Abstract

The aim of this research is to measure the effectiveness of learning media for students' pronunciation skills, which currently has a lot of misunderstanding regarding information about English pronunciation for students who are not native speakers of English. With this feature, it is certainly hoped that it will help in solving problems, and the Read Aloud feature from Microsoft Edge can be an alternative learning method. This research is specifically designed to improve students' abilities in English pronunciation, which makes the Read Aloud feature a learning medium. This research uses a qualitative method with a pre-experimental design. This research was conducted at SMPN 9 Tangerang Selatan involving 38 students from grade 7. The data used was taken from the pre-test and post-test. The data used is taken from the pre-test and post-test, based on the results taken from the t-test, Sig, 2 tail shows a result of 0.00, which is <0.05, therefore, there is a significant change from pre-test to post-test that affects student scores, therefore, the H0 hypothesis is rejected and H1 can be accepted. The results can be seen from the pre-test and post-test scores that show significant differences after being given treatment with the read feature aloud. The research results showed that the pre-test and post-test scores were (-19.21053) and the standard deviation was (6.52711). The mean standard error is 1,05884. The 95% confidence interval shows that the lower difference is (- 21.35593), while the upper difference is (-17.06512). The T-test result is (- 18.143) with df 37, and the two-sided test significance is 0.000 < 0.05.

Abstract

Since there are so many different kinds of pronouns in English, students often make an error, particularly when using possessive pronouns. Therefore, this study, which involved 36 students in class 10th at SMA Negeri 3 Tangerang Selatan, was conducted to identify the different kinds of errors made by students when using possessive pronouns. Knowing these errors can help find solutions to overcome them. The aim of this research is to: 1) To find out the types of students' errors in using possessive pronouns in sentences. 2) Explain the solution to help students understand how to use possessive pronouns in sentences. The method used in this research is a qualitative method. Data collection techniques in this research are interviews and documentation. Data analysis uses Miles and Huberman theory, by means of data reduction, data presentation and verification. The results of this research are: 1) the mistakes made by students in using possessive pronouns in sentences were in the pronoun "his" as many as 23 students answered incorrectly, in the pronoun "my" as many as 18 students were incorrect, in the pronoun "her" as many as 19 students were incorrect, "our and it" 5 students got it wrong, and 2 students got the pronoun "mine" wrong. 2) The solution to overcome errors in using possessive pronouns is mind mapping, re-explanation, and memorizing.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of Character.ai (C.ai) on speaking self-confidence among Indonesian EFL learners in secondary school setting. Despite English’s global importance, EFL learners often struggle with speaking due to linguistic barriers (e.g., grammar, pronunciation) and psychological barriers (e.g., anxiety, low confidence). Leveraging AI’s potential, this quantitative study employs a pre-experimental one-shot case study design to evaluate Character.ai ‘s effectiveness. Data were collected from 37 eleventh-grade students at SMAN 01 Gunung Putri, Bogor, through post-tests assessing speaking skills (fluency, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, comprehension) and self-confidence (ability, assurance, engagement). The results revealed 41% students achieved of “Very Good” category, 43% students achieved of “Good” category, 11% students achieved of “Adequate” category. Statistical analysis (one-sample t -test, t (36) = 2.121, p = 0.041) confirmed a significant improvement in speaking confidence. However, challenges such as classroom noise and low-quality smartphone speakers affected the experience. While C.ai offers real-time feedback and personalized learning without teacher guidance, students’ confidence may also be influenced by other external factors. Thus, the findings highlight both the potential and limitations of using AI-based tools in language learning.

