Abstract

This study examines the planning and implementation of differentiated instruction in literary writing at the senior high school level. The primary focus is how teachers respond to students’ varying interests and learning styles during the instructional process, as these individual differences necessitate adaptive and responsive instructional planning. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with a multiple case study design, this research was conducted at two public senior high schools with distinct geographical and student characteristics. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The results indicate that teachers conducted diagnostic assessments to identify students’ readiness, interests, and learning profiles, which served as the foundation for designing instructional modules. These modules incorporated content differentiation through varied examples of short stories and hikayat in both visual and audiovisual formats. Process differentiation was implemented by grouping students based on their interests and learning styles and by offering choices in writing themes. Furthermore, product differentiation allowed students to submit their work in either print or digital formats. The implementation of differentiated instruction demonstrates teachers’ efforts to create inclusive, engaging, and student-centered learning environments that effectively accommodate diverse learner needs.

Abstract

In Indonesia, religion has long been a major factor in determining political legitimacy, especially when it comes to local democracy. This study looks at how political actors in Jambi harness religious symbols, moral authority, and religious leaders' power to win over voters. The goal is to comprehend religion as a strategic sociopolitical tool ingrained in regional power dynamics rather than just as a set of beliefs. The study employs a qualitative research design and examines how religious narratives and practices function within electoral rivalry through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The results show that religion serves as symbolic capital (Bourdieu) that can be converted into political capital, opening doors for legitimacy based on Weber's conception of conventional and charismatic authority. Voter turnout, candidate credibility, and public trust have all been demonstrated to be greatly increased by religion-based tactics. However, the public's reaction to these methods is similarly conflicted. Religious participation promotes social cohesiveness and moral resonance in political discourse, but it also bears the risk of social polarization and identity exclusivism, which could jeopardize the stability and inclusivity necessary for democratic consolidation. The study comes to the conclusion that religion functions as a dual-force legitimacy mechanism, supporting social integration and political leadership while simultaneously fostering factionalism in multiple communities. The ramifications highlight the need for a more critical view of religion's involvement in electoral politics, acknowledging it as a formidable tool for political mobilization as well as a possible obstacle to the growth of an inclusive and developed local democracy in Indonesia.

Abstract

Educational institutions can function well if their performance can be measured clearly. Educational institutions should be empowered towards optimal empowerment, by developing schools with strategic planning, a vision and mission, an independent school, empowering the community by many efforts to increase the role and participation of the community through school committees. To make schools as educational institutions of high quality, they need to be evaluated and controlled. The School achieved can be said that the institution is measurable. One alternative is offered in measuring the performance of schools known by the Balanced Scorecard (BSC). The Balanced Scorecard was introduced by Robert Kaplan and David Norton by understanding the school's mission and strategy into objectives and measures, which are arranged in four perspectives.

Abstract

One of the breakthroughs made by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology is the launch of Learning Accounts which can be accessed through www.belajar.id. This account can be used by students, educators, and education staff to access electronic-based learning services. A Learning Account is created in the form of a Google Account with the @belajar.id domain. The use of technology and mastery of digital literacy are important for teachers to master considering that currently many learning materials are sourced and accessed from the internet. This training aims to assist teachers at KKMTs Purwakarta, in accessing features available on Google Workspace for Education, so that it is hoped that teachers can maximize the student learning process online during distance learning. The general objective of implementing this training is to increase teachers' understanding and skills regarding the use of digital technology as a learning medium in learning activities. The specific objectives of this training include: (1) Teachers are able to use and manage online classes, (2) optimize available digital technology facilities, and (3) increase the effectiveness, efficiency and attractiveness of learning. The methods that will be used in the implementation of the training are socialization, practice, mentoring, and evaluation. Abstract

Soybean is a strategic commodity in the national food system; however, its productivity remains low. The application of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) and NPK fertilizer is considered an effort to improve soybean productivity. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of LOF and NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of soybean. The research was conducted on dryland from April to July 2024 using a factorial Randomized Block Design with three replications. The first factor was LOF concentration (0, 25, and 50 mL L⁻¹), and the second factor was NPK rate (0, 150, and 300 kg ha⁻¹). Observed variables included plant height, number of primary branches, number of effective root nodules, number of filled pods, percentage of filled pods, percentage of empty pods, 100-seed weight, dry seed weight per plant, and dry seed weight per plot. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance followed by the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test at the 5% significance level. The results showed no significant interaction between LOF and NPK for all observed variables. Application of NPK at 150 kg ha⁻¹ was the optimal rate for increasing plant height, number of effective root nodules, and dry seed weight per plant, whereas LOF derived from Cladophora glomerata had no significant effect. Therefore, application of NPK at 150 kg ha⁻¹ is recommended to improve soybean productivity on dryland, and further studies are needed to evaluate the effectiveness of LOF under various soil conditions with reduced NPK rates.
