning (Marland and Turkey), and the Mind Mappingy (Arabia, Turkey and Australia). Teachers are guided to be able to apply learning design models when learning activities take place in order to achieve the expected learning objectives.

Abstract

The curriculum continues to change and is developed according to the needs of the time. The purpose of curriculum development is to be able to facilitate all the needs of students so that the learning objectives are achieved optimally. The independent curriculum emerged as a renewal of the previous curriculum. One aspect that has changed is the teaching device in the form of teaching modules with many components in it. Therefore, most teachers experience difficulties in their preparation. The purpose of this study was to find out how the teacher's readiness and ability to develop teaching modules based on the Merdeka curriculum and steps that can be taken to improve the teacher's ability to develop teaching modules. Writing this article using a literature approach (literature review). The results of the study found that there were still many teachers who were not fully prepared to implement the independent learning curriculum, this could be seen from the fact that there were still many teachers who were unable and had difficulty in compiling teaching tools, one of which was the teaching module. Concrete efforts are needed to improve teacher abilities and competencies, including by holding training and or technical guidance related to the preparation of teaching devices according to the demands of the Merdeka curriculum. Thus, the problem of unpreparedness and the inability of teachers to compile teaching modules can be resolved properly.

Abstract

Design is an activity that demands professionalism and competence, because it is impossible for someone to design learning properly and correctly if they do not have the appropriate education and experience. That way, designing requires sufficient knowledge, experience, and observation of the symptoms and characteristics of the problem. The rapid advancement of technology and science has had a major influence on the conditions and circumstances of human life, science and technology have affected the scope of human life, one of which is education, namely the PKN and social studies learning process. The correct implementation of PKN and IPS learning processes is learning activities that increase interest or motivation, as well as student activities in the learning process. ICT-based learning media, namely learning media for all technologies related to retrieval, collection (acquisition), processing, storage, dissemination, and presentation of information/data using computers and telecommunications. ICT is used to support learning processes that are believed to be able to: 1. improve the quality of learning 2. differentiate access to education and learning 3. reduce education costs 4. answer the necessity of participating in ICT, and 5. increase ICT skills (ICT skills) that students need when working in the future Strategies for using ICT in learning include: (1) ICT as a tool or learning media, (2) ICT as a learning facility/place, (3) ICT as a learning resource, and (4) ) ICT as a means of increasing professionalism