Abstract

Perhitungan integral lipat untuk menghitung volume pendakian elips merupakan masalah yang sangat sulit ketika dihitung dengan analitik. Salah satu cara menghitung integral lipat selain dengan analitik bisa juga dengan metode pendekatan stokastik. Metode Monte Carlo merupakan salah satu metode stokastik yang dapat digunakan untuk menghitung volume pendaki elips. Metode ini menggunakan bilangan random besar untuk mendekati nilai volume sebenarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari volume pendakian elips menggunakan integral lipat dua yang dilakukan pendekatan metode Monte carlo dengan bantuan program Python. Volume jarum elips yang akan dihitung harus diukur terlebih dahulu. Selanjutnya pembuatan program dengan bahasa Python. Dari hasil simulasi program yang dibuat dilakukan beberapa percobaan dari bilangan acak yang dibuat.

Abstract

AbstractThis research investigated the effect of online reading communities on students’ English reading abilities through Instagram platform This research study was conducted to examine how interaction within an online reading community was able to influence the improvement of students’ reading abilities in English. The research used quantitative descriptive method in which the data were collected through a 5-Likert-scale questionnaire, consisting of 26 statements; 13 statements were related to variable X and 13 other statements were about reading abilities. The sample of this research comprised grade 1 until grade 3 high school students involved in online reading communities on Instagram. A total of 50 students of several public senior high schools in the area of Pesanggarahan, selected through purposive sampling technique. The analysis data showed that interactions in online reading communities could improve students' abilities in reading. This was proven by statistical analysis of the significance value of 0.000 <0.05 and based on the value of tcount; 4.566 which was higher than ttable of 2.011. Thus, this study concluded that Online Reading Community a(X) affected Students’ Reading Abilities (Y). Besides, on the regression test, that effect percentage was 30.3%. Keywords: reading skills, online reading community, Instagram.Abstrak  Penelitian ini menginvestigasi pengaruh dari komunitas baca dalam jaringan terhadap keterampilan membaca bahasa Inggris siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas melalui platform Instagram. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengukur bagaimana interaksi didalam komunitas membaca dalam jaringan tersebut dapat mempengaruhi peningkatan keterampilan membaca bahasa Inggris siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dimana data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan angket skala 5 yange berisi 26 pernyataan; 13 terkait variabel X (komunitas membaca onine) dan 13 tentang kemampuan membaca siswa.. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa sekolah menengah atas kelas 1 sampai 3 yang tergabung dalam komunitas membaca dalam jaringan di Instagram. Sejumlah 50 orang siswa SMA dari beberapa sekolah menengah Negeri di daerah Pesanggrahan, terpilih untuk menjadi sampel melalui teknik sampel bertujuan (purposive sampling techinue). Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa interaksi dalam komunitas baca dalam jaringan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan dan motivasi siswa dalam membaca. Hal ini dibuktikan dari analisis statistika pada nilai signifikan 0.000<0.05 dan berdasarkan nilai t-hitung yang lebih besar dari t-tabel, yaitu 4,566>2,011. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa komunitas membaca dalam jaringan sebagai variabel X berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan membaa siswa sebagai variabel Y. Selain itu, hasil uji regresi menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh tersebut adalah sebesar 30,3%. Kata Kunci: keterampilan membaca, komunitas baca dalam jaringan, Instagram

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi di era revolusi industri - 4.0 hingga society - 5.0 menuntut adanya adaptasi dalam pendidikan, termasuk penguasaan coding dan kecerdasan buatan (AI) sejak dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi tantangan dan peluang integrasi pembelajaran coding dan AI di sekolah dasar, yang direncanakan masuk kurikulum Indonesia pada tahun ajaran 2025/2026. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif berdasarkan observasi sistematis terhadap jurnal, buku, dan dokumen kebijakan terkait. Hasil utama penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran coding dan AI dapat meningkatkan kreativitas, berpikir komputasional, dan literasi teknologi siswa. Namun, terdapat hambatan yang signifikan, seperti keterbatasan infrastruktur teknologi, kurangnya sumber daya manusia untuk diawasi, resistensi terhadap perubahan, serta kesenjangan digital di wilayah terpencil. Meski demikian, integrasi ini memiliki potensi besar untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan melalui personalisasi pembelajaran berbasis teknologi dan pengembangan keterampilan abad ke-21. Kesimpulan utama dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya kolaborasi antar pemangku kepentingan untuk mengatasi hambatan dan memanfaatkan peluang ini secara optimal. Kontribusi penelitian ini terletak pada penyediaan rekomendasi bagi pengambil kebijakan pendidikan dalam merumuskan implementasi strategi yang efektif dan merata.

Abstract

This study aimed to measure the effectiveness of project-based learning (PBL) in improving the ability of third-grade elementary school students to formulate hypotheses. The subjects of this study were 24 third-grade students at SDI Tebuireng Abdul Wahid Hasyim. The research method used was a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data was collected through observation sheets, student worksheets, and assessment rubrics. The results showed a significant increase in students' ability to formulate hypotheses after following project-based learning. This improvement was due to the active involvement of students in the learning process, the relevance of the material to everyday life, and teacher support. The implications of this study are the importance of integrating project-based learning into the curriculum to improve the quality of student learning.

Abstract

The study aims to develop and standardize anti-bullying programs at the elementary school level as an effort to prevent bullying incidents among students where bullying is a serious problem that can affect the physical and mental well-being of students, so it is important to create a safe and supportive educational environment and is designed to increase students' awareness of bullying behavior and impacts, and also build empathy among them. Integration of interactive methods such as musicalization and simulations to make the material more interesting and easy to understand by students and it is hoped that standardized anti-bullying programs can be applied in various other elementary schools, so that they can create a positive culture that supports the social and emotional development of students and reduce bullying incidents significantly, recommending to involve all stakeholders, including parents and communities, in efforts to prevent bullying in the educational environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Scout activities in shaping the character values of elementary school students, especially in Tangerang City. Using survey and experimental methods, data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and measurements of pretests-postes on students involved in Scout activities. The results of the study show that Scout activities significantly increase character values such as discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and leadership. The experimental class that intensively participated in Scout activities showed a higher increase in character values compared to the control class. Activities such as group games, leadership simulations, and outdoor exploration provide hands-on experiences that help students understand and apply these values in everyday life. In addition, social interaction during Scout activities also increases empathy, tolerance, and communication skills between students. A survey of teachers and parents revealed that 85% of respondents considered Scout activities to be very effective in shaping students' character. The results of this study confirm that Scouting is not only an additional activity, but also an important instrument in character education in the modern era. The values contained in the Trisatya and Dasa Darma become moral guidelines that are applied through real practice. These findings contribute to the development of a more holistic character education curriculum that is relevant to today's challenges. Further research is suggested to expand the scope and explore new methods in the integration of Scout activities with formal education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran gerakan literasi dalam membangun kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sekolah dasar menggunakan metode kajian pustaka. Dalam konteks pembelajaran sekolah dasar, literasi tidak hanya mencakup kegiatan membaca dan menulis, melainkan juga melibatkan kemampuan mengevaluasi, menganalisis, dan menyintesis informasi dari berbagai sumber. Namun, berbagai kajian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa masih perlu ditingkatkan, terutama dalam mengevaluasi informasi secara logis dan menyusun argumen berbasis bukti. Integrasi literasi dengan pembelajaran berbasis proyek, literasi visual, dan diskusi kelompok diidentifikasi sebagai pendekatan efektif dalam melatih kemampuan tersebut. Esensi gerakan literasi di sekolah dasar terletak pada penciptaan lingkungan pembelajaran yang merangsang rasa ingin tahu, keterampilan analitis, serta refleksi kritis siswa terhadap berbagai isu yang mereka hadapi. Kondisi tersebut menegaskan pentingnya pendekatan literasi yang lebih sistematis dan mendalam. Melalui integrasi aktivitas literasi dalam proses pembelajaran yang aktif dan reflektif, kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dapat berkembang secara optimal sejak dini. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa gerakan literasi memiliki kontribusi signifikan dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis yang sangat esensial bagi siswa untuk menghadapi tantangan dan kompleksitas dunia modern.
